Hi,would like to know what are the limit values (min and max) of stereo.panner envelop, as seen in Audition 2018, but also as it is coded in a sesx file.Is it -1 to 1 or 0 to 1. If it is 0 to 1, how do you interpret it ?Thnx very much.
I just finished my first Audiobook, and could not have done it without the FREE plug-in created by Travis Baldree. These projects are quasi-theatrical, and involve working with actors who rely on a continuous flow so they can stay in character and at the right emotional level with minimal downtime. That's what punch and roll does. A mistake is made, you quickly pick the in-point, hit record, the playhead rolls back and gives the actor a few seconds of pre-roll to get into the same cadence and voice, and they can pick it up flawlessly. The recording engineer (who also is a director) and the actor quickly develop a rhythm that flows smoothly through the book. Without punch & roll, it's a jerky and aggravating ride.Audiobooks are a growing market, and the lack of this one simple feature may be the deciding factor between Audition and another program. Travis has already created it, and is more than happy to give it to Adobe. T
Hello clever people just wondering if anyone out there can help with a problem we are having recording audio...we are using a tascam US 16x08 audio interface with adobe audition 3.0 running on a PC (windows 10)we have four mics going into 4xLR inputs on front panelsThe mixer window level meters respond to inputs and playback but other controls such as faders, mute and solo button have no effect on either playback or record (including the master control) why????
Hi there! When using a moving magnet cartridge turntable for playback on your stereo set you usually need a device called phono pre amp. My question here: Is it possible to do with Audition what that phono pre amp device would do to the turntable’s original audio output? Thanks –Klaus
I just fresh installed windows and audition. For some reason when I go to next marker, it doesn't center on the marker, it positions it so the marker is at the beginning of the waveform window. If I change the scrolling to centered it works, but I need page scrolling. Is this a bug or an easy fix that I'm missing? Thanks,W
Hello; I've recorded and edited about 2 dozen audio clips with Audition for an e-learning file. Now the owner would like for me to add an additional slide. When I've tried this before, I had my pc and microphone at the same settings, recorded in the same location and with the same posture. But the audio still sounded a bit different from the pre-existing recordings. I eventually re-recorded the entire thing so all the audio would sound consistent. Is there a way to make a new audio clip match the tone and volume of a previously recorded audio? I am using Auditon CC.Thanks
Hi! New here -- just starting to learn how to use Audition properly. Is it possible to view the yellow envelope line in the Waveform Editor? I'd like to adjust it based on things that I'm seeing in the Spectral Frequency Display, which you can't look at in the Multitrack Editor. Thanks!
I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but the new Audition CC 2018 crashes WAY too much. Normally I back up redundantly throughout a session. But this time I was in too much of a hurry and when it crashed my session I lost about 10 steps of a promo I was working on. It seems especially vulnerable to crashes when I am moving quickly. Almost like it can't keep up. I have to be super careful that I stop playback before clicking on "apply" or it'll crash on me - something I never had to worry about with the previous version. If you have a fix in the plans, sooner would be better than later, please

Hello! I searched this information for a long time, but I did not find it. Can I use mono and stereo vst plug-ins on 5.1 bus? I want to make my sound warmer. I have stereo and mono sound effects that are sent to the 5.1 bus. But when I add a mono or stereo plug-in for processing, only LR channels are processed or nothing at all.A lot of CPU resources will be required to add a tape saturator for each individual track. Thanks in advance!
After Au installs and opens the software, the font displayed in the software is very vague. I can't see the words at all. Windows10's own system fonts display normally, and Adobe's other software fonts are normal. What if the fonts of Audi are very fuzzy? And the files in the software, editing...Help that column is normal fonts, including the menu fonts that are expanded in these projects is also normal, that is, the fonts displayed in the remaining software are very vague, and the hope of sending screenshots can be receive helpEven the startup interface of the Au software starts to be blurred, and other Adobe software does not have this situation. The red circle is the normal font, and the rest are very fuzzy. Hello everyone, I would like to solve a problem that has been bothering me for decades ... When I start a recording, if I click the mouse out of the audition window or automatic notifications appear (update the virus definitions, make a backup etc.) the registration is blocked; this is a problem because when I register my band, more than once, having to throw away all the work done because of this problem ...I also created a video on youtube (in Italian) to better understand what I'm asking for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjdu2z17tMEMany thanks in advance...
ive got some annoying music coming from an iPhone stereo speaker that was positioned at 45-50 degrees from the camera that almost drowns out some quiet chat and whispering where the camera is pointing atyou can just about make out what is being said apart from a couple of instances.ive got access to audition 3.0 and cs5.5I tried to remove all the left hand side in spectoral pan but it reduced the whispering as welldidn't mess with presets and don't really know what im doingany pointers/help much appreciatedthanksalan
I need help using the sound effects and music loops that Adobe offers for free HERE. I've downloaded them but how do I load them into Audition so that they're available to me in the software? Or am I off-base with this? Is there some other workflow that Adobe requires with these clips?
Hello, friendsI work for a church that records the service on to a cd. I am then putting that cd into my computer and opening the file in Adobe Audition 2018 cc. Because it's not multitrack, it's opening in waveform, and therefore the editing tools are grayed out. How do I trim this file down to just the fifteen minutes or so that I need to podcast and not keep the entire hour? I should be able to do this in Audition, right? Many thanks!-LauraMay
Unlike most other programs (including Audition CS6), when I go to open a file from within Audition CC, using Windows 10, I cannot perform a search. This is probably better shown than explained. Below is me trying to search for files with "river" in the name. But nothing happens. It doesn't even try to search. Is this a bug?
So I have audition 3.0...I am running it on an Asus computer that has a NVidia Geforce GTX 860m video card. I have realtek speakers and driver. This computer has a lot of RAM and an I7. I am using an older tascam interface, a US-122. I have used Audition for quite a while but only for mixing and mastering, as I would record files onto my boss 8-track digital machine then dump then into audition to edit and mix etc. My question is does anyone have a link to good site that explains how to set the buffer/latency? I've never had to do it before and it's a bit confusing. I'm using the audition driver cause then I can use the tascam for the input and my realtek for the output. It records fine but play back is choppy, ie plays slow with short stops and starts. From what I've read if I lower the number is better but for playback I wanna increase it. Do you think my generic audio drivers will work well enough for this? I have a lot of ram and processing power but is that enough? Thanks for any
I'm sure it's something basic I'm missing, but on another software I'm able to move the red cursor to a point where I want to insert more dialogue, hit record, speak, and the existing dialogue is pushed further down to accommodate the new stuff. In Audition, I try the same thing, yet it erases the dialogue in front of it (the dialogue further down the track). Help. Thanks in advance!
Hello,I'm sure this is off topic, so please forgive me...I'm trying to create a voiceover and it always sounds like I'm doing it with a tin-can phone... I'm hoping that upgrading to the following will help: https://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/focusrite-choose-your-mic-recording-package-with-scarlett-2i2-and-mh310-headphones?rNtt=2i2&index=1 but the question is, which mic works best with Adobe Audition or other CC programs? The MXL 990/993 or the V400? I really don't know...Again, I'm sorry this is off topic, I know absolutely nothing about audio and I can't find anyone to answer my questions before I throw money at a project.Thank you!
I purchased AA3 in 2009 (still have the box). I continue to use it on a laptop that’s just as old for freelance voice work, but I’m LONG overdue for a computer upgrade (understatement of the year). Is 3.0 reinstallable on a modern Windows 10 laptop, or should I suck it up and get Audition CC? (Which leads to the question I haven’t been able to find an answer to yet: does CC have radio automation data input for .wav files, and the ability to set segue tones, date carts, etc, as 3.0 does? I know some recent versions did NOT support this for a time). Thanks!
When working on an edit seam, I see a ghost of where the play head waswhile sampling through. I have a feeling there is a key stroke that will jumpthe play head back there? Anyone? Thanks. see image OK suddenly why can I not insert any image?? png, no, jpg nosee alert:ok cannot insert any image. it's only 300kbosx 10.12.6
I'm trying to improve the quality of the dialog in a file I'm working with that includes both a musical performance and a dialogue between the performers. The recording setting for the event wasn't ideal. The mics worked well for the musicians performance, but not so well for individual speakers during the dialog. The voices are boomy, heavy on bass tones, and hard to understand. is there a way I can edit the dialogue sections to improve the sound quality? I'm not a complete rookie at Audition, but don't know the tools to do this kind of editing. I'm grateful for any help. — Carolyn Servid

I know this question has been asked myriad times, but it would be NICE if Adobe added this feature to the next update. While it may not seem important for general VO work, it is extremely important to those of us (Audiobook narrators, which is a booming industry) to have in the studio. PnR allows the narrator to narrate smoothly, with minimal interruption after setting the start point. I know the hybrid of PnR exists in the multitrack view, but it is not the same. Especially when you need to "re-PnR" to get the take just right. This is not "loop-recording" for multiple takes, or just the simple "punch-in" recording to correct mistakes and the recording stops at a predetermined location. Punch and Roll, is the combination of "Punching in" at a predetermined location (with a pre-roll amount the operator can set from 2 seconds to 20 seconds), and having Audition continue to record until the "Stop" button is keyed. You are also able to "loop record" but t
