After Effects

When i scrub through timeline to preview the mask and original video dont move or have any issues, but when i actually preview (click space) or export it with media encoder the mask or the orignal video moves at random times. neither the positions or scales are different or keyed in a way to cause this to happen, this also happens with an MP4 of glassses i have tracked to the persons face and it is out of position when i preview (click space) but not when i scrub through, pls help thanks ❤️ vidoe reference included

I've just updated both my after effects program( 23.3) and media encoder(23.2.1) to the newest versions. I have a Mac laptop running the newest version of OS MontereyI'm working with my project file saved to my MAC and my footage saved to my G Drive. Everything is linked up just fine and I haven't moved any folders around, whenever I open after effects the project files are linked and working fine however when I send my composition to media encoder to export it the video that comes out of it is showing the colored bars instead of my footage assumably showing that the files are unlinked for some reason.Similarly, when I try to render out directly from after effects I get an error saying "error accessing drive. the file may be damaged or corrupted(-1610153457)" and the program refused to render. This makes no sense to me because when I render from media encoder it exports to the drive just fine, (except of course the footage is unlinked)So I have no idea what to do, I really would like t

Recently I have few clips when i imported to after effects it will trun to a green screen. Some footage glitches the green. Other computer those footages was fine. 

I am about to lose my favorite client that I do promotional videos for. I have been working all night in After Effects, and every 20-30 minutes of working or so, the program grays out, and crashes. I've set alarms to remind myself to save every 3 minutes to mitigate the issue, but at this point it's a lost cause. I'm so tired and sick of crying, this is an anxiety nightmare and I'm facing a loss I can't afford. Of course, Adobe will never face consequences for releasing non-funcitonal software, but is there a way I can personally seek compensation for lost business? I pay for an expensive service that Adobe is inarguably not delivering.  There's nothing consistent that causes this to happen. Sometimes I'm editing masks, sometimes lumetri color, arranging layers, editing settings, moving positions and scaling, editing velocity maps, and changing tabs have all caused After Effects to crash. I'm running a 2-year old system that LITERALLY NEVER had a non-adobe program c

Guys I feel I encounter some memory problems:My script that does batch rendering by loading some footage and sending it to builtin ae render queue and then deleting the footage and uploading new one is taking progressively more and more time. How to deal with this?Render time for first video is 30minsfor the second 40mins, for 3rd 50min and ao on. But the template is always the same 

Hola el motivo de esta publicación es para que me orienten en un error o falla que tengo con after effects. Constantemente exporto material en formato transparente ya se gc, material grafico etc... y en formato targa o mov, el punto es que edito en dos computadores y en uno todo bien pero en el otro (macbook), al sacar material en formato secuencia targa viene con fondo cuando debiese ser trasparente, situación que no se da en mi otro computador he buscado soluciones pero no he llegado a nada.

Since I bought a new MacBook (M1 Max 32gb) working with Aftereffects is just annoying. Everything is super bumpy and since today I can only play 5 frames in the preview. I opened a project that was running ok on my MacBook from 2016 and wanted to continue working on it - but unfortunately nothing works now.This problem has been discussed in the forums several times and the new update 23.3 was pointed out, which should solve the problem. I have made the update - unfortunately, there was no improvement and the problem still occurs... I now had to downgrade to version 21.1.1 so that I can continue to work. It runs now, but still worse than on my Macbook from 2016!!! I am really disappointed.mymac: m1max, 32gb, ventura, aftereffects 23.3 

Hi, Cince cc 2023, I'm a bit confused with AE Param update when changing name. When I use the ParamSuite like in  this exemple, the UI is slower than in cc2022 to be responsvive (in AE, not premiere)  strcpy(param_copy[param_index].name, newNameAc); ERR(suites.ParamUtilsSuite3()->PF_UpdateParamUI(in_data->effect_ref, param_index, &param_copy[param_index])); the Alternative with AEGP works and is more responstive, but the modification is added to the undo list of the user.Is there an alternative to be as fast as in CC2022 (and earlier) with the paramUtilSuite, or is there a solution.with AEGP without adding the modification to the undo list ? thanks.tested on:-AE 23.0,23.1,23.2.1 and 2023.3.-windows 10/11 and macos 12-to reproduce: drag a  slider (or other parameter) with a  name changed during PF_Cmd_UPDATE_PARAMS_UI cmd

I produce a lot of infographic objects in Illustrator, that I later on use for animations in After Effects.  I do have a workflow issue that is when I drag my vector objects from AI to Library, I always name. But when I drag them in to AE, these names are always overwritten with the generic name "Artwork 1" (see attached images). Am I doing something wrong, or is it something I can address?

I just updated AE to 17.1.1 and now can't import, export or render to my computer. If I click on the file name to choose a new name and location, nothing happens. If I click import, nothing happens. I was recently given a new personal account by work.

Hi everyone,I'm currently working on a project in After Effects and I've encountered an issue with a solid that I've masked. I set the solid to white and then applied a mask to it, but I'm noticing that some parts of the solid appear transparent.I've attached a screenshot of the problem below for reference. As you can see, there are some areas of the solid that appear transparent, even though they should be white.I'm not sure what's causing this issue or how to fix it. Has anyone else encountered this problem before? If so, could you please provide some guidance on how to resolve it?Here are some additional details that might be helpful:I'm using After Effects version 23.3.I'm on a Macbook Pro 2018 with an Intel processor.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Issue:Temporaitly, I am working on an M1 iMac (my previous setup is a 2017 iMac). No matter what I do, I can only get After Effects 2023 (version 23.3.0) to ram preview 5 frames on my M1 iMac (using OS Ventura 13.3.1). Attemps to solve the issue (that did not work):-Lowered the preview resolution to quarter.-Lowered preview resulution to render every 10 pixels.-Lowered preview resolution to render every 99 pixels.-Changed resolution of comp to 540 x 540-Removed EVERYTHING from the comp except a solid color layer.-Imported my existing AE project into a new AE project. Additional info:-No third party plugins-AE 2023 was freshly installed on machine-Absolutely NO ISSUES have come up while working on my old iMac. The issues only occured the moment I started using the iMac M1.Summary:It seems I am not the only one with this issue as I have seen many posts about this as well and many replies assuring users the problem has been fixed. The problem has not been fixed.

1. After Effects Version 23.1.0 (Build 83) / Media Encoder Version 23.2.1 (Build 2)2. macOS Monterey version 12.6, Mac Studio 20223/4. I'm trying to export some short, simple animations with transparency, but something about the animation compression is severely broken. The Format is Quicktime, codec is animation, max render depth, 8-bpc + alpha, max render quality. It exports as a file unrecognizable to QuickTime, and when opening it in VLC it's off color and choppy (gif and exported video attached). Other video codecs (Apple ProRes 422 and the like) seem to work just fine, but I want to export lossless movs.

Hey guys I'm pretty new to AE and I've had this issue 3 times now. I'm doing a pretty simple edit where I've clipped out the beats to my song and I'm applying clips to the times right now. Suddenly, I'll go back to play it and some of my source material will play over all my clips. There is no overlay though. There's no 2 clips overlapping or anything like that, there's just random footage. I've even hidden the footage for every single layer I have and it still shows. I've even made it so to where there are no clips at all, just the audio and it will still show. I have no idea what I did wrong or what I should do to fix this but this the 3rd time it's happened to me and it's incredibly discouraging to see all my work go to waste. (Photos included show all of my layers and show that the eye is off for all of them and show my screen still playing some random clip regardless.)

I got an error called "the importer reported a generic error" from premiere, that only transfers few clips to after effects,I want to edit a sequence of like 10 seconds? into after effects. The clips doesn't have any effects or so.Aspects: Ryzen 9 3900x, rtx2070 super gigabyte 8 gb, 64 ram 

Hey all -- I can't seem to run after fx because I keep getting this error. I just bought a new $4000 PC so it should be able to run it easily, but I can't seem to get around this or find any help on it... any ideas? I'm gonna have a meltdown LMAO After Effects Warning: Unknown ExceptionError report for "AfterFX.exe"  

Today I tried to open the "hands on tutorials" and adobe after effects (AE) crashed. It didn't crash for keyframe animation, but it did crash for the visual effects one. And I'm on the screen that initially loads when opening AE. It definitely isn't due to my computer being too slow. I initially thought it was due to some cache problem since I did get a space warning, but I cleared cache and changed location. After testing again, keyframe still loads, but VFX doesn't. 

I recently updated to v23.3 and opened the app to this error "Sorry, an error occurred" message. I have no indication of what has happened. I've reverted back to previous versions and still the same error. Uninstalling, restarting my computer and logging out of CC has no effect on this issue. I've removed all third party plugins to see if that helped and nothing. Any feedback or help would be appreciated

When I isntall trapcode 16 or lower in after effect 2023 it works great, but new version of trapcode such as "red giant trapcode 2023" gives me this error "could not find main entry point for particular.aex 48::72"I have been tring solutions such as update Opencl.dll etc "did not work with me Any idea ?cheersSincerely Hüseyin DurakKibrit Creative SolutionsCloud Render Farm

Every time I try to export a video without first clicking on the blue text to specify output, I get the "the directory specified by the output module" message. Several versions ago I had it nicely set up so all renders would export to a particular folder. After a version upgrade I started to get this message. Is it at all possible to set a default output directory now?

I've been wrestling with this problem for a long while now. I've searched for solutions but nothing that that seems to describe what I'm experiencing. Basically my stage will stop updating. It will show the cached frame but if I manipulate any layer it doesn't update and if I scrub the timeline it goes black. I usually have to restart AE in order to fix it although sometimes it will resolve on its own. Any one have any idea wth is going on? Specs: MPB '19 running Ventura 13.2.1 and AE 23.2.1 (Build 3)

Seit einigen Monaten beobachte ich schon das Problem, dass gewisse Funktionen der Templates auf meinem Mac bei Premiere Pro (23.2.0) funktionieren, auf den Windows-Computern der KollegInnen jedoch nicht. Mittlerweile ist klar: Es handelt sich ausschließlich um Befehle, die über das Dropdown-Menü gesteuert werden. Wird z.B. die Deckkraft zweier Ebenen mit der Dropdown-Menüsteuerung über folgende Expression verknüpft if (thisComp.layer("Einstellungsebene").effect("Effekt")("Menü")==1) {t=100;} else {t=0;} t;bzw.if (thisComp.layer("Einstellungsebene").effect("Effekt")("Menü")==2) {t=100;} else {t=0;} t; sind beide(!) Ebenen in Premiere Pro (Windows) sichtbar, vollkommen egal, welche Nummer des Dropdown-Menüs man im Template au

Issue: RGBA *.mov rendered motion blur including compositon bg color.Versions: AE 23.2.1, MacOS 12.3.1Steps to reproduce: Make an animatin in a precomp. Place precomp in main comp. Activate "motion blur" for precomp layer. Render "logo reveal.mov" RGBA . AE main comp had a green background color, so i can see the animation. Imported "logo reveal.mov" in PR. Animation has green gradient around the blury edges. I like to pop out my timeline in AFX, to have it side by side with my comp viewer as i have an ultrawide monitor.  I normally just draw this window out to be roughly half of the screen.This is great asd i can use the ~ key to expand and solo either my comp viewer, and/or my layers, and it's brilliant.The undocked panel that After Effects creates though, doesn't work with the PowerToys FancyZones feature.  When i'm using Windows Powertoys to snap the main AFX window to half of the screen, it works fine.  However, the other UI window with the timeline cannot be snapped.  At first I thought this was an issue with PowerToy's FancyZones, but it was updated to allow 'child window snapping'.  This works really well with Cinema4D for example, where I can snap the picture viewer into a zone that is separate from the main program.Seems like a bug with AFX?
