After Effects

I have a pretty big amount of footage that I want to sort through into bins and also add in's and out's to by using premiere. I then want to import the sorted footage into an after effects file (or files) which is where I plan to make an animated film out of the footage. Is it possible for me to somehow preserve the in's and out's that I specified in my project in premiere? I've looked a bit at dynamic link and also just importing the premiere file into my after effects project however neither have seemed to work (or maybe I'm just a newbie lol). I'm also wondering if there's a better workflow to do this with? I've never worked with after effects before and so am not sure if I came up with the best system. Please feel free to recommend if you have a better way of doing all this. Thank you!

I have MSI Thin gf63 thin with i7 12th gen processor, 16 gb ram, rtx 4060 8gb GPU and after effects is pretty slow. I need to do everything in quarter resolution and for example I made some animation with a lot of gradients and effects (5 seconds animation) it took over 2 hours to render it.. Is that normal or?

Hi,hope to write in at least good english. Today I was working in AE and went good since this evening where when I apply the wrp stabilier ( i tried only this one) the program don't apply it to the new composition, but to the older one.Then I reinstalled it with the latest versione, but still won't go 😞 Also it's very slow now (yeah, I purged the cache, but it won't go)

I am so frustrated. I cannot find any other question like this. Right now I'm using a 3D layer with images going past a camera. Images are in a pre-comp. Simple. However, when I swap out images and play back my sequence the preview will reset and only show the old edits AND it doesn't make sense in terms of sync/placement. This is extremely frustrating and happens in other projects that AREN'T 3D as well. I've tried so many things to fix playback errors, nothing. Even upon closing the program and opening up, the initial view is of my current edit, however upon pressing play there's the wrong images again. I don't get any error messages, nothing. I just get to feel crazy.

Hi! I am learning to make this animated mockup. I managed to create the phone and change the background but when I want to make the animation in a new composition the layers appear in the corner and I can not move them. I am really new, I appreciate your help and if I can do something to fix it 

I prefer working with "separate dimensions" active and, as an avid shortcut user, I noticed the lack of a shortcut for adding keyframes specifically to the X or Y positions (since pressing Alt + Shift + P adds keyframes to both). I found an option to assign a shortcut for adding keyframes to the X position, but I couldn't find one for the Y position. 

I've been working on this clip for a few days and just finished and rendered when I noticed this gray box in the final render. I realized then that it was also showing up in the preview. I mustve missed it thinking it was part of a mask or something. I searched all over and couldn't find anything on it. Anyone know what this is/how to get rid of it? Thanks 

I started a 2D animation project in Adobe Animate because i thought the compatibility between adobe programs would be simple and helpful. I want to transfer a project from Adobe Animate into After Effects to continue the animation and do compositing and effects, but this error shows up "An error occurred while importing this file". This happens with every file I've tried so it doesn't seem to be an issue with the project itself. Is there a way to fix this and transfer my work from Animate to After Effects? I really need help 😞  

So i was working on an after effect project and i got a problem that i dont know how to solve.So i wanted that Shape (the triangle with the wave warp effect) the shape you see in the back that is an illustrator project. My goal is that i look kind a like this and keep the wave warp animation that i have. I want the background to be transparant to eventually but something in the back.Any clue to help me with this?

Hello, I'm doing a phone green screen replacement project and I decided to use Mocha for the purpose. I watched most available tutorials on youtube about it and thought I did everything correctly, but the end track data export moves the replacement matte. Here's a video recording of what I've done: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/27435382?key=6884872880d708ece28cc595c99742fb I'm also describing the steps I took below: 1 - Made a base track of the phone and activated the planar surface, after which I repositioned it so that every corner can be placed on each of the tracking + of the green screen. Made small adjustments to the phone shape track by tweeking the points of the x spline. I also did a 2nd layer for the thumb that swipes the phone and placed it above the base track as an occlusion. 2 - removed the green screen with keylight. I had to increase the screen deposit white to remove the remaining + marks but that ate some pixels from the background, so I

 Create a new project. Create compositions.Select a couple compositions and add them to render queue.Having them all selected in the render queue click output to and specify the destination folder.After Effects removes all your final files names (except from the one you've just selected) and replaced them with _1.mp4, _2.mp4, etc.To circumvent it you need to remove all the files from the render queue and add them again.Please fix.

I have a question : for an animation I need to make a transition between two images. To do this, I'd like to create a thick line that would cut the first image in two, revealing the image underneath under its thickness. So I added a trim path on my pen trace and now I'm stuck. I need your help, I've also tried setting it to "Silouhette alpha" but that doesn't work either. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks 

I am running After Effects on a 16 inch Apple M1 Max Macbook, 32GB ram. AE runs incredibly well on this machine, but by simply applying Lumetri Color to a clip the whole program stalls. If I make any basic tweaks to the effect, even as simple as changing highlights by a few points, it takes minutes for the updates to then reflect in the preview window.  I would normally never grade in AE but I am attempting to do a day to night effect, and right now it's impossible.  Any ideas?

For some reason media encoder changes the position and repeats a section of my composition when exporting.After effects PreviewMedia encoder outputThis issue occured when I tired to render the composition in Quicktime Format. It affects the output of the video, and when I try to switch back to H.264, the updated position+repeated edge persist.I managed to replicate this exact issue with a totally different composition using the same steps which makes me think its a media encoder issue.

In AfterEffects I want to move a composition in the timeline. I want to first create the different drawing animations in my whiteboard doodle video without regard to position on the timeline and move them afterward to the correct time in my video. I truly won't know until later in the process when I want them to start and stop. I need a lot of flexibility to move different compositions forward or backward in the timeline without them being tied to a certain time of occurence in the video. When I try to slide a comp forward or back, the motion still occurs at the same time and moving the bar in the timeline just cuts off the beginning or ending without moving the action to a new spot. Is this possible? Eventually, I also want to be able to decrease or extend duration of the action in these comps. I believe this has to do with roving keyframes. Is this kind of flexibility possible?

Hi! I'm looking for a way to distribute objects with an increasing (exponential?) spacing between them. Do you have any tips for a script/plugin/expression, which could help me achieve this in After Effects?

good afternoon greetings.Since I updated After Effects around April 15, it doesn't start for some reason.I open it and it stays in the first loading box "initializing media core"Several things can happen:1 - It stays on that screen loading until the end of time2 - If I run it as administrator, it skips this load, starts the program, but when it starts and shows me the interface, if I click anywhere the program freezes immediately until it closes.3 - the after effects beta does not open either, in any version.4 - I managed to open after effects using premiere, creating a precomp of premiere, and sending it with dynamic link to after effects. By doing this the program opens and works without problem, but when I close it it does not work again, and I must repeat the process in premiere if I want to open after effects again.I have tried many solutions, and I have read several forums and seen several tutorials, and none of them solve my problem.- I already tried to uninstall and reinstall a

Dear Adobe, Could you tell me how to fix the direction and the nadir? I cannot get appropriate nadir caused of the specification of a 360 camera or the unwanted signals from over the clouds. Therefore, It's possible to see it as not center point in the video slightly. It's been persisted such the case by the functionality or signals.When I take the video is not only straight forward, there will be several small curves in the shooting route.Best regards,F.Y.I.The 360 camera has no GPS functionality. It seems that it will use stabilization to compose the 360 video/photo and the nadir. it's rely on the smartphone like Google Pixel, iPhone and so on. I have multi-risks to use the camera. But I cannot re-purchase a new maker yet.

i'm not sure how it happened but while trying to render my video without getting an error, this black patch appears in my precomp and won't go away. I went into previous save files and it still appears. i'm not sure what happend and i can't find anyone with this problem.
