This is my first time on this forum. Thanks for any insights in figuring out this problem in advance.I've got a pretty powerful Windows tower; i7 processor, lots of RAM, SSD drive, upgraded CD burner (that I just had replaced) and it's used primarily music production.I like to bounce .wav files to CDs for clients to review and thought Audition would be a good tool for such. The settings are all correct and the CD writes, but isn't recognized by a player. I don't have any reason to think it's the media; I've tried more than one brand.I've never found this to be that big a deal before, so I'm surprised that I'm bumping my head on this. Thanks again,Jim Westlyn
Our church is starting to use video announcements and I'm putting that together. Using Premiere Pro for the graphics but recording the voice-overs in Audition. I use a PC. The church has a Mac. The MP3s I created on my PC will NOT play on the Mac. I can see the waveforms and the sound level bars move, but no sound. This is making me crazy. Can anyone help, please? An MP3 is an MP3, isn't it? Does it matter what system it was created on? Many thanks.
When I add the denoise plugin (CC 2019) to the effects rack in multitrack, it overworks at the beginning of each track, making the beginning sound like it is underwater, which carries over to when the file is exported. It works fine in waveform view, but I'd like to use it in multitrack if possible so I can adjust it based on other effects being added, or if I normalize in multitrack.Does anyone have any advice on how to make this work?
HowdyWorking with an audiobook on an iMac with Audition CC2019, and attempting to adjust one character's voice to be slightly deeper/lower in places. I have been using the Manual Pitch Correction tool with keyframe adjustments and lowering the voice by 80db, which sounds perfect. BUT -- as I go back through the track once I have made my changes, I am finding a distressing number of pops and some weird distortion on certain words, and have had to go back to square one, remove the pitch adjustments in those places, or use Auto Heal Selection, and that seems to be fixing the problem. But why does Pitch Adjustment cause these artifacts in the first place? Is there a guideline to using this feature that will help me reduce the workload? Thanks!Rob
I am looking for any tips for smoothing out edit boundaries in multi track view. What I do now is put a fade on either side of the cut to mask the sound, but I'm wondering if there is a way to use cross fades without putting tracks out of synch, and without having to select all clips. Thank you.
I already followed the steps on Audition Crashed. Now what? and am still waiting for a reply. I was hoping if anyone can chime in or has experienced this lately. 2 weeks ago my stem exporting went fine. I have made edits and need to re-export. Now this...Audition crashes on export for versions AU CC 2017.1.1 Build 10.1.1.11AU 2018 Build 11.1.1.3and latest AU 2019 Build 12.0.1.34Session is a 5.1 mix for a film reel, around 25 minutes long with several buses and tracks.Whether I export via buses or master, it crashes after around 5 minutes. I have been trying to export the same reel since February 12 on 2 different machines on the different AU versions stated above with no success.Video 1 - AU CC 2017 ,some session details, no crash report generated https://youtu.be/3VvewpIgx4oVideo 2 - AU CC 2018 (same project) with crash reporthttps://youtu.be/y1yq8qaTFbQVideo 3 - AU CC 2017 (same project) repeated screen cap for crash report https://youtu.be/GnsCQOMLx1APlease take note that the video
Hello! After updating AU CC 2018 to 2019, the output from the altiverb plug-in from the mono bus was missing. I have done a great job with snapshots and reverb automation in multisession. The plugin shows that it is located on a bus with 6 channels, although in fact it is on a mono bus. But if you add a new altiverb plugin, the output works fine. And his input and output is only 1 channel. Now, when I have one month left before the premiere of the film - am I forced to renew the huge work with automation again? And why is it still impossible to save automation separately? I really hope for your help.
I converted 36 WAV files that range from 10 mins to 1 hour in length in "batch conversion" from 48000 to 44100, and all of them now have a horrible hiss. What happened? Can this be reversed??
Posted on Image-Line Forum:Juice pack effects VST when applied missing first 0.2 secHello;I just bought the Juice pack effects to use with adobe audition CC 2019 (VST) they're registered and working almost fine, when I apply any of the effects in this pack EQ, Delay, Love philter etc to an audio clip (not using it in real time but applied just to that clip), the first 0.195 second of the audio clip doesn't take the effect, sounds to me like the effects have some kind of delayed response or a fade in responsefor testing purposes I added 1 second of silence to the start of a file and the processing worked fine but what about when I need to apply an effect in the middle of a dialog and I can't cut the file? I need to be able to process only the selected part of the file. Please advise in how to fix this issue.Thank youfmaudioTopRe: Juice pack effects VST when applied missing first 0.2 secI assume this is a feature that applies it to the sample in a frozen state instead of real time. Most li
Hi ThereI'm very new to Adobe Audition, but I edit video using Premiere. I'm looking to edit some sound to video using the Multitrack feature of Audition. Premiere is unable to work coherently with multiple layered audio clips with various effects on them. I want to make audio collages for my films, but every time I reopen Audition all the sound files that I have imported into the project haven't saved. Is this a glitch or the way it works? I imagine the former and I was hoping someone could shed some light on this.ThanksJack
I'm new to Audition and have set all the Audio Hardware, Audio Midi Setup, Etc to default, sample rates all match, etc. But Audition will not record any audio when I create a new file and hit record. Just silence, and it's not picking up anything. Tried default mics, tried external interface, etc. Running newest version of Audition 2019, and have also uninstalled and tried other editions as well.Anyone have any idea why it will not recognize the microphone or record on my Macbook Pro? Playback of other Wav. files works fine. Garage Band works fine, records fine. Very frustrating.
I wrote this discussion 1 month before, but no one fix this issue.During the time it makes me more and more stressful. Please save me...When I turn on "Manual pitch correction", sharp peak noise comes up just after "play" as shown as above. And it comes from the right channel only.I use Yamaha AG06 mixer, and "Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO" for audio hardware. And surely, I match sample rate of hardware and multitrack session by using 'Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO' driverI can hear this noise from my speaker and headphone. And this sharp noise makes me stressful...If I change audio hardware "MME" and "Line" output, these noises are dissapeared. (However, I can not use that setting for recording and mixing)How can I fix this problem?
OK, so I was already on chat for an hour and they were taking forever, plus the guy left in the middle of his shift and promised to pass me off to somebody else but didn't so here is what's going on. Occasionally, I get a green line. The same color as a waveform. It's green with these little green boxes going thru it, and it's all sort of vibrating a little bit. I have to hit stop record delete and then hit record again and usually it works. My other problem being Audition continues to go into a not responding mode and has to be ctrl-atl- deleted and started in order for it to work. Thanks in advance.
OK so I want to preface this with the up-front statement that I am brand new to Adobe Audition, and only a casual/novice with sound editing software, and I admit this is a total noob question that is likely to infuriate the majority of you who read this, so please just forgive me for my ignorance in advance, but here goes...I can't hear anything when I playback the audio I just recorded, and I can't figure out what setting I'm missing, or forgot to set/adjust to fix this.So let me start with the hardware setup:Dell XPS 13 using the built in sound card, "Intel Smart Sound Technology" (SST) (if you need any other PC specs I'll be happy to give them, but I figure this was the only important one for this issue)I have a Samson GoMic plugged in via USBThe OS is Windows 10 Pro, fully updated, public releases (no preview builds as this is also one of my work computers)I have designated the internal sound card/speakers as my default device and default comms device for playback in the Sound sett
I’ve been trying to figure this out for years. Say that I had my kick up really loud but it was peaking, but I liked how loud and above the rest of the instruments were, how would I select all of the channels in the mixer view and turn the whole mix down so that I could sure that each channel wasn’t clipping??
Hey guys,I've recently upgraded to CC 2019 from 2015 and one thing that I used heaps that I can't work out how to set up anymore is clicking on a clip and bringing it to front.Previously in CC 2015 when I had two overlapping tracks, all I had to do was click and select one and it would bring it to the front. I'd really like to enable this but have no idea what setting I should be looking for. Currently I'm using a keyboard shortcut for send to back but really want to just click a clip then have it sitting on top.Any help much appreciated. TL:DR how can I set it so that when I click and select a clip it brings it to front (rather than having to use a keyboard shortcut)
Does anyone know if there are more characters in AU other then Dave and Zira?
I have this problem in Adobe Audition Cs5.5When i save any project after i'm not opening this project. I guess i crash temple files.
Dear Sir,I have Problem about can't change other language, why can't change Function Problem Adobe Audition > File > New > Audio File > Effect > Generate > Speech (only English)
Hi,All I wanted is to play an audio file in Audition CC 2017 and listen to it on my headphones connected to MacPro 2013 (OS X Sierra). My audio works just fine with these headphones plugged into MacPro headphones port, when I play YouTube videos in a browser. But in Audition Audio Hardware Preferences, the output shows up as Built-In Output (Not Working). Whatever output I try to select (just to see), I get "The device settings could not be applied because the following error occurred: the sample rate is not supported by the current audio device".This must be something ridiculously simple to fix, yes? I am lost. The setup is barebones and simple. How do I play audio in this program? Any advice greatly appreciated.Thanks!RadPS. Interestingly, in my After Effects, none of these problems exist. In its Audio Hardware, Built-In Output looks all good, and plays comps with imported audio files just fine.
Dear Community,I'm new to Audition and am not a happy camper. After an hour of editing a voiceover I saved it to somewhere Adobe suggested (studio???) and it "dropped" half of my clips.Staff, are you listening? This is the second major Adobe problem encountered in one afternoon. Really makes me question the quality of your products.Yours,Miriam from Belgium
I am mixing a podcast and have two tracks - one for music and one for dialog. I have been using the new Essential Sound ducking feature and it's been a little glitchy. It's caused crashes off and on for a few weeks now. I've always been able to start over and get it to work. But now every time I enable ducking Audition crashes. I simply cannot get it to work at all.The screenshot is of my workspace.
So I'm using Digi Design's MBOX 2 MiniMy OS is High SierraAudition CC 2017Any help would be great as I've tried several variations and nothing seems to allow the record function to work thank you
I'm recording stimuli for a language experiment. Half of the recordings are from several months ago, half are from a couple of weeks ago. I used the same settings to remove noise and adjust volume, but the recordings still sound different. My primary issue is that the first set of recordings sounds "crisper" than the other. I'm thinking that gain might have been different when recording. Not sure how to make the recordings sound more similar. Reducing the noise further on the second recording helps but does not eliminate the problem. I've seen previous forums suggest the dynamics processor and EQ tools for similar issues, but I'm not familiar enough with either of those to understand which settings to use.Happy to provide samples of the recordings via Box or email. Thanks for any help you can provide!
Good afternoon, I was wondering if you could help me. As soon as I run Adobe Audition, this error appears:And I can't fix it. I've searched in this forum and on the internet, even YouTube, but nothing seems to work. I even reinstalled the program several times, but the problem persists. I use windows 10 Pro (64 bits), it's fully updated, and this is the list of installed Visual C++ versions in my system, which I read could be causing problems:I think that none of those required by Adobe are missing. I would appreciate any help on this matter, the truth is that I have no idea because I already tried everything. Thank you very much in advance!Moderator: Moved from Adobe Creative Cloud to Audition CS5.5, CS6 & CC
