Hello, I'm trying to open Duik Angela in After Effects but it tell me that it's impossible :"unable to execute the script at line 20042" and tell me to use getAppTheme, getUseReducedContrast and getAlloedAppTheme. But i don't know what that mean. I tried on a past version of after effect it's also not working and tried to update my Duik Angela script but the problem still the same.  Could someone help me fix this error ?  (Sorry if my english is bad) Thanks,Célia

After Effects error: Could not launch Adobe Analysis Server. (515) ( 25::101 ) I'm running AE 24.6.4 on a M2 Ultra Mac Studio (full specs below). When I apply 3D Camera Tracker to a layer i'm presented with the above error message. I encounter the same error message in AE 23.6.9. This error message has also appeared when trying to run warp stabilizer. Steps i've taken:- I've purged all cache- opened AE 2024 in safe mode- in safe mode with 3rd party plug-ins disabled- i've moved all .pref and .txt files from the prefrences folder to my desktop so that AE will create new preferences. All of these steps continue to give me back the same error message. I'm running a whole suite of 3rd party plug ins, all the red giant plugs, most of the video copilot plugs, Re vision, and a handful from AE scripts. Sapphire is installed but not active at the moment. All plug ins are paid for and legit licenses. If anyone has some insight it would be greatly appreciated. Specs:Mac S

Artefacts appears when reading and exporting sony mxf files in version 25.0.1It appears only with long-gop mxf files, not in all-i mxf files .The problem is known since version 24.2 (24.3?), version 25 is not resolving the problem. There were problems with mxf files in the same version of Adobe Premiere , but version 25 correct them. I'm surprise to see there are still the problem AE version 25.

Hey - long time troubleshooter first time poster -  1. Version of the app: 25.0.1 (Build 2)2. Platform and OS version:MacOS 14.4.1 (23E224)3. Basic steps to recreate the problem:When I try to click and drag to create a shape layer, it immediately creates a (invisible) shape layer in my comp. It doesn't let me drag out the shape. Same thing is happening with my pen tool - when I click to create a point, it creates an invisible shape layer.4. Expected Result vs. ActualFor the shape layer it should allow me to drag out a rectangle, but it creates a shape layer immediately. For the pen tool, it should create a point. Danny

I am having this annoying problem where everytime I save a file and create a new folder in the save as dialog after effects crashes.unistalled all plugins, I run adode cc cleaner deleting everything. what I can dothis thing is  annoying please help

i, Im having trouble exporting and rendering with transparency, I did it as I always do, with QuickTime in Animation RGB+Alpha, but it's not working, i've tried AppleRes4444 i've tried GoPro12 +Alpha, nothing works!When I try to open it with VLC it either doesnt show or the colors are completely glitched and off, when i send it to iphone it doesnt open the file.Can someone help with this? This is how it looks when i see it in VLC, but It doesnt open in Iphone Quicktime

Hi wonderful people,  My after effects keep crashing when opening a project. The crash Alert gives a different cause every time, so the part below the purple lines (see image) changes. I have try uninstalling AE, scripts, plugins, and fonts. I also asked my direct community and I notice more people has this issue, but no solution so far.  It occurs to me that this ONLY happens when I open a project by double clicking on the file.aep, instead of opening the program after effect first and then select File -> open project, or dragging into a new composition. However, its an habit, so i would love to have this issue resolve.  

Well, when i did my edit in After Effects, i was editing in "Mercury Playback Engine Software Only", so when i realized that i was going to render my project with Software, i've changed my settings to "Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA)". Then my entire project has beeing colorshifting to a overexposure kinda thing.  I've tried to change NVIDIA settings and some other solutions that i've found on the Adobe Community. But nothing seems to resolve.I need some help with that because my 15 minutes render, are taking like, 2h30min.

While using Premier I used "Replace with After Effects Composition" on a text layer and every lowercase "u", specifically in the Calibri Bold font, was replaced with Times New Roman when it opened in Ae. When I highlight the letter and/or the entire box of text and try to change it back to Calibri Bold manually within After Effects it does nothing. I am able to change the letter to seemingly every other font including Calibri Regular, just not Calibri Bold, it simply does nothing.After Effects 2025 (& Premier Pro 2025)Windows 11

When renaming an Expression Control effect, an expression using the effect as a variable will not update to reflect the name change when the renamed effect is in an if...else statement AND the particular condition that contains the effect is not currently true. For example: 1. Create a layer in a comp.2. Create two Slider effects in the layer ("Slider_1" & "Slider_2").3. Create a simple expression in Slider_1 that references Slider_2 as a variable, such as: if (0 > 1) { n = 333 } else if (1 == 0) { n = effect("Slider_2")("Slider"); } else { n = 888 } n If I rename "Slider_2", the expression will not update the slider name.However, if I change the condition to true instead of false:  } else if (2 > 1) { ​ n = effect("Slider_2")("Slider"); } the slider WILL update the name correctly. Why won't the name update?Is this a bug? AFX v 24.1.0 - b78Windows 10Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045

When I have Caps Lock active to prevent Ae from rendering while working, Ae forgets that it is pressed when switching Comps.Please make it work again (or bring another solution to stop rendering e.g. while copying/pasting expressions or keyframes).

I just don't know what's going on, it seems it's something with some missing files, but I really don't know what's happening, it just won't load, it just crashes 

Just curious if anyone has ever encountered this: you plug in headphones to your macbook m4 and you can hear internet audio and Adobe Premiere audio through your headphones but when you go into After Effects you can hear the sound playing through the computer speakers and not the headphones while all other audio goes through headphones. Just me? After Effects 25.0.1 (Build 2), Mac OS Sequoia 15.1.1yes ive definitely done a restart and shut down. this has persisted for a few days now. not sure when the issue started but couldnt have been that long ago since I recently bought this m4 macbook maybe 2 weeks ago

My project freezes everytime I try to render in v25. Opening the same project in v24 works no problem. Is this a known issue with an update coming to fix it?

I'm using AE 2024 on Windows, and this bug has affected two of my files. I've tried changing the video rendering and effects, clearing the cache, and using hardware acceleration. I have also redownloaded everything and tested whether it was my plugins, yet it still happens. I am unable to go to another file because it crashes. I also am not able to close it regularly since it gives me a white screen.

Hello there.I faced an issue recently while trying to collect my AE project. I try that with AE 2024 and also AE 2025. but in both versions I've got this error:

I was doing some compositing and wanted to scrub through a cached shot while the grid was enabled to see some alignments. I noticed that the whole application stutterd and only updated at about 5fps.  It improves if you zoom the viewer to fit, but zooming to 200% is terrible.   I think it's really concerning that a simple grid overlay causes such issues and I hope this can be adressed very soon.   Specs: Win11 R9 5950x / 128GB / RTX3090 566.14 studio driver 4K Sony Footage XAVC MXF 4K 25p comp cached Grid enabled Viewer zoom 200% AE 24.5 & AE 25.2.0b24 beta (slightly faster but still issue in beta)  

Hello, I'm using the latest version of After Effects 2025 (Windows 11, 64 bit). I'm using essential graphics to create a faux coin 3D spin controlled by a slider connected to the essential graphics. When I duplicate the layer (the coin comp) in the main composition and animate the essential property "slider" of the individual instances, they do not follow the values of the keyframes properly, the coins make random movements. I know it is a bug because when I create new layers or change the label color, the animations of the coins change randomly. If you watch the ReportError.gif you will find that random transformation when the coins should be still. In the Screen.png you will notice that all the properties have the same values but in the viewer, you see the wrong movement. This is not the first time this bug has happened to me, essential graphics seem to not work properly with a lot of instances. Any solution?

Hello,I’m having a problem with Adobe After Effects. The application suddenly stops on the "Initializing Required Components" screen. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:Fully uninstalled and reinstalled the app.Installed two older versions of After Effects.Tried almost every solution I could find online.Unfortunately, none of these steps worked, and the issue persists. However, I noticed that when I created a new user account on my PC and logged in, After Effects worked fine.I would appreciate any help to resolve this issue on my main user account.Thank you!
