After Effects

Hi,I'm new to after effects so I need a little troubleshooting help. I am trying to create a magnifying glass type effect over some type. I've followed some online tutorials and have added an adjustment layer using magnify and bulge effects and have them tracking the magnifying glass movement all good so far. The issue is the magnify effect seems to be duplicating the text and enlarging to over the top of the original text (double vision see attached image). Any ideas why this might be happening? Thanks. 

Hello Everyone,I was wondering if there were a way to export individual compositions that I have made within a project to be reused in others as a template. I remember having done this in the past by selecting a composition, going to file -> Dependencies -> Collect files, but now, even when I choose "for selected comp" it collects media from the entire project. For my specific case, I made a looping animation of a squiggly line in its own composition that I would like to reuse in other projects. Is there any way to export this composition individually from the project as a whole to be reused later on? Thank you in advance!  

Two layers appear on top of each other in my render. Also on the display while scrolling, I need to fix and move manually each layer to be sure they do not overlap, but when I zoom out the display sometimes athe error appears again, the weird thing is that the render does it too. any idea on how can I solve it? 

Hello everyone, how can I pre-compose for several layers to get an individual pre-composition for each layer?I have many layers so don't want to do it manually...

Hello everyone After Effects is crashing without giving much information. The only thing I can notice is that when the plugins are loading at the opening window, it would stay forever in AE Juice pack Manager 4. The only option they give me is to send a report to Adobe, which they never respond. I would appreciate any help on this matter since I need to finish some projects and this problem is taking too long to solve. 

Looking for a solution to having the text scale via another expression that is driving a slider control.When using this in the layers Source Text, the layer will no longer display the text from txt variable, and the size will revert to the default set on the text object. When setting the .setFontSize() where the variable scaler is not driven by an expression, everything works as it should. hi folks, im using AE since CS6, i pretty much grow up with adobe and im there when AE , PR , Ai got this so called 'Home Screen' . helpful, but recently, my AE from the moment i launch the App, until Home Screen displayed properly, getting longer and longer to the point i bored.please Fix. Adobe getting Crazy with internet connection these days, IF i went offline then restart my PC, this problem is fixed. why? idk ,i hope adobe do something, cause Davinci Resolve Project Page never did this to me, butter smooth. always

Trying to write an expression that automatically pushes a shape/text a set amount of space away from another shape or text by the bounding box. It only has to work in the X axis. That way what ever i do with the previous shape (scale, Mask path, etc) the bounding box will automatically push the layers to the right without having to adjust. Any help would be appreciated 

Hello alll.The new properties panel is causing crashes, but much more importantly, I want complete control over mu own workspace.It is currently auto-opening whwnever I select a tool.Please can a preference be added to turn off this behaviour?And in the meantime, if anyone knows a hack to do it myself, I would appreciate it. I think it is conflicting with complex expressions and third party script panels and basically is not yet a replacement for simply pressing UU.I am sure it will be a great development when it is stable. tagtagtag

Hello,  I am relearning After FX after many years and have been tasked with recreating the attached text animation. Basically the words both grow and dissolve on at the same time. I have found presets that come close, but still not exact. Does anyone know if this is something I can find in a preset or do I have to build it from scratch. How i can use arabic font in after effect ?

Since the most recent update, I'm not able to import multiple After Effects files at one time, and I have to use the File-->Adobe Dynamic Link function to import anything, which REALLY slows down the process.

I'm looking for shortcut keys to trim and extend a layer. I'm using a short Mac keyboard (no square bracket keys). I can use the⌥( and ⌥ )  to type an open or closed square bracket, but it doesn't work as a shortcut in After Effects since the short cut is ⌥[ and ⌥]

Hi! I just bought a new mac book pro with 18gb ram since I started a course in After Effects and I needed it to be strong enough for future work and for this specific reasons. It keeps crashing, I have googled and looked into drífferent settings I should change and what not. It is literally driving me crazy now since I can't do anything for more than 1 hour before crash again and I am forced to close the program. I need help with this and then I also need help with other things that I don't seem to manage in the editing. So if there is a kind soul out there that would help a girl out I would be so thankful for the support. Hope to hear from someone haha! 🙂

Hey!I have a text with CC Cylinder applied and I wanted it to spin very fast and long. I keyframed that animation. But after about 90 full rotations the animation just stops. But the value still changes. Do you have any explanation for this?

I was following this tutorial here and he animates a shape by using the bezier handles.I don't seem to have the option to curve the position path. Could someone tell me what I'm missing? I included a Screenshot of my project where I would like to round out the path. I know I could use the graph editor but I'm mostly just confused that I've never had these other handles. Thank you!

Hi there,I have a 3D Camera Tracked scene that is very good, but not perfect.  I did advanced analysis and created a solid to place on the floor (which I added a grid to for reference).  It's very close (the grid looks perfect), but the text that I add and move up "off" of the ground has a very, very subtle jitter.  If it just drifted, that would be ok, but the jitter bothers me. Is it possible to simply use something like a keyframe smoother to just remove those micro changes and positioning?Thanks,-Stephen

Hi everyone,I'm importing my Illustrator files into After Effects and converting my layers to shapes to animate them. However, every time I do this, I get an unwanted outline around the layers, which seems to correspond to the Illustrator artboard. I’ve already tried importing them as "Composition - Retain Layer Sizes" to avoid this, but the outline still shows up after conversion.In the "Contents" section of each converted layer in After Effects, there's no visible layer that represents this artboard border, so I'm not sure where it's coming from.Any ideas on how to fix this and get clean vector shapes without the artboard outline?Thanks in advance!

 Hello everyone, i have a brand new MSI Cyborg geared with a fresh I7 Ultra 155h supported by 32 RAM gb, 2tb ssd and a Nvidia RTX 4060 8gb. Unfortunately i can't enjoy After Effects because it runs out of memory despite i have use the best GPU settings, and in 15 years it's the first time i face this kind of error. How can i fix it? Please help (error messages attached)   

Hello AE friends. I have a question - I made a mask animation inside a composition. BUT, when I scale down the composition, my animation appears trimmed. WHY? Is there any way to fix it? Thanks
