Audition

Hey I am running The newest version of Audition cc 2017 and have a project I'm working on that was converted from a Premier CC project. I was working on it and getting it organized and everything worked fine, but this morning I opened the file and after reaching 100% on locating the audio files it froze and I had to force quit. This has been happening over and over I tried using the backups but it didn't work. Im running OS X 10.10.5 and all project files are on an external hard drive.

Hello,I am using AA_2018 for recording and processing audiobook narration.  I am now noticing that when I run my regular editing process on the waveform file, "noise artifacts" are being added to the final product that definitely were not there in the original file.  At the end of almost every sentence now, audible "clicks" are cropping up causing me to spend extra time and patience "healing" these artifacts to send to the client.  This has greatly reduced; significantly reduced; my workflow and is costing $ as it now takes double the time it previously did to process the file.  Prior to this version, I ran the same process below without the undesired effects I'm experiencing now.Here is my process;1.  Record as "clean" as possible the audio track (30min to 1 hour 20 minutes) in multitrack at 48000Hz/32bit.2.  Export the multitrack file to a folder for processing in the waveform editor.3.  Open the file in the waveform editor and apply; Room tone to t

I've been using Adobe Audition for years, but just upgraded to the 2018 CC version. When I try to mixdown a session to a new file it's all jumbled, and the timing is completely off. It only does this on sessions that have quite a few tracks (more than 16), so I would assume it has something to do with my system trying to keep up?I have a very fast system I-7 processor with 16GB ram, so it should be able to keep up just fine. It always kept up fine with previous versions.Any ideas?

Hello, I have 1 issue and 1 question if you can advice meThe issue: When I edit a sound clip in Pr with Au I can't export it back to Pr because the export to Pr option is always grayed out, so I have to save it as new .wav or.mp3 .. But what's the reason which makes the options grayed out?The question: When I edit a sound clip from Pr in Au with the Stretch and pitch effect there's a difference in the time duration of the Pr vs Au.. In Pr the time duration is like 00:00:00:00 but in Au the time duration is 0:00:000 (ex: if a 00:00:04:20 clip in Pr it'll be shown as 0:04:800 in Au) and this makes some issues when trying to expect how much the new duration that's shown in Au will be seen in Pr especially when dealing with parts of seconds .. So is there some way to make the time duration in Au like what's in Pr? or if there a method to use in Au to calculate how much the new time in Au will be shown in Pr?Thank you so much,

Hi Audition & audio novice question:My friend recorded a 60 second voiceover for my animated After Effects school project using her Mac laptop's mike and Quicktime. Its very ok-ish to my amateur ears but I wonder what a pro might do with this recording in Audition? This aiff is what I have to work with.I have only self-taught beginner skills with Audition and wonder if it could sound better?I put it on Google drive -  TobaccoLS2_edit_01.aif - Google Drive  (Ive been active in Adobe forums for yrs, no funny biz)  - should you be willing to listen —or even better, manipulate!Thx

I've got a decently spec'd tower computer with an i7 processor, 4 core, 16gb ram + SSD drive. On a really basic (no effects, vsts, etc) 15 lane multitrack session I'm getting really slow performance when I switch between Waveform and Multitrack view. The program hangs for a good 20-30 seconds between clicking on Multitrack and the Multitrack view actually showing.Why is this so slow? How can I speed it up?

Hello, its been a few years since I've done any home recording, so I'm definitely not up to speed on some aspects of setup. I'm running Audition CC on a Win 10 64-bit system, and am using an M-Audio M-Track 2x2. I've just plugged in a mic (SM58), and the signal is only registering on the left channel. Additionally, I'm unable to get any sound output through my computer speakers/earbuds (still waiting on my monitors to arrive in the mail). When I check on my Windows output devices, the M-Track shows up as the default device (when plugged in), but it's unable to play a test tone. Thanks in advance for any help.

Evening community.I recently filmed a wedding and the grooms mother was in hospice during the ceremony. She refused to miss the wedding and gave a final message to her future grandchildren, and just a little speech about who she is, where she came from, her life, etc. Super touching.The audio isn't horrendous as is, but I would love it if there was someone out there that knew how to eliminate the noise of a cocktail hour in the background from this speech. I would love to give them a little better audio than what we have out of the mic.I received the couples permission to try and get a better edit from the adobe community to try and help them out. I'm trying to download Paulstretch for use with Adobe Audition. How to do?

I am trying to install a Presonus AR12 in my recording studio. Audition recognizes the presonus but I am not able to control the channels and inputs from the board into audition. I will have a microphone in Channel 1 fader down, gain down, muted but audition still gets signal as if I were mixing it live. Pre and Post fade control do not have any effect on it. Any ideas how to mix from the board while recording into Audition?

First, thanks for the hard work on the updates to this program.  Nice.  I have noticed what seems minor, but becomes time consuming.  When I rearrange my saved workspaces to access them more readily, and then I close Audition CC 2018, it doesn't save the changes and reverts back to "Default, Edit Audio to Video, Radio Production, and then the workspaces I have created.Anyway to get this fixed?

Hi all... Just wondering why delete silence is not avail as a batch action??? If it is, can someone help me out with getting it to work? I have a few thousand music files I need to remove head and tail.

Last update of Audition CC 2018 mute audio after few seconds prelistening mode if i try playing audio via fullreverb effect. Restart effect it plays few second again then mute again. How can i fix this problem.

Since I updated to the latest Audition, when I turn a track on for recording in multitrack, all of a sudden I can hear everything I am doing. With the old version, whenever I had the R highlighted for a track, I didn't hear my every move through my headphones, especially while recording. Is there a way to turn that off while I work so that I don't get distracted by my sounds? I have tried the I next to the R, but that didn't change it. The only way I can turn the sound off is by hitting M.

Sometimes when I start Adobe Audition CC 2017, the settings, the effects templates (favorites, Effects rack, etc ...) are erased, it's as if I had opened it for the first time. I would like to know a solution to my problem, I do not know if it happened to someone else. I await your answers.

Does adobe audition have a loop editor function for representing the structure of compositions?

Last week I was working for a company who use Audition CS5.5 and I noticed something a bit strange...Let's say I start a new session and switch to the Multitrack view. If I hit the 'Play' button, the cursor starts to move - but it stops at the right-hand end of the view window (e.g. it stops after about 30 seconds, depending on my zoom factor). This happens, even if I'm recording !!!From what I can remember, the 'Play' key offered 3 x options:-      1) Play to the end of the currently selected item      2) Play to the end of the current view (i.e. what seems to be happening)      3) Play to the end of the sessionI figured that if I added a mark at some very high timecode, that would increase the session end time and stop this problem - but it didn't work. No matter which of the 3 options I chose, playback consistently stopped at the right-hand end of my view window. The only way I could play an entire session wa

Hello! I am hoping to find out a bit more about VoCo and if there is an opportunity to do beta testing. I am currently in post-production for a unique film that I am making about a fairly famous person that has passed away, but has some lines of dialogue I would love to include. The technology Adobe has researched and developed to mimic the human voice is something that I would love to utilize in parts of the film that I am making. Does anyone know a way that I may be in touch with an Adobe employee to discuss this? Thanks to anyone and everyone in advance.

Ever since the recent update I have had problems with audio I've imported from Premiere.  Namely that Audition crashes frequently while trying to edit said audio.  Audio I record in Audition and edit in it seems to be fine and not cause issues. However when I'm working on a project from Premiere and "Edit in Audition", the audio eventually Audition crashes.  Actually directly after the update it was happening every minute or so of editing.  I had to Uninstall Audition and Reinstall the Latest version.  That made it work, but it still crashes fairly frequently.  I'm only editing like 15 second long clips currently.  I cannot point to any specific action causing it.  Though the last two were relatively around when I applied my own preset that I made in the 2017 version (Just equalizing with in app settings.).  Is there a way to find an error log and post it for folks?  I'm new to Adobe Audition in general. I was only using it a few weeks

Hello,I'm fairly new to Audition, so please excuse me if this is a simple matter and I'm overlooking something obvious. I'm attempting to use a Rocksmith USB guitar adapter with Audition CC. The drivers are all up to date. When I go to the Audio Inputs section of Preferences, it shows up, but with an added "(Not working)". I've changed the sample rate, reinstalled the driver, etc, but to no avail. I'm using WASAPI drive class. My machine is a Win 10 x64 with 32GB RAM and Realtek High-Def audio, if that information is pertinent (and which works fine in terms of recording from the computer's microphone).Thanks,MP
