After Effects

Hi, I'm trying to control the size (specifically the "Outer Radius") of a hexagon, but instead of scaling from the center, I want to scale from the bottom. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks!

Hi ! The short version: I'm desperately trying to link time remaps and make it so that time remap B loops every X frames of time time remap A. Basically, what I'd like to do is, when TR A plays, say, 15 frames, TR B plays it's full length, then when TR A plays another 15 frames (raching frame 30), TR B loops again. It doesn't have to be a number of frames, percentages will do. Percentages will probably be more helpful. And then, I'd like to be able to apply the expression to a TR C linked to TR B, then TR D linked to TR C, etc Hopefully I've somehow managed to convey my issue. Thanks in advance !More details: I'm trying to do an animated rotating number counter with a big, big number. It goes from hundreds to million. The rorating numbers are animated in a precomp, so far so good, but I just cannot have a long enough timeline to link loop the animation in the precomps and then link and speed the time remaps in a parent composition.

I am going to get one of these laptops. Work has lent me it. The product looks great but I was wondering if the memory is ok to run after-effects and premere pro? A lot of editing and big data transfer will be a lot of the task for the machine. I tried using a previous version of After Effects, and then reinstalling the latest version 24.2.1. It doesn't work in either.I can create a 'New Composition from Footage', but not from 'New Composition' which is what I want.I click OK and nothing happens. Clicking Cancel doesn't do anything either. I have to use X in the top right corner to get rid of the create new composition window.I run AE on Windows 11 - 64GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 5000,  NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050.I'd appreciate some help with this. if anyone can help my nvidia card Quadro K1100 M doesn't support new versions of After Effects, is there any way to use it, or any solution please

Hi gang; Let me preface by painting the big picture. I have a development machine which I do all my programming on. This is running a really old Intel chip (i7-4930K). I develop on AE 2020 and AE 2023. Unfortunately, the new AE requires AVX2 and my machine doesn't support it, so I cannot download AE 2024 and test it. I like developing on older tech because it guarrantees the slowest my plug-in would ever run. I decided to test my plugin on my work machine which is a best. It's a Ryzen Threadripper 3979X running AE 2024... and it crawls. It's really, really slow. I then went to test it on yet another slow machine I have (i7-3930K) and on a really old AE CS6 and it FLIES! Super fast. So my most powerful machine, with the newest AE version, is the slowest! Clearly, there is something off. I tried messing with various AE 2024 settings but nothing. It crawls. I do not have MFR implemented on my plugin but on my dev machine with AE 2023, it is still quite fast despit

When I use content aware fill on a layer the system stops rendering the fill layer just as it finishes the analyzing section. I get the first "out of memory" error below, followed by the "file not found" error when I click OK on the first one. My setup: HP laptop with Windows 10, 32 gigs ram, latest version of AE, Processor = Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz, 1992 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s) More backstory: I was working with this issue by chat with an Adobe support rep. He had me drag my Mediacore folder to my desktop, which contained (if I understand correctly) the Black Magic raw plugin I used to get my video footage into the project. Moving the folder to my desktop seemed to fix the memory issue, but then my AE session couldn't show any of my clips, as they all turned to those color bars. Returning the Mediacore folder to its previous home and reloading returned the project file to normal. Not sure what to do next.   

I'm struggling with open my project file because of the after effect error. I get this error message when I try to open my project file. After Effects error: asked to create unknown property of type"adbe layer source alternate (1d16)"screenshot:  I couldn't find an answer to my problem, so I decided to post about it. At first, I thought it was because of my computer specs, but that doesn't appear to be the case; instead, it appears to be a problem with the scripts, as you may be aware, and I have no idea how to fix it. I'm in desperate need of assistance.

Ive been having a problem with after effects, I dont know if its causes by this but when im using a project with a Dynamic link conection, everything goes whell until it crashes, and then with only tryin to reopen the project it instracrashes again. its not a heavy project, im only doing some text animations. so I dont know what could be causing it. am using the 23.6 version.

I have animated two lines of type for a template where they animate from opposite starting positions and then come together. I have a little problem here. I am currently working on a project that requires the background to be cyclic. I have a composition that has a pre-composition that needs to be modified so that there are opening and ending segments, as well as an animated background.The task is to make a graphic element with a duration of 289 frames. 14 frames for the opener and 25 for the ending. the video itself lasts 10 seconds.The video is in the preliminary composition which is located in the main composition. Changing the duration of the pre-composition takes place in the main composition. I was thinking about how to solve this problem and came up with the following option:I use an expression to calculate the acceleration coefficient, then use Time Remaping to speed up the clip. The problem is that to speed up the clip has succeeded, but to loop it in any way does not work.
