After Effects

Im trying to render a PNG-sequence using bodymovin and, even though, except for the PNG-sequence, there are no files in the project, its giving me the error: Render failed! Composition should not include any videos. Any idea what might be wrong? I dont see how that error is making sense.

how to resolve this? my after effects dont open anymore

I'm making an after animation template that I always use in videos at the premiere (e.g. headline, cta) I've already done the animation and put in all the settings that I want to be editable, but I'm not finding the spacing option between text lines. Does anyone know how to set this option?

I have been working at this for a good amount of hours across a couple days now and it appears that nobody has had the same question so I decided it's time to ask for some help. I'm new to After Effects (but I use Photoshop and Illustrator so I understand most of the non-specifically video things) and for this project I have a stop motion video I made from some pictures I took driving past a mountain. I cut out the sky in all of them and cropped it to a square so it's basically just the sillhouettes of the mountain rolling in and then out of the frame. (I attached the mp4 with no background if thats confusing)  The issue that I haven't been able to solve is finding a way to have the text match the contours of the mountain each frame. I've tried a lot of options in the menu but it appears that no matter what I can't make the path mask for the text animated: like when keyframes are added and I move the anchor points it affects the path for ALL the keyframes. Animation Composer 3 can import mogrt. files in the most advanced form, but it is too restrictive.I used to import using Motion Factory, but it doesn't work properly with Windows 2025.Is there a free plug-in program where I can check and import the mogrt. or aep file by previewing it?

I recently purchased the Creative Cloud All Apps 100GB plan as a student. When I tried to download any programme from the Creative Cloud, the following notification (screenshot) appeared. I installed all available updates from Windows Update Centre, but nothing helped. Likewise, I checked the drivers - all brand new.

Every time I launch AE, I get a warning of plugins that are not compatible with my version of After Effects. I've searched and removed every single instance of AEJuice on my computer, but it's still mentioned in the pop-up when AE launches. Is there a way to purge AEJuice from my system or get AE to ignore it? I'm concerned it my be causing issues as AE has started to crash when opening certain project files.  

Please help me out. Whenever I try to use roto brush it crashes on the first stroke and I am very frustrated please do help me out. tried everything even the safe mode but the issue persists

Hi, I'm unable to collect the project files.Anytime I launch the option nothing happens and it stays like that.

I have a mov file with a transparent background downloaded from the Internet (shown in photo number 1Its size is only 54 MB. But when I export the same file again in MOV format, its final size is already 373 MB.The only difference between them you can see in the picture (I marked them in red)How can I export it with the same quality and the same original size of  54 MB

Hi,   I'm making battle maps where layer shapes move across the map into bigger or smaller shapes using vertice paths, as the frontline progresses. I've been asked if it was possible to include a dynamic measure of the shape area in square kilometers/miles. So that I can show exact changes in square kilometers based on the shape/frontline changes. I just couldn't get ChatGPT to help me put this together, and I am far from able to do something like this on my own.   Is this something that is at all possible to do using expressions and then linking it to any text layer to show such values?   I've attached a sample. So the shape is the red area, which hence changes it's shape through time.   I would also be willing to pay someone to help me set this up. Hello Everyone,I was wondering if there were a way to make presets for the 3D camera in After Effects that adapt to the layers current position. For example, I planned on making presets for different camera movements I often make in AE for my video essays. However, when saving the keyframes as animation presets, I realized that when applying the preset to another layer, the preset saves the position value of the key frames from the original layer. But I don't want to the exact positioning to be maintainined, I just want themovement of the 3D camera itself to be saved, i.e. there is a universal preset to move the camera to the right 1000 pixels without repositioning it to the same starting point every time. I'm wondering if there is a way to separate the movement the animation is conducting from having to take place at the exact position every time. Thank you all in advance!

Hiis it just me or is the edit in original feature no longer working in the latest Ae 2025 update?  command E on a photoshop layer used to open the doc in photoshop but since the update it does nothing.even if you dig down in the menu to find edit in original it does nothing - I have converted and saved both old files with the new apps but still no joy.

Hello!A couple times I saw little brighter colored button on different scripts UI, how to do this type of button?On the screen below is the button "OK"I'm sure it is not just drawn graphic element, it looks and work 100% like regular button, just white.

I believe it is Ram Preivew (the little red line) stops moving when pressing play whenever I click on premiere pro. I have to  "Clean Database & Cache" each time I go back into After Effects if I want to see the Ram Preivew. Why? I have provided a video as an example. Let me know if more information is needed. 

I'm experiencing an issue with my render output in After Effects 2025. When I render in QuickTime with RGB+Alpha, I'm getting glitchy results. However, when I render in H.264, the output looks good. I've tried using Media Encoder and the beta version, but I’m still facing the same problem. I'm really desperate for a solution—can you help me? 

Hello!I just updated my After Effects to version 25.00.I'm creating a logo that has a tagline which orbits around the logo. I got that tagline to orbit just fine. The logo and the tagline were created by typing text in After Effects.My problem is the orbitting tagline is blurry, and I can't make it sharp like the logo.I tried adding a sharpening effect, and that looked horrible. One tutorial on YouTube suggested to pressing the star symbol next to the item in the timeline. That didn't work, and it changed the radius of the orbit too. Please help! I don't know what to do. Thank you!Kelly

Hello again, today i have a question about working with Set Matte (or similar effects like CC Composite) inside a 3D Environment. I find it very peculiar, that effects like cc composite have no option to use the selected layer like it is projected inside of the viewport. In 2D this is not a big problem, but when i for example want to build a complex matte for something inside of my 3D Environment, there is no way for me to do so, except by copy-pasting and pre-comping a bunch of layers or other silly solutions.I made a quick example to show my problem, before i explain further:3D circle:Wrong Matte:Correct Matte: I understand why this happens, but i wish there was a feature to make Set Matte's output equivalent to the Track Matte feature, because i want to track matte multiple layers at one. So heres my question:What is the best (most render efficient and cleanest) way to achieve the intended behavior for more than one layer (for example imagine a complex (3D) scene with
