After Effects

Hello,As you can see in the picture bellow there are little squares on the side of the bounding box and not on the top and the bottom. I want to adjust the height of all these keyframes together and i cant. Does someone know why?

Every time I close a second project panel, it resizes the size panels rather than the main locked project panel where I'm viewing the main comp. This causes me to have to drag and resize the size panels. Does anyone know how to force the side panels to stay the same size and the main comp project panel to expand and fit the space? Thanks much! 

For some reason, every time I select a shape object, the entire composition is selected, instead just the shape. It also doesn't "auto select" each layer like it normally would. I have another composition open and it selects the shape objects just fine. I'm not sure if I accidentally changed something or not. Even when I select "Composition - Retain Layer Sizes", it doesn't work. The first image is the issue. The second image is what I want.

I had an animation that ran smoothly but I must have made an unintended change because when I went back to play it, a portion of it no longer was visible. I clicked into the composition causing issues and noticed that only one layer [atom core-02] was visible when I clicked play despite having no issues before. Does anyone know what I mgiht have done or how to try and fix this? 

I am getting this error message while rendering the video in a particular point only, everything goes smooth and suddenly the error appears and says restart AE or your Pc and this is not helping me.I am already late to submit my work to my client please help. asap

I have a threadipper machine with 128Gb of fast memory and over 1Tb M.2 fast disc cache.Graphics drivers are up-to-date and so is AE.It's driving me mad that whenever AE starts to cache to memory (green line) my mouse and system pause on and off, stopping me working. It's new and very annoying. Adobe Help!

In After Effects, when trying to select the output module or save location of a composition in the renderlist, the program freezes. When instead starting the render in Media Encoder, I get an error report and ME crashes. I have tried almost everything you can think of to troubleshoot this: -Hardware acceleration off-Cache emptied-Safe mode-Preferences and Plugins reset-Opened AE as admin-Software-rendering activated-AE/ME reinstalled & different version-Used GPU changed from dedicated to internal-Automatic destinations deleted Interestingly, this problem does not occur when using the beta version of After Effects. AE version: 25.1 (also tested 24.1)OS: Windows 11 ProRAM: 16GBGPU: NVIDIA T500CPU: 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7

Hello! I'm trying to achieve this 3D border/edge effect with a kind of 'light sweep' without using plugins or extensions. However, most resources I find online suggest using Layer Style > Stroke, which seems quite limited for this effect. Any ideas on how to achieve this look? thanks!

I have prepared a graphic with layers in adobe illustrator and want to load it into after effect. Unfortunately when I import the graphic by selecting "new composition from footage" the graphic loses a lot of quality. I import the layers but they lose terribly - it looks like a very, very pixelised graphic. I reainstall all app, cleaned memory and still doesnt work. Do you have an idea? 

Whenever i apply the lumetri color effects this happens...I've never had this problem before and I've been using AE for more than 2 years now, any solutions ?

I was editing, but when I went to go save the project somehow s_shake went missing but its in the files of After Effects but not showing up in After Effects itself, I tried unintall it and then reinstall, I still have the same issue.

Hey all, first off, is anyone else experiencing this issue, and, second, can anyone reproduce it if they haven't tried exporting PNGs yet? Ever since updating to Ae 22.1.1, I can't export single PNGs or PNG sequences anymore. If I revert back to 22.0.1, everything works fine again. Update to 22.1.1 and it breaks. Revert to 22.0.1 and it works. I can do this multiple times on four different machines and it breaks/works every. single. time.Since I can reproduce this issue, repeatedly on multiple machines, I can only assume that 22.1.1 has a PNG bug that needs to be addressed. If anyone else can confirm (or tell me the fix besides reverting back and waiting for the next version) I would appreciate it. I've attached the three errors that pop up, in order, and all of them pop up on all four machines, on any Ae project file, that we try to export PNGs from.Thanks!

After effects crashes when it does not find a dropbox file, maybe beacuse it has not been made available offline. 2 weeks ago After effects woul let me know that there was missing footage, now it directly crashes and I have to force quitting the app. I have tried everything: reset default setting, cleaning cache, duplicating the files, and the problem continues. No information anywhere and it seem to be an after effects problem. Anyone there to help?

Hello! I’d say that I’m extremely inexperienced in After Effects, but I’ve been playing around a lot with .mogrt creation and expressions and I’ve run into a problem that has stumped me at every turn. I’m trying to create a .mogrt file that contains:2 separate text boxes (both left justified, stacked one on top of the other) with different fonts and font sizes.1 autoscaling shape (box) that holds both text boxes.1 image pinned to the bottom right corner of the autoscaling shape. Here are the current problems I can’t seem to figure out:I am unable to get the image to move horizontally with the autoscaling box (it moves vertically just fine).I am unable to get the two text boxes to stay stacked when both are empty; furthermore, the bottom box cuts into the top one when there is text in them.The autoscaling shape does not recognize the second text box when changing size. In basic terms, I can’t figure out how to keep the two text boxes in their own spaces and have the

Dear people,There's a question and I hope someone got the awnser.There's a illustration project with more than one layer, so we made a precompose. We want to change the opacity of this precompose for a nice fade-out BUT when we do this, one of the layers is visible through the other ones. We thought it should be allright since it's a precompose so all the layers should fade out at the same timing? I mean there are many project where you don't want something like this to happen.I do understand that changing the opacity of elements even though it is a precompose means that all the elements get clearer and you see through them. BUT how can you change the opacity of more then one layers without being able to see some layers through the other ones?

As you can see there are many dots in the path. But two big dots which provide handles. Which I can drag to adjust the path. These dots are invisible. How can I made it visible? Even made it 15 pixels does not help.       Title edited by Mod.

Hi everyone! I'm kind of a self-learner in AE and I know I'm missing some basic points. After some researchs I couldn't find an answer to this (sorry, maybe I don't have the right keywords, I'm a french speaker) but I'm sure there's a way. Here's the thing: -On a plate layer, I have a mask that I tracked upon main layer.-But after applying this tracking to the mask path, I'd like to adjust the mask position (on all the keypoints at once) without re-doing the tracking. So what I'd think first is to add a Null Object which would contain the position adjustment, then link the MASK PATH only (not the whole plate layer) as child to the Null Object.-Of course, as shown on the screenshot, the expression is not correct, but I couldn't find precisely how to adapt the expression to the situation. Would you have a remedy for this? (Sorry my AE is in French too!)Thanks in advance. 

Hello all! I'm working on a long-form, 25-minute video and would like the opinion of the community experts on the best way to send everything to After Effects.For context, here is a quick glimpse of my workflow: 1.- I set everything up for the video like the host talking to the camera, images, and a lot of Broll. 2.- Then after all the footage, especially the broll, is approved, I move to the next stage which is animations. 3.- After that I render a lossless .mov to have everything back to premiere for the final stage: SFX.  I need to move everything on Ae: every broll piece, placeholder, and such because I add text animators, video infographics, and such to almost every clip. I even add transitions there because I'm already doing animations. I'm curious about the Adobe recommended way to do it: -Should I just select everything and shoot it right to Ae without thinking too much about it? Hi All,I'm trying to remove a tower from a drone shot of a model house. I used the regular content-aware fill to remove the tower from the scene for a majority of the clip, but for trickier areas I need to use the 'create reference frame' option. Everytime I click the icon to create the frame, I get this "Can't Import as a Sequence" error. I can't seem to locate a solution in the program or on the web. Can anyone help?Thanks so much!

I see this question has been asked several times but there isn't an answer that solves my situation. I have a factal noise filter in my file that I need to last an hour. The effect only lasts about 4-5 minutes before it stops and freezes the fractal noise pattern for the remainder of the video. I have included a screenshot of my fractal noise settings. Thanks for any direction.
