After Effects

hi, recently my after effects (2024&2025) has been really slow (genuinely takes 10 minutes to load a single effect+freezes) even though i have good specs. i have no idea how to fix this. i cleared all my caches and nothing happens. it has never been this slow before. 

Hi, I don't understand why but After Effects crashes when I try to start the program on my Mac Mini M1 OS Sequoia. I used to use it without any problem before but now it won't even start. There is no error message; it simply won't start. Can anyone help me? Thanks

Hey, I've been trying to create a graphic animation template in after effects for premerie for hours, but I keep getting the same errors. When I click on "Export graphic animation template" in the Essentail Graphics window in After Effects, I first confirm saving and then I always get the same error

Every time I open my new project after following these instructions, this message pops up on the screen again.  

I have this layer with Separated DimensionsThe Y is animated with keyframes. The X has no keyframes.When I move the layer in the X direction (with shift pressed, so constrained - Y is not changed),Y gets a keyframe, while it shouldn't, because the value is not changed. Please respect Separated Dimensions when repositionin in one direction. Only add a keyframe when the value of a keyframed track changes.  

I have been running AE 25.1 with no problem (or maybe it ws an older version. Today I open a project on my Mac running Sonoma 14.6.1 and there is no written information on the screen. The only words on the entire screen are the menu items on the right. When I move something to the render cue, it also is blank:  It's a little hard to work with out the written info, names etc.

I have a new M4 Max and have the most up to date After Effects 25.1 and i have some scripts I installed and they crash AE everytime and give an error message attached. These work on my M1. 

Hi, I've been trying to fix this issue on my own for the past few days and have met dead ends and I would really appreciate some help/insight. I've been trying to use the two effects, Numbers and Timecode, which are both under the text category of the effects and presets menu. Unfortunately, whenever I do try to use these effects, AE freezes, turns into that white lifted screen, and just crashes, forcing me to force quit the session.  So far I have tried:- Trying after restarting the PC (Not just restart, but like a full shut down, turn back on, and then trying)- Uninstalling and reinstalling After Effects 2024 and 2025 (I believe the versions I was using were 24.6.3 and 25.01)- Running the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, and reinstalling AE- Updating the GPU (My machine is using NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, Windows 11, 32GB RAM )- Disabling third-party plugins in safe mode- Checking off the "Hardware Accelerate Composition, Layer, and Footage Panels" while testin

Hi, I just upgraded my computer from an old 4930k to Ultra 285k.  I have 196gb of ram, 2x 2070, all m2 ssds. I upgraded to AE 2025.  Everything is running much faster than before, which is great news.  The only issue, is that the render queue window is very laggy.  When I press Ctrl - M, it takes a few seconds for the render queue to appear.  Also, when scrolling through older renders, it's very slow. This seems odd since everything else is working as it should. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks,Olivier

Hallo,ich kann alle Cinema-4D-Datein, die ich über das PlugIn in AfterEffects erstellt habe, nicht mehr öffnen.Wenn ich die C4D-Datei in AfterEffects markiere und den Befehl "Datei extern bearbeiten" anklicke, erscheint zuerst die Frage, ob ich die alte Datei überschreiben möchte (so, wie es sein sollte).Ich bestätige dann mit "Ja" und das Fenster verschwindet. Weiter passiert aber nichts. Cinema 4D startet nicht und es gibt euch keine Fehlermeldung.Ich kann "normal" mit AfterEffects weiterarbeiten.Vor ein paar Tagen hatte ich das Problem noch nicht. Ich habe AfterEffetcs auch schon komplett deinstalliert und neu installiert. - AfterEffects 25.1.0 (bulit 68)- Windows 11 Kennt jemand das Problem?

Please help me!when I work in after effects, at any moment or while minimizing after effects, it can freeze for 5-10 seconds, after which a black screen appears for 10-15 seconds, then everything passes and after that, after effects composition turns white or the entire program interface becomes transparent when I restart the program everything becomes normal

I hope everyone's having a great start to their week! So, in short, I've been haven a recent problem with After Effects. It would happen here and there on AE 2022, but it is now becoming frequent with AE 2023. I keep running into a problem with After Effects, on both 2D and 3D projects, where the Active Camera (for 3D) and/or the Preview window won't update with the timeline. It won't even try to render when I skip around on the timeline, and if I try to preview the clip it will just stay static. I've tried the standard troubleshooting methods, all except fully uninstalling AE 2023 and reinstalling it. I even tried duplicating the comp, creating a new comp and copying assets over, and more - since that's been my workaround thusfar for the past few days. When I tried copying the assets over to a new comp, everything was working great, and then I nudged the timeline and everything froze up on the Preview winodw once more.  One of two things is happening:Either the pre

Trying to render a group of comps at the same time. Selecting multiple and using Composition>Add to Render Queue then Render fails with "directory originally specified no longer exists". If I click the Output To name and hit enter or click save (without actually changing anyting) for each comp in the queue, it will render them all. 

Hello, I'm hoping someone could help with a mismatching colour issue in After Effects. Please take a look at the attached screenshot. Basically, the blue background of the imported/embedded video doesn't match the blue background of the PSD in the background. When I screenshot the original video and copy/paste that screenshot into the PSD, the blue matches. It only doesn't match when the video is imported into After Effects. Because the video is compressed, the background isn't one solid blue. The PSD in the background uses a "patchwork" of the blue background from a screenshot of the video. Thanks in advance!

Running CC, reinstalling some apps after a break in versions. Last version I ran was 2022. I added AE 2025, updated 2022 and set it to import old preferences. Pshop, Premiere, etc all run fine. After Effects (both versions) give me this (w attached image): After Effects error Code 35536...  ...\webm.exe timed out I assume its a driver error of some sort, and has to do with MediaCore, but I need to get these comps going and have had no luck fixing it. Any help would not only be appreciated but would be a major life saver.Thanks!

Color Management Issue Between Premiere Pro and After Effects Hi everyone! I’m having trouble with color management when transferring a take from Adobe Premiere Pro to After Effects, and I hope someone can help me. The footage was recorded in HDR, and when I import the video into Premiere, it automatically adopts the Rec.2100 PQ configuration.In Premiere, I adjust the timeline color space to Rec.709, which gives me good color results.The issue arises when I send this take to After Effects. The colors change completely and become grayish.In After Effects, when I access the color management settings, the only available option is Rec.709 PQ. However, selecting this option makes the colors appear extremely blown out and oversaturated. Does anyone know how I can fix this color issue between the two programs and make After Effects properly match the adjusted Rec.709 colors? Thanks in advance for any tips or guidance!

1. Simply create a new project,new comp,and then new solid layter.2. give BCC Excluded Text to the layer.3.click FXbroswer to select a preset, and click apply to go back AE.4. click play to previews. I go below message after a period of waiting.5. This does not happen on AE 2024.Is there any change on AE2025?

Have a problem when open AE project with mp4 video - it is shown with incorrect size (1088 x 1920 instead of 1080 x 1920). Also it looks 4 times smaller than it has to be and the rest of it's area filled with strange lines (on the screenshot). It happens on laptop Asus ROG Strix G18 laptop. On another Device (PC) where this AE project was created it is shown fine. I always have to convert MP4 files to MOV and then everything is ok. Need help.

Hi how are things? I am having a very strange problem with After effects, I cannot enter my project and I get this error, I did not find current solutions, all the information is old and useless, please I need to fix my work

After switching to the newest version of AE the program was set to Chinese. I couldnt find any similiar issues online. here's what i tried: - Changing language in the code/config. It was set to english even tho the program was in chinese.- reinstaling, dind't help-  reinstaling on different drive, also nothing.I even tried installing After effects Beta, which was also in chinese, makes me think its not only AE issue. Help please!

Hey guys, I've got this problem where AE crashes randomly during renders, never during editing or launch just renders. I've had this problem since late AE 24 and have since upgraded to AE 25 and the error persists. I've gotten 2 error codes during this attached below.Ive tried reinstalling, removing caches, rendering in media encoder (still crashes), resetting preferences, changing render outputs, deleting a majority of layers, changing graphics drivers from Nvidia game to creative and back to game. Ive got no clue on how to fix thisOnly plugin i use is Geolayers for work.I have a small solution of rendering in MOV and stopping and restarting the renders at random points but this is obviously very inefficient with long renders and stops me from actually working as i can no longer render overnight or so on (it can also still crash during this and many render restarts are required). Sometimes while doing this it seems as if it gets on a roll and can render for a while but this is sporadi

I've been having a problem where the function that unpauses the video with the space bar stops working randomlyI saw that a lot of people have the same problem and that they fixed it by changing audio preferences, however, when I try to edit any preferences it crashes the program and the preference changes never saveClosing and restarting the program every 10 minutes or so to get the space bar to work just isn't gonna work if I want to get the job done. How can I fix this?
