My animation works perfectly in Animate, but when I export all my movie clips are stationarty....
On a mac air 22; I am having this strange issue where the rotation and the skew in the transform window always follow the same value. So if I rotate 10 degrees, the skew values also rotate to 10 on the x and ten on the y. If I do my rotation within the transform window and just scrub across it, it works, the skew values stay at 0. But the moment I try to do it on the stage the values just change with the rotation values.
I’m honestly stunned that Adobe is discontinuing Animate. In my line of work, it was the only authoring tool that truly let me combine code and animation into interactive media. If a real alternative existed, I would have moved on already but there hasn’t been one. Animate was the one piece of software that actually solved this problem, for me and for many others. That makes this decision hard to swallow as a business move. Still, the decision’s been made, and it’s unlikely to be reversed.Rive looks like it comes closest to what I need, and I plan to explore it. Does anyone know if Rive supports user code in a way similar to Animate? But here’s the bigger thought: if we can’t find a proper replacement… why don’t we build one?For HTML5, Animate was essentially an interface, an authoring environment that interpreted a visual timeline and published working code. There’s no law of physics that says this can’t be recreated. A modern web app could absolutely do the same job. CreateJS is still
I’ve read that after 2027 we’ll no longer be able to access our adobe files but does this mean the ones in the cloud, or will the files I have saved on my computer no longer open up? If so, how is that even legal? I paid for the software and now they can retroactively decide to confiscate everything i’ve ever created with it?
i know animate is paid, will it ever be free?
I just saw the email about how animate will be discontinued. This is very disappointing. Animate is the main reason I use adobe. What worries me most is how the email mentions losing access to my project files in 2027. Does this just mean files that are shared through creative cloud or will I actually be unable to access my animate project files? Most of what I do is centered around this application and most if not all my assets are in animate project files. Any clarification would be appreciated.
is there a way to force adobe animate to make ONLY integers of coordinates, in classic tween. I'm making pixel-art animations, and if the object is on a fractional coordinate, then it becomes blurry. (Snap to pixels doesn't help during classic animation). Please help. (sorry for the bad English, I used a translator)Here is the screen shot for the example: the bone is staying in fractional coordinate (3.14), and semi-transparent pixels appeared around the sprite.
a core pessimism (on my part) had been (joyfully) shaken. our community uproar had had, at least for now, an impact. hopefully, most if you have already digested the update, but read more from mike chambers https://www.techradar.com/pro/adobe-reverses-decision-to-discontinue-animate-apologizes-for-confusion-and-angst-within-the-community
Obviously i'm writing this under a burner account but since adobe animate was originally going to be discontinued, wouldn't be better to just remove the price tag and/or make the software open source instead of putting it in “maintenance mode”? If adobe was going to originally discontinue it, why not just let it be open source and let a different team maintain it and add new things and adobe themselves can just focus whatever they want to focus now that animate is off their hands
Hi there, Can you change the status of adobe animate to regular and maintenance mode in adobe animate for security safety and safe for adobe animate Thank you Kevin

There was recent news about the software developers’ wanting to discontinue the Adobe Animate App but there are a lot of people who don’t want the app discontinued.Would the software developers reconsider keeping the Adobe Animate app alive if enough people petition to have it continue? If not, I was hoping they could create a new app that has very similar functions to it.
I heard everything about the news about Adobe Animate getting discontinued, will I still be able to use Adobe Animate 2024 normally? Even without technical support or updates?

UPDATEYesterday, we shared an update with Adobe Animate customers on the future of Animate. What weshared did not meet our standards and caused a lot of confusion and angst. Please read this update that shares changes to our plans for Adobe Animate and its status and our commitments to ensuring that you always have access to your content.See this post with the latest update.Adobe Animate has been a product that has existed for over 25 years and has served its purpose well for creating, nurturing and developing the animation ecosystem. As technologies evolve, new platforms and paradigms have emerged that better serve the needs of the users. Acknowledging this change, we are planning to discontinue the sale of Adobe Animate effective March 1, 2026. Existing Animate users may continue to use the application. Support for enterprise customers will continue for three years, through March 1, 2029. For all other customers, support will continue for one year, through March 1, 2027.Customers w

I've payed this plan fair and square im still testing and updating some projects im worried
So, this morning I received a “bomb” in my email, Adobe Animate will be discontinued. My head runs fast and I’m trying to understand what can be the solution after this. First of all I ask Adobe, since we pay each month mainly for Adobe Animate, where can I download the full installer, even if it will not be updated anymore after 1st of march. Secondly I’m asking the community if some of you bumped into a good animation programs for html5 banner. Good I mean with masks filters and stuff, not the ease-in and opacity animation kind. Thirdly I’ve to say that Adobe is making a huge mistake. For what I know their program is quite unique and they’re tossing it for no reason at all. Thanks for who wanna participate to the discussion.

Hi everyone,I have a question regarding the Java runtime bundled with Adobe Animate. On all of my company’s machines, Adobe Animate installs its own Java Runtime Environment inside the application folder (e.g., *C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Animate 2024\jre*) and it appears to be Oracle Java 17. This has been confirmed by checking the internal JRE folder and by community reports indicating that Animate 2024 ships with a Java 17 runtime.Older versions reportedly included Oracle Java 11 as well.Because Oracle Java SE 17 requires a commercial license under Oracle’s current employee‑based licensing model, this represents a potential compliance and financial risk for companies that deploy Adobe Animate.I would like clarification from Adobe regarding the following:Does Adobe Animate officially distribute Oracle Java 17, and is it licensed for use by end customers under Adobe’s agreement with Oracle? Is the bundled JRE covered by Adobe’s licensing so that customers do not need a separate Oracl
I'm teaching young folk how to use Adobe Animate because despite what every one says it's better than most programs for animating. Yes, yes yes, Toon Boom is better you say, bla bla bla... not really. It's FAR more complicated.Animate? All you need to know is that all symbols have timelines and you can see how powerful it is. it's ONLY better (in some regards) because Adobe has done really nothing in years to promote, improve or fund Animate development. It's STILL a GREAT program even WITH the bugs. Is it dead?I hope not, at leadt I hope someone buys it and then redevelops it.Will Adobe keep updating it?I hope so.So what do you think?
