Hello, I've been getting this message when trying to open up a project file that I received: "Last log message was: <123145431879680> <GPU Render Pipeline> <1> Dry run of effect 'AE.S_DissolveShake' on device AMD Radeon Pro 555X Compute Engine failed (err = -1609629695). GPU support for this effect+device will be disabled for this session." My laptop specs:Macbook Pro 2019Processor: 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7Memory: 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4Graphics: Radeon Pro 555x 4 GB / Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB Based off the error message I assume the sapphire effect, "Dissolve Shake", is being used a bit much and my GPU can't handle it, therefore crashing? I was able to open the project file in another composition, however, it crashes again when trying to open the composition in the project file which contains the dissolve shake effect. Hello, I'm a music producer and I'm trying to sync parts of my visualizer to parts my song, specifically the drums. So I exported the kick and snare track and converted that to keyframes, expecting the keyframes to spike at the transients. However, in the space between the drums the keyframes hover around 30% even though there is complete silence at that point in the audio file. The transients also only peak at around 50%, even though they reach 0dbfs in the audio file. Why is this and is there a way to fix it?-GlitchMaster

hello! I'm running into continuous full pc crashes when rendering out a video in After Effects using Video Copilot's Saber for additional VFX on text and the outline. All versions of software and plugins up to date. After Effects Ver. 18.2.1Video Copilot Saber 1.0.39PC Specs : 64 GB RAMNVIDIA GeForce 2080 Super 8GB VRAMEVGA 850W Power Supply  the freeze only happens during renders, video previews in the project are fine. It's frozen everytime I've attempted a render using both QuickTime and AVI format. This has happened on a previous project where I eventually gave up on using saber because of the crashes, so it isn't the project file itself. It seems to happen when more than one instance of saber is used at once potentially, but some crashes occur before the second instance even starts 5 seconds into the render.I'd be happy to share any AE Preferences or screenshots of anything in specific if that assists anyone's knowledge of the situation as well.hoping it's

Hey everyone, apologies ahead of time if this has already been touched upon before. However I'm quite confused as only one of the shots in my video is facing this issue.  using AE and ME 2023 specs:Windows 11AMD Ryzen 9 5900xRTX 3070 Ti128gb DDr4 RAM Basically I'm at the end of my pipeline for this animation I'm making, after rendering I comped in nuke and exported every shot as a PNG sequence (no alpha), and then plugged it through Topaz Video Ai to upscale my animation from 1080p to 4K, still with each shot as a seperate PNG sequence. So now I have a collection of 4K png sequences that I just want to compile together for my final animation file.  However, for whatever reason the volumetric lighting in the last shot is quite horrific. Now I understand this can be an issue when compositing the raw volumetrics onto other render layers with color management and color spaces and whatnot, but that shouldn't be much an issue here. Lately I've been having a lot of problems with after effects, ive been using it since august with no problems. Everything went smoothly and I never had any major problems until as of recently. On one of my latest projects I was unable to export on of my projects. I repeatedly sent it to media encoder and it would start encoding and then it would just fail, then it stop sending my projects to media encoder all together. I brought it up with an adobe employee who had informed me that my computer dosent fit the qualifications for after effects which puzzles me because it has been working for me for these past few months. Now when I'm working on a project after effects isn't previewing. I tried pressing play on the preview pannel but still nothing. While working this error keeps poping up but I have no ifea what it means and I'm having an extremely difficult time with after effects right now and I really need to work on my projects and edit. My Computer: M1 Mac mini 8GBHi all, I am working on a template flag animation, after doing all the editing when I export it and add it to the media encoder it shows a black-screen video. (I use H.264 because I like to keep it low file size and Need to get it in MP4 format) In the media encoder, it shows a black screen and not a preview video.So, I decided to use After Effects inbuild render and it renders QuickTime format. But that time sometimes I get instant black glitches. I don't know what's going on. Down below I attach a few screenshots of my com setting. I can not render in quick time in using a media encoder. Hola.No se si me explico bien en mi titulo, pero normalmente aparece un trazo de linas que acompañana la direcion del movimiento que se realice a algun elemento en after.Y no se donde busca para activarlo. En la imagen se puede ver la linea verde del trazo de movimiento que no me aparece, la imagen la quite de un video tutorial de youtube. 

Hey guys i dont know much about after effects I only bought it years ago when i was shooting music videos for the same reason im using it now, which is to use it for Templates.. all im trying to do is edit the text and add my Logo name to it. but it keeps getting errors its 4 errors that pretty much say the same thing. Hello, I would appreciate your help.I want to open a cinema 4d file in after effects and I get an error:( After Effects error: Code (A_Err_GENERIC): This version of AE requires and installation of Cinema 4D R25 (25.015 or later). This can be installed by the AE installer ( 0 :: 1) I`ve  read the posts of this forum about the same problem but it is not solved it.I have cinema r24 r25  and the latest version of cinema r26 updated from maxon app and the latest version of after effects installed. Thank you

Hi, I have a question regarding running extendscript for After Effects. When running an external script I can call:"C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe After Effects 2023/Support Files/AfterFX.exe" -r <Path to .jsx script>While the script does execute in the currently opened instance of After Effects, this exits full screen if the window is full screen, which can be inconvenient as I need to set the window back to full screen each time I run the script. Is there another solution that works programmatically? Don't want to use File->Scripts->Run Script File. Thanks!

Hallo zusammen,ich bin recht neu in der Welt von After Effects 2024 und Beta und verzeiht, wenn mein Problem ein banales ist oder hier bereits ausführlich diskutiert wurde.Folgendes Problem mit dem ich zukämpfen habe.Ich habe eine GLB Datei welche importieren möchte. Das importieren ansich klappt auch ohne meckern.Nach dem Import erstelle ich mit dem 3D Objekt (die GLB Datei) eine neue Komposition. Im Vorschaubild sehe ich nun auch den Fensterrahmen und die Achsen. Allerdings ist alles einfach nur schwarz. Egal was ich probiere es zeigt mir nichts an außer den Rahmen und die Achsen. Jetzt kommen meine großen Fragezeichen. Mach ich was falsch? Liegt es an meinen Einstellungen oder an meiner Hardware? Ich habe es sowohl in AE24 als auch AE Beta probiert. Mercury Software und GPU geswitched. Ich verzweifel langsam und hoffe, dass hier jemand eine passende Lösung am Start hat. VG

Some reason after effects just stopped working now. like when i import a clip now its just black and wont play the composition at all. and say i do get that working if i make any single adjustment to the clip like split it or add effects or just anything the composition doesnt play and it crashes me

Hi all!I create a mask on an image, apply the mask feather and its edges are smoothed.I apply the CCKaleida effect to the image and the mask feather effect is lost, the original edges return.I have tried to apply a precomp to the image with the mask feather effect and to apply the CCKaleida to the precomp but it doesn't work either.

Hi all, I'm following this tutorial https://youtu.be/1STRwf6qmZM and I can't get the trapcode form textured polygons to align with the sphere like he does in the video (pic 1), they just all align in one direction (pic 2), even when I use a icosahedron .obj sphere from c4d (I had to create it myself as the download link from the tutorial is dead). I was wondering if anyone had any ideas, and whether or not it's related to the current version of trapcode. Thanks!

I'm having a very difficult time with the graphs. They always seem to form stairs, and I don't understand why, they are impossible to edit that way. Im following a twixtor tutorial, and I've done exactly as the person in the video, but as you can see the graphs look completely different. (Pics are before I or the other person touched them). Please help? 

Hello guys, I’m having some trouble with a drop shadow displaying on a 3D model in Element 3D (my version: 2.2.2). I’ve spent hours looking for a solution, but couldn’t find any. From what I’ve seen in tutorials, there should be a plane surface added either in the same group as the model or in a second group (I tried both options, but with no difference). I checked the “Matte Shadow” option from the Element 3D interface panel, then back in AE’s Effects Controls, I checked the “Enable AO” under “Ambient Occlusion”, but nothing happens. I saw in one video that the guy did this, but also created a Light object in the scene, positioned it where he wanted, and enabled “Cast Shadows”, after which he had shadows under his 3D model, but that doesn’t help me either. The Formula 1 car model I’m using is a free one I downloaded from free3d.com. I also tested these settings with one of Element’s free pre-built models (a billboard), but again there weren’t any shadows. I’m out of opt

Usually, there should be a button that could link to Adobe Font directly in After Effects, and a switch named 'font settings' in Creative Cloud. However, I don't have both so the fonts cannot be used. Has anyone met this problem before? Could someone help me to fix it? Really appreciate it.

I know that I could make 360 degree VR videos in After Effects. But how could I make 180 degree VR videos? Have missed something?

Months ago I started a project in Premiere and sent the video to AE via dynamic link. I then lost interest in it for a while. Since coming back to it, the link between the Premiere project and the AE project has broken, so that any work I do in the AE project does not update in the Premiere timeline any more.There have been several new versions of both Prem and AE in that time, and I'm on the latest versions of both. Is there anything I can do to re-establish the dynamic link between the AE project and the Prem project?

I'm pretty new to AE and I'm having an issue with a dotted line running through a layer in my comp. I have a mask, wire removal, keylight, and time remap on the layer but I've clicked all those effects/transformations on and off and the dotted line remains. Does anyone know what this is? Thank you!

The title kinda speaks for itself. Recently I've shot a bunch of videos with my iPhone 11 pro but the result doesn't come out the way I wanted it to be. The videos are blurry, making it really hard to track and roto on After Effects. Even though I've tried using Mocha as Regard susggested (a shout out to you, Sir) and it was wayyyyy better than built-in tracking freature in After Effects , I still wanna improve my videos during the production stage. So in order to achieve that goal, I've tried few things so far: Get the Blackmagic Camera app (but it comes with a big con - when I shoot ourdoor with the sunshine, the image is blown out), shooting with higher shutter speed; the lower ISO, the better; manually placing focus feature on talent. But still, the final video is better than shooting with built-in camera on iPhone but a bit blurry. For example, this new video I shot with low ISO, 180 degree shutter speed, filming a man walking across the street. The video came out is pre

For some reason After Effects is telling me I need more RAM despite having 32gb installed and allocating 29gb to after effects. I have no idea why this is happening. I've cleared my cache in the application (edit purge), my temp folder AppData\Local\Temp, and the AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media Cache Files folder. What else can I do to make this work? All my work is completely halted until I can figure this out. I have made much larger projects in the past, so I'm not sure why it's having difficulty with text on a 10 second video.  I'm attaching screenshots of the errors.  

Hello,I have been using After Effects for some basic vfx, but most of them are in a more realistic style, like glows or lightining that you can find video tutorials on Youtube that tell you how to do them. However, I really want to learn how to make a style of vfx similar to what I attached below. It's mostly magic vfx and is similar to vfx that you would find in stuff like games. Most tutorials I find online are too realistic and not in this style. I know there is probably quite a lot that has to be illustrated, but I am not sure how everything is necessarily made. I am only assuming that these vfx in the examples below are done in After Effects. It would be awesome if anyone could point me to any courses, resources, videos, etc that goes into depth on how to create this sort of vfx.
