Has anyone used the Zoom R16 as an interface/controler with Win 10 and Audtion CS6?
I've been having odd issues with Audition where every panel will have my GPU information overlayed on it (see picture attachments). This makes it very difficult to work around. Also, I get approximately 5 minutes in the program before it freezes and I have to force quite. The program freezing happens gradually. First a couple glitches, and then the text in the UI will start to disappear, and then it will all out freeze. *side note - This same overlay issue used to happen in After Effects when I'd use Video Copilot's FX Console panel but it's stopped doing it recently. I also noticed appearing on Quicktime player. However, I never experience any of it with Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom or Media Encoder My specsAMD Ryzen 9 3900x 12-CoreGeForce GTX 1080 (most updated driver 461.40)64gb Corsair ramDell 3440 x 1440 60hz monitorAudition 13.0.13 (updated Feb 2021) What I've done up until this point - I went into the GeForce software and turned off the "In-Game Overlay." Within the Audio Hardware preferences page there's a 'Master Clock' setting available for MME devices (on Windows). Anyone know what this actually does and when one might need to change it?I was under the impression that the audio clock was set within the soundcard, and would typically either be the soundcard's internal reference, or an external reference plugged into the card).Anyone ever used this Master Clock setting in Audition to actually solve a problem? Many thanks.
This morning, I detected that my cursor in adobe products is exstra-big, please tell me what to do
I keep having a problem with Audition (build 13.0.13.46) not loading effects rack presets correctly.I have created a preset with:DynamicsParametric EqualizerWaves RVox Mono Waves Sibilance mono If I'm working on a new file and add this preset in Effects Rack, it loads fine....but I find that after I have worked on a few files (say 3 or 4) then try and load the preset on a new file, the first plug-in (Dynamics) is missing, just leaving the other three. The only way to remedy this is to save the uneffected file, restart Audition then try again. Restarting Audition always seems to correct things, but why is this happening in the first place?
Hi Everyone, My first time using a forum of any kind! I was hoping to see if there was someone out there kind enough to offer me some advice. I filmed an interview a couple of years ago for a documentary for a charity organisation (covid happened, it was put on hold) and I recently went back to refilm one of the intervieas at the clients request because of various reasons I wont get into...but mainly due to an item of clothing which isn't appropriate for the organisation as a whole Being worn by the subject. The documentary was already fully edited to the original interview (his interview is the foundation and runs throughout) and the newer interview is far less poignant but visually, it is significantly better with appropriate clothing. In order to keep the structure of the edit intact and preserve the poignancy of the original interview I need to keep some of the original audio but mix in the new interview audio. I have managed to make what is being sai
Perchè quando inserisco un file video non riesco a vedere la riproduzione del video ma riesco a sentire solo l'audio?
The image is from audacity, but all the work was done in Audition. These are 4 different tracks exported from multitrack. Yes, I've done compression and limiting on the second two tracks, and it sounds.... Well, it sounds ok. Okay enough. But I'm curious. Why are the tracks at different levels? and why has the limiter hit the top of the second bit and the bottom of the third bit? I'm a newbie, so if you're willing to educate me, please not too technical? P.S. that white noise was done on purpose. I did a multitrack recording of a musical performance and am now in post production processing the audio. Three songs into the project, I suddenly have echo on the track for the lead actress. First two songs no problem, then there it is - and what's weird is that it seems to be some kind of pre-echo of the primary sound. I have 24 tracks recorded, 12 vocal and 12 instrumental. The instrumental mics were about 20 feet from the vocal mics and the bleed barely registers. When I solo her track or edit the source track - no echo. Otherwise echo. I've listened to each channel and taken out all other vocal mics, still echo. Disabled the smart monitoring, still have echo. Checked all the effects, only using a little reverb on the vocal tracks, turned it all off, still echo. Using Adobe CC build 13.0.13.46 Any suggestions? TIA
I have recorded my voice in Adobe Audition. When I have imported the file in After Effects the sound of my voice sounds significantly lower. I had had this problem never before. Is this a bug problem since last updates? Please help
Hello,I use the auto match loudness and ducking features found in Adobe Audition. The default is set for -23 LUFS and it seems like that is too low. Is there a way to change the auto-match loudness settings so that I can increase it to -16? Am I wrong that -23 is too low...any guidance is appreciated.
Do you know why the bit depth is different in column and different at the bottom bar.? And which of them is the actual bit depth.?
I am mixing a small insrumental group, each recording from their homes and inevitably they are not in tune with each other... e.g. Flute 1 and Flute 2 are sufficiently 'out' to catch the ear and spoil the effect. Is there a way (and simple instructions please!) for me to adjust the intonation of Flute 1 (in my example) so that it matches Flute 2?
I have somehow lost the sound on Audition CS6 and the more I fiddled the worse it became. My set up is 2 hi-fi speakers linked up to a Sound Blaster Z sound card. Please find 2 screenshots and see if you can help me with this dilemma. Many thanks in advance.
I all. I've been working with Audition for about a year now. A new challenge that I've run into is trying to use the "Bars and Beats" time display for a piece where the time signature changes from 4:4 to 3:4 and then back to 4:4 again. Is it even possible to define the different time signatures in Audition, or do I need to mark up the PDF of the sheet music to help me keep the beat count correct when I'm trying to line up different parts of the singing? I hope this makes sense. If there isn't a way to handle this in Audition, what work process have you used? Thanks in advance for your help.
I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I have changed the settings for the sterio input. It is set for the mic. The same for Master. I also clicked the R button as well. I have default input, output, and Master Clock set to my microphone. I can hear myself in the mic through my headphones but the track input level meter does not budge. It doesn't pick up any audio. What am I doing wrong? -Greg Moved from Using the Community (which is about the forums) to the correct forum... ModTo find a forum for your program please start at https://community.adobe.com/
I have been using the spectral view to great advantage lately....erasing out clicks in the middle of words, etc. Usually, when you move your cursor to the spectral view area, it turns into the circle that is your 'eraser'. Suddenly, this afternoon - it no longer appears when my cursor is in that area.... Anyone have an ideas of what changed or how I can get it back?Much appreciated!!
I loaded up Audition today and all of a sudden there are these 2 rounded square icons over each button in Audition, one is a Microphone icon and the other is a Refresh icon but the Refresh also changes to a Pause button sometimes? I have provided screenshots below I imagine I accidentally hit a hot key for accessibility settings or something but I can't find the setting.
I'm at a loss about this and so is my very competent IT department. I'm a radio reporter, often working on deadline, and cannot afford to have this keep happening. I get the spinning wheel of death while working in Audition, and the only solutions are to quit the program and re-open it, or at times, when Audition refuses to shut down, I've had to re-boot the computer. The only saving grace is that when I then reopen Audition, I usually am able to return to session I had been working in. It's annoying, and a huge time suck. Our IT department looked for a solution, but nothing worked...including a total wipe of the computer and reinstallation. When that failed to resolve this problem, they swapped me out for a new laptop. Yep, it's still happening. On both computers, I'm running an up to date version of Windows 10. The only idea I can think of that we haven't tried would be to replace Audition with an older version in the belief that there's an as-yet undiscover
Just picked up a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface for use with my MacBook. I set it up as the input and output device, patched track 1 in the session to be input 1, and when I hit the R button to arm the track, I don't get anything in my headphones, but do get an audio level in Audition. It records and plays back audio just fine, but I have no ability to monitor live. I'm not sure if it's a setting I have improperly configured, or whether I have a faulty unit. Please help! Thanks,Justyn C
I was interviewed on the radio and recorded it via the speaker on my computer. Obviously, the quality is hollow and not at all crisp. I have Audition and want to correct this so that the recording has a sharper sound. Admittedly, I only have very rudimentary skills on Audition. Until I learn how to do this myself, can someone please provide me with a step-by-step solution? Secondly, so that I can improve, what's the best available video tutorial? Thanks. --Mike

Perhaps I just don't know what terms to search and would have already found the answer to my question within this forum by now, but... I want to be able to make markers in multitrack view and have them exported easily to the individual files. As a recording engineer, I often sit with artists in order to markup the recorded multitrack for what is or is not liked, but then find myself having to transfer these markers / notes to the individual files one by one, and often more than once depending on how many files are simultaneously recorded. Moreover, if the timing of my markers must be very precise, I have to spend time recreating markers with the same precision which is very time consuming. MOREOVER, if my multitrack contains any starts and stops (and subsequently more than one recorded clip per channel, the time in the multitrack editor does not correspond to the time in the individual wafevorm, making this process extraordinarily tedious. If there is a better way, I would love to
Hi. I recorded a podcast directly into my Audition multitrack session and everything seemed to be going fine, but suddenly everything disappeard and it says that the audio I recorded in Audition is offline and it's just a flat line. What happened? How can I get it back? This isn't a file saved offline somewhere else. Thanks for your help
I have several short vocal (spoken voice) recordings and I want to work out what the average frequency is for each. The recordings are open in the main screen and I have the Frequency Analysis window open and scale is 'Logarithmic'. 'Hold' - I clicked on some of these - how do I cancel this? Thanks for any help!
