Hello. I am working on a video that has minor sounds in the background. The subject of the video when speaking accidentally slaps his knee and you can hear it. I tried to get rid of this with the heal tool from Adobe Audition but that just damages the dialogue. You can also hear what sounds like floor creeks from the room where the video was filmed in. It's not throughout the video just from time to time. Is there a way to get rid of this? Thanks
Después de utilizar PROCESAMIENTO POR LOTES, se modifican en todas las grabaciones el campo "GENERO" por la palabra "OTHER"... gran inconveniente!!! Gracias por la ayuda!
Hi all,I was hoping someone might be able to figure this out as I've tried many things so far. When I record from Stereo Mix in audition's multitrack recording, the sound comes with static/distortion (See link: Audition CC Stereo Mix Static - YouTube). Here are some things I've tried to fix this:-Listen to this device is unchecked for stereo Mix-Disabled my onboard PC microphone-Tried various sample rates when starting a new project-Updated Realtek sound drivers to the most current-Turned off Bluetooth-Recorded from YouTube In a web browser AND a separate game program-Turned my cell phone off since it was nearbyHere's the strangest part. I downloaded Audacity and recorded using that program.. no static. It sounded perfect. This makes me think there's some setting or feature within Audition that I'm missing. I'm very new to the software so this is entirely possible. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Is there any way to do the exact same thing that the "Skip Selection" tool does but I want to apply this skip multiple times throughout my audio track and I need these skips to be permanent edits saved in my file? To explain further, I need to make edits to an audio file without deleting anything and without changing the overall duration of the track. Part of the reason that I need the time to not change at all is that I am working with files such as audiobooks where if I delete anything or if I adjust the speed/duration then I'll have other issues with the timecode for the start of each chapter being off compared to the table of contents. I'm new to Adobe Audition so hopefully, this question makes sense. If it helps, here's a short Youtube video that explains the "Skip Selection" tool. I need to do exactly what's done in this video but I need to do it multiple times and it has it be a permanent edit (or some sort of similar workaround that can produce the sa
Hi new to audition and am in need of a converstion tool to take in .vox audio files and convert them to .wav. The first attempts at pulling in .vox files, I've found the audio are unintelligble and if I try to save as .wav format, they too are not understandable. Anyone have any tips or suggestions on how I can make this work? thanks in advance for any suggestions and guidance. larr
I've been working on this project for about three hours now and of course I go to export it and everything is grayed out. I can't save or export anything. I've looked at other people who had the same problem and none of the answers have helped me. Is this just a lost cause? Some help would be greatly appreciated, as I really need this project.
Muchas gracias.

I have been recording podcasts using MS Teams. I create a new multitrack session in Audition using a sample rate of 16000Hz as this matches Audio sample rate of the MS Teams video. 32 Bit Depth and stereo sound. The video is in an MP4 format and I bring this file straight into audition. Once I have finished editing the audio file, which sounds good in audition, I export it to MP3. When I listen using QuickTime player, or within the Teams player, the sounds has a slight distortion (muffly/'shhh' noise at the end of the words, which wasn't there when listening through in Audition. Is there a solution to this? Thanks in advance!
Hey all, I am a newbie with an audition, but I can't really find the solution to my problem. When I am editing a multi-track song and add an effect and try editing it while the track is playing apparently the effect is applied to one point of the song (like a timestamp), and then it sets back to the original setting? I am probably editing it wrong, but I have no idea how to fix it or do it properly?
Can anyone else confirm that some shortcuts are not woking in Audition CC2017.Specifically Split Selected Clip (CMD+K) seems to do nothing, nor does Add Cue Marker (M).ThanksLanceMachine:iMacOSX 10.11.6
Former radio guy here. Now at a company that produces content that airs on various stations. We use a RODECaster Pro as our mic interface to Adobe Audition. During radio time, I was a program director and on-air guy blessed with a full staff of engineers who took care of our recording setup. We've worked long and hard to establish a decent post effects process but the final sound on the air can tend to be quite uneven. Straight voice segments are good---but my lastest spot with music + voiceover caused me to reach over and have to turn up the car radio to hear it on par with other spots. I record on one computer and edit on another after transferring the files via Dropbox. Is there a mismatch in settings between the two machines that I'm missing? Record settings per RODE's suggestions:Audio Hardware: ASIOi/o Buffer 1024Sample 4800Machine Specific settings Edit machine settings (the only ones I can change):Device class MME (WASAPI is my other option
Adobe Audition v 22.2 is now available for download from the Creative Cloud Desktop app. This update provides stability & performance improvements along with bug fixes. To update the app, open the Creative Cloud desktop application and click the Updates tab on the top left. Find Audition in the list and click Update. List of bugs fixed in version 22.2 Punch and Roll recording in Audition's waveform editor was introducing an unexpected amount of pre-roll audio signal. Clip Panning envelope would not render on mixdown or bounce if only a few channels of the source file are used. Audio latency could be higher than expected when routing tracks to sub-mixes. Latency compensation is off when sending to busses Pre-Fader causing an echo. Refer to this link to know more about the issues fixed in the previous versions.
Hi,The situation: a 50 minute live track of a band, in the multitrack view I have 2 stereo tracks with some effects.I added a dozen range markers for the songs. in the Markers list they appear with correct start, end and duration. I named them after the songs. (the markers are Range markers, NOT point markers)Then when I select all markers in the markers list, the option File->Export->Audio within range markers is still grayed out. Also the 4th and 5th icon in the marker list stay gray ("insert selected range markers in playlist" and "export audio of selected ranges into separate files")I know this should work, i did this before, but now it won't. I know back then i had to do an aditional action to activate the menu, but stupid me forgot to jot that down somewhere...Can anyone give a hint?
I guess what I am using AA CC (latest version, 11.0.2.2) for currently is somewhat unusual but ...I am compiling CDs for a public examination board, the contents of which will be used to train and standardise the work of assessors whose job it is to ensure that all the candidates' work has been correctly marked by their schools, is to the required standards and has been fairly assessed. The sources of the various musical performances are in a variety of formats, mostly m4a and mp3. Some of these include metadata which can reveal details of the candidate and school, which should not be included on the final CD. I use the Metadata panel to remove this ID3 data, including the original recording date, by highlighting any field with data and deleting it. This is successful for every field except for Recording Date; the initial pressing of "delete" clears the field but moving the highlight to a different field seems to cause the Recording Date field to be re-populated!
I saved a file as waveform however when I went to open it again, it says that the file could not be found. I have attached two screenshots below. Is there any way I can retrieve this file?
Hello, I can't figure out why the edits I'm making in multitrack are not reflected in the waveform. Any ideas, smart people? Thank you!
How can i jump one second forward in adone audition with keyboard shortcut.
We are having issues with our Rode NT1 AI-1 and Audition. We are using the USB 3.2 ports on our ASUS L510 Ultra Thin. In Audition, when we press record, nothing appears to happen and then the mic's power shuts off. No error pops up until we try to close Audition, and it tells us that it is in the middle of processing a file. However, once we close Audition, the mic's power comes back on immediately. We have tried to program Audacity, and it records just fine, but there are playback issues (we have to unplug the mic in order to playback). We've check Audition's settings and this mic is set as the default mic. We're running Windows 11 and the latest version of Audition. This laptop is brand new, and we've only installed the programs listed above. Does anyone have any ideas on settings we can check to get this working properly?
Hi all! I have some recovered audio files from a recent recording that's going to be used for the Cancer Research Race For Life events this year due to an SD card corrupting. When playing the audio, it repeats itself every second and also cuts out half of the audio. When uploading it to Audition, it looks like the original sound is there but it just does this weird repeating thing!I've tried exporting the audio as a RAW file (.pcm) and importing it again but no luck.Is there anything the wonderful Adobe Community copuld suggest please?I've attached one of the audio files as an example.Thank you!David
I've been an Audition enthusiast since 1998 (since the old Cool Edit Pro days, long before Adobe bought Syntrillium). I'm one of the few professional film sound editors who uses it daily (if at all) as my primary DAW. I have loved and defended Audtion and its capabilities for decades now, despite the fact that colleagues routinely make fun of me for my refusal to have jumped on the ProTools bandwagon, all this time. Audition has suted my needs, very, very well. But now, unfurtunately, it's having serious problems, and costing me a LOT in terms of time, money, and client relations. After nearly every action I take, whether it's something as simple as a click to move playhead, or something more complex like a spectral edit, the program hangs for 5 to 15 seconds. This has been going on for weeks now. It's absolutely maddening. It has forced me to work at only a tiny fraction of my usual editing speed. I'm currently 3 weeks behind,
Hoping someone might be able to assist me with some audio recording issues I'm having with Audition. When recording audio, on playback, the initial volume is very quiet for about 15 seconds, then it gradually increases in volume. Any idea why this might be happening? I'm using a Logitech USB headset 540, and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Audition. I've also checked my recording levels on my computer which were set at 80 and after reading a post, changed the right to 100 and the left to 0 which seemed to work for someone else with this issue, but unfortunately not me. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
We're having a strange, intermittant problem.Audio is recorded into a multitrack session without issue. We listen back to it to confirm everything is fine. But, once it's saved, the audio becomes slowed down. The actual file length becomes longer and the audio becomes very slow and crackly. The is true for playback in Audition and other programs. As I said, it's intermittant. The studio is used for class work, so 10-12 students will use it consecutively and 1-2 will have this problem. We can't figure out any rhyme or reason. Help!
