After Effects

My pre-composed layers are deleting last frames of layer or changing their positions after i save and close the project. It happens mostly when i enable frame blending and fps of a clip are lower than fps in comp settings.

Hi everyone,I'm working on a project in Adobe After Effects that involves over 350+ basic 3D layers, each containing a 2D video in its own composition (this is the only thing that the 3d layer contains). The rendering process is taking an exceptionally long time (around 3+ hours, and we haven't finished rendering the whole video since the remaining time calculator keeps adjusting).I attempted to use TurboRender, but they were unable to render the file due to an unknown error. Unfortunately, their customer support hasn't provided a resolution yet.I would appreciate any advice or suggestions on how to manage or optimize this project. Here are the specs of my workstation:CPU: Ryzen 7 5700XRAM: 32GB of 3500MHzGPU: RTX 3050 6GBThanks in advance for your help!

Hello! I've got myself an issue, been a while since I've needed to use ae but needed it recently... ae alone has nearly been crashing my pc, bit confused.What happened? Had ae on version 24.3 originally.Ae sluggish... bit odd,  Checked in with task manager and my cache drives.Memory peaks at 29,000 + ... oddFigured I'd reconnect to my cache drive (ssd).Cleaned cache drives, moved them around, no change - No change. Updated to version 24.5 - No change.Memory leak or malware? - did a scan, nothing, started googling for results.Found advice, turned off auto cache frames.Unsure what else to do? - Specs below. Windows 10, IntelR CoreTM i7-800k CPU @ 3.70GHz, 6 coreInstalled memory, 32GB, x64 system.Bit frustrating, can't seem to find any other solutions :cthanks - Tex

My after effects wont take an anime episode which i downloaded from torrent it says the file may be damaged or corrupted and when i tried seeing if all mp4/avi were the problem i downloaded a video from youtube through y2mate then i was able to put it in after effects what is the issue can someone tell me and how to fix it? (the file is not corrupted i can play it from windows explorer) I have tried version 2023,22,21 of after effects and even media encoder the problem still persists

I may have corrupted my ae project through trying to run it on a different computer. This other computer is a work computer provided to employees by a company, and I know that it has a security feature installed on it which prevents it from being allowed to write to an external drive. I only realised this after I opened up my project on it and started working.  I was unable to save my project on that computer, and now I'm back on my normal computer and I'm getting an error message about being unable to open files every time I am on the after effects window. These are the two error messages that pop up every time (Portal is the name of my SSD):  I also tried looking for that file on my computer, however I'm running into an issue with finding it. I've tried searching in finder for "temporaryitems" and I come to the search result attached below when I select folders. None of these folders seem to have anything inside.  Please help if you have any ideas on how to f

I was having a 3d object in advance 3d and the exported movies , the background video run smoothly,but the path and the yellow object are not clear ,  and jiggling up and down. I had the yellow object was in 2d " png file"  (with classic 3d) , the exported movie , path and object was smooth. Any idea how to solve it? thx

I am currently working on a slideshow and have about 250 individual photos loaded in my assets bin.  As I use one I'm putting a colour code on it so I don't repeat any individual shots.  Every single time I save my project, all those colour codes are removed.  Can anyone tell me how to stop this? 

Olá, meu after e premiere começou a dar um problema como esse anexado que eu nunca havia passado.Simplesmente as divisoes de linhas pretas acontecendo como se fosse um field errado. Isso se resume ao formato .MOV. Em mp4 funciona normalmente. Já atualizei minha placa de vídeo, ja testei em versoes de after e premiere diferentes, já tenho o quicktime instalado. All elements turn black when adding a light to the scene. This is normal, in the past I just pulled the spotlight back on the Z and it expanded the area that was lit.  Now it seems, whether I move forward or back on the Z, the light shrinks and goes black in both directions. This seems like user error, but I was always able to move the light back in Z for the light to grow.  Has anyone had a similar problem?

I'm trying to archive a project, but when I go to "collect files", it says it will collect 656 files (that are 2.6 TB, apparently). The project only has 62 items in it. When I generate a report it is trying to collect all 57 clips in the camera "CLIPS001" directory (even though only 11 are in the project). Worse then that, it is trying to collect them all multiple times. Running the operation confirms that it is copying the clips multiple times (as well as creating whole folders out of scratch, emulating some camera card structure that is not what I have. I've attached a photo of that). The files were copied from the camera card (C300 Mk II), maintaining the directory hierarchy. If I move the clips out of that directory, the behavior is as expected.

Hi everyone, so this is a problem that's completely stopped my progress in an animation that I'm working on for my showreel. Basically, there's a room with a character in it and I need the animation to start from a very strong close-up of the character's leg, which is animated using the Puppet tool and end on a quick zoom out which would reveal the whole character.So naturally i zoom in with the camera and turn on continuous rasterize on the leg, so it doesn't loose quality. What I found odd and extremely troublesome is the fact that the puppet pins don't rescale accordingly to the camera zoom, so when it's zoomed in, the pins "disattach" from the leg, and stay in the same place on the screen, which obliterates the animation. An additional problem is caused by the continuous rasterize option, which when turned on, seems to be disabling the animation overall, immobilizing the leg. I'd like to ask you for any advice on that. Hello, fellowsMy name is Daniel and I edit VR videos and post production.Since I am not comfortable with AE, I edit VR video with Premiere Pro, and only use the After Effect if necessary. Recently, I happen to learn about VR Comp Editor in AE, and the experience so far has been great.Than I realized something today, that it makes the video blurry. Here are two samples of my work. (Exported frame from Premiere Pro)As you can see, the picture on the right has more detail on the leaves.While the one on the left is slightly blurred out.I have no idea why this is happening. Could it be that I have set 'Add 2D Edit' wrong?I mean, I once set 'Comp Width' to 4096, since all of my videos are 4096 x 2048, but it doesn't seemthat it works better than the other. Is it normal to lose some detail in video?

Hello to anyone reading, I made a big screw up and I'm wondering if there's a way to recover.I have a two and a half minute video that I accidentally trimmed to the middle off with lots of images and movement across it. I've reset the time to it's proper settings but the images and such outside of the previously trimmed to area are now just incredibly small slivers.Is there a way to restore my video in any semblance to what it used to be without redoing all the work? When i search effects panel for Chroma Key, it shows as Missing > Chroma Key. Ofcourse because of this its non draggable and unusable onto the footage. Keylight is there in the list.

I recently tried installing the LottieFiles plugin for After Effects. In the Creative Cloud app, it says the extension is successfully installed, however nothing shows up in Window > Extensions in After Effects. I tried installing via ZXP and the ZXP manager also shows that it's successfully installed, however I'm still not seeing anything in the Extensions menu. Anyone know what's going on?

Whenever i got to open my project, and After effects error pops up saying "After Effects effect "BCC Directional Blur" has global outflags mismatch. Code flags are 100 and PiPL flags are 6108214" (25 :: 16) How do i fix this, anyone know?

Hi, on one of my comps i have a brush stroke like stock clip.....im using it against a solid...so its a wipe on brush stroke. Ive done it, set a luma key to remove the black bg and its ok. Now i want the same stroke to unwipe itself. This is where i dont know what to do. I tried laying a dup clip of the same and trying out some blending modes to see if it will do the stroke again, but this time with invisible ink, ie cancelling out the existing bursh stroke below it. Im imagining i can expand this above clip a little largerand make it into some sort of mask which can wipe out the shrunk (smaller sized) stroke below it. Just a wild guess theoroctically. Dont know how to do it. Anyone who can point me in the right direction ?

My question is can you track the camera movement of green screen footage when you don't have track markers? I have major handheld camera movement of a subject in front of a green screen but the track markers didn't show up. Trying to find out if I'm able to track the footage Within Adobe After Effects.

If you use paint, does AE blend the paint color with the solid layer in the background?
