After Effects

Hi, I made this kind of animation for a company : https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vM9NglbeT80I did it with a classic shape animation and a track matte showing/hiding blue and white text.Now the company wants me to produce a lot of  animations like this. I would like to automatize the production, not to adjust each time every shapes under the text... tedious work 😕😕I can't use any plugin, as the clients asked me. Anybody has an idea on the way to achieve this ? I tested multiple ways to animate text boxes but no way, for now I couldn't achieve this effect... TIA ! 

Hi,I opened after effects after not using it for a few weeks and my screen seems to be in full screen but some of it is off the screen.I am using a Macbook and can't find a keyboard shortcut to allow me to come out of the full screen.Any help would be appreciated..Thanks Rebecca

Seeking solutions for a puzzling Duik Angela rigging anomaly in After Effects (v25.3.1, Duik v17.1.20)! I've set up a character rig, with the torso parts neatly organized in a precomp. Upon animating the chest controller, a transparent line mysteriously appears in the artwork. The line is still visible once the animation is exported. It's worth noting that I extended the duration of all layers/comps/precomps after the initial rigging process. If you've encountered or resolved a similar issue, your insights would be invaluable – not just for me, but potentially for others facing similar issues. 

When I preview I have it set as 'quarter', (this is also the same in the preview panel), but when i start previewing it goes to full, and makes it difficult to watch as it takes a considerable amount of time to render in real-time at 'full' quality. I'm not sure why it's doing this.

Is there any update on that? I have the same problem with media being transcoded by Avid (mxf prores 4444 and DNxHR LB). Premiere 25.3

Hi, I'm having a problem with After Effects.When I open the program and click on my project, it simply closes. How can I fix this?

Everytime I replace with after effects composition from Priemere pro, the image is cropped out in AE. Please how do I fix this??

i have a video of an animal recorded at night by a security camera. the quality is very fuzzy or grainy or whatever the word should be. what are the steps to improve the quality to see it at least a bit more clearly and defined? youtube link to it 

It won't let me change anything. It worked perfectly fine before but now it wont work? I have drop shadow and glow as effects. They have worked before, did they do something?

Hello all,I'm trying to create a script or expression that scans multiple comps and text layers, detects a specified word or phrase, and applies formatting (e.g. bold or faux bold) only to that part of the text wherever it occurs.For example, I have several comps with similar content but different aspect ratios. Each comp contains 3 or 4 text layers. Let's say one of the layers contains the sentence:"Your payment terminal 20% OFF right now!"(using Inter Regular, size 28)Instead of manually opening each comp, finding "20% OFF", and applying Inter Bold or faux bold, is there a way to automate this process?Thanks in advance!

I'm kind of new to After Effects, but I've written an expression or two and used a null object here or there. I'm expecting this would require one or both of those, if it is even possible. I want to create the effect of a moving spotlight. I have a graphic of a spotlight and an adjustment layer with cc spotlight applied. I can do this manually, but there is a lag between the rotation of the spotlight and that "light" from cc spotlight, so I'm wondering if linking them somehow is possible and if it would fix it.  I've attached a GIF to show what I'm trying to do. Anybody know how to make this work? I'm open to other solutions as well. 

Hi everyone, I have a quick question that I hope someone could help me shed some light on:I want to export a series of VFX comps for grading. I would like to export my full image, but with an embedded alpha channel. So the image has an alpha channel, but if I reimport it and switch the Alpha off the entire image reappears.Is there any way to do this in AE? In Nuke and Fusion it doesnt seem to be a problem, but I cant seem to find a way to do it in AE.Hope you have an idea ❤️

Hi, i`m trying to track camera but it got stuck on Solving Camera. It`s 12 seconds video, .mpeg. I`m using AE CC 2018. It took a lot of time for background analyze but now it stuck in solving. aproxx 10-15 minutes already it says Solving Camera. And I can`t find how to enable the percentage of progress of tracking. My pc; Ram - 16gb, video: 2gb, proc: intel i7. 2.4 Ghz. What can I do?

Hi! I was trying to do a Bevel Emboss coupled with Time Displacement effect to get that twisty animation effect, trouble is after i've turned the layer 3D and rotate it at the Y axis this fuzzy outline (on the stroke) appeared and i cannot get rid of it , this is the first time i've encountered this issue and not really sure how to fix it. My renderer is definately set to Advanced 3D etc, i've turned off all shadows and light because i only wanted a flat vector look. As you can see from the screenshot in Custom View 2 it's present on the other 2 shapes but didn't appear until i set some animation key frames. It's definately in the test mp4 i rendered out in case it's just a preview glitch, any ideas? Thank you.

I'm trying to learn After Effects; after Animate screwed up and deleted my save file, I want to focus on something else, but I literally can't use their tutorials. I just want to know how to remove an effect from the timeline after a certain point (Like after five seconds, the effect disappears.) But I can't find anyone explaining it online, other than how to remove the effect from the entire timeline itself, which isn't what I want to do. I assume the answer is so incredibly simple that it's not found online, so I wanted to look at one of the tutorials and find the answer without asking people a potentially stupid question. Now I find out that the in-app tutorial button is just a bad prank. Because it does literally nothing. I restarted the app and my computer multiple times, and it just won't load anything. I'm just flabbergasted that every single Adobe product is having this many issues, like.. really? The in-app tutorials don't even work? Why is the option even there? I have n

I want this ball have a motion behind the cup. For that I use inverted matte. When ball cross cup handle, only portion of the ball behind the cup handle should be invisible & other portion should be visible. How it can be done? video is uploaded as well.    

I'm using AE 2025We did the testing and got the texture and animation to appear with FBX files.But when I bring new 3D models or have the working model brought into a new comp, the animation drop-down in the Animation Options is gone.  I'm a bit clueless if it's a bug, a setting in the comps, or something specific I need to do beforehand. It's getting frustrating that the animation options exist in one comp and not in others. We did update the 3D Object's texture, but I feel like that shouldn't have caused any issues on the animation side

Hi everyone!I'm new to After Effects, and I'm putting together a project that consists of putting together a sequence of 3D renders (JPEGs) to create an animation. We also used clipping channels and some 3D passes. For each rendered sequence, we have the same amount of images, what changes is just the initial number in the file name, example:01.RGB_color.0000 to 0071, 01.Alpha.0001 to 0071 and so on, and in the next sequence, we have the same filenames, just changing to 02.RGB_color.0000, 02.Alpha.0000...The project with the files "01.xxx" is ready. My doubt is:Is it possible to automatically replace files starting with 01 in the project with files starting with 02 that are in another folder? And then change it to 03, 04, etc...The current project has a total of 1225 images.I will be grateful for any help and clarification

Hi,I'm a beginner to After Effect expressions. I'm creating a end creadit MOGRT for my team. There are total 16 text layers, named as "Title", "Name", Title 1" "Name 1" etc. and controled by 8 checkboxes, named as "Group 1", "Group 2" etc. two layers per checkbox. The vertical gap between "Title" layers and "Name"  layers should be 15 pixels, and 40 between groups. If one of the groups is unchecked the visible groups will move up. All the stacked visible groups should be vertically centred in the comp. I tested with 6 layers. Except to keep the gap remain as I asked for after adding multiple lines in "Name" layer, everything works well with the expression generated by Chatgpt.  I would be super grateful if someone could let me know which part has gone wrong in the below expression script, and how to fix it.
