How to recreate such a terrible howlCan you please tell me what effects are used to make such sounds, this is the minimum information I need so I can recreate them.If you even know exactly how to recreate this, then tell me how please, I will be grateful
The center, low frequency surround. Left surround Right Surround arent having any sound coming out of it. What should I do? Thanks!
Forgive me if this has been discussed somewhere else or it's a setting I'm messing, but when changing an audio file in MacOS and then saving it (not creating something completely new), it changes both the 'Date Modified' and 'Date Created' dates to the current time, instead of just the Modified Date. I feel like this is either a bug, because other programs retain the Creation date, or it's a setting I'm missing in Preferences. Can someone assist?
My graphic UI display for Audition is lagging on playback but the audio sounds just fine. This just starting happening out of the blue--I don't have any FX running or anything CPU demanding at all, it's just a single track. I have a 2019 Macbook pro decked out with the best Apple could fit it with (i9, 32G RAM, etc.) Any suggestions would be appreciated. Hello there, I am using Audition to edit long files, sometimes of about an hour. There's not so much to edit on it so I've took a rather fast pace. I have waveform and spectral frequency displayed, and I use 2X time playback, while I'm editing the file.As I've acustomed to edit at this speed, Audition did not. The display isn't as smooth while scrolling, as I believe the spectral display takes a lot of power.I don't know if it's GPU or CPU power though. I have a RTX 2080 Super, and I wonder if I could take advantage of this GPU to enhance Audition performances in my particuliar usage. Thank you for your answers, and edit safely !
Hey there! I am wondering if anybody knows how Adobe encodes marker data into mp3 files. I used Python's Pydub libray to look at all the MP3 information of an MP3 file that has Adobe Audition markers, but I do not see the markers anywhere (see images below). My guess is the markers are compiled into the MP3 and are hidden so only Adobe products can acess them. Thanks!
Hey, I was hoping someone would be able to assist me with this one. I've gotten one of my actor's for a short film to record some audio of him laughing off of his phone. But for some reason it is heavily disorited and staticy. I took it into audition and premiere to try and fix it but there is nothing to be done to my knowledge. Would anyone be willing to supply some help with this one? Trying to do this without having to re-record audio. Audio is included in the post as well. Thanks again!
I'm sure there is a 'pan law' explination that I can't understand but why when I play stereo tone on a stereo track at -20 the level on the master is 3db lower at -23. The are no effects and the faders are at zero.
I hope someone could please help me understand something when denoising a recorded audio clipI have a ambient cell phone audio recording and there is a tremendous amout of heavy machinery and fans going which make it nearly impossible to hear anything else but when putting the recording through a denoising app and the speech is enhanced and most all of the loud noise is reduced there are voices that appear on the recording but very very distorted and echoey and underwater type sounding. My question is one are those voices being picked up from a far distance from the phone and when the noise is reduced the phone just so happened to pick it up In the distance? Cause when the recording is Denoised to full levels the voices become even more distorted and echoey. You are able to hear the phone being moved while its recording and from time to time hear the person holding the phone cough or say something which comes through as if there are closer than the voices that appear as in the distance
Over the last couple of months I’ve been experimenting with digitizing/ripping my vinyl albums collection…… exclusively rock and its genres. For this reason I am using a Behringer U-Phoria UMC202HD usb sound card and a Thorens MM-Flex Phono Preamp. The results have been really promising. I follow a standard effects and tools procedure, including Click/Pop Eliminator, DeClicker, DeClipper, Hard Limiter, Hiss Reduction, Noise Reduction, Stereo Expander, Normalize. It seems to be working well. Unfortunately, there is a major flaw with the drum set cymbals. They sound distorted, shineless and dry, with great hissing which is really annoying. I have tried to diminish this hissing effect by lowering the input signal from the card but still it won’t work. I would be grateful, if anyone could come up with an idea, because the overall try is rewarding and exceeds my expectations….. I submit a relative file.
Hi all. Hoping some x32/Audition folks can help me out here. First, my config. I'm using 16 in / 16 out. This is what the screen is supposed to look like according to the x32 docs: But this is what it looks like on my board:So the tabs at the top didn't match, but "card" seemed like the logical place to set up this routing since I didn't have a "home" like the docs did, so I tried it, and it seems to work great for recording. No issues getting a signal to Audition. However, when I attempt to play back the recorded tracks, I get nothing. I have the input/output set to the same channel, so Track 1's input is CH01 from the x32, and its output is CH01 to the x32. Is that the correct setup? When things are working properly, should I hear the track and see volume levels on CH01? Thanks so much for any insight!
I don't know if any of you have used Squadcast, which is a program for recording multitrack remote interviews in high quality 48 kHz/32-bit Floating Point .wav files on split tracks. We use it for a podcast. As "Director," and dilitannte sound editor, I am a silent guest: I listen in, muted, on one channel, while our Host and the Guest converse on split tracks. Ideally, I would be recording this in Audition at the same time, where I could watch the levels and adjust accordingly, but Squadcast strongly advises against this (I wouldn't know how anyway). When the session is finished, I download the .wav files, import them into Audition, and edit the narrative. I can make adjustments in levels, and even "de-clip," but I have had some very rude awakenings when I get these tracks into Audition. Even though, subjectively, they SOUNDED okay when I was just listening, we had one session where the host track came
any issues? only using adobe audio plugins included.
I have phone conversation records which the other side is barley can be heard.i've tried to improve the record by gaining the volume of other side using Audcity and with the help of "Automatic gain control" plugin, but it is still very hard to understand the other side sayings. Is there any more techniques to use?
Good afternoon. I am opening a voiceover business, and one of the places I am marketing myself is on ACX as an audiobook narrator. However, for as much as I love to act, I have never been good with audio editing, and now I am at the end of my rope trying to edit a sample recording of my narration to upload to ACX. I recorded a snippet from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and (after a bit of editing and adding a few effects) managed to get everything looking spot on to comply with ACX's standards and requirements. However, I realized upon playback that now at some parts when I am speaking in the regal, commanding voice of the Queen my voice sounds very robotic. As Edmund, it sounds fine, but when I raise my voice as the Queen it suddenly sounds off when it sounded just fine in my original recording! Please see the two attached .wav files to know what I'm talking about. Here are the exact effects I added to the original recording, in order:1. Edited down the high audio p
I need to record a voiceover for a client (deadline today) but my main computer (2009 iMac) died just when I was finishing editing. I'm trying to switch over to my backup machine (2009 Macbook Pro) which I have used in the past (and Audition has worked) to re-record but I'm unable to arm the track for recording. (I can import a file and playback okay.) Audio from the mic is coming through the Scarlett 2i2 interface (colored ring lights up) and registers in System Prefs/Sound input meter, but the "I" button for Monitor Input is greyed out/dis-enabled. Both channels are set to Scarlett 2i2 USB: Input 1 in Audio Channel Mapping. Default Input is Scarlett 2i2 USB in Audio Hardware. Inputs/Outputs is set to Scarlett 2i2 USB Input 1. (Screenshots attached.) I can't think of what else to try. I've searched online and asked in two voiceover support groups but so far no answers. Seems like I had this same problem a few years ago but my memory is failing me as to what the solution was.
Just updated my system to the 22.3 version and I'm unable to drag and drop audio files into Audition. Anyone know how this can be resolved?
Here's the problem. I think I've accidentally pressed some hotkey and now the tracks aren't placing right as it was before with the autocorrecting. Now I have to zoom to max to place them right, when before that they could be easily placed at the start/end of another track automatically. Please help and save me ton of time, ty
Recording a podcast using a combination of Audition, Voicemeter and Shure MV7 microphones via USB and randomly experience static upon playback. Advice?
I am trying to multi-track record audio using an external USB audio soundcard. I record track 1 which is fine. When I record track 2 while playing along with track one, it sounds fine - in time. But when I go to playback both tracks (to listen to them both), track 2 starts about a half-second behind track 1. I have set the latency in hardware set up to 30 - as low as it will go. The soundcard works and doesn't do this on an older version of Audition (legacy V 3 before they went cloud). I also have audition loaded on two computers and it does the same on both computers so it isn't the computer or soundcard. Please help - Audition is really useless to me at this point due to this issue. Any insight or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Can't seem to figure out why all of my audio files are saving with a question mark at the end. For instance, the file might be something like, Hello_01_Example_02 and I'll save it as a wav file, and it will save it as Hello_01_Example_02?.wav. Then I have to go in to every one and delete the question mark, since the files have to be exactly as written. I've tried uninstalling Audition and re-installing, and it's still doing it. I'm working on a Macbook Air. Thanks in advance.
Hello all!I'm relatively new to using Adobe Audition. I have used it for some basic recording and noise removal in the past, but now I am working on recording some VO. I am trying to apply effects (compressor & Parametric EQ) to a track in the multitrack editor for use while recording live (I want the effects to be applied while recording to prevent clipping and some background hum). Supposedly these should effect the recording as it is being recorded, correct? However I am not seeing any change to my recording as a result of adding these effects. I also don't seem to be able to adjust the gain effectively.Any advice or feedback would be much appreciated - thank you!
