Is there an alternative that is basically adobe animate but free with all its things from animate like symbols, classic tweens, etc? And what is that software called?
When installing Adobe Animate 24.0.12 from the Creative Cloud Desktop application, the following popup appears: I’m assuming I’m receiving this because I’ve previously installed Premiere 26.0.1, which installs Media Encoder 26.0. If I click Cancel on the above popup, Animate proceeds to install just fine. Likewise, if I open Animate, it doesn’t complain about the version of Media Encoder. If I actually launch Adobe Animate, create a new project, and then click File > Export > Export Video/Media, and click Export using the default settings, Media Encoder 26.0 fires up and proceeds to export the file no problem. So… what’s the purpose of this popup in the Creative Cloud Desktop application when installing Animate 24.0.12? It seems to imply that Media Encoder 26.0 isn’t compatible with Media Encoder, but it also doesn’t explicitly say that, and, in testing, appears to work just fine.
When I open the FLA file again, the timeline displays: "Unable to load scene into memory"So, why did my file become corrupted for no apparent reason?
I was wondering if there’s a way for me to sync my work from my school pc with my home computer. I'm currently working on a pc that's connected to a tablet. Whatever I draw on the tablet appears on the pc. However, none of the files I save on the monitor show up when I open adobe animate on my home computer. I heard about saving it in the creative cloud, but when I tried exploring this option, it seemed it was not supported for specifically ‘Adobe animate,’ but was available for others like ‘Adobe Photoshop.’
I installed Animate CC 2017 and i tried to open it and it always keeps crashing. I moved on from Flash and i wanted to try Animate CC because of the new features in it that flash doesnt have (like parenting, frame picker, a native camera and others). To help here are the specs of my laptop:Model: Positivo Motion C464F (Brazil) RAM: 4GB Storage: 64GB (57GB usable, eMMC type)It always keeps crashing at the “Loading Document Templates” part, even if i want to open a simple FLA (that i think usually skips the start screen)can anyone help?Should i switch back to Flash?
Hello, I’m having a color sampling workflow issue in Adobe Animate 23.0.1 (Mac) and I’m trying to confirm whether this is a bug or a removed feature. In older versions of Animate, I used the following workflow: Select a filled shape with the Selection Tool Press and hold on the Fill Color swatch in the Tools panel Drag the cursor over another shape (even a gradient fill) Release on a specific pixel inside the gradient The originally selected shape would take that single sampled flat color (not the whole gradient) This worked like a “drag eyedropper from color well” behavior and was very fast for picking intermediate colors inside gradients.❌ Current Behavior in Animate 23.0.1Now when I try the same workflow: Dragging from the Fill Color swatch does not sample color Instead, the object under the cursor becomes selected I lose the original selection No color sampling happens Additional notes: Object Drawing Mode is OFF Shapes are merge shapes (not objects/symbols) Worksp
I am writing to express my deep frustration regarding the recently announced discontinuation of Adobe Animate. While I understand that technology evolves and apps reach their end of life, the decision to cut off access to existing FLA and XFL files starting March 1, 2027, is absolutely unacceptable.Discontinuing technical support is one thing, but rendering our original project files inaccessible is a direct blow to creators. For years, we have invested time, effort, and subscription fees into building our portfolios and professional projects within your ecosystem. To suddenly tell us we will lose access to our own work unless we export it to flattened formats like MP4 or SVG is, frankly, like being fired without being allowed to take our personal belongings.Even if you stop selling or updating the software, users should still be able to open and edit their existing files through a legacy version of the app. Forcing a complete lockout of our source data is a violation of the trust betw
Wondering if there is a 2d animation software that you can just stay forever and is beginner friendly. Any suggestions? Can you also add a tutorial for your suggestions?
Hello, does anybody know how to make a Button that redirects to a link in actionscript 3.0 (adobe animate 2024). Yeah this is a very short question. -Quinn <3
I’ve been trying to find a legitimate installer for animate cc 2018, but the ProToolDesign app doesn’t link me to the installer anymore and instead I keep getting link to that one adobe page about installing older apps, is installing any older versions other than the last 2 is now officially impossible?
For whatever reason if i use the paint brush tool 99% of the time the paint bucket tool cant not fill, this does not happen with the regular brush tool or the pencil tool, making the paint brush tool useless for animating people or shapes, even if the lines are cleary intersecting, the section will not fill. Am im missing something here? Im using windows 10 and latest version of adobe animate downloaded from a 20 dollar adobe cloud subscription.[Moved from non-technical Lounge Forum to specific Program forum... I am trying to use JSFL to adjust an instance's Advanced Color Mode (Alpha). My Action:I manually select a keyframe on the timeline, then in the Frame Properties panel, under "Color Effect" -> "Advanced", I adjust the Alpha value there. The Problem:I tried using getDocumentDOM().setInstanceAlpha(60), but this only adjusts the transparency in the "Object" tab, which is not what I want. I need to modify the Alpha property as seen in the "Frame" tab's Color Effect. I tried capturing the code from the History panel, but it generated getDocumentDOM().setElementProperty(%S, %S), which throws an "Argument is invalid" error when played back. I also tried getDocumentDOM().setElementProperty("alpha", 50), but it had no effect.I have checked the official tutorials but couldn't find the correct property names for this specific panel. My Question:Could any experts tell me the correct JSFL syntax to adjust the Alpha transparency within the "Frame" (Color Effect) panel?
My animation works perfectly in Animate, but when I export all my movie clips are stationarty....
On a mac air 22; I am having this strange issue where the rotation and the skew in the transform window always follow the same value. So if I rotate 10 degrees, the skew values also rotate to 10 on the x and ten on the y. If I do my rotation within the transform window and just scrub across it, it works, the skew values stay at 0. But the moment I try to do it on the stage the values just change with the rotation values.
I’m honestly stunned that Adobe is discontinuing Animate. In my line of work, it was the only authoring tool that truly let me combine code and animation into interactive media. If a real alternative existed, I would have moved on already but there hasn’t been one. Animate was the one piece of software that actually solved this problem, for me and for many others. That makes this decision hard to swallow as a business move. Still, the decision’s been made, and it’s unlikely to be reversed.Rive looks like it comes closest to what I need, and I plan to explore it. Does anyone know if Rive supports user code in a way similar to Animate? But here’s the bigger thought: if we can’t find a proper replacement… why don’t we build one?For HTML5, Animate was essentially an interface, an authoring environment that interpreted a visual timeline and published working code. There’s no law of physics that says this can’t be recreated. A modern web app could absolutely do the same job. CreateJS is still
I’ve read that after 2027 we’ll no longer be able to access our adobe files but does this mean the ones in the cloud, or will the files I have saved on my computer no longer open up? If so, how is that even legal? I paid for the software and now they can retroactively decide to confiscate everything i’ve ever created with it?
i know animate is paid, will it ever be free?
I just saw the email about how animate will be discontinued. This is very disappointing. Animate is the main reason I use adobe. What worries me most is how the email mentions losing access to my project files in 2027. Does this just mean files that are shared through creative cloud or will I actually be unable to access my animate project files? Most of what I do is centered around this application and most if not all my assets are in animate project files. Any clarification would be appreciated.
is there a way to force adobe animate to make ONLY integers of coordinates, in classic tween. I'm making pixel-art animations, and if the object is on a fractional coordinate, then it becomes blurry. (Snap to pixels doesn't help during classic animation). Please help. (sorry for the bad English, I used a translator)Here is the screen shot for the example: the bone is staying in fractional coordinate (3.14), and semi-transparent pixels appeared around the sprite.
a core pessimism (on my part) had been (joyfully) shaken. our community uproar had had, at least for now, an impact. hopefully, most if you have already digested the update, but read more from mike chambers https://www.techradar.com/pro/adobe-reverses-decision-to-discontinue-animate-apologizes-for-confusion-and-angst-within-the-community
Obviously i'm writing this under a burner account but since adobe animate was originally going to be discontinued, wouldn't be better to just remove the price tag and/or make the software open source instead of putting it in “maintenance mode”? If adobe was going to originally discontinue it, why not just let it be open source and let a different team maintain it and add new things and adobe themselves can just focus whatever they want to focus now that animate is off their hands
Hi there, Can you change the status of adobe animate to regular and maintenance mode in adobe animate for security safety and safe for adobe animate Thank you Kevin
Hi there please send a new notice to adobe animate customers Thank you Kevin
