Hi there, I have the following logo element that I would like to animate in some way.  I was thinking of having the left circle/dot fade in or just appear and then have the "u" curved shape draw itself from under the left dot downwards and then up to the right with the second circle/dot bounce out of the end of the drawn "u". I have no idea how to do this, so was wondering if anyone could recommend any tutorials, or what kind of animation this would be called, or some starting points? Any suggestions would be appreciated! Many thanks! 

Whenever I add any magic bullet effect into a clip, it turns the clip black and when I export the clip, it makes the clip glitchy and not show up correctly.  The attachments I added are before adding looks and colorista V, after adding looks and colorista v along with other effects, and a third one which shows without looks and colorista v but keeping the other effects. I have a feeling this may be a graphic issue as I'm running this on VMware (for my own reasons) if so, Is there a way I can fix this?  

Paying homage to Andrew Kramer's original Ultra 3D Earth tutorial, I think I have finally cracked creating solar flares, magnetic field lines and 3D flames erupting from the surface of a star.   In the video, I talk you through creating a procedural texture for the sun using the Fractal Noise effect. Then I show how to take an existing, included material in Element3D and update it with this texture to apply to a sphere. Once that's done, I show how to use the built-in primitives and precomps to create the surface features. Along the way, I share some nifty shortcuts, like how to copy a group's settings, how to use the distort features of Element and how to get a final look.

I can change to Star in Polygon and create what I want, but why is there no options with Star Tool?I was pretty certain Star Tool had Points, Position, Roundness, too. I toggled it open and closed, restarted AE, etcIs there any known issues regarding Star Tool? Thank you for any insight on this and if that was never an option, my mistake. Video is divided into different parts, and I need to create a proxy for the camera, but when using dynamic link in after effects the camera is duplicated by different files and for each of them I need to make a proxy, is it possible to make a proxy that it applies to the rest of the files of my camera? II don't know much about expressions , and that's why I'm looking for some help here.I have a JSON file containing answer names and the layer name of a "correct" emoji that I want to make visible over the correct answer. However, I need this "correct" emoji to stay visible after its initial appearance, showing the answers that have already been revealed until the end.Is there an expression I can apply for this instead of do it manually ?Here's an example of the current content in my JSON file:[{"Comp": 1,"answer": "She-Hulk","emoji": 10},{"Comp": 2,answer": "Iron Man","emoji": 3(I guess that I need something like "if the emoji number in json file is equal to emoji layer number , then opacity =100. Hi there, I'm trying to change the perspective of one of my layers, and I'm having trouble with the CC Power Pin effect. Does anyone know why the pin corners default to the edges of my 1920 x 1080 comp? I'd like to put them on the bounds of the precomp I'm applying them to so I can simply drag them to create the perspective.  Thanks,Matt 

Hi I'm facing an issue similar to what is visible in this video - https://youtu.be/a8JUY7CZ6ZI?si=sXcBMLhTIq696jze&t=170. If you'd notice when he applies offset at 02:48, the animation stops at the anchor point of the square and doesn't complete the shape, like it normally would. Any leads/ideas please how can this be fixed? I'm really new and this is time sensitive pls. 

Ok, this is a bit hard to explain. Lately I have been downloading quite a few kinetic typography templates from MotionArray, and for the most part, they have been awesome. However. Some of them have a colour comp where you can change around 3 primary colours eg. Text 1, Text 2, Background.That's all good, but when i go to add a drop shadow, no matter what colour I make the shadow, its comes out the same colour as the text colour control.How can I make a drop shadow that is not bound to the same colour as the text. I hope I'm explaining that right. I am trying to use the layer styles drop shadow. Please let me know if you need any screenshots/info on my end.Thank you!

How is a mask by colored selection (from a layer with unique colors) and can use dica mask (selection) in another layer? To be more concrete how to generate a selection from the Cryptomatte idmaterial layer to use this selection in the rgboriginal layer.GRacias!

Hello,I want to move a watermark around the screen like the old dvd players used to do. Rather than manually making a mask path, I intended on using expression to achieve this effect. I currently have modulated the watermark to move around by: speed=50;position + [time,time]*speed This achieves the movement, but the position moves continually off screen and does not stay within. How can i create boundaries to stop position from moving off screen? Best,Rat

Whenever I try to use the S_TimeSlice effect in my project it immediately makes my after effects crash or stop responding or sometimes if somehow works, it makes my after effects too laggy. I've tried all the different versions of the Sapphire plugin and this issue persists. I'd like to know what exactly is the problem that occurs when I try to use this effect and how i can use it without any issue. I've tried changing my Renderer settings from Software only to CUDA and cleared my Media Cache . I've decent PC specs mentioned below -RTX 3050 4GB VRAM.Ryzen 7 4800h 8 cores16 gb RAM DDR41TB SSD

Hi there,I have an issue where there is a duplication of RAM allocation to the application. AE therefore uses up more RAM than it should. The only way to resolve this duplication seems to be by restarting my Macbook Pro M1 (Ventura 13.5.2) . I'm running AE 23.6. Clearing the memory within AE does nothing.Anyone else had this issue / know a solution without a manual restart? Thanks

I try with windows server 2019 but it doesn't work Is it a choice not to be able to do this? Or am I doing something wrong?

I am trying to move an object in straight lines as in the image below but the Bezier handles won't make this possible. How can I get rid of them and move my shape in straight lines with no curves whatsoever? Is there a way that they (bezier handles) can be turned off completely also?

I need just one of the handles, and using the Convert Vertex tool makes both handles appear. This results in a curve on both ends of the point, which is hindering me.

Hi there, I'm trying to create a fractal noise that consists of only black and white (no greyscale values in between). I'm increasing the contrast property on the noise, but it's still not giving me pure black and white. Does anyone have a workaround? Thanks!
