I had to do a clean install of my OS on my iMac pro a few days ago and ever since I am no longer able to upload directly to vimeo from the Media Encoder. A feature I used multiple times a day without issues before. The only error that shows on the Error Log is: Vimeo - Could not obtain upload ticketI first contacted the people over at vimeo who told me to sign out and sign back in, he also told me that he "re-established your connection to Media Encoder on our side" whatever that meant. The issue remained and according to them, it's on Adobe's side now, since there's nothing more they or I can do.Any help will be appreciated.
I have a project which I've been working on for years. It's 1 hour 42 minutes, 1920x1080, 29.97 FPS, and pretty complex, with a lot of nested sequences, After Effects includes (just some pretty basic animated diagrams), titles, etc.Up until about 8 days ago all was well. I would edit, export, and watch on my TV. I last did this just around 8 day ago, no problem. But now, as I'm trying to make the FINAL render after some last tweaks, it's completely failing. The video still edits fine in PP, plays fine, no problem. But when I export, the exported video is just black -- audio is OK, but video is black. ALMOST every time. I am using PP 23.4.0 on Windows 10. Computer is a laptop, but pretty beefy, 64GB RAM, Nvidia 2070. I have tried:CUDA, OpenCL, and software renderers in project settings.CUDA, OpenCL, and software renderers in Media EncoderDirect export from Premiere (not using Media Encoder)Shutting down and restarting PP / MERebooting compute
It's 2023. Can we please get more social media presets for export than simply Facebook, Twitter (now X, that needs to be changed), YouTube, and Vimeo? How about Instagram? Tik Tok? Etc?
I want to set the start time of all my videos sent to media encoder so it crops the first second off. So start at 1s.Is this possible as a preset setting rather than manually clipping the timeline of each video? Thanks so much. M
Hi, I found some posts on this issue but no clear answers. I want to use Media Encoder to compress my Cinema RAW lite footage from 4k Raw 12-bit to 10-bit. But when I choose ProRes, which I understand is a 10-bit codec, the options I am given are 8bpc and 16bpc. And "Render at maximum depth". I don't want to add unnecessary file size by choosing 16bpc or "Render at maximum depth". Thank you!
Media Encoder was only exporting completely black video from premiere. The Audio was still in it. Updated everything so dont ask. The only way I got it to work was to browse for the sequence inside of media encoders self browser and lauch the export from there. Every other way possible didn't work. Support is useless and so is this program so hopefully this helps someone running into the same problem as me taking two hours to find out how to simply get this program to work even though youre paying for it.

So just recently I tried to export a bulk of videos through Media Encoder from Premiere Pro and it's exporting black screens but the audio remains. Never had problem in the past doing this and my drivers are all up to date, I don't know if this is about M.E.(23.6) newest version because exporting them trhough Premiere Pro itself is fine but it's just time consuming trying to export them one by one.
Hi, I am trying to export multiple videos from one time line. When I click start queue in media encoder it will process the files but overwrites the file instead of incrementing the file name with _1 _2 _3 and so on. In the prefrences>General output "Increment output file name is checked". Any ideas what could be causing this? Using AME version 23.5 Thanks!
Ran into a series of bad exports when trying to use Frame.io and sending Export nobs from Premiere to Media Encoder. Video was black, despite using presets where "video" was clearly enabled. Audio was normal. Turned out it would happen each time I sent exports to the Media Encoder queue from Premiere. Only disabling the "Import sequences natively" option in the Settings fixed this. Both Premiere and ME are v23.6. Using an M1 Ultra Studio with 64GB of RAM, 20 core CPU and 48 core GPU, 2TB internal storage. Exporting to internal drive. Initially used Frame.io and "upload sequence" to send to ME, later just used regular Export to ME command in Export window (same results).
I'm trying to trim a video into sections in AME and it would be helpful to have frame by frame control when setting the in and out points, rather that just dragging the marker. Does anyone know if there's a command for step frame in AME? Thanks!
Hello everyone. I'm having a problem on saving files in mp4 in photoshop. States always the same: An error ocurred on Adobe Media Encoder. I've tried:- unistall and install the program;- make the file from scratch and with a different name;- saving the file to different locations;- used the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool;- try to simplify the animation; Nothing changes or happens. Yesterday it was working smooth and properly but not today and this feature is needed for my everyday work. Version of Photoshop 2023: V. 24.7Version of Media Encoder 2023: 23.6 (Build 62) Thanks for any help.
Hi! Trying to create proxies for 4K footage from Canon C70, using the method of right-clicking my files in Premiere, choosing Create Proxies, and then Quicktime/Low Res ProRes (I'm on a Mac). Footage is from a 2-camera shoot; all of the files on one camera have proxied just fine except ONE file; all files from the other camera keep failing, with the below error log. I'm using the 2021 Premiere/Media Encoder version, I am resistant to constant updates and also won't be surprised if the answer here is just... to update. still! Any insight helpful! Footage is too big to edit without proxies on my current setup. Here's my error message log copy pasted exactly:- Source File: /Volumes/Saturn 1/230819 ASTEROID BELT/STAGE RIGHT/CanonA003/CONTENTS/CLIPS001/A003C003_230819EJ_CANON.MXF- Output File: /Volumes/Saturn 1/230819 ASTEROID BELT/98_Proxies/A003C003_230819EJ_CANON.mp4- Preset Used: Custom- Video: 4096x2160 (1.0), 23.976 fps, Progressive, Software Encoding, 00:40:13:00-

Hello, I have been using a Premiere pro, and media encoder, with sometimes updating the version, for more than four years. I didn't have encountered this kinds of problem and I need some help. I usually video-edit the lecture videos and give the projects to the media encoder. I copy the introduction part of the video and paste it to the next new project, which is next lecture. But since a few weeks ago, videos which are encoded after the first one, came out with all black only with sounds. my output setting is H.264 1920x1080, progressive, nvidia codec, CBR 0.73Mbps. It does not give any problem when rendering is done in Premiere itself,. but the problem occurs only if I use the media encoder, and it occurs with 2nd video. I tried uninstall-installing of the Premiere and Media encoder but doesn't worked. Please give me a help.
Hi all, I'm working in AE on Mac and I export a video for a client. AME automatically takes me to ProjectName_AME's folder and then I have to navigate through the many folders in there to export in the right one. And then I have to do that each time I send a video to AME. Is there a way for AME to automatically export into the most recently used folder? So if I nagivate to that AME folder once (or another folder in Finder), the subsequent exports (which won't be in the queue until later) from that particular .AEP file would automatically navigate to the most recently used folder e.g. ProjectName01. Thanks!
When I export an AE file to the Adobe Encoder it produces a bizzare artifact, like a mirrored rim of the video (see picture below). Tried all kinds of different export settings, nothing works. Never had such a problem before with previous versions of the Encoder. Any hints, suggestions? Thanks! Juergen
is there a way to get media encoder to duplicate an export with a bunch of different presets applied? I have to export the same thing in 5 ways and each time I have to manually duplicate and select each preset. I know this seems like a total waste of time trying to automate something that takes me 30 seconds, but computers are supposed to do the grunt work, goddammit! (and ADHD 🤪)
Hey guys, I've been searching for answers online and haven't had any luck on how to successfully compress a large video (around 3 GB) using media encoder. I feel like that's something it should be able to do, right? I want to either send my video from Premier Pro to media encoder to compress it or just import footage to compress, I really don't need my videos to be super high quality and will just be used on a phone for educational purposes. I am shooting at 1080p. Exporting is just so terribly long with any sort of color/graphic edits to the videos and it's horrible. Is there a simple way I can just import a file to compress, or send from Premier Pro, to reduce file size by over 50% or just as much as possible? Thank you in advance.
We are moving to CUDA SDK v11.8 for Beta. This change is affecting AE/AME/Pr. The minimum Nvidia driver requirement to run CUDA acceleration has been lifted to 522.25. Expect to see System Compatibility Report to report issue if your driver is below the requirement. Please update Nvidia driver for your machine and your team's testing machines to avoid potential disruptions.
Hi, 1) When sending multiple renders from Ae to Media Encoder, is there any way to set the default "source range" ( the equivalent of the "time span" when rendering in Ae) in Media Encoder to "Entire Composition" rather than "Work Area". This is doing my head in, as I keep sending files to Media Encoder only to have them render out the last work area I was using of my comp, instead of the whole timeline. It's a pain to not only keep forgetting to change the work area after making an animation change in Ae, but in Media Encoder you can't even select the whole render queue and change them all at once as a shortcut. 2) When I make a change to a comp in Ae and send to media encoder, some files (a significant number to stress me out when working close to dealines) aren't rendering the changes I've made in Ae. I find the only way to counter this is to delete the "temp" .aep files in the "_AME" folder that Media Encoder creates, AND even then, sometimes that is not enough, so I
On Windows 10, Windows 11, Mac OS 13.2 Whenever you select a composition in the file browser in AME it still brings up the window to re-select the composition from the encompassing project. However when you make any selection (correct or incorrect) the window vanishes before you can hit okay it loads the correct composition anyway. Here is the order of events-User opens AME-Selects Ae project from file browser-AME file browser shows enclosed compositions within the project-User selects a composition from the file browser-New window pops up inviting the user to select any composition from inside the Ae project-user clicks on ANY of the options-window disappears before user can click 'okay'-composition originally selected in the AME file browser is loaded to the queue
I made the update from 23.2 to 23.6 and scrolling through settings is insanely slow now. It's not lagging or any sort of performance issue, it's just super slow to scroll through the settings. I just want to change settings fast and not train my scrolling finger 😄 Please change it back to the original scrolling speed.
