After Effects

Hi everyone!I'm experiencing a strange issue while working on a 2D motion in After Effects. It feels like there's an invisible 3D axis where, as objects move closer to the center of the screen, they seem to recede in depth (as you can see in the files attached). This affects the stroke of my lines, making them thinner as they approach the center of the screen and thicker as they move away. Has anyone else encountered something like this or knows if this could be due to an effect or expression that might be causing it? I'm trying to keep the stroke thickness uniform.Any help would be much appreciated!

Hello there,When I import exr file into After, and apply EXtractoR, with some exr it does not show correctly the channels, mixing another channel into another.If I read the exr with MRV2, it shows correctly.Anybody have a clue to solve this bug?

Hello. Could someone kindly point me to a tutorial on YouTube, or any other platform, where I can learn how to create this intro from the video in the link below? The intro is between 34 and 56 seconds. I have the artwork in Photoshop, all separated into layers. Therefore, I want to recreate this intro in After Effects, but I haven't found any tutorial with the same principles. Is there a way to add a second output module for a render queue item with extendscript?  

I need an older version of After Effect on OSX 10.15.7, the 2022 release. It's really frustrating that Adobe can't make older versions of the programs available, I don't understand this limitation. Does anyone have any ideas?

I want to cancel my subscription to After Effects CC but there is no option to cancel the plan.the only solution offered on the website as to contact customer support on this forum ( I couldn't access any other contact options)

Hello 🙂 I am struggling to export my After Effects video. I need it to export with a transparent background. When I go to save Alpha+RGB is grey and I am unable to choose this as an option. Does anyone know why and how I can fix this? Thank you :).

Ich möchte in Photoshop eine kleine Animation basteln und habe dafür eine Videosequenz die mit Greenscreen aufgenommen wurde. Wie entferne ich nun in Photoshop den Greenscreen-Effekt? Wenn ich mit After Effects oder Premiere diesen Greenscreen entferne (Effekt --> Keylight, dann mit der pipette den Hintergrund auswählen) und den Clip exportiere (Quicktime, RGB mit Alphakanal), diesen dann wieder in Photoshop importiere habe ich nur eine weiße Fläche.Was mache ich falsch?

When using aereneder to render sequences log file omitts random data from log file. The following task in Adobe After Effects:A text of unknown length is read into a text layer with an integrated text frame and should not exceed the maximum width of e.g. 1000 px (this value is read from a shape layer).As the text in the text layer with text frame is already wrapped, the question is how to technically implement the text to be reduced in size in order to stay within the intended maximum dimension of the shape layer.The text should be reduced as required using the font size in increments of 50px and should not exceed the length of 3 lines of text. If the text is cut off at the end, that would be bearable.In addition, the text should be a maximum of 300 px and not smaller than 100 px.I know how to script to scale text and make it the size of the shape layer, using the font size or scaling the text layer, but that does not completely solve the task presented here.Behind the text there is a shape layer as a support surface, which has already been solved using an expression.

I am applying Wave Warp and Turbulent Displace to a shape layer that is larger than the comp, but there are still gaps showing up around the edges. Is there an easy fix that I am missing? Thanks! 

Hi,Wondering if anyone could help me with what seems like a simple problem but I can't seem to get it right. I'm using flowcharts quite a bit, like in the screenshot, and want these dashed lines to seamlessly move to convey a continuous influence of one thing on another. The line animates in with trim paths and then I'm using offset with loopout to keep it moving thereafter. But I can't seem to figure out what the key frames should be. The loops are not going from start to finish but gradually the start point of successive loops seems to edge its way around which gives a staggered look with an increasingly larger initial portion of the stroke not moving. Any pointers would be much appreciated,ThanksFrank

Hello everyone, i have a dual monitor setup and the video preview activated trough mercury transmit, but my second monitor is 2560x1440 and when i preview the HD (1920x1080) timeline it scales the preview to the monitor resolution which pixelates the whole thing...Is there any workaround?Thanks in advance.

I'm working on an AE file that's been in progress for over a year and have had no issues until the last few weeks. Recently when I start the playback it's VERY slow and really distorts the audio, even when it has been fully rendered. What would be causing this all of the sudden?

Hi,I am learning puppet rigging from a tutorial. Though the tutorial is from AE cc 18 but the application is same. I dnt understand why am getting this error msg every time am changing puppet engine from advanced in to legacy!  The tutor says I must use legacy, not Advanced. Please help me. I am seeing stars and birds around my head. 😥   

Hi all, I cannot seem to be able to snap the anchor point of a solid layer using the Pan Behind tool once I have changed my Solid to a 3D layer. It snaps quite happily in 2D, but once I get into 3D space I can move it but not snap it. Has anyone got any ideas of what I might be doing wrong/what settings I need to alter? Many Thanks in advance

Hilfe. Es ist, meiner meinung nach, ein großer bug seit dem letzten update in bezug auf das null objekt in verbindung bzw. mit einer verknüpften kamera entstanden. Das Null Objekt sitzt fest in der Bühnenmitte und  man hat keine kontrolle mehr über das NUll die Kamera zu steuern.  

When editing on AE, usually when you click on the preview, the video that you put in will have a rectangle around it, (check photos because it's hard to explain). In one edit, this outline is showing, but in another it's not. I want it to show in both though, how can I bring it back?   

Hey, everyone! I've ran into this problem before, but could not remember what I searched to find the answer. I still cannot find the solution so I'm posting in here. I don't know why all these "spikes" are on my speed graph. It actually won't let me adjust the speed between the two keyframes I have set either. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have imported a shape from illustrator and converted it to a shape in AE, then animated a trim path, but the path is not animating properly, it skips ! Attached is my timeline and the aniamtion.

I am trying to create a starburst using the scale property. Keyframe at beginning at 100% > keyframe at end - 200%.But I can't figure out how to have it expand evenly in all directions - which it would do if the anchor point were in the center of the circular starburst ( at least I think that's the problem?) Is there a way that I can fix the anchor point in the center so that the star / starburst doesn't also seem to "wander off" sideways as it grows. Many thanks for the help!AE CS5.5

I have an audio clip as a layer in my project. Let's say its named "20240904-2210.xxx".I am trying to build a text expression that will take the 2024 and the 09 and the 04, and rewrite it to be: 2024-09-04.In JavaScript, I can just built a variable & then break it up with substr.But AE is saying substr is not valid.How can I break up the audio layer name into separate strings, such as strYear, strMonth, strDay?At the end, I can just do something like:  result = strYear + "-" + strMonth + "-" + strDayI know this must be super simple, but for some reason, I cannot figure it out.   😕😕
