hi guys, can I access "render time" per layer via scripting?You know, that little snail information.thanks

If I have a layer with 'Continually Rasterize' enabled then it seems to prevent Wiggle Rotation from working properly... it rotates as though the anchor point is miles off... instead of rotating from the centre. I am trying to add WR to a text layer, but cannot turn off CR as it is greyed out. Is there a way around this?

Hi Community. When exporting images from AE timeline, I have noticed there's 2 ways to do it. One with clicking on the take a snapshot with the camera Icon, and the other done> composition?Save frame as. Now do the PNG images when exported maintain their quality, or is there image degredation by exporting a still? Thank you.

I tried to open a photoshop file while it was open in after effects and this error pops up. I am unable to do anything in after effects at this point. I tried clicking the okay button, closed down photoshop and tried to close after effects (but i am unable to do anything with after effects). i cant close down the computer without this program shutting down but the error wont go away. Even restarting the computer didnt work.

Any idea how to fix this?  Whenever I try to go into scene setup in VCP, I get this error.  It will still open scene setup, but it slows down my system significantly while trying to load.  Using most recent vrsion of AE.

Hello 🙂Consolidate footage does NOT get rid of similar comps - isnt it supposed to do this?? 🙂Im on AE 2024 latest version. Strong PC.RegardsJonas

Explain...Part 1:I have to layers, Number 1 and Number 2. Suppose I put to the No1 the value 15 and to the No2 the value 5. Automatically i want to a new layer sum this numbers (20) like the photo.Part 2:Next, I would like to built a chart below take the prices automatically according to the numbers that I gave. Explain...From the above sum, i want the layer with the value 20 understands automatically that is the 100%. So to the chart the shapes changes automatically and understands that for the No1 with the value 15 is the 75% (15*100/20) and for the No2 with the value 5 is the 25% (5*100/20).Probably i need for the value of the mumbers a Solid with Numbers effect and not a text? I recently purchased Creative Cloud CS6. In previous boxed versions of Creative Suite there was a separate sticker with the Color Finesse serial number. Where do I find it with Creative Cloud CS6? I called Adobe, but the customer service rep couldn't seem to understand what I was asking and insisted that I needed to contact Synthetic Aperture. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello - I am trying to create a preset in After Effects to share with others, but when I create the preset I navigate to the location where it should be saved and nothing is there:Local Drive\Users\firstnamelastname\Documents\Adobe\After Effects 2022\User Presets I see other presets I've created in CC 2019 here:Local Drive\Users\firstnamelastname\Documents\Adobe\After Effects CC 2019\User Presets Did the location change? Or is it not possible to create .aom files anymore?Help!

So my After Effects has been acting weird lately. This happened today.I'm using a Windows PC with 2 monitors, and my AE opens in the main window by default.When I open up my After Effects, the top part of  the window glitches outI can't click on anything in the top area, including the tool bar and the preview buttons.  The way I'm working around this right now is,I click on the Windows tool bar on the bottom, smaller the window,and drag it to my secondary monitor.  My AE seems to only glitch when it's in full screen windowed mode in my main monitor,but I still want to know if there's any fix to this.I've tried reinstalling and to an earlier version.The glitch happens on versions 24.2.1 and 24.1 Thanks in advance!

I made a 30 secound video in after effect, and My compostion settings is :Width : 960Height : 2565Pixel Aspect Ratio : Square PixelsFrame Rate : 50and my render setting keeping changed to 960*2564. How could I change to 960*2565 ? Thanks all.

I have after effects 2021 on my mac Macbook Pro and have been using it with no problems for almost 3 years. Since yesterday, whenever I add more than a few videos/ pictures to my project and then try to move them using keyframes or dragging, it will lock up or show the rainbow spinning wheel even when in quarter resolution. I am unable to upgrade my after effects and I tried clearing my cache and deleting footage but nothing helps. Not sure what to do please help!

After the last update Mac After Effects no longer opens.I tried to check the permits of the folders suggested by the solutions I found on the net, but the permits are correct.I tried to restore preferences, but it doesn't open.I tried to start it in safe mode, but it does not open.I tried to uninstall the application and reinstall it without anything new.Whenever Apple updates the operating system puts after use after effects.MacBook Pro and Sonoma 14.3.1

I've just updated my AE and did my usual workflow of uploading PNGs to the comp and then dragging them in, but for some reason it now doesn't show the images anywhere on screen?? have I accidentally turned them off or am I missing something?  Looked back on some older Q&As to see if that could help first and have tried: went to 'Window' > 'Workspace' and set it to standard, reset, all panels etcchanged the names of the PNGs i would really really appreciate any help and hopefully i'm just being a little dumb and it's something obvious! thanks in advance for any help anyone can give!! Georgie :') ❤️ 

HiWhen i try to render my footage I get this error. Cannot unlock an unlocked list (27 ;; 4)I retried to render several times and every time the error occurs in different moments. i already restarted after effects several times and purged the cache folder.it keeps happening. Does anyone have an idea whats going on and how to solve it?

I'm trying to download After Effects CS6 on my mac but creative cloud only lets me download back to CC 2023. Is there any way to access older versions than just one year? I prefer the older layout of After Effects.

AE 24.1.0Trapcode 2024.1.0MacOS 14.3.1M1 Ultra, 64 GB We are trying to animate the speed of a fluid system. Go from regular speed and then ramp it down to slo motion. Using the Physics Time Factor in the Global Controls seems to be the trick but when I play it back the seems to skip after a few seconds. Anyone else seen this before?

Some assets in my CC Libray are missing. I can see it in other programs from Adobe, but not in after effects.

hi all I have a time remapping script that I have been using for literally years that has suddenly stopped working properly.  The issue I'm having is the values I set with the script are correct, they're just no longer being applied properly to the time remap keys. If I set a value and then check to see what the property value is, I get some very odd, close but not exact number, and in the UI the non-exact number is getting rounded, often to an incorrect frame.... so annoying!!! I've never had this problem before. It is like something has recently changed internally with the time calculations. Any suggestions on how I might resolve this or possible trouble shooting options would be greatly appreciated... ps. here is a snippet from the debug console showing the value i'm setting and then what Ae has actually set (or at least what it reports being the current time remap value) I generally use 25fps as it so much easier to work with frame durations of 0.04 se

I have created two sliders, one which will control the start point of a layer (if then statement looks at the time of the CTI and the slider time, in seconds) and if the CTI is greater than the slider time, then the opacity is set to 100) and the other to control the end point of the same layer (same thing as the start point, except it turns the opacity to 0).I would like to set it up so that if, say the end slider is set to 15 seconds, then the start slider either cannot move further than 15 or the start slider "pushes" the end slider higher up the scale. What happens now is that the start time can be set after the end time, which simply prevents the opacity from changing.I'm not sure if it's possible to limit the movement of a slider based on another slider's value, or move a slider based on another slider's value, but if it is, please let me know.Additionally, if there's another method instead of using two sliders, please feel free to share, but I'd rather keep with this, unless the
