After Effects

Hello everybody, an issue has arised In my After Effects 2022 right now. For some reason none of the controls for any effects or plugins is appearing; it's just shown as blank. I've restarted my computer, quit after effects, and try to make a new project but none of it is working. Does anybody know how to fix this?   

 Suddenly, this week, my After Effects became super slow. I checked the project files, and they seem fine on other computers. I noticed that aerendercore is using 120-200% of my CPU. This issue started out of nowhere, and it's urgent because I use AE for work. Has anyone else experienced this or found a solution?

Computer: iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017) with OS SierraGraphics Radeon Pro 580 8192 MBRAM: 8 GB 2400 MHz DDR4Processor: 3.8 GHz Intel Core i5 I have been character animating in the most recent version of After Effects. I assigned multiple layers to a parent layer. I added 3 pins to child layer shape. Before animating the pins, I repositioned the parent layer and its contents out of frame so it could slide in and set my key frames accordingly. When I played back my animation, an outline of the shape I had pinned appeared in front of that layer, not on any of the other layers in front or behind. The outline did not follow the shape – it was fixed in place and was only visible when the shape moved behind it, causing it to stand out from the background. This "phantom" outline is in the same position the shape was in when I originally placed the pins. I installed after effects v24.6.2 yesterday. I imported a video file, while I click import it started lagging and got crashed. Before that I used 23 version it woked completely perfect. So its not my system problem. Windows and GPU drivers are up to date. Not only that video, I downloaded another video from envato elements and imported it. I got the same problem. I opened my previous version's workfiles, it worked good but slight lag. When I supposed to import the file, the same crash happened.  I changed my preference, RAM total-32GB. For after effects 26GB.Cache file memory expaned to 100GBcleared all cache files and also temp files in my PC.I changed preview to faster in both and adaptive resolution to interactivity.Turned on and off GPU accelerated settings.Reinstalled many times.Used beta version same crash happened. Somebody help me on this. Bonjour à tous, J'étais en train de travailler sur première pro avec AE ouvert en dynamic link pour quelques images détourrées au roto pinceau, quand la prévisualisation de PPRO a planté. Je l'ai donc redemarré, mais AE n'a pas aimé et a planté également dans la foulée. Depuis impossible de l'ouvrir à nouveau sans avoir ce message d'erreur et d'autres qui suivent me disant qu'AE va être fermé. le message d'erreur suivant m'indique que les outils externes du roto pinceau ne sont pas installés et que je dois les réinstaller. J'ai donc désinstallé AE et quand j'ai voulu le réinstaller, impossible. Cela n'arrêtait pas de planter avant la fin. J'ai fini par éteindre le pc un moment, puis le relancer, et là ça a fonctionné, sauf que l'erreur du roto pinceau est toujours là !! Je ne peux plus travailler sur mes projets et c'est vraiment très embettant !!!Aidez-moi svp ! Merci d'avance

My 4k material i downloaded on line isnt visibile when imported into after effects it shows just a black screen on the composition. 1080p works fine... if the same material works 1080 that means this should be an easy fix but I cant get it to work by purging and the strangest thing..... the eye for visibility is not clickable... like its an audio file? but the video opens in VLC movie player  

after effects 2022 maxing out memory and my cpu usage peaked at 96% only whilst caching a project file thats pretty much empty. i tried after effects 2020 and the memory spiked there aswell. ive had after effects for over 2 years and this has never happened to me before. 

Hello!I have been trying to open a few older projects, and when I do I keep getting the same dialogue box : After Effects Warning: Illegal Command SequenceI have to hit OK over 50+ times (the box just keeps popping back up), and once it finally goes away, the project just closes. I am unable to access the project in any way.Does anyone have any advise on how I can get these projects to open?I have had success opening these projects on a coworkers computer, which leads me to believe there is something wrong with my after effects program. I have also uninstalled and re-installed after effects. I am running the latest CC version.Thank you!

Updated to 23.0 and my project will no longer render with the C4D renderer. Extrusing and rotating text. The Add-on is showing it's installed though.   After Effects (23.0) Windows 10 Enterprise 21H2

Hello and good day! I am new to Element 3D and it is my 2nd day trying to use it. Though I came across a problem yesterday. I am trying to make a 3D model out of a transparent emoji PNG using Element 3D. I have auto-traced the PNG, added a black solid on top, and then added Element. My auto-traced PNG: Here is what I did in Element 3D: Then I opened Scene Setup. Everything else was working fine until I extrude > extrusion model > bevel > texture - diffuse. Instead of showing my image / PNG in the diffuse tab, it only showed the same plain black view. Here: What it looks like (which looks normal): Diffuse:Diffuse showing empty preview: See, nothing has happened. Even when I chose Custom Layer 1 (PNG name). It still shows a black image under diffuse tab, and nothing has happened to my model! Hi, I few days ago I started to have problems with AE because it didn't open, it only send me and Error Window and them told me to send the information to adobe. I thought that it was because I didn't update to AE 2022, so I update the program, and now when I try to open AE it shows me 2 error, first said "After Effects Error: Error in progress. La previsualización (que siemrpe activo con la barra espaciadora) está totalmete congelada, no avanza, sólo funciona durante algunos fotogramas cuando reinicio el programa o el pc, pero vuelve a estancarse.Ya he reinstaldo la app dos veces, hasta instalé la versión anterior a ver si funcionaba (24.6.1), y sigue! no puedo avanzar en el proyecto que estoy trabajando. En esta laptop ya he terminado varios proyectos con éxito pero esta vez no tengo idea qué pueda pasar. Ya vacié el chaché varias veces, reinicié, reinstalé el programa, pero nada. Estoy bastante frustrado y no sé cómo souliconarlo. Alguna idea? a alguien le ha pasado? saludos. 

Hello, Ive been using magic bullet looks plugin for years but all of a sudden it started crashing when i click Edit.. I can still use my presets but I cant configure them.I tried reinstalling After Effects ( tried different versions), reinstalled magic bullet looks several times, updated nvidia drivers,cleared cache... I'm running a .jsx script that creates a bunch of comps and footage automatically.I'm able to run the .jsx and it does what it does just fine. The .jsx creates a couple of comps and brings to the front one of two comps. I'm able to do some after action steps on one of the created comps "Camera01_3d" upto and including a execute menu command block "Trim Comp to Work Area". This is all great!`Where I'm having an issue is opening the second comp in the forefront of After Effects to run the execute menu command block on the second comp.How can I "open" the (second) ReCamera01_3d comp to run the menu command? I tried the select project items block, and select layer(s) block and neither of these brings the comp to the front.As always, any input is appreciated! 

The tracking software I use (Syntheyes) exports out .jsx files and creates scenes inside AE. It's great! With Automation Blocks, I'd love to run the script and do a bunch of repetitive tasks after it's imported and clean up the scene. Is there a way to launch a specific .jsx script from an animation block?

When I launch After Effects 24.6.2. (Build 2), Untitled Project page opens automatically with the main page and the "New project" selection doesn't work. When I close the Untitled Project tab it quits After Effects completely. When I launch again same thing happens. I did try uninstalling and installing again but that didn't solve the issue.I did try the safe start but that didn't solve the issue. This problem started suddenly, I didn't change or did anything to cause this problem. My hardware specs are: Mac Studio / M1 Max / Sequoia 15.0 

Hello all, What I've triedI've been working on a fairly heavy After Effects comp for a while.  I've got a video coming up that will use a bunch of animated graphs throughout, so I wanted to set up a comp that took CSV data and spat out an animated graph.  In hindsight, is AE the wrong tool?  Should I have used something else?  I don't know but anyhow: I've finally got a working comp that does everything I need.  Secretly I'm a little bit proud of it.  I can load a CSV file directly into AE, tie it into the data paths for the graph, tweak some controls and then it animated the data paths to the correct positions based on the CSV values.  It's heavy going, there's around 20 layers and over half of them are showing 100-200ms to evaluate when I use the snail icon. However...It won't render correctly. Which as you can imagine, is a fairly big spanner in the works.  I don't know why it won't render either.  The graph and the pa

Hi all,Am new to After Effects but have tried the below tutorial to create a wiggle effect for my artwork.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0JesMPdeIk&t=2s At first the adjustment layer was at the top of all other layers but I have decided it looks strange applied to the carrots so have rearranged so that it is sitting above the text layer only. The problem is now that my carrot illustrations still have the wiggle effect applied and I am not sure why. They don't animate anymore but still are wobbly from effect?   

I have a project with a lower third and a book mockup with some keyframed opacity and some shadows, which I've used multiple times. I've never had any issues with this setup until I recently changed the comp background colour to make it easier to see what I was working on. I'm under the impression that this background colour should not be visible in the final render, but any part of the lower third that has partial opacity (not 0 or 100%) will be changed to the background colour, still with opacity applied. So a grey/black shadow or fade will appear green if the background colour is set to green, and as an asset fades up, it will go from darker to brighter. This colour change is not visible in the composition window but is visible in Quicktime and when imported into Premiere Pro or After Effects.I've tried exporting from both After Effects 22.6.5 and 24.1.0The Render settings I have tried are:Field render: Off/Upper FieldAll other settings are default for "Best settings"The O

Hi thereThis is a general question about the code autofill (auto-closing brackets) When I go back to an equation that I am writing in an expression and want to add in brackets Made-up example:Original code  5+5*2   = 15New code desired result (5+5)*2 = 20 When I type the left bracket (, it automatically closes ()So in the case of the above I would get ()5+5*2 when trying to adjust and then have to delete or cut and paste a bracket.Is there some shortcut instruction that allows me to say highlight the section and "put it in brackets"or do I just need to decide if I turn off the autobrackets feature altogether etc. If there is no shortcut I'd probably turn it off automatically but if there is I'd rather do the more efficient way if there is one I don't know of.

I have updated both AE and C4D but the C4D importer in not working.  I have tried manually placing in the plug ins folder in AE but no go.Has anyone been able to fix this problem on  PC...? Cheers!
