We all think training is important. When someone fails to complete an assignment is that information tracked in the LMS anywhere? We'd like to be able to generate a report of how many times a person has missed a deadline so that information can be discussed during an annual review.Of course, we'd also like to generate a report showing how many times a person MET a deadline so that can also be included in the annual review. Is that possible with Prime?
I am setting up a certification in Prime. When setting up reminders I see that the reminders I add include "No escalation" which implies I can set up escalation. I can't find anything in the documentation about escalation of notifications to any other person such as their manager or the training department. Is this possible or something coming in the future? Or am I completely misunderstanding escalation.
We have no experience yet with certifications but we are trying to look ahead to see how we might use certifications in Prime.I've reviewed the online help information about certifications but it doesn't mention any way to control the certifications beyond how a learner must complete a list of courses associated with the certification. Is it possible to revoke a certification later for non-academic reasons? We'd like to use the certification feature of Prime to manage our inspector authorizations and sometimes authorizations are revoked for various reasons. If we can't manually revoke (de-certify) someone, then we can't use Prime to help manage that process.Thoughts?
I have more than 60 modules in a course and I need to arrange them. Is it possible to customize how content of the course are displayed? I would need something like this..I would need something like this..
In my skills list, I can see that I have 13 learners assigned to a skill. When I select the option to Assign to Learners, only 1 user group is viewable (the user group only has 4 people assigned to it). How can I view the other 9 people assigned? How can I remove a learner from a skill?
can someone answer this questions?is ti possible for a student to submit an assignment to a teacher for correction and for the teacher to make the evaluation and send it to the student? Is it possible for a student to send a message to a teacher?thank you,Fabio
Is it normal for a retired course to generate notifications to someone who has started but not completed a course, before it was retired? It would seem desirable for a retired course to go completely silent and stop generating any notifications at all. After all, it was retired because it is no longer of value.Thoughts?
If I understand correctly, there are certain limitations to using external user accounts (the self-registration service too), when it comes to tracking users' progress and performance across the LMS.As we are working with elderly test subjects who might not be very technologically inclined, we would prefer to make signing up and in as easy as possible, and so the Adobe ID is simply not ideal. Is there any alternative?
Does Prime provide for learner discussion forums, as is common in D2L, Moodle, etc.?
Would like feedback from others in similar situations or just with great ideas! We are looking to use Prime (in part) to assist us with the orientation of new faculty members. Those who can make it to campus participate in a face to face workshop. For those off campus faculty we are hoping to have more resources online via Prime. This could be self-paced courses and/or live Adobe connect meetings. We are looking to digitize as much of this process as possible. The main points of the orientation from a setup standpoint are: Filling out the profile info (new faculty)Going through a checklist with various staff and their dept chair and dean. Doing a self assessment of teaching skills and technology experience.Setting up goals for their first year or two to increase knowledge/skills.With the features Prime has currently, we plan to put our asynchronous content online, job aids and other resources from the web and our knowledge-base, and hopefully have some adobe connect live meetings. I wonder if there is a possibility to create a communication platform among users or with their tutor. I think about kind of user forum or even tutor blog allowing postings.
The click and drag across the timeline is a real nuisance! You need to keep circling the mouse to keep the selection panning to the right.
I've removed 2 learners that I was competing against on the Leader board progress bar because there were 3 people on the same points and they were overlapping each other. Now the users that I removed (by clicking on the x button on their profile image) are no longer available to add to the leader board again. When I type their name I don't get any results. How can I add them back to see how they're competing with me?RegardsSean Ryan
What causes the Get Adobe ID link from the Prime log in screen to vanish? I have a computer where a new user failed to obtain a new Adobe ID. Ever since that time, we've not been able to see the Get Adobe ID link on the login page, under IE11.We DO see it under Chrome running on that same computer. Unfortunately, IE11 is our standard so we can't just switch browsers. We have cleared the browser cache and restarted that computer with no positive result. Still no Get Adobe ID link on the Prime log in page.Anyone else having this issue with IE11?
Hi Everyone,At my company we have created new employee training and have published it in Prime. We would like to make instances of the course available ONLY during certain dates. I see where we can set due dates, but I don't see how to block access to a course until a specific start date like I have done in many LMS systems. Is there a feature in Prime that allows us to set a start date for a course instance? Thanks
When creating, updating, or modifying modules, one can use "Tags" to help identify and sort different modules within Prime. My question is for two reasons. I want to know if learners are able to search for content or view tags associated with modules. This will impact tags created.Basically, I want to use specific tags to identify and sort modules, without learners being able to see these sensitive tags.If they can search by them or view them, I simply need to know.Thanks.
As we continue to learn Prime and how we can use it to help manage our programs, we've learned that the concept of User Groups as implemented in Prime, are less useful that we expected. We want to manage our training requirements and recertification through our user groups. The thought was that we could build a user group and then use the user group to assign learners to many courses and certifications and maintain those relationships through the user groupds. While that works on the first day, it doesn't work after the initial setup. Why?Because when we add someone to that user group in the future, the courses we have assigned learners to, using that user group, are not automatically updated. That means that we now have to manually assign learners to those courses.Am I missing something? Perhaps someone can help me understand the purpose of the user groups in Prime and how they are intended to be used over the long term?
As a stand alone product (meaning without the help of creating something in Adobe Captivate, then publishing it in Prime), does Prime have the capability to...Have a company specific Terms of Use page appear that all my learners must agree to before gaining access to company courses?Prevent, learning content from being copied, reproduced, stolen?Have a company specific learners' forum (examples include, one just for sales, one just for product development, then one for entire organization)?Have a company specific welcome message for users newly added to the platform?Have the option of creating a knowledge index report? For example, a learner works through a course, but needs remediation, is there a report that indicates to Admin/Manager specifically what learning content that person needs remediation on?...some of the aforementioned are features I have in my current cloud-based LMS.
Is there any functionality change associated with the course instance expiration date? I am hoping the expiration date can be used to "lock down" a course at a certain point in time. It would great if learners were no longer able to complete unfinished models after the deadline or in some way have the system indicate that it was completed past the deadline. If course instances are not able to accomplish this is there another way to use the system to do this? Thanks,Ash
I am trying to set up courses that would allow learners to only sign up till a certain date. I thought I could use instance deadline, but this field is not changeable. How would I accomplish stopping leaners from signing up. And what is the purpose of the instance deadline?
I used the Quiz feature in Captivate 9 and created 4 survey questions. Once learners respond to the survey (via access on Prime), how do I see the survey results the Prime platform captures? This is not the L1 or L3 elements pre-built in Prime I am asking about.
We have not started using the certification features of Prime yet, but we are trying to imagine how they might be used. Ideally, this is how we would use Prime to manage our recurring certification programs:1. We want to initially certify someone today, using a course of instruction set up in Prime.2. Now that the person is certified I want Prime to remind me in 2 years that the certification is about to expire and to recertify, the learner must complete a different course than the course we used for the initial certification. This basically means that when I assign someone to a recurring certification program they don't have to take the course associated with that certification immediately but will be reminded by the LMS in 2 years that they must now complete the course to maintain their certification. Is this possible in Prime?
What is the official difference between completion criteria and success criteria in the context of the module library within Prime?
Question about the CSV method of uploading and maintaining our database of learners.I understand that I can have any number of columns in my CSV file so long as I include the mandatory columns. If there is a limit, please let me know.If I set up my CSV file with columns titled "Group1", "Group2", and "Group3" and identify each user as a "member" or "non-member" in each column then Prime will automatically set up profiles with the name of each column. Again, if that isn't how it works, please let me know. What happens later if I edit the CSV file and move someone from Group3 to Group1 by editing the member/non-member value in the appropriate columns for that learner? Will Prime automatically update the profile? (I am guessing it will.) If so, and I've used that profile to assign learners to a user group within Prime, will those user groups be automatically update with the change?
hi,Would you advise following errors?1) It is unavailable to contain quiz module into new course.2) It is unavailable to chose courses that I published in certification tab.3) How can I get demo in Japan or via tele conference?4) Cannot reply on this discussion board. No response from reply button.Sincerely,Masaki SAKASHITA
