There is a weird noise happening in the beginning of this audio where it almost sounds like someone slurping. I cant identify it in wave format and ive tried every filter or noise gate or denoise i can think of but i cant figure out how to get rid of this. Can anyone help or am I cursed to have to rerecord?
I have kind of an urgent question if anyone has any input. I'm working on an audiobook using Adobe Audition. The input for the audiobook is fine and I'm watching it as I record. I saved a bunch of the raw files and when I opened them back up, they look like the attached image. The entire file is pretty much corrupted with a static sound. I only noticed this after I saved the file and opened it back up. The history is now gone.I also tend to save raw files before I do any editing or mastering. I had a file that was perfectly fine before I edited it and after. And now that file too has the static throughout. It's only happening with some files. Here are my questions...1. Are the files corrupt? This is happening AFTER a valid recording once the file is saved.2. Is there any salvation for these affected files?
I am dreaming of having this kind of tool in Essential Tool panel or as an "effect". There's millions of us editing podcasts with Audition and one of the most boring and time consuming tasks is to remove the uhmms and aaahhs one by one in the waveform view. Please see how they do it as Descript. It first creates a transcript of the entire interview and therefore it can highlights any filler words that we can then remove automatically in a just few clicks. It's pretty great right? Yet pretty simple.I wish that Audition aligns with what's being made this year and it's all about AI. I hope you make my dream come true. Thank you for your great work,
I just upgraded my computer and attempted to install my legitimate copy of AA3 I have used for years only to find that Adobe has basically chosen to steal my property from me by not allowing me ANY way to use the program anymore. It seems they put out a link to a free download some time back but now that is gone, so now I'm just supposed to happily skip on over to the Creative Cloud purchase page and give them more money? Really? I think they owe ME money. Is there ANY way I can run Audition 3.0 again? Not only am I unable to continue using the software I paid for and spent years learning, but I cannot even open up my old sessions. I cannot think of any good reason for Adobe to pull a stunt like this, other than pure greed. I'm just glad Adobe aren't car manufacturers. I guess they would remotely disable your perfectly functional car because they want you to upgrade to their newest model. How is this not illegal?
App version: 25.3.0.71Platform: Mac Sequoia 15.5 TL:DR; Clicking anywhere outside an area specificed by the In and Out points clears the In and Out. I'm EQing a multi-track project with various interviews, each on its own separate track so I can EQ the track rather than multiple clips. I've got looping turned on to allow for continuous playback of short areas, and I'm using the In and Out points (set with "I" and "O") to specify the area to loop. The problem I'm having is whenever I click anywhere outside of the area enclosed by the In and Out points (say, to select the track I want to EQ without selecting the clip within the track specifically), the In and Out points are instantly cleared, and I have to set them again to loop the area I want. I can't think of a way this is a useful feature, given how easy it is to accidentally clear the area I just established, and there are already keyboard shortcuts specifically for clearing In and Out, so I figure this must be a
I'm mixing large multitrack podcasts in Adobe Audition 2025. Lately I've encountered a weird issue that none of my coworkers with similar setups are having. I use lots of plugins such as EQ, compression and so on. But when I'm working in a large multitrack mix (e.g. my current project has 23 tracks including 4 bus tracks) I consistently find that the visual displays for the plugins are out of sync with the audio. But it's not a lag -- the weird thing is that the visuals in the plugins are happening before they're actually being triggered by the audio. For example, if I use a plugin like the tube-modelled compressor, the level meter on the left of the plugin screen should sync up with the audio on the track. But the levels will start moving a split second before the audio on that track starts playing. I'm attaching a screenshot to demonstrate this where you'll see the plugin is detecting a signal before the playhead has reached the audio. The result
hi there, can you help me address this?
I have been working on getting the Podtrak P4 to work with Audition all day and to no avail. I am up to date in all firmware with all of the devices and the current Mac build also sees the microphone and I am able to use it for Zoom calls, but when I open Audition it says the sample rate is not supported by the current audio device even though I have it set to 44.1k. I'm wondering what the work around is for this issue and if anyone else has come across this because I would really like to have this device paired with my computer for recording podcasts. Thank you in advance for any help!
Hello everyone. I'm having a problem with Adobe Audition 2025: I installed the trial version on a computer and the installation went smoothly. The problem is that when I open Audition 2025, nothing appears on the computer screen. I checked in Windows Task Manager and the process is running, but why doesn't anything appear on the monitor screen? Could I be missing a DLL or Visual C++, for example? My computer details:Motherboard: Asus P7P55D DeluxeProcessor: 1st Generation i7Memory: 12GB DDR3SSD: Kingston 240GBWindows 11 Pro I would appreciate any guidance regarding this issue. I have audio from two different sources: YouTube and our soundboard. The gentlemen on the soundboard were monkeying too much, and there are drastic changes in 4 different sections of the YT audio file. The audio from the soundboard sounds much better and does not have these jarring changes of tone and such in it. I want to take audio from the soundboard and replace it in the YT file, but the time/length is noticeably off and out of synch by several seconds at the end of the file. Is there a way to fix this beyond chopping it up and using small sections at a time? If there is, I would be more inclined to drop the YT audio and replace it with the soundboard version. But again, audio and video would be wildly out of synch. I'm currently using Audition build 25.3.0.71
hi there please make audio phase meter indicator bigger than now.. because its seeems to look only moving small lines.. change it to small diamond or other related object design.. make it easy for monitoring. thanks.

Not sure what is going on but when I attemot to open a recent file I get an error message: "Can initialize for decoding." Never ran into that before. Have no idea how to fix it. Thanks!
HelloIt may be possibly to make a slight adjustment so that the singing is better represented then what is now the unedited versions. What I read was that with a high saparo voice one could us manual pitch to possibly improve the quality.Take a listen to Janet's singing. Let me know if it is fine the way it is or if there needs to be a modification. Thanks https://youtu.be/Gxw0kWb6mRI Janet Singing Second Version
Hello, Im a beginner in Audition and audio and would like to know more 🙂I'm working on a new audio project for a Nature fragment with multiple nature sounds,is it advisable to convert a 441000 Hz audio clip to 48000 Hz for audio post-production and optimalisation in Audition, or should I leave it as it is, edit it, and then convert the file to 48000 Hz afterwards? I download it from Pixabay, but the sound effects i download there have not the same audio sample rate, it varies from 24000 to 441000 Hz. After edit i would put them into a Multitrack project with Bustracks and Master them to a complete audiofile with background music and background naturesound.
Is anyone else's delete button on a Macbook no longer working to remove selected sections of audio since the update today?
The AUHostingCompatibilityService (AA 2025) keeps crashing when using the Izotope RX8 plugins from Audition. It happens when the Show Preview Editor pane in AA is open and the RX De-Click module or Voice De-click modules are used. It freezes (pinwheel of death) after adjusting the sliders on the RX pop-up windows - seems to happen most often when the Click Widening slider is moved. The module appears in the Activity Monitor as Not Responding. Using the latest Adobe Audition version and latest iOS on Mac desktop.
Hi. I'm recording while i'm playing. And i'm recording Gameplay/Discord on same audio track and i remember a feature in Audition where you could remove the front audio from Discord vocies and only hear the gameplay.
Hello Adobe Audition Team,On behalf of professional audio editors across post-production, broadcasting, animation, music, and podcasting, we request several key features that would make Adobe Audition more competitive and efficient for large-scale audio work.Audition is already a reliable DAW for editing, mixing, and restoration, but there are modern workflow tools present in other professional audio software that would significantly speed up production and organization for thousands of users.Requested FeaturesBins / Folder Structure in Files PanelCreate and manage folders (bins) in the Files panel to organize assets like Voice, SFX, Music.Drag-and-drop between bins, search inside bins, and filter by tags.Track Folders with FX InheritanceCollapsible folder tracks to group related tracks (e.g., all character voices, or all ambient SFX).Apply effects, automation, or routing at the folder level that affect all child tracks.Per-Clip / Per-Item EffectsApply effects directly to individual cl
Hi, There are some car noise and notification sounds recorded and it's overlapped with the vocal. How can I remove them in Adobe Audition? Also, is there any AI tool I can use to restore missing vocals? I have recorded the sound using Riverside and the vocal sounds so glitchy when it's overlapped with other people. It will be really helpful to get some advice to enhance sound quality in general for the podcast! Thanks,
After researching this issue, it appears that the problem with Audition is that it was never improved to the point of taking advantage of multi-threading processors. Projects with more than 5-6 tracks start to bog down horribly with hangs of 10-20 seconds after perfectly normal editing actions, combined with pressing play, getting the "Calculating Playback" notification, then waiting 10-20 seconds for playback to begin. Additionally, it's necessary to limit processor-intensive effects like reverbs to only 1-2 instances per project to avoid extremely choppy, bogged-down playback. I have a 9th gen 24 core proc that is hardly working, but Audition was never adapted to take advantage of it's power. I pay a fairly hefty annual fee to use the Adobe suite. I worked for 25 years as a video producer for an institution that paid for everything. Now that I'm retired, it's on me. Is it too much to ask to have an audio production application that is on par with Adobe's other industry-leading apps?
When I right-click a wav, and then select "insert into multitrack" nothing happens. 6 second video here: Dropbox - Insert Into Mulitrack.mp4 - Simplify your life .I can drag it into the multitrack fine, but, I feel like there's something I am missing. What is it about this operation that I am doing wrong? Thanks for any help!Cheers,-bb
I made a video out the window of a plane at takeoff. The video footage is great, however for the first 3 minutes of the video, the airline has the safety video and comercial's playing, ruining the ambience and feel tht I'm trying to provide for my viewers.. I'm trying to remove the talking but preserve the noise of the plane and the engines. I extracted the audio into an MP3 since I figured this might be a task for Adobe Audition rather than Premiere Pro. I attached a screenshot from Audition. Prior to the playhead, I can see where all of the chatter is in the red marks in the purple area and even the yellow lines in the red area. If there's a way to isolate those and remove them, awesome. Please note that I've use Audition only a few times and probably only the most basic tasks, but I'd like to learn how to do this. See attached MP3 file. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Hello, everyone. I've recorded sides of vinyl records into one file, and I want to separate them into individual tracks. I used to be able to do it in older versions by setting markers and merginf them, but I have Audition 2025 now and I cannot figure out how to do it. Can someone help me? Thanks!
I have been given a new computer by the college (good news/bad news) I want to move all my session templates from the current adobe over the the NEW adobe on the new machine ( and frankly also my home computer) my files should all be saved on the Google Drive, so finding them should be good, but how can i move those Session templates to the other adobe auditions that i work on and would like to be consistent/seamless
