Hello everyone, I have a question about a GIF animation I made. It contains two pieces of text. I set the first text to 0% transparency at the end before the second text appears. However, in the GIF, the first text remains visible even when the second text shows up.When I save the animation as, for example, an MP4 or as JPG files, this issue doesn’t occur.I’ve double-checked that the first text is indeed set to 0% transparency, so that shouldn’t be the problem. Does anyone know how I could fix this?In the attachments I uploaded an image of the text.
Bonjour After Effect est devenu une veritable usine à Gaz, comme Photoshop en son temps, Pourriez vous envisager de faire un After effect simplifié pour les usages de base comme vous aviez fait avec lightroom pour photoshop?
I was watching the following tutorial:After Effects Tutorial: Retro TItle Intro in After Effects At 2:20 he increases the Tracking Amount causing the text to stretch both ways. When I do it, it only stretches to the right side:Tracking amount unilateralWhy is that?
I was editing in Premiere then for some Motion Graphics work, took the file to After Effects. I tried simple text animation with masking over the speaker's profile. The timeline when in playback is glitching, showing clips from different point of the video. This is a new PC and my configurations as follows: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600T GPU: Nvidia 3060 12 GBRAM: 32 GB Appreciate the help!Edit: Attaching the glitching video recording for reference.
I made a snow fall clip in AE and exported it to quicktime with alpha. When I test this clip in premiere and put a color matte under the snow, I see dark edges around the "snowballs". I can remove this dark edge if I use the blending mode "lighten" in premiere, but how can I fix the export in AE so I don't need to change blending mode in premiere? I tried exporting it with straight alpha instead of pre multiplied, it doesn't help. I tried using media encoder instead of direct export, it also doesn't help (and ME doesn't offer the option straight alpha or pre multiplied). What is the solution?
I am editing a short film, and for the opening title I wanted to something akin to the first Alien movie, where the letters each fade in individually, out of order.I managed to get it close enough to how I want it (I wish the timing of the letters' entrance were more spaced out, but that I can accept, as I am on a deadline). The main problem I'm up against is that each letter fades from 0% opacity to 100% opcaity (which is what I want), but at the last second, they snap to full opacity, as if they are skipping the last two or three degrees of transition.Anyone have any idea what I've done wrong? I've included screenshots of the beginning and end of the animation on my timeline, and also included the render itself so you guys can see what's happening visually.
So.... I wasn't paying attention to a comps settings and did a whole bunch of animation in a comp thats 27.97 fps as opposed to a 24 fps. When I set it back to 24 fps the keys all end up on half key frames and its a bit of a mess. Is there anyway to select the lot and have them all pop to the nearest frame? I had a quick google around and found asu_NudgeKeyFrames_selectedlayersonly.jsxbut I'm guessing it could be old as doenst seem to be working with the latest version of ae. Any help would be greatfully appriciated, thanks
Hi everyone, I have a rendering problem with After Effects regarding the GPU, does anyone know how to disable the processor's integrated GPU and use the dedicated GPU, I also tried to disable the integrated CPU from the BIOS but nothing continues to use that and I also tried to change settings on AE, if someone can help me, (if anyone can help me I would be very grateful even with using anydesk)
If I create a solid layer for a background, then decide I don't like the color I chose, is there a way to change the color without deleting the layer and adding a new one?
Sometimes with complex/large projects we have a desire to clean up stuff that has been floating around from testing phases. Typically the best way to clean everything up is to reduce the project based on selected comps. What often becomes an issue is that we can't do this if we want to maintain our global folder structure because it deletes any folder that doesn't have contents. Would be nice to have an option to perserve folders and then clean up the ones you actually don't need manually. Another big hurdle with reduce project is that expression that reference comps that aren't used anywhere in the selection for reduction get deleted so they break. At the minimum I would expect a warning (prior to reducing), but even better would be to simply preserve them by default. So: - Option to keep all folders - Default: Preserve comps that are referenced via expressions
For months, perhaps years, I've been having issues with retaining the same colors in the project on the exports. I've attached an example and really need a fix. I visited Adobe's youtube channels and followed their guides (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqz7WGK2pCo) and it doesn't help. I've attached screenshots for reference.
There is a bug in the Paint Brush in 2025 AE version: Paint on transparent doesn't work when applied on layer that has alpha channel. It just doesn't show anything painted. When the layer has not and alpha channel it works.

Is there a way to preview all the effects that come with After Effects? I know you can preview some in Bridge, but those are just the Animation Presets. Is there a way to preview the other effects like those under "Distort," like "CC Bender", "CC Blobbylize" or "CC Page Turn"? There has to be a way to preview each effect to see what it does, instead of just dragging each one manually onto an object and previewing it. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Hi all,New on here, was wondering if your expert eyes could tell me how this Hoka video was created? Would like to try something similar for my brand. looks to me like the logo itself has been created separatelyhttps://www.instagram.com/reel/DITOonXtwqi/?igsh=MThxZnJpODVscnZleA%3D%3D ? Thanks in advance 🙂

I'm using Adobe After Effects 16.1.3 (Build 5).I tried to change the settings in "Composition Settings", but nothing.
It’s 2025. I open After Effects and… it feels like I’m still working in 2013.While Blender, Unreal Engine, Houdini, and even newer tools like Cavalry are evolving with bold updates, After Effects has barely moved. Every time a new version drops, it’s disappointing to see tiny improvements disguised as “major features.” It’s as if Adobe is keeping the program on life support without actually developing it.Let’s call it out:Graph Editor – still outdated, clunky, and untouched for over a decade. No real-time preview, no modular behavior, no intelligent UI. No modern easing tools – no built-in bounce, elastic, inertia, or overshoot. You still need to rely on Expression tricks or 3rd-party scripts for basic animation finesse. No native effectors or procedural animation tools – while tools like Cavalry, Cinema 4D, and Notch offer real-time procedural workflows and effectors, After Effects is stuck in manual keyframes and precomp hell. Still no native IK (inverse kinematics) –
AE / ME Version: 25.3 (Issue occured before and after the update to 25.3)Mac OS Version: 15.5 (24F74)Hi, while AE/ME are stable and not crashing, the render time in ME has been extremely sluggish and at times non-responsive. The strangest part is that upon opening both programs fresh and sending a 00:15 second 4k / 1:1 render to ME, the render will usully take less than a minute, often a few seconds. However, after sending the same render to ME with a minor change (editing the type) the render jumps to 30 minutes+. My workflow is in complete disarray. This has been incrementally getting worse for months now. My only fix so far is to restart both programs. The restarts occasionally returns ME render speeds back to their glorious, lighting-fast selves, but any subsequent ME renders are slow again - as if dipped in molasses. Please help! I cannot carry on like this!Thank youBS
Hey everyone...I'm reasonably competent with text animators, but I can't quite seem to nail what I'm looking for today, and it seems like it should be easy.I am trying to animate a few words, scaling up from zero letter by letter (with overlap), with a bit of overshoot on the scale before settling down into their final size.I've tried to do this by stacking animators. The first animator simply sets the scale to zero, the second animator scales them to about 133%, then the third animator, offset by a few frames, scales them back down to 100%. The problem with this approach is that percentages are relative to what has come before. When the first animator sets the scale to zero percent, the subsequent animators never refer back to the original size, they just work off type that is set to 0% scale and are unable to grow it beyond that. If I do a simple zero-to-133% animator (without an animator that sets the initial scale to zero), then follow that with a second animator that scales them b
Hoje me deparei com a seguinte situação.
Over the last month or 2 , my AE has just started Crashing all the time, and I dont know why... and its wasting so much of my time.Everytime I do something over 30 seconds, and a little complex now, I have to go through and pre-render everything, or else it'll render for some time, crash and lose all the progress. Is there btw a away to save video files when Render crashess???? - this is unbelievably frustrating. Intel Core I9 13900HX 2.20GHZ64GB DDR5 Sodim RAMNVidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU
I want to designing this pattern and want to make it breathing like the gif belowwhat do you think the best way to achieve this??? thanks so much
