Acrobat Reader

In my entire life i have never seen a situation where you daily update and interrupt your work, and still it crashes!

Hello, maybe someone has a similar problem and managed to fix it? Recently, whenever I save a file from word in the "Save as.. PDF" option as I usually do it. If my file name has comas (,) it changes the name and instead of the comas it puts ^J Someone knows why and how to fix it? It's kind of annoying to have to manually change the name and put comas again instead of that ^J. I'm using windows by the way and both my Microsoft and Adobe apps are "original". Thanks in advance.

All, Is the navigation panel with the table of content on the left of the Adobe reader no longer available? Generally, I can find the navigation pane here and can go to the section but for the last few days have not been seeing this thanks  

In Oracle Retail Point of service we have functionality called e-receipt which is used to send the receipt to customer’s email-id(our code will convert the ordinary receipt into PDF document and same has been sent to the customer). Our client’s request to incorporated the Arabic text along with English text in e-receipt functionality. We are able to print the proper receipt at XXXX printer. But we are facing the issue in e-receipt from long time ,  we are writing the both Arabic & English receipt data into pdf format through a java program , when we open pdf both Arabic and English  character are displaying as overlapping and not proper alignment , words are overlapped, text becomes jumbled and has the different meaning which is not related as same as printed one. We have tried the multiple fonts(LateefRegOT and others) which are supported to our POS application. Kindly confide that where is problem, is pdf is not supporting Arabic data. Please response me earliest possib

I am working on making our fillable forms accessible and one section of my form reads,  "underscore" incessantly. Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?

In the latest version of Acrobat Reader the registry on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Classes/.pdf/PersistantHandler not available where as its coming in Adobe reader 11 version.   

How can I shut down Acrobat Reader when it is frozen? It is interfering with shutting down my computer.

I have a pdf file with many hyperlinks, all of them work well when clicking on them, also the hand icon appears when hovering on them, but they are not highlighted so users do not notice them. I can highlight them one by one right-clicking on them > Edit Link > Link Type == Visible rectangle & Color == blue but this is not efficient. Example:In the following text the red-underlined text are hyperlinks and work well, the 1st one is intuitive because it has url nomenclature, but the 2nd one is not noticeable:  I am looking for a way to highlight all my hyperlinks automatically. I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. PDF Version: 1.4 (Acrobat 5.x) 

All I want to do is READ ONLY a .pdf file, but if other users are logged into all of the concurrent Pro licenses I bought, I can not use the read-only "free"  reader version. That is counterintuitive....

I'm struggling to turn off the "Welcome to Acrobat Pro" page, and it's quite bothersome to have it pop up every time I open Adobe. I've attempted to modify the preferences and general settings, but unfortunately, it hasn't resolved the issue. Any assistance with this matter would be highly appreciated.

Recently my measure tool has stopped allowing me to measure the distance of a line at any angle other than vertical or horizontal on the PDF page.I have tried the repair tool and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat Reader to no avail...Any help would be greatly appreciatedRob

When I select text in a PDF document, the previous selection doesn't automatically clear, resulting in previously selected text still showing even after I've selected something new. Estoy experimentando un problema molesto al intentar seleccionar texto. Cuando selecciono texto en un documento PDF, la selección anterior no se borra automáticamente, lo que resulta en que el texto previamente seleccionado siga apareciendo incluso después de haber seleccionado algo nuevo. In the latest version of Acrobat Reader the registry on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Classes/.pdf/PersistantHandler not available where as its coming in Adobe reader 11 version. We are using an Adobe PDF iFilter(AcroRdIF.dll) for search indexing to do the PDF content text search in appropriate folder's PDF document. So this dll available while installing the Adobe reader 11. but now its stopped supporting and in the latest version of Adobe reader installation we could not find this dll available in the installation folder after install done and appropriate registry key also not entered in the registry.  So is there any alternate appropriate to achieve the content search indexing in the latest version version of adobe...?

I open a file and when I close the program it stops working, we have already updated and checked all the updates for both Adobe and Windows, we have repaired the installation of Adobe Acrobat, we have uninstalled it and reinstalled it and I still have the same problem. I'm using Windows Server 2016 Standard  

I was trying out the AI assistant on my Adobe Reader yesterday, but today It showed me a message saying that I am not eligible to use it. I then purchased it and received 2 confirmation emails, one of which suggested using the tool online or on the Acrobat reader.The AI assistant seems to be working online but on the reader, it does not.I tried removing and reinstalling Acrobat Reader but the option to use the assistant disappeared completely.

Buenos dias, revisando las versiones de reader que tenemos en nuestro parque nos aparece varias versiones: - Adobe Acrobat (64Bits)- Adobe Acrobat Reader- Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. ¿Que diferencia hay entre ellas? Haciendo pruebas en algunos equipos con la version DC, le hemos instalado la ultima actualizacion de vuestra pagina oficinal y ha pasado a llamarse Adobe Acrobat (64Bits). ¿es esto el proceso normal? Saludos

Recemment lors de l'enregistrement sous d'un fichier pdf, on nous proposait des fichiers recemment utilisés, or maintenant c'est un seul emplacement qui est proposé par défaut, or c'est trés génant quand il faut modifier à chaque fois le dossier , lors de d'opérations répétitives ! Does the 2024 version of the acrobat reader highlights and read the text at the same time?

Installed Reader DC (continous) on Windows 7 (64 bit) about 3-4 weeks ago. I followed all these insructions to disable auto updates. But today, when Reader DC was running, it auto installed an update anyway. (It displayed a message that it was doing so.) Completely unacceptable. Below are the things I did after installing Reader DC to disable auto updates. What am I missing? (Note: no manual updates for reader or any other Adobe product have been applied since these settings were set. There are no Creative cloud applications installed. There is only one Windows user login on this machine, me, and it is an adminstrator login. Hello, we would like Adobe Acrobat Reader to be automatically set as the default for PDF files.How do we proceed with a Windows device with multiple user profiles? The following situation:Windows PC with multiple user profiles Our intention:Adobe Acrobat Reader should be automatically set as the default for PDF files under each user.Also for new future users. How can we implement this so that we do not have to make this setting for each individual user?It may be possible via a Powershell script or via CMD. 

Hi,I have a slight issue with making an interactive pdf file. I haven't made any before so i don't have too much knowledge about it. Simply i have a map with multiple layers exported from ArcGis Pro.  I want to make an interactive pdf from this file so the reader is able press a button on the file that will turn a layer off and on. The current feature only allows me to show one layer and will turn the others off. I want the reader to turn multiple layers on and off at the same time. How can i do this? Thanks for your help in advance.
