After Effects

Hello,Every time I render a video out and then attempt to upload to instagram through drop box, the audio quality seems as if it worsens and doesn't sound very good after I upload to instagram. I'm using H.264 and AAC as my export options, I have tried using wav and or mp3 files for the audio in the project but I still get the same results and I have also tried various audio settings such as acc, mp4, uncompressed, etc. and still get poor audio quality. Any help is much appreciated.Thanks

Hi all, I'm looking to try create an effect where a "hole" opens up in the ocean below the boat in this shot and it gets swallowed by rushing water like a water fall. In the end I want it to look like a circular waterfall like Niagra falls but in the middle of the ocean. I have a problem with the after effects preview of alpha layers. When I try to import them the skew within the border of the footage. Does anyone have the same problem / knows the fix??? Wherever i search i can't find any fix. The vlc preview gives a normal video of the file (.mov)*purple is the background, stripes should resamble a single 3D object but got skewed bij after effects.   Thanks fer helping!

I'm using it non stop to import sequences from Avid to After, V23 was crashes so many times on the last few months so I decided to upgrade, but I can't find the pro import! and of course I can't do a regular import / draging the AAF to the project..

i have windows 10, after effects cs6(11.0.4) and when i import a video, there is no audio, and after effects shows the waveform, and i tried everything. it happend one day when i eneterd the program. the audio switch is on, on i checked the audio output box

Hey, PLEASE HELP. So I get this error everytime I try to use the dynamic link from Premiere Pro to After Effects. I have been getting this error for 5 months now, and I don't know what to do. I am using the M1 Macbook Pro with the latest versions of Adobe softwares.I read somewhere that if you delete an insta360 plugin file it solves the problem but I couldn't even find that particular Insta360 file in the Adobe installed files. PLEASE HELP ME.Also, if I import any mp4 file in After Effects I get an error saying "vsni file is damaged or unsupported"Please and thank you people

Hi there, I use my Windows 10.  if you read my English is bad. I still need your help. it's about the struggle with the video format ".avi" I brought it from an online store and it VXF effect. I draw it to the video to drop off on After Effects but it shows up that sign says "After Effects error: File "Name....avi" Cannot be opened, it may be in an unsupported format.  I ask that support chat, they keep it up to say VLC player, I have no idea! I did download that VLC Player. I drop off on After Effect not work again. What I should do?

My After Effects crashes or freezes when I'm rendering.I've tried reinstalling After Effects, reinstalling my computer's operating system(Win10), disabling hardware acceleration, updating drivers, updating the system(Win10), limiting CPU usage, and other methods, but none of them have worked.I have also tested my hardware using Cinebench to ensure that there are no issues under full load.My After Effects versions are 23.6.2 and 24.1, and my computer hardware includes a 14900k processor and a 4070ti graphics card.Please help me. Hi all, I got a shot where a man walking accross the frame. I wanna cut him out by using rotobrush but I wonder what is the (kinda) most effective workflow for this. During the research for this, I come across the Procedural mattes workflow that Gerard mentioned in some threads. I watched the video Rotoscoping with Mocha & After Effects from Curious Turtle chanel on Youtube and tried it out on my shot. So far this is what I've done: worked on the legs first since the man wears a pair of blue jeans. I masked out the legs, used Calculations to comebine 2 Red channels and then Levels effects to make it into a black and white shot. After that I used Luma Matte mode to pull out the legs. The result came out just "ok" (I guess?) and still has some edges issue that need to be worked on later. I'm wondering is there any effective way to do it. Am I missing anything here? With other details like shoes, hands, arms, I still need to rotobrush it by hand or using Mocha to mask t

Im trying to attach a graphic to the car by using the 3d camera tracker, selecting the points and creating camera and null. however, the null object isnt showing up for some reason, any ideas on how to fix this?

I'm trying to make a transition smoother by editing the graph, but I can't. The graph is red, and only zooms in (like the switch at the bottom that makes your clips bigger and smaller, but with the graph) when I click it. Usually the yellow lines that help me adjust the lines come up, but now they won't. Any help?

I have been using AE for the longest and I ran into this problem A LOT and no matter what I tried nothing seemed to work until I accidentally THINK I found a solution and it's actually pretty easy.  I think the problem start when you don't give enought time to AE to load the footage (I know it might sound silly) but that's what I start doing (let AE load the footage) and I don't have a single random black frame ever since. I'm not saying to leave there when you import the clip, drag it to the composition and let the green bar load before pressing play, just leave it there for a min (depending of how long the footage is and how good your pc is, it might take less or more but just leave it there).  And as silly as it might sound that's how I fixed that issue. We just need to be a lil bit patient, lol. Hope this helps (believe me when I say I tried EVERYTHING and this things is the only "method" that worked for me).

Aguna idea para solucionarlo? Hice la actualizacion a la version 24.1.0 (build 78) en el computador de mi oficina (imacPro) y no logro importar archivos .png de ninguna manera. Para un ejemplo simple, la simple captura de pantalla se guarda en .png en el escritorio y no me deja importarla, antes lo hacia sin inconvenientes.No me sale mensaje de error ni nada, solo no se coloca el archivo en el proyecto.Arrastrando el archivo al proyecto sale un icono de prohibido.Con el menu importar archivo los archivos .png estan en gris. Le cambio a "todos los formatos" y se pone disponible para importar pero al final no se coloca en el proyecto. Lo peculiar es que en el computador de mi casa (macbook pro 2016) tengo la misma version y no tengo inconveniente.... Que puede estar pasando? Gracias!!

Hello,  I would like to make a .mogrt with a text layer where the user can select (via drop-down or checkbox) one of two intro animations, and one of two outro animations.  One of the intro animations is using a text animator; the other is using the Basic 3D effect.  For the Basic 3D, I'm pretty sure that I can link up the "Opacity" parameter under "Compositing options" to a checkbox or dropdown and effectively turn that animation "on" or "off" that way.  However for the text animator I haven't found an easy way to turn that "on" or "off."  So far I have been trying to do this all with only one text layer. However one potential solution that a friend recommended is to have two separate text layers (I could parent one source text to the other so that both are updated simultaneously by the user of the .mogrt). Then I could have the Basic 3D on one text layer and the text animator on the other text layer; and connect my checkbox/dropdown t

Windows 11 Pro 10.0.22000i9 gen 12RTX-3090128GB RAMAE 2023.6.0 I am rendering using ProRes422 with a project link embedded. If I attempt to import the rendered QT as a project. The option to import as a project is missing. It works properly in previous versions and on another machine. The main difference I see on my client's machine is this Format NotchLCPlugin. I don't see this on my machine. Any ideas?  They have a complex file structure and are pointing me to a render but have no idea where the project is saved.

I work in a studio where we deal with inmense amount of deliverables per project. Localisation differences or just dynamic videos that can have varying shots per asset where an edit itself stays global. The use of Essential Graphics is a key component for us in order to minimize timelines and iterations as uniques are created dynamically instead of being full duplicates.The part where our workflow breaks is when we have to deal with takes that inculed voice-overs or dialog that also needs to be swapped. 1:Currently using expressions to "mute" a track and 0dB the other through stereo mixer effect only functions within the comp it's setup. When you change it outside the comp via Essential Graphics master properties only visual elements change but not the received audio.I think the Master Properties only checks for visual data changes and not audio which it should! 2:The other workflow breaking bug/oversight is the fact that Dropdown Menu expressions written in the Master P

Hey !I know that you can get an older version of your application. BUT, when I checked the version Adobe suggests in the Creative Cloud, I saw that you can't download older than the 23.0 version. Is there a way to get any version we want (I'm looking for the 2020 versions).Thanks 🙂

This is a bit weird to explain, but I want to make a border for my stream overlay with a grainy glow that is looping around in a rounded rectangle. I used the Saber plugin to animate it, but the grain affects all the composition. I need it to ONLY affect the glow caused by the Saber, otherwise I would get random grain on my stream. How do I do this or is it possible to do it? I don't know if you can see it, but the grain is in the black background. Also, now that I'm here, how would I go about exporting this video with alpha.

Hello, I am learning after effects expressions. The tutorial am following, there the tutor said the student and the teacher need to have same settings so taht we are on the same page throughout the class. I notice there is something called 'Selection alpha'. My tutor's is 0.37 and mine is only 0.3 am curious what is it actually. I googled nothing relatable with scripting. but general discussion about alpha channel of layers or other stuff. what is 'selection alpha' in scripting? should I change the  number?
