Hi,CS5.5.I am using Zoom R16 via USB ASIO and it is connected and showing as the Hardware source okay.I have the input chosen and when I hit record and talk into the mic it shows okay on the VU meter at the bottom but no wav shows and it doesn't actually record. What could be the problem here? Thanks,oz
So yeah, my workflows are totally shot after the new update with helpful graphics bugs like Running nVidia 1060 6GB with the latest drivers and I tried uninstalling and re-installing the apps. Since this seems to be a really common and disruptive issue, I'm really hoping to get at least a month or two of extra subscription time for free from Adobe in addition to getting the apps fixed ASAP because this is such a massive disruption of my production environment...
I've been experimenting with speeding up spoken word clips (with a corresponding video clip) and I think I can get away with speeding up by 10%, keeping the pitch the same. In fact I know I can get away with this because I've just published a youtube clip and no one commented on it!Currently I just choose Effects/Stretch and Pitch and simply reduce the stretch to 90%, keeping the pitch at zero semitones. This seems to work ok but when I then run my other filters (single band compressor, normalise etc) and listen to the clip with good headphones I can hear some minor artifacts. Nothing the general public have noticed but I'm wondering if I should run my filters first and time stretch last.Any tips on speeding up spoken word audio I should consider in order to preserve the integrity of the original recording?Cheers
Thank you. I found a YouTube video that helped and my audio was sounding good, but now my tracks are skipping in Audition. Any idea how to fix this? I closed the program and re-opened it and the audio is still skipping very badly. However, when I mix down it sounds fine. Thank you again.
Is there a way to create shortcut to move the playhead back a certain number of seconds? I'm picturing this for a quality control operation where you could stop the playback, hear the last few seconds and then continue the playback. Thanks in advance!
Did a remote recording session using an H6 as my audio interface and and has WASAPI selected as my Device Class. the Latency was set to 400ms and Sample Rate at 48kHz. All levels were nominal. Monitored the recording off of the H6 headphone jack and everything seemed ok. When reviewing the audio at the end of the day, got a bit of a shock when all of the files had this digital distortion in it.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_r-Qg-IbpmiqI9ygFyVrBywO7shUD44b/view?usp=sharingAnyone have a clue whether this can be fixed? I tried running it through the de-clicker, but that didn't fix it.
Hi Everybody,I have bought a new camera for making videos on YouTube. The Canon lens I am using makes a slight clicking noise whenever it changes focus and the microphone picks this up. It's not very loud but noticeable.I have never used Audition before and was just wondering if this is something Audition can do? Also, moving forwards, I would probably want to hire somebody to do this for me due to the amount of videos being recorded, is there somewhere, a such as a forum or website where I can hire those who are skilled in Audition?Thank you very much for your time .Regards,Ross
Can anyone help me? I have recorded eight soundtracks in the original but only need two for further processing. How do I delete the remaining six tracks along with the recordings and save it as a Wav file in Adobe waveform? Best regards, Lilly[Mod note; title changed to make searching easier]
How do you bypass the extra step in saving files added to Audition after V3.0?When saving a single file in Audition 3, the browser window opened automatically, like when you save any file. However, in "updated" version, an extra step was inserted. As a broadcast radio producer who pulls bites for immediate use on air, this extra step is soul crushing and doubles the amount of time it takes to save a file. So, in the name of efficiency, how do you bypass the extra step in saving files added to later versions of Audition?
HelloI am trying to fix the sound of an old video I was given. As you can see it is shifted on the y axis : (not sure "phase-shifted" is the right term)Before I can normalize it, I want to center it on the y axis. But I do not find how to do it in Adobe Audition. Please tell me.
I'm pretty new to Audition and I'm trying to add a prerecorded voice over track in 7.1 to an existing 7.1 orchestra wav file.I have placed the Left Front orchestra just above the left front voice over and so on down the line.see screen shot.Does anybody know how I can combine Left Front Orchestra with left front voice over and basically combine the orchestra and voice over tracks down the line?I will then need to output or export the combined files as one 7.1 wav file.I think this should be relatively simple, but I seem to be missing somethingAny assistance would be appreciated.
I saved a 20 minute .wav file of a game broadcast. I later re-opened the file in Audition, lowered the level of the first 10 seconds, then re-saved the file under a different name.Did I lose any sound quality?Thank you,-Tim
How do I save a marker within an audio file (waveform) to a new file?Is there a 'Save Marker To File...' type of function?
I created several eq. presets which I saved and reused them as wished. I had a HD operating system crash and I replaced it and downloaded the AU new version in the new HD. I installed the old HD with a USB box and I have access to it.The question: Where are the created Effect Rack Presets in the old HD so as to load them into the new HD?Since this work has been hard and long, I will appreciate very much if someone knows the answer. I tried support twice without success.Regards,Juan
Hi, I don't know much about microphone equipment. But lately I've been using the Blue Snowball Ice Mic with pop filter, and it works well when I'm talking in a casual, normal voice. But there are some scenes where I must scream into the mic (like for a cartoon character raging), and of course in Audition, the levels turn red and goes above the 0 mark in the level bar. I try recording further and further away from the mic, and I can only manage to get the levels under the 0 mark when I'm way on the other side of the room; but at this point, no matter how I EQ it, the quality isn't good, as you would expect. I've seen videos of voice actors scream into the mic in recording sections (Like Spongebob or Rick and Morty), and I can only guess that they have a special mic for that? When shopping for a mic, is there a specific name or term in the product that I should be looking for to achieve this? Or maybe my mic is fine, but I need to adjust some settings in Audition?Thank you
Thanks for the replies
Was trying to play with the sidechain compression plugin from Beatrig (Sidekick) and couldn't get the plugin to even show up.1. Has anyone successfully used this plugin with Audition 3.0?2. Any other options as far as creating/installing a sidechain compression? Thanks
I am working on a multitrack composition. One of my tracks requires a little bit of panning so I select the track, click on "Touch" and then Play. Once my clip starts playing, I rough out a path via the Track Panner. Next, I set the track to "Read" and then play. Everything sounds fine. After doing some additional editing on other tracks, I return to this track and add another clip. Then I attempt to do the same thing. However, after I'm done, I play through the track and both my clips are now silent. I've confirmed that I'm set to "Read" and nothing seems amiss. But I can't find anything wrong.Next, I set the Track Panner and effectively obliterate the panning information. And it has me thinking that I don't really understand what's going on when I record via "Touch." Am I affecting just the clip? Am I affecting the whole track? If I move the clips anywhere, will the information be retained? And what about if an existing channel already has a 5.1 positional audio default. Will my clip
I am needing to purchase a new keyboard for my Windows PC desktop. Has anyone tried the Logitech Craft Keyboard yet? Does the wheel have any usable function in Adobe Audition?
Hey guys. I was using my Scarlett with Audition in order to record my podcast previously on my old MacBook. I now just upgraded to a 2014 iMac running Mojave. Scarlett seems to be working fine, it's recognized on my computer, I'm using it for my Output perfectly fine, it's set up as my Audio Hardware on Audition, the appropriate Inputs come up looking exactly the same as they did on my Macbook "Scarlett 6i6 Input 1 - 2 - etc", the Scarlett is clearly picking up the mics, I can hear it in my headphones, I'm picking up the mics in the Scarlett control software, but when I go to record in Audition I'm getting absolutely nothing. The track is assigned to what should be the appropriate mic input, but it's not picking up anything. Any help?
Hello Everyone.I am Practicing removing noise In Audition. I have a Clip with Clapping Noise. I noticed using Auto Heal did a much better job, than using the Spot Healing Brush Tool. Also, I used the Marque Tool, and Time Selection Tool to delete the Clapping Sound. What are the different's.Thanks.
We recorded video interviews with the Nikon 850 and a wireless mic direct input before noticing the attenuator feature in the DSLR was turned on. One of the interviews quality turned out ok, but one did not. It recorded with a highly undesirable metallic sonic-type sound. Is there any way in Audition to help curb that result, even a little bit?
HiThis may well be the oddest question about Audition - but here goes. I have just used Audition for the first time after consulting the basics tutorials on YouTube. I clicked on File>New>Audio File and filed in the fields. I then went to Preferences>Audio Hardware and saw that Built in Microphone was listed, which is my choice on my MacBook Pro. I then clicked on the red record button and spoke and...zilch! No waveband appeared on my screen, nor was there any sound. I then went on to GarageBand and checked that the microphone was working. If someone could shed light on this I would be very grateful.
There's an effect I need in the effects rack for Aud3 Multtrack: FFT filter but it's not showing up.Can I add it in there so I have it as an option?Trying to create a 'megaphone' effect and going by the youtube video here
Are there other versions of audio editing software, other than Adobe?
