Hi y'all - My question is very similar to this one: Error when saving a session in Audition CC but it is a different error code. I uploaded a wav file to a session and built edits from that track. Now I have a few different tracks with various arrangements from the original file and when I go to save I get an error.First it gives me the usual "The session contains 1 file with unsaved changes. Would you like to save changes to [file]?" and when I hit yes...I am then met with the ensuing "compressed (lossy) format" alert. And when I select yes to that...I then get "Apple AudioToolbox cannot create the specified file" Error code: 'fmt?'And because the whole thing is built off this track (Monday brain mistake) I now have alerts on every single cut. I'd really like to not have to redo this entire session. I have a few ideas for work arounds (exporting each track and going from there) but hoping there may be a quick fix on this... Any tips or tricks?
what mixer can I use compatible with audition?
If this question has already been answered or discussed: sorry. I only found topics regarding errors on this.I just want Audition, and hopefully Premiere Pro and After Effects, to automatically change the default audio output so I can work with my earphones or with my external speakers every time I plug them into my Mac, just like Final Cut Pro X does.Is this possible? I'm running the latest version of all Creative Suite apps to the day of this post, and I still have to manually go to the Preferences every time. Thanks in advance.
I was able to add two Rode Podcaster usb mics as an aggregate device (Applications > Audio MIDI Setup) and then stereo record them in Audition. It works great. However, now we need to add another USB mic to the mix. (3 mics in total)Is this still possible via the Aggregate Device approach, or, are there limitations? I just don't want to buy another RODE mic if it doesn't work.
One thing that disappeared aeons ago when Cool Edit Pro became Audition is the ability to zoom into a waveform, grab a single pixel with a little pencil icon, and drag it up or down. Autoheal and other other destructive editing tools in Audition are amazing, but I really miss this very basic editing ability. With auto heal, you can't help but "heal" not only the pixel you want to move but a whole host of them around. The closest I can get is selecting a single pixel and use the HUD to raise/lower the amplitude, but it's not the same, and it still tends to take some of it's neighbors up and down with it in weird ways.Am I missing something?
Hello,I am looking for an audio Interface for the purposes of monitoring outputs to mix tracks in Audition. Most of the products I see available are heavily weighted towards sending a signal into the computer for the purposes or recording. However my primary focus is discrete audio output. As a minimum I will require 6 channels (in order to mix 5.1) but 8 or even 10 would be a bonus for future proofing (if ever I wanted to dabble at 7.1 mix or something else crazy). I'm not an audiophile so I'm not 'in tune' as I'm sure all of you are, so I'm looking for something tangible I can understand rather than: "just spend $2000 on RME ###### that's the best.". Additionally I have no delusions of grandeur about mixing 5.1; I don't need any lecturing please I'm just looking for guidance and attempting to outlay my goals so that you can better understand and inform me, even if I use the system for only 3 channel to start with it's nice to have that future proofing.Secondary to th
I am working with Narration files, All my rough work comes from a video in Premiere..I am doing some preliminary work on say track 5 (Fades, edits),I want to bounce that full track to a new track so I can then further edit in Wave form (using Denoise, etc.)When i do my Bounce, it always turns it into a new stereo stereo track (Probs Dual Mono)I have to then convert the file in wave form back to monoSeems like an extra step.. How fo I fix?Brent

How can I configure Adobe Audition so that it loads a specific session when it starts?
Where can I view the latency caused by an effect in Adobe Audition?
Can anyone help me understand what's happening? I'm using the multi-track like I always do and smack in the middle it crashed! Though I clicked "continue" it stil wouldn't load and took me to the second screen shot. I am not sure what to do. This happened last week on an audio file before even opening the multi-track.Thank you! Peace Camille
For AA 2019, Does anyone know if you can change and keep multiple colors in Multi-track? In previous versions, I could change them and they would stay the colors I wanted. While I can currently change them, they do not save and go back to factory settings in each session (including the annoying dark purple.) Thanks in advance for feedback!
Hi Everyone,Audition CC 2017 is having trouble finding my VST plugins that I have installed, absolutely nothing is found when I have the Audio Plugin Manager scan a VST folder. I have made absolutely sure that the VST plugins are x64, and have tried installing them through the original Audition Plug-ins folder, as well as a custom VSTplugins folder I made in my c: drive. Strangely, the only VST's that are working are those that I've installed into Guitar Rig 5's VST folder - Audition scans Guitar Rig 5 itself as a plug in, as well as the 3 VST plugins within the GR5 Plugin folder. However these are the only plugins that are being scanned. I tried adding more plugins to the GR5 folder to see if they show up, but nothing will. I've made path directories through the Audio plugin manager to every file location on my PC where VST's could be, ensured I've only downloaded 64 bit Plugins, and still nothing is appearing for use. What else is there to try?? Any help would be ap
Hello there,I'm having a recording issue I just can't figure out myself...Since months my Adobe Audition is not recording any sound. All other recording apps on my Mac work just fine (i.e. the "Voice Memo" app on my Mac) But Audition (and since a few weeks also Premiere Pro) just don't manage to do any recording. It doesn't matter wether I plug in an external Microphone, or try to use the built-in Microphone. it doesn't matter wether I try it in Multitrack or Waveform...There is just no sound recorded at all. Even though the it "records"... but without any sound.I already worked my way through a bunch of posts here and a lot of YouTube Videos. But I can't find the problem.Hardware Mapping seems to be fine:Can anyone help me out here? Thanks already in advance,Bernhard Thilo
When I am playing audio in a mutlitrack session and I use the mute or solo buttons, they have no effect unless I stop the playback and hit play again, in which case I will hear tracks solo'd or muted. Also, when adjust EQ parameters or effects, I hear no change in the audio unless I stop the playback and press play again. This even applies to disabling the preview of an effect. It makes it almost impossible to sweep for frequencies or do anything in real time.I have the problem in both version 11 and even CS6, which is also installed on my system. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I was using the most recent version of Audition just fine for about 10 hours, but after using the "Zoom Out Full (All Axes)" button in podcast mode for the first time, I started having this problem.Every time I hit the space bar to start playback, the scrub bar starts moving for about .7 seconds before the audio playback starts. The audio begins where the scrub bar began, but since the scrub bar has already been moving, the waveform and audio playback are no longer in sync.If I stop playback with the space bar, click again to move the scrub bar back to where I wanted it, and then hit space again, the problem resolves and playback will be in sync with the waveforms. However, it's obnoxious to have to go through this entire multi-click process every time I want to start playing back a bit of audio while editing.Any solutions would be greatly appreciated!
I have setup my WASAPI Realtek Driver and when recording the audio from a source through the PC is choppy and the output graphs show it. I have tried to adjust Latency up/down with no success.Images of the recorded file, hardware, and channel mapping follow. Playback of previous audio files is OK. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Hey Everyone, thanks for your help and your time.. I just updated to Audition CC (Build 12? The newest update October 2018) And now whenever I create a new track Audition auto-generates a random color for me, how I turn this off? It seems the ability has disappeared from the preferences?Thank you!
I have a mp3 file that it sounds like I hear voices underneath all the other noise was wondering if anyone knows how to remove all the other noise and be able to just hear the voice's? If anyone can help me It'd very appreciated.
I've had an odd problem that only started last night. In Multitrack mode, I can usually make small adjustments while playing the mix and hear the results immediately, such as adjusting the volume or position of a clip. Lately, though, I am not able to hear these changes until I pause and play the mix. I can crank a clip's volume way up or down, but I will not be able to hear its effect until I pause and play again. Do you know why this is happening? Did I accidentally select an option?
I want to have the same sound that this guy has on his mic by using audition settings and multitrack. Can someone help experiment with these settings and try to help me find something that's similar? I have a professional studio that I don't think was wired right OR I don't have my adobe audition settings set correctly. I'm recording 3 mic positions (for podcast only) into a multitrack session (using Soundcraft Signature MTK 12) - 2 things are happening, the faders aren't working to control volume AND it records super LOW. When I do a final mix in post it all ends up sounding fine but I think that's, just luck - if I'm honest. Pics attached!
What is this called and how do i fix it? This is the audio, I have no idea why it does that or how to fix it, I am assuming it's because I am too loud? I am using a Power Dewise Lavalier Mic. Please help.
Hi All, so I recorded a vocal file, opened into Audition, extracted to mono. Got rid of the .wav and the .R file, which left me with the .L file, after editing etc, I apple dropped this file to my phone. When I listen to the file on my phone with earphones, it only comes out of one speaker? (have tried on multiple headphones etc.) Any ideas what has happened? the transfer has changed the mono file back to stereo?Thank you in advanceKind Regards
