After Effects

Hello. Im trying to turn on the 3D mode for some layers in the composition and After Effects crashes every time I do that. Ive tried:- to do it simultaneously for all the layers - crash- do one by one - crash- create a new project (thought maybe a project issue) - crash- clean cache and memory - crashLaptop characteristics: 16GB RAM, RTX3060ti, 476GB SSD. I think it is enough for such a simple animation.

Hello!I am trying to create the reveal logo effect - I use auto trace to trace the logo and then apply the generate stroke effect and it works perfectly. However the logo turns out white and in the original image it has two colors. How can I keep the colours using this method. Can I keep the colours of the original image when I use auto tracing or can I fill them somehow?Thanks!

I'm building some After Dffects projects on both Mac and Win machines.  It seems that after closing and re-opening the Windows project (might've been a crash, can't recall) I can an alert that the "Color Control" effect was missing. I am using it in this project. Seems a bit baffling since this is built into AE. Before anyone suggests re-installing AE (which is not the solution I'm looking for) I would love if someone (perhaps someone from Adobe!) could explain this and how I can get this back.

Hey thereI'm working on a project supplied by another designer and it's using CC Cylinder, I'm getting constant crashes, A bit of background he had tiled it by using about 20 layers, to work around this I just rendered out one and brought that back into the project, but now even trying to render one is causing crashing 

AE 2024 crashes when saving project I have tried below mentioned things..1- Update After Effect2- Re Installed AE3- Update GPU driverPlz suggest any other sulution. 

Can anyone make a tutorial on how to make this lyrics effect on the fretboard part of the guitar?

Hello,I'm new to after effects but I have looked on so many sites and videos but there is no answer to my question. Please help!I'm currently working in After Effects, I have imported an illustrator file (all divided clearly into layers). Each layer in the Ai file has a vector path of a clover with a stroke of 5 - it is not a closed shape/path. I have brought the layers into my composition in After Effects successfully and now I would like to convert the shapes from my vector layers so that I can animate the path. BUT:My trouble is that when I "right click > create > create shapes from vector layer" (with my vector layer selected in after effects), my vector path is automatically outlined so instead of a path, I get an outlined stroke (filled shape). See image below. It's holding me up from finishing this project and starting others.How can I have the path remain a path so that I can edit it as a path in after effects?

So I bought red giants suite to test it's vfx suite and all I have have encountered is bugs. Not sure is the reason AE or RG.So I've been keying a lot and now I used primatte keyer in RG suite but it seems that it is the reason why I have the bug tho, at some point of the edit I get black screen and this happens when exporting too, tried multiple codecs, colors spaces, bits and everything and it just keeps happening. I'm working on a work gig and this is frustrating. I'm going to  upload a quick test I made where the bug happens in render. I have a core matte on the face so don't get distracted by it, otherwise the screen would be black.

Hey, I have a extension what I want to add to my After Effect but I can't find the extension folder. Its not located in CEP folder. I tryed to search it but theres no where to find it.

OK so I see "save current preview" is in the Composition drop down list ... but greyed out?? Please explain!! Is this coming back? Are you teasing us Adobe?????

My After Effects v22.2 is always crashing after the second or third time I save a particular project, no matter really what the changes are. At first it showed me a dialog box with either of these (not exactly verbatim, copied from my Google searches):After Effects error: internal verification failure, bad numeric conversion: positive overflowerror getting size of handle (and an endless number in brackets) Now it simply freezes around 64% saving progress for a bit, leaves behind these weird filesand soon crashes without any dialog. So far I have tried: installing an older version of AE, resetting the preferences, wiping the most recently installed plugin, different saving locations, cleared & changed cache location, deleted the comp I was making changes in most recently, imported the project into an empty project. Interesting as well is that this problem does not occur with other project files, so it has to be something wrong with the project I guess. Another in

Its not the wobble problem. I'll place a shape layer in one position,using a key frame to mark it, and continue moving my shape layer and marking the movements with key frames. When I go back to review my animation, the key frames at the beginning will have shifted in position from where I originally had them. When I edit these key frames back to where they belong, other key frame values are affected for some reason. I end up in a constant cycle of re-editing key frames. I read somewhere that time remapping may cause this problem but i haven't been able to find that forum again. Hi all, I'm exporting a clip with ProRess 422 via MediaEncoder on all the default setting with the maximum depth and maximum quality boxes checked but the colours are still being distorted as you can see in the screenshots below. Please help! In after effects I just have an adjustment layer over everything with a lumetri colour effect, the values are also in a screenshot below.

Hello,Since today's after effects update, when I'm in my project in advanced 3D, it crashes my computer.All I have to do is open the project and after 10-15 minutes, my PC crashes. Hello. Today I received one of the oddest error messages I have ever seen. I received a message that 3 plugins failed to load. 1) Eporter AVI 2) Exporter Quicktime Host 3) Player Media Core Are these preinstalled plugins? I have never heard of these. I've recently had issues with infected work files and am curious if this has anything to do with infected files. So. If these plugins are legit. The question is. Why am I getting this error all of a sudden?See attachment. Thanks!

Hey Guys, my AE preview functions normally for a few times. then when I preview using spacebar it loses the audio, and for the preview after that it doesnt preview at all. Whenever I press spacebar now it switches to the hand tool for the duration that I'm holding it and lights up the frame redner time as green. when I double press it goes back one frame. I didnt double assign anything, using 0 on numberpad didnt work. Reinstalled, cleared all settings, caches etc. all didnt work. Tried changing thw audio hardware output settings as it worked for some people, but changing it either crashes after effects or doesnt work.The bug in this video is the same one I have. Hey Community, I'm having a composition with 2 Levels. One is a 3D shape with depth and on top is a .PNG for it's texture. When I animate this 3D composition, it gives me a lot of artefacts. Am I doing here something wrong or is this an issue from Adobe?  Thank you very much. 🙂
