Hello Ladies and Gentleman,         I hope my monologue finds you in good spirits. If you are an experienced Adobe Audition (or just audio) expert, please, hunker down, grab a coffee and come with me. I'm just going to basically vomit a bunch of random information and then be like, "Oh my, what do I do now?" I'm part of a company of players who are in process of completing a sock puppet play video. It's very adult, I assure you, there are deaths and romance and drugs. During the course of production, since we do not work out of a big studio, we work out of someone's home, we have suffered two major production events. Setbacks, or rather, challenges, if you will. We know that in an ideal world, all audio should be recorded in the same studio environment, on the same computer, using the same settings, and that importing/exporting and moving around can alter the texture of sound in infinite ways. Hello,I use Audition for sound design and audio editing. I really love Audition spectral editor, and the audio repair built-in effects are 'ok'.I wonder if the IZotope RX Plugin suite is worth it (current price is 50$)? How is it different from Audition's own repair effects? Is it too basic? I usually repair audio recordings myself (with frequency, amplitude and spectral changes) without any special tools, but it takes a LOT of time.Thanks

In ProTools, one has a stereo clip on a stereo track.  One can create two mono tracks, and drag that stereo clip onto the new tracks, creating two mono clips, one clip per track.Is it possible to do this in Audition?

Hi.I am currently working on a multitrack project and recently while playing through the timeline a couple tracks automatically turn on the mute button at different times in the timeline. When I turn off the mute button, to start playing audio again, it turns itself back on later down the track. However it seems to remember where I have unmuted the track, so now when I play it through the mute button keeps flicking between on and off.I'm assuming there is some kind of track option that let's you remember where you muted the track?How do I turn this off?Cheers.

I have been working for two hours to try to get this plug in to work. I  am operating on a 2017.0.2 version of Audition. I downloaded the plug in from Valhalla. I read the 'Adding third-party plug-ins' and followed the directions. I put it in the Library> Audio >plug-Ins >VST. But it doesn't show up anywhere in the Audition program at all. What am I missing?

I have several pieces of audio that I need all about the same volume throughout, but many of the files have both very loud and extremely quiet parts in them.How can I make the super quiet parts louder without having the sharp noise change when it gets to the naturally loud sections? without blowing out the loud parts?audio version of fading?I've tried just selecting the quiet parts and moving the "Adjust Amplitude" circle floating at the bottom, but that creates a cliff that sounds really choppy I have tried the "Match Volume" auto thing, but it isn't working throughout the entire sequence, leaving some areas still super quiet I'm completely youtube-taught on Audition (knowledge ultra basic)Audition CC 2014, Windows

Sorry if this is a basic question - but I'm recording a multitrack voice over against pictures with timecode, and I'd like the .WAV's that get produced to have the multitrack timecode when they are opened. Instead when they open each waveform starts at 00:00:00:00. Is there a way for it to pick up the multitrack timecode from the point of recording?I'm currently setting an in and out point and then arming the track and recording - but I'd like every take to pick up the timecode when opened in the future so that it's obvious where in the session it was recorded.Currently if I double click a wave on the multitrack timeline it does pick up the timecode - but only where it was at that moment in time - so its not actually embedded anywhere.Thanks in advanceMatt

Hi  Using Audition CC    Current version.I have a multi track project.  In track 1 is the left track I want to use in the exported version.In Track 2 is the right track I want to use in the exported version.I want to end up with a stereo with Track 1 in Left and Track 2 in Right.Attached is a screen capture of my current project.   When I try to export it -- I end up with a mixed track with Right and Left the same That's not what I want.  I want to keep them "separate".I've done this before but I can't remember how I did it.Thanks!Rowby

I ran up against a problem using Audition CS6 in a film post production environment, where I had to re-conform a soundtrack already built in Audition to changes in the picture where black video was added at the front of the video. This shifted the video by a fixed amount of time, so I needed to also shift the entire soundtrack by the same amount of time. In CS6 (at least), there is no way to do this, except by hand. I had already done this once before I had the rather extensive track automation, and wasn't willing to do that again. The easy part, of course, is Selecting All clips and moving them en masse which works great, but that does not shift any Track Automation or Markers. That was a problem.So, I wrote a PHP program to make the necessary changes to the session file for me automatically.You only need to provide a file name and an offset (in samples), and it changes all the necessary values in the session file and writes out a new file. Hello, I can't figure out what is going on. When I do a multitrack mixdown from Audition to Premiere for this one specific project, it is exporting a file or back to Premiere with no sound. I have done this many many times on other projects and it typically works fine. I have checked all the settings and it all looks fine. I've also tried multiple times.I tried on an old project and it works fine. If I don't do Dynamics Processing for side chaining it works as well. There is something with the Dynamics Processing and the side chaining with this specific project that is making it mad. In Audition, it all sounds good. The resulting export is the issue.Please help or point me where to look. Thanks!

I am connecting a startech 7.1 usb external sound card to my computer (windows 7) and trying to playback a 4-channel sound from adobe audition. In adobe audition, I set the output hardware to be my USB multi-channel speakers. However, when I was mapping the audio channels, I only got two speakers available. I was expecting 8 speakers because my external sound card has 8 channels. Am I missing anything?

Hi guys,Still a newbie...  🙂PROBLEMI am having problems with the levels of a Mic input (& a line input) into Audition 3, fed from a Focusrite Scarlett USB Audio interface. I have issues with a (human) speaker 🙂  who shouts or sneezes into the mic. Similarly I have a problem with the wide dynamic range of the line input with some material from CD or other sources...WHAT I HAVE TRIED AND WHAT I THINK I WANTAlthough I can compress or limit the recording in Audition (after the recording) I would like to see if there is any way I can put some sort of hard limiter in Audition which will recognise an upcoming peak and drop the volume to suitable levels - before it gets recorded.If yes, could someone suggest a suitable plugin, preferably free, to use with Audition3. Re: Adobe Audtion CC 2017 vs 2015. My problem is on the older version 2015 I could burn a CD with the mixed songs spliced together and there wouldn't be any space between the songs. Now on the newer version you have to create an audio cd and it breaks all the songs individually and when you burn cd it isn't the original spliced song but individual songs and all have a space between songs like itunes. Is it possible to customise the scroll wheel behaviour for zooming and navigation ???I spend most of my time in After Effects and it would greatly enhance my experience of Audition if Option Scroll could be linked to time zoom as opposed to track height...

I'm using Adobe Audition for MacBook Pro.  Everything seems to be working as normal except when I play an audio track, the sound will not play through my headphones or built-in speaker.  Other sound effects, songs, and online videos will play sound.  Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I would like to copy several custom favorites and presets from my workstation to my laptop. However, I don't want to lose the several different custom favorites and presets that are already on my laptop, which is what I think would happen if I simply copy Favorites.xml from the workstation to the laptop, overwriting the existing Favorites.xml on the laptop.Ideally, I'd like to just sync the Favorites and Presets on the two machines, but that doesn't seem possible. Overwriting one file with another is not syncing.

hi everyOnei am recording my first audiobook in a home studio i made and they are not turning out bad at all, but there is a slight annoying echo--which it appears that inneed to buy a plugin to remove. Apart from that is there a workflow that someone could recommmend that they would apply to any file in general to make it sound better?i am overwhelmed by all the effects options......also when al that is done is there a simple coue of steps to mastering the final cut?any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I have a Creative Blaster ZxR soundcard with ASIO support. I see in Audition you can do ASIO to record but I want to post-process audio with effects and then do a live stream of audio to another device with very, very low latency.The problem is I have a fan running in the background so of course I'm using Adaptive Noise Reduction and a couple of other equalizer and dynamic processing effects to clean up the audio. It sounds great! But when I use MME for the device class, there is a noticeable delay when I output to a VAC (Virtual Audio Cable). Is there a way I can use something such as ASIO4All or VoiceMeeter to create additional ASIO virtual devices to stream to?I noticed when I use the VoiceMeeter I have a few options which looks like it's additional device inputs I can output ASIO audio to.VoiceMeeter is also incredibly confusing and I've had no solid luck with it. The options to clear background/fan noises is limited and there isn't much for equalization. I just need to pass audio

Just curious is there an efficient method for editing my show? There are three of us and I don't have any acoustic treatments but I key frame all three vocal tracks, it seems to take far to long to push out the episode in time every week. Due to the fact that my room isnt super large all of the mics pick up the others talking in the room. I want to try and cut the amount of editing I have to do and being that the majority of the time all I add effect wise is dessers and a hard limiter. I need a more efficient method is there anyone who knows how to clean the tracks up and save time with out using noise reduction or any other effect that won't degrade the original file? everytime I use any noise reduction effects it sounds echoy or it messes up the way the file sounds.

When I take the audio out of a video to edit, it ends up shorter than the video. It actually cuts the last part off. Any help please?

Here is a screenshot of my hardware settings.  I have an i5 4690k @ 4.3 ghz, 16 GB ram, gtx 1080. I have a yamaha steinberg UR44 as you can see. Im not sure what happened but all the sudden i am suffering from unbelievable delay. Like half a second delay.Not sure what other information you would need but i'd be happy to provide any other details you need. Thanks guys.
