Why has Adobe after all these years not implemeted a text to path feature in After Effects. I have to jump through hoops everytime trying to remeber how this is done. The point is, its useed often and not brought in at any stage of updates. Ive been using AE for about 15 years, and we were doing text along a path then, why did AE go through iterations of CS1 - CS6, then on to creative cloud and never add in the feature. Its lazy. Its simple code that should be in the usr interface as a button. one clecik. I do not understand how people can be in fulltime employent and be so incompetent. Everybody in the creative community would say yes we need and use this feature. So why is it not there?

Rotobrush 3.0: i can only modifiy the first frame

Hello, im new to AE. I try to use rotobrush but When i pause on the second frame im not able to modify my rotobrush like on the first one and it doesnt change if i hit the button "freeze". Does anyone has an idea why i can't? everything look the same in the second frame except that the outline doesn't change. Im really stuck

Buenos días, Llevo un par de dias intentando exportar un proyecto pero no me deja, al llegar a cierto punto me aparece ''Memory allocation of 2,1GB exceeds internal limits. Decrease the memory requirements for the rendering of this frame. (12802). He probado de borrar el disk caché, buscado los errores tipicos de after, si algun efecto excedia los limites de la RAM o alguna cosa, pero todo está bien. El video es un carrusel donde muestro diferentes colores de un producto, el carrusel es de 9 productos y tengo que hacer 2, lo raro es que en el primer carrusel no he tenido ningún problema en renderizar y en el segundo me aparece el problema. ¡Gracias!

We need Rosetta or plugin support for existing plugins

This is ridiculous that i've now saved my projects in the new Adobe After Effects and can't use my plugins. There should have been clear warnings before updating that Rosetta will be gone. Adobe, bring it back. It is a crucial component to using your software and I can't think of anything more important that's missing. It's truly usability breaking

After Effects freezes on "Initializing Required Components" when launching.However, if I open it immediately after starting the PC, it launches fine and works for 1–2 minutes. Keyframe Velocity window - Continuous: Add direction for lockingOpen for Voting

Hi there,in the Keyframe Velocity window there is the "Continuous (Lock Outgoing to Incomimg)" checkbox, which when clicked, copies the incoming speed of a keyframe to the outgoing speed, and locks them together.Every time i need to ease into a continuous motion, I find myself manually copying the outgoing speed to the ingoing before locking them. This can happen multiple times per work session.It would save me a lot of time to have a choice of locking direction - Incoming to Outgoing or vice versa.Thanks for reading!

2 bugs and a feature request with After Effects 25.2 (running a script/text animators/glow effect)Released

The first bug is the simplest to describe/report. As of 25.2, when I create a text layer and then select some text and right-click, I am no longer able to add a text animator (the option is greyed out/not selectable). --The second bug is that running a script through Kbar disables the option to use keyboard shortcuts to select another layer (ctrl+up/down) unless I select the composition panel again. This is also new as of 25.2. I have a script that copies any markers on a selected layer to the composition timeline. It used to be the case that I could click the Kbar button to run the script, press ctrl+up to select a different layer, and then press the Kbar button again without having to reselect the composition panel.--The feature request is related to the Glow effect. It used to be that the glow radius and intensity were simple values (presumable pixel values?). Now they are percentages which for some reason makes stacking multiple instances of glow far less intuitive and mo

The meaning for Mask in Cambridge dictionary is FACE COVER. That means it hides. But in Ae mask means everything is hiden outside the masking region. That means inverse meaning in Ae. What is the reason for that?

In latest AE 25.2.2  is strange bug - When you use intensivelly layer markers and zoom into the timeline, then mysterious, non existing markers pops up. When you continue to zoom into timeline  (using mouse wheel and alt), they dissapear, but appear again when you move and zoom in and out over the timeline. Video with recorded buggy behavior attached.. And also the whole timeline picture to prove that markers does not exist in real..I did not observe this in 25.2It is just happening in 25.2.2

I know it's super silly nitpicking, but has anyone noticed what reads on the dialogue when importing Jpegs? It says PNG Sequence, Illustrator/PDF/EPS Sequence & so on for the others, but for some reason reads "ImporterJpeg Sequence" when comes to Jpegs only. I always thought it was a bug, perhaps related to the French interface, but never changed for ages. Does anyone know the reason/story behind it? Cheers

Linking Source Text with an expression should also respect the "paragraphness" of the textOpen for Voting

Consider this:I have 3 text layers, two of which are linked to the "master" layer (via a simple "thisComp.layer("master").text.sourceText" expression).I then change the text on the master layer to be Paragraph Text and tweak the dimensions of  the bounding box. The other text layers do not update to reflect this. I suggest they should do.Or is there a way, using text attributes in an expression, to copy the paragraph layout?

After Effects won't render a 3d model with shadows enabled on Studio M1 Ultra

I'm trying the new After Effects 3d model import workflow on my Studio M1 Ultra and when I import a 12mb .glb model it all works fine. However, when I include environment light with cast shadows enabled and create a shadow catcher, the shadow appears for the first frame but then the render is stuck and doesn't render any of the remaining composition. Fast scrubbing along the timeline sometomes renders a frame or two but I switch to Draft 3d mode to be able to render the composition and the shadow is completely gone. Finally, when I want to do a final render of the whole composition, the rendering process takes forever and the progress bar (both in AE and MEdia Encoder) doesn't move at all, even after 30min trying to render a composition that is 30s long. When I deisable shadows completely the rendering works as expected. I know that the Studio Ultra M1 is no super computer but I I was al least expecting to be able to render shadows on the lowest setting. Export comps without frame numberOpen for Voting

I would like the option to remove frame numbers from exports. When I export a single frame PNG I can use the 'Output To:' function but it doesn't give me the option to remove the five digit frame number. I'm aware of 'Snapshot' 'Save Frame As' and plugins like Gifgun and AEJuice export GIF but I am exporting 200+ comps at a time and need to use the render queue and automation processes. Using a bulk renaming program would work but adds another, unwanted step to the process. Thanks

Animated Patterns

Hi All,Im a bit of a novvice in certain areas of after effects, I work for a small agency so enevitabley end up creating everything for a brand. I have recently seen this animation https://ashfall.studio/work/fifth-row, and other changing pattern animations. this one in particular caught my eye and and wondered if anyone had a good resource on learning to create such a dynamic looping pattern.It could be expressions controlling line widths and lengths in a very clever way but I would love some kind of tutorial on this. Im not sure where to start. Removing burnt-in zebras from footage

Hi, I have a serious problem with a live concert footage (see attached) where one of the monitors recorded zebras from my GH5 camera settings, which means that a lot of the highlights are showing up with zebras. I've tried multiple ways of erasing them but it seems a lot more tricky than I thought, and unless I want to spend days editing every frame on photoshop, I'm wondering if anyone has a clue of what the easiest process would be... I've tried some bluring, wire removal, and others, but nothing really works and it's a very painful process so far... Obviously deleting zebrasfrom the main light spots is easier because i can sort of replace the lights, but it gets much harder when it comes to the small zebras on the skin or on the instruments... And because the light changes a lot, any rotoscoping other tracking is difficult because zebras will show up anywhere on the screen from one frame to the next...Anyway, any help appreciated ! It would save me a lot of time !

RPF image files causes AE to crashReleased

Issue:16-bit RPF image files causes AE to crash.No error message shows up and no crash log is generated in: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\<version>\logsAE only crashes when importing 16-bit RPF. Importing 8-bit RPF works. Other image settings have no impact.All versions of AE from 24.6.5 to latest are affected.Importing the images in version 24.6.4 works.Can't attach sample files because the forum doesn't support RPF. But the images were generated using Cinema 4D by selecting RPF in "Render Settings > Save > Format" and setting "Depth" to either "8 Bit/Channel" or "16 Bit/Channel". Version numbers:From 24.6.5 to 25.2.0 Operating system:Windows 11 Pro 23H2 Steps to reproduce:1. Open AE.2. Import a 16-bit RPF image file.3. Add the image to a new composition.
