After Effects

How do i install the sapphire effect? I downloaded it already, but how do i install it and activate it.

HeyMaybe this issue is very simple but I made a scene in element 3D only and created a camera. everything is working perfekt but i would love to add more elements in my scene like fire or smake. becouse the scene isnt tracked with 3D tracker my elements just floating and when i try to creat a null same thing happend to the null object.  Thank you for any help you can offer.

hi, i run ae2024 on a windows 10, intel i5 256gb storage + 8gb ram laptop (lenovo L13 yoga gen 2, almost three years old), and usually it launches fine, but today it's launching with two control bars (see image attached) and whevever i click something it starts to not respond. i've tried launching in safe mode, i've launched with no other apps open (i usually keep discord open to talk to my friends), and it's just not responding. i have my media cache on a 2tb (D:) drive, set to 100gb, and my allocated ram is 6gb for ae and 1.5gb for other apps. does anybody have the slightest clue why it's not launching?

I've started a new thread here for the issue in 2024 but if you look back this issue arose in 2020, 2021, 2022. It is probably the most catastrophic bug you can run into and I'm stunned that something this significant can still happen. After hours of work today I could not get my file to save no matter what I tried. I tried save, save as, save incremental. Nothing. I tried exporting to old formats, no good. I tried collecting files, nothing. I tried saving to different folders, tried saving to different names, saving to desktop, nothing. Tried checking auto-save -- nope, just the original file.  I tried exporting to XML, nothing.  I cleared cache, tried to trash preferences, still couldn't save.   I would have tried a workaround some folks suggested of sending the comp to media encoder and then finding the temp project in the media encoder folder, except I couldn't get anything to export to media encoder either. Hi,I am currently working on an After Effects project, which I was hired to do by a movie streaming website called https://letmewatchthiss.com/. During the editing process, I encountered a rather unusual problem that I haven't been able to solve.The issue arises when I try to use the motion tracking feature. After applying the tracking data to an object, it works for a few frames, but then suddenly the object either disappears or drifts away from the target area. I have tried precomposing the layers and adjusting the keyframes, but the problem persists.Has anyone else faced this issue or has an idea of what could be causing it? I'd appreciate any tips or solutions that could help me resolve this. I'm using After Effects 2024, fully updated on a Windows 11 system with sufficient GPU and RAM.Thanks in advance for your assistance!

So I tried to open cinema 4d from after effects but this problem occurred.how do I solve this?Is there anyone who can help me. I searched for a solution to this and couldn't find one.this happened after the after effect update 

Hey, I used the content aware fill tool to remove an object from my After Effects composition. I set a mask over the object and generated a fill layer. The object was covered pretty good, but I had some problems with video quality in the mask. As you can see in the screenshot, the mask's resolution is lower than the video's resolution and the mask is blurred. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Hello Folks!  I am running into some very frustrating color shifts in my exports from AFX- and have no idea what could be causing them. The imported image looks perfect in the AFX viewport but when it comes to exporting it the colors become way darker and way more contrasted in general.  The original image was exported as an 8 bit channel png. The buffer type is HDR (float 32-bit) and the color space is sRGB. There is an image below: When I bring the image into AFX it looks exactly as it should in the AFX viewport - see below:  however the problem comes in when I try to export the image from AFX. I get this completely different image which is way darker and more contrasted and looks nothing like my original. I have included images below of all my afx settings upon export- hopefully someone with more color space experience will spot something that I am missing. All and any help is greatly appreciated!!

Hi, I need some help creating something very close to this fire/light trail from Kung Fu Panda. In particular the look of the wispy firey trail and secondly the 2 trails twisting/wrapping around each other.I know my way around the basics of Trapcode Particular, and how to create particles following a path, but I have not used it to produce anything that looks like this, more just magical/fairy dust style.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello community! How is it possible for a so importand button not appearing in keyboard shortcut editor to asign a shortcut? It is very unproductive every time you need to fix tracking point to go back and forth with mouse (specialy if you work in big monitor). Strange error ... layers showing that should not be.I have a cartoon mascot coming from right side raster, in the screenshot you can just start to see him coming on screen, but in my timeline the layers' in points are much later ...How / why is this happening? Been using AE for 20 years, never seen this.Yes, I checked all my layers, no weird time echo things going on.Is this an MXF format vs. time remapping error? Even my in points are cut?

Hello,I am trying to use a 3D Modell of a glass bottle with a label on it in After Effects.I found out that Translucencs doesn't work in After Effects. So I wanted to work with Color, Roughness, Metallic and Opacity. I added the Label as an Image in the Material Section. But the only way to get a transparent bottle in After Effects was with lower Opacity. Unfortunatly it also changes the Opacity of the Image. The Opacity of the Image stays at 1, but as I change the Opacity of the Material (glass) it still affects the Images.This is the bottle in Full Opacity which isn't transparent in After Effects:This is the bottle with Opacity 0.5 which would be transparent in After Effects, but also makes the Images (Label) transparent.Unfortunatly I can't upload the OBJ, GLB or GLTF File...Do you have any Solutions for the transparency in After Effects?Like how I could keep the Image in full Opacity and only reduce the Opacity of the glass Material?

Hello, so im currently using adobe after effects 2020 and i am making an edit, i used twixtor pro on one of my clips and then pre composed it, after i copied it and reversed it by right clicking, going on time then "Time-Reverse Layer" now inbetween the clip its flashing dark blue time to time, does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi, I want the hand to move/wiggle only between 0/360 to 180. I dnt want it to cross 180. How will I write expression in such case using wiggle.(I had to reduce the screento gif export color option only to 12, otherwise file size is too big to upload, Adobe dsnt allow me to upload gif , thts why the gif is acting weird. am sorry :I ) Thank you.  

The Turbulent Displace is one of my favorite effects. But my problem with that effect is how it behaves on shape layers in 3D comps withh null-parented cameras. I'm told I should pre-comp the shape layer that has the Turbulent Displace effect applied. But if I do that, what happens in the null-parented camera 3D comp scene is that the precomped shape layer now loses resolution and becomes quite pixelated as I dolly into the shape. The only way to avoid this is to turn on the rasterization button " * " for that layer. But this then changes the layer's shape:  I'd like to be able to zoom in / dolly in on the shape layer without it losing resolution. But if I do that through the rasterization button, not only does this alter the layer's actual shape but doing so causes the Turbulent Displace effect to shake/wobble independently:https://youtu.be/0r9v6S_j1qg https://youtu.be/uVZ-r7I_E2g      Does anyone know of any plugin alternative to AE's

In After Effects, the default when pasting an effect from one layer to another is to replace the existing instance of the effect with the settings of the new one.However I'm trying to paste an additional instance without replacing the existing instance of the effect.In my case, I'm trying to copy an Instance of Video Copilot's Element effect ("Element A") onto a layer that already has an instance ("Element B"). The result is to replace Element B with Element A, but I'd like to have both Element A AND Element B on the layer. Anyone know how to get around this?Thank you!

I am trying to put Flow in After Effects and I need my CEP folder but It's not there. I'm not sure how to create my own & if it'll work when trying to follow the directions to download or install Flow. Here were the directions they gave me : 1. Copy Folder ' flow-v1.4.2 ' Paste:Win : C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\Mac : /Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions2.Merge Key via Add Keys P.S: I am using Mac 2022. Again, the problem is I can't find my CEP folder. Please help. Thanks in advance!
