After Effects

Hello, I am following one tutorial (cant attached, paid, I will end up in  jail). I exactly did what the teacher does. I applied transform effect to a layer and place anchor point from transform effect panel in a specific point (to rotate it from that point). Later I whipped position to the anchor point so that anchor point  follows position. In the tutorial The anchor point remain attached with the shape layer no matter what the teacher does, rotate, move ect. But the  anchor point in my comp does not listen to my command. It stays like as if position is not attached to the anchor point. Anchor point stays fixed where I put it, it does not move if I move or rotate with the shape layer, but in tutorial it does exacltly the opposite, There the anchor point moves with the shape layer, there it is not fixed. I dont understand what is wrong with my shape layer and its anchor point. please guide me.    

Hey, I want to make sure the pupil of the eye I made doesn't phase out of the white of the eye. I tried using Set Matte and linking the pupil to the white of the eye. In all of the tutorials I've followed I've noticed that all of the images they used are shapes so I thought maybe that was the problem? I did that with the white part but it still doesn't work, does that even matter? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I don't see Trapcode plugins in After Effects. Maxon shows all purchases correctly.

There are ideas why this happens. Tracker points are stationary. Regardless of the footage, the points are in the same place. After Effects version 24.0.3. MacBook pro m3pro 

Hello, I am working on this video which contains white text, in ae it appears as white, but after I render it with media encoder, some text and footage appears to have a gray overlay, I don't know why is this happening I am not using any overlay or mask or effect on those footages 

When I push the play button the red line moves but nothing change in the image. The only way to saw how the image changes is to move the blue line manually.

Hey, is it possible to have multiple mesh warps that each have an effect on their own image within one porject?

Nothing in the interface responds to anythingthis isn't just a one-off, it happens all the time.  Or is it just me thats lucky enough to have found this?

I'm using VC Element to add a virtual environment to a green screen shot.I want to control the lighting on the 3D scene to match the studio lighting set up, but I can't seem to get rid of some ambient light on the 3D objects even with all my AE comp lights turned off.I've got the element settings: use comp lights (on), add lighting (none), shadows (enabled). In the Element scene set up, I've turned off any object with an illumination value, and turned the "ambient" material value to 0. I've tried with both the Classic and Cinema 4D renderer. No matter what, the object never gets completely black when I turn off the AE comp lights (although they do increase the light on the object when turned on).Any ideas on what I should do? Thanks! 

I'm exporting video files that are about 2-3 seconds and have an important alpha channel for transparency to be used as a transition for streaming. The completed file size is always 641 megs when I want it be under 10 mb. When I choose h264 in the export settings, it lowers the size but doesn't include the RGB + Alpha option. I only find that when I choose AVI.What else can I try?

I get the error every time I try to render or playback it. SAFE MODE doesn't help, turning off all the scripts doesn't help either. I am using After Effects 2024.

Hi,  I'm trying to ram preview a clip in After Effects 24.0 on my new m2 mac studio and it will only preview 10-50 frames. Sometimes it dumps the frames all together after previewing 50 frames. I've cleared disk cache and restarted, and it makes no difference. The same clip is fine on my intel Mac, it previews the whole thing no trouble. So I thought it was something to do with my intel mac having 64gb of ram, and my mac studio only having 32gb.  But after reading on here about previous versions being buggy with silicon macs, and trying everything I could, I thought I'd give After Effects 23.6.2 a try. And it's fine. Does the whole lot no problem, actually more than my intel mac with 64gb.  Looking at activity monitor it seems After Effects 24.0 gets stuck at using about 8gb of ram, where as 23.6.2 uses as much as it needs. I've checked settings and they're all identical.  Anyone else having this problem, or know how to fix it? Thanks

Savez pourquoi l'expression n'indique pas 0.31 ? merci

Bonjour, J'étais habitué sur After Effects à utiliser ces raccourcis :touche ù et $ = dans la fenêtre de la ligne temporelle, déplacer le bloc de temps sélectionné, après/avant le curseur.Cependant, depuis une mise à jour, ceux-ci ne fonctionnent plus. Je ne parviens pas à trouver quelle touche les a remplacés, ni même le nom exact de l'action pour recréer un raccourci. Quelqu'un saurait quel raccourci permet de le faire désormais, ou bien le nom de l'action pour le modifier ? Merci d'avance

I have imported a simple 2D triangle PNG file made in paint.net. I need to stretch it but only from one of the points and only in one direction. I've looked up how-to videos on this but they all talk about shapes created within After Effects.How do I do this?

Hi,I have some footage with neon lights flickering in the background. I do not have the budget to buy a plug in and the duplicate, shift one frame solution you see a lot online does not work. Is there anything else I can try?

All my shortcuts to move frame by frame stopped working and I don't know why. Even if I change the key to the shortcut, it still doesn't work. I tried different compositions and projects and the error persists. Other shortcuts seems to be working fine. I already tried resetting preferences, update amd reinstall After Effects, change shortcuts, keyboard language. Nothing works. Someone had this problem or know why it could be happening?

One of the features in AfterEffects I use more than anything, but notice the least out of all of them, was the pinch-zoom and two-finger scroll. I'm not sure if you can use these features on PC but if you've got a trackpad on your Mac, you've probably become just as dependent on this feature as I have. You can not only scroll and zoom on your preview, but you can scroll and zoom on your timeline as well, which is just the stuff dreams are made of.But for some reason in AfterEffects, this amazing, intuitive feature has been removed/altered in the last 2 updates! I just installed the latest one this morning and the feature remains unfixed. I mean, you can still zoom on the preview but it just zooms in and out of 0,0 rather than centrally and certainly not where you put the cursor like before. And yes, the scroll works in the timeline, but the zooming isn't!This feature isn't replaceable before you tell me to just use '+/-' instead. This is sacred.My perfect resolve to this question is fo

Since the AE 15.1 update my output via mercury transmit freezes periodically and the only way to unfreeze it is to switch to another comp or footage window and then switch back again. At first I thought it was my Blackmagic card but the same issue also occurs when outputting via MT to a second monitor attached to my nVidia. Updating this morning to 15.1.2 hasnt fixed anything.AE 15.1 - 15.1.2Win 10i9-7900X128GB ram2xnVidia 1080Ti
