Audition

Hi all,I am a musician that has over the past years began recording my band.  all is great with Audition.  Until I decided to try Autotune..  I got version 8 and tuned my track.all sounds good.  UNTIL I unmute and listen to everything.  Then the tracks is back to UN-TUNED.  I solo track and it is TUNED.  I try'd to bound track out muted so I get the tuned portion and it doesn't work.I have worked for months non stop trying to get Graphical Mode to work....the Auto Mode works fine...but, is a blunt tool.  I need graphical mode.ProTools tutorials have figured out the work around.  Create a new track and bus signal to another new track...then tune the 1st bus and record on second track.  But how do you do that in Audition!?I love audition and have spent close to 5 years making it my tool of choice...don't want to leave it!Please help

I sometimes mix music with AU CC2019 on my laptop equipped with intel Core i7-9750H (6 cores, 12 threads). However when I'm running or rendering my project (mainly using third-party VST plugins) , only one of the cores (threads) works. It seems that other 5 cores (11 threads) are wasted. When I mix my songs with the build-in effects，maybe one more thread works. But I cannot be satisfied under this circumstances. I know that Adobe Pr is able to implement multicore rendering. Can Audition be implemented as well?

I'm editing a two-hour long dialog file in Audition CC 2018. I've recently been editing a lot of these files. It's been going great. A few minutes ago I notice that this current file I'm working on is displaying yellow warning triangles at the bottom of each clip. They say "warning this clip may have shifted out of sync due to a source media file change." I have no idea what this could mean. The triangles go away as I scroll. They make me nervous. I have recently tried changing the stretch / time / pitch / volume of a small clip selection. I didn't like the result so I undid the change. Hmmm, I did stretch one little portion an hour ago. But I've gone back and undid all changes of the past hour. Triangles are still on every clip. I did record 2 tracks and am only editing one. I save one as a backup, who knows why. I had 2 microphones. I've only been editing one track since I started the editing project weeks ago. The triangles appeared a half hour ago. Ideas? (Hey, it looks like this A

I was in the middle of an editing session (have been using Audition for the better part of 15 years) when all of the sudden I completely lost the ability to click on a track in multi-track. left click and drag down the volume adjust line, etc. I double checked to see that the tools I always use (predominantly the move tool) was engaged and it was. Logged out, re-booted, had the IT department here re-load Adobe and still nothing.  I am sure this is a super simple settings fix but I'll be damned if I can find it. Help? Thanks!

I have a problem using Multitrack. The sound from the speakers (music in the browser, the voice of friends in discord, etc.) somehow goes into the microphone (virtual audio cable) and everyone hears it through my microphone. What could be the problem?

I am editing several long interviews that I'd like to cut up into separate audio files. Is there a way to do this automatically? I wouldn't expect Audition to perfectly cut it into usable clips, but is there somethign that could get me halfway there and save time? If not, is there another feature/workaround that can speed up the process of cutting up interviews into usable bits? I'm using the lastest version, CC2019. Thank you 

Hello,I use dropbox desktop app at work and at home so I can edit audio files from either location.  I have been working this way for several years, but since upgrading to Audition 2019 this has stopped working.  It works from any other local folder as well as Network drives, but since upgrading to Audition 2019, I cannot open audio (wav/mp3) files from within my local dropbox folder by double-clicking the file.  My home computer has Audition 2018 and this option continues to work at home.I can open audition first, then open the file that way.  I can also copy the file to my desktop and double-click to open and edit it.  But both of those approaches take extra time, which in radio I do not always have.Audition is already set as my default app in Windows 10 for audio files.Any help would be appreciated!Thanks!-Bryan

Hey,I transferd a premire seisson to audition, Through Dynamic Link.Before it opened, i got an error message: "Warning: 2 of the 7 effects referenced by the file could not be found: Highpass, Lowpass".How do i find the clips with the missing effects?

I am unable to save changes to the hard limiter.  It is like the hard limiter has been changed to read only.Also for my previous presets that I changed on my hard limiter. They have now been changed back to the original preset.  As far as I can tell this is only happening with the hard limiter.Is anyone else having this challenge?

I'm trying to setup my Behringer UMC404HD with a Neewer NW-700 condenser microphone to my laptop (USB 3.0) running Windows 10 in Adobe Audition. I currently have my microphone plugged into input 1, phantom power switch on, all knobs pointing straight up (just used as a reference point), none of the buttons depressed, and nothing connected to the back of the unit besides the power and usb. I found a couple youtube videos on the setup, but I'm not getting the same result as them. I don't know if it's a new driver or my settings. See attached pictures for my current settings. Hello,I just recently installed Audition, trial version and I'm wanting to use it for my voice over work. I'm reaching out to see if someone could take a few minutes and please listen to this track where I have recorded a sample as well as leave some dead air so you can get a feel for what "trash noise" I'm dealing with. My hope is to see if I could be provided with some tutorials, specific filters/it's settings, etc... that I could apply to help eliminate some of this noise. I was editing with premiere, then opened that project with audition, created new tracks, and edited the audio. Then I kept editing the video on premiere, and created an audition session from that project. Now i want to move all the new tracks and edited audio from the old audition session to the new one. How should I go about doing that?

I exported a PP Multicam timeline to Audition for editing and mixing there. Allot of tracks came across, some stereo, some mono. Some of the clips in the mono tracks are stereo with one or the other channel disabled. The disabled channel cannot be Enabled. Why? And how do I defeat this?I have tried moving one of the clips to a stereo track; but nothing I have tried or have looked at seems to be of any avail. In the Edit view, I can see the other track's waveform and data. I just can't Enable it?Premiere Pro CC (12.0...)Audition CC (11.0...)

Hi AllI am running an instance of Audition CS6 on a Win 7 Pro box in a domain environment.The instance uses the machinespecificsettings.xml file as the default for all the domain users - the device defaults box is ticked in Preferences>Audio Hardware.  No problem with that, it has been running for a year or so and I know where the xml file is.I want to change the audio hardware on the box and want to save out a new settings file somewhere so I can replace the existing.Trouble is I have forgotten how I did it last time and I remember it was a bit of an uphill struggle!I can use my user account to untick the device defaults box so that I can choose the new hardware and set up the channel mapping then close Audition.  Next time Audition starts it loads MY defaults correctly.  If I then tick the box and shut Audition it correctly reverts to the machine specific defaults file.  No problem there.But where the **** does Audition store MY default machine settings, and wh

Hi,I seem to only be able to have effects slots available for my track in the Mixing panel and not the Editor. How come?

I have a very simple need but I haven't found a simple fix. Say I want to move a piece of audio from one part of a track to another. How can I do this? I can't find how to do a cut and paste in the sense we do it with text. What happens is I can copy a piece of audio then insert it elsewhere but it lays on top of or overlays what was there. It doesn't bump everything else forward. I edit my audio a lot. I also want to easily move it around. I assume this is what Audition is designed to do. So I'll have a track made up of many clips. I can do what I require but my way seems incorrect and a kludge. There must be a correct, quick, better way.What I do is split a clip where I want to insert new audio then I select everything forward from there. Then I manually move/drag all those clips forward about as far as I think my new clip will require. Then I paste in the new clip. Then I adjust the whole chunk of forward-selected clips as needed to butt up correctly against the last part of the new

Hello,i am a starter in Adobe Audition. i am doing a podcast and i have two tracks in the multitrack view. if i delete certain parts of the recording, i always want to delete it in both tracks. I tried grouping the two recordings which works fine. But i e.g. split the tracks and want to crossfade the two parts, i need to degroup the whole slices and regroup the once i want to move. is there a  better way to do this?Thanks!

I did read some of the forum and I think I know the answer here.  I want to post what I'm doing anyway, in case anybody is doing something similar and has a better idea.I record separate audio clips (electronic instruments) clocked to a midi master as I record them, but recorded separately, in multitrack mode. They are loosely live performed, not following an overall scheme of measures / changes, but they are same tempo.  I want to then arrange these in Multitrack.  I put some preliminary markers at obvious points in the individual files, but as I arrange I get a better idea which point in time is measure 1 and where changes would go.  Maybe I pick percussion to start with and move other track parts around, and start to count measures out to see where changes are/should be, relative to points in time.  I count over 16 or 32 beats add a marker, again and again.THEN.. at around measure 64, in one of the tracks I need to do a fancy edit.  So I say edit source

I'm receiving this error code when attempting to export a multitrack session to OMF. I've successfully exported other files to OMF but then this error code popped up. I've been on the phone with Adobe and still have no answer as to how to solve.My latest theory is that I moved the cache folder to manage storage. Could this be the problem?

For some reason suddenly, if I try an apply anything from Auditions effects and processes - EQ, Compression, etc etc, Audition crashes immediately.Any third party plug-ins seem to be fine!Nothing has changed on the MAC. I am running the latest OS and have been for a while.I'm using Audition CC ver 6, bought as a stand alone. And yes I'm very happy with it (until now!) and not really wanting to enter into the creative cloud bit for this app just yet.Any help, appreciated.Title was edited by: Mod

As you can see, I've got a pretty significant DC situation in this mixdown:I've figured out that this is being introduced by Audition's native Convolution Reverb effect being applied to one of the tracks. (The rack mix goes from 0 to 100 and back down to 0 again, hence the gradual drift down then back again.) Is there some live process I can apply that'll correct the DC offset in just that one track, so I can take care of it before it gets mixed into the whole thing?

I've used Premiere for years but only recently started learning Audition. In the tutorial it shows that video changes (but not audio) made in Premiere will automatically update via dynamic link to the reference video in Audition. In the Lynda.com tutorial the instructor demonstrates this, however, this is not working for me. I did see in older forum posts that others have had this issue, but that was from 2015. Dynamic Link between Premiere and Audition not truly dynamic?Is this still an issue?  What can I do to get this to work?BTW: I have made sure both Audition and Premiere are updated to the most current versions.
