Audition

Hello,So my set up is a fast track pro and a basic condenser mic... When I test it on Garage Band or Final Cut everything comes out crispy clear, however, inside of Adobe Audition that vocals are staticky and high pitched. I tried starting new files with different sample rates, but no luck thus far. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I was shooting a very interesting video of tool use by Hyacinth Macaws in the Pantanal, Brazil (they use a piece of rough palm frond placed in their mandibles to get a better grip on hard palm seeds they are trying to crack).   I was shooting with my Nikon DSLR and a 600 mm lens, and there were other photographers there who were also shooting stills, so I have the sound of their shutters scattered throughout the video clips.  I was using the camera's built-in microphone, since I didn't know about this behavior before hand.  I know this is a multiple-frequency sound, but it is very short in duration when it occurs and the interval between the sounds is fixed.  Is there a way to eliminate this noise?  There is a lot of interesting background sound from other birds in the clip, otherwise, I could just turn off the audio.  There are probably a total of about 15 shutter clicks in the three minute file.  It was recommended on the Premiere Forum that I

When I open my unmastered track into a new session in audition to master it, all effects and levels are loud and perfect in the multitrack. When I mixdown, the file appears on edit and still sounds the same which is how I want it. Once I exit audition and listen to the final track on my Windows laptop, the track sounds significantly quieter even though I mastered it. I put the same file into Audacity to see if I get the original sound back and I do! When I export... it becomes queiter again (I compare them side by side and I'm positive my desktop file is way queiter). I already have L/R logarithmic selected in preferences as well and mix at 32 bit and export at 32 bit. Does anybody know what the problem is?

Since upgrading to V10 (CC2017) I'm having big problems with the single band compressor in multitrack projects. It's producing horrible slipping type sounds whenever it is working on a clip. I have upgraded to 10.0.1 and this is exactly the same.I've never had this problem with previous versions and it's certainly not the source audio as many clips have been tested.Is anyone else having this problem or can anyone suggest a workaround? I've tried applying the effect via a bus, but it doesn't change anything.Thanks!

Hello,I am looking into acquiring the Adobe Audition software, it has been recommended to me for editing some voiceover recordings and removing background whitenoise.I am wondering how easy this system is to use for someone who is not familiar with it?Thank you

I recently installed a few 3rd party plug-ins but cannot find them to activate. When I instruct Audition to scan for plug-ins, it appears to begin scanning but the progress bar remains at 0% and never progresses or ends. It just sits there at 0% forever. Most of the time when I finally cancel out of this and close the plug-ins window Audition quits on me. Is it something I'm doing wrong or has my installation of Audition gone awry? This is the first time I've installed plug-ins.Audition CS 6 (5.0.2 build 5) on a MacBook Pro running El Capitan

In the process of getting used to this new program of Adobe Audition, & playing with the Stereo Imagery / Center Channel Extractor setting, I accidentally deleted the Vocal Remover setting. How can I install that back into the program?

Hi guys, I'm trying to play some mkv with x264 codec with audition CC 2017 but i can only hear audio and black screen. I've tested also with .avi file and works perfect. I'm assuming it's some codec problem with audition and windows media foundation am I right? What can i do to have mkv working? Thanks in advance to all!

Hi! I spend most of my time with Audition simply editing articles I record. I've always wondered if there was a way to "jump" directly to the start of the next audio piece in a file, as opposed to holding down Shift and highlighting the section I want to delete. Can Audition "sense" where the next piece of audio begins so I can more quickly edit? Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks!

So I have a laptop running windows 10. I have downloaded AA3. It appears to work the same as on my old system except when it comes tomix/paste.  It garbles it. Sometimes it will paste another clip the I did notcopy into the clipboard.I have also had problems with it garbling the file when I save it.Have not had this problem until windows 10.Anyone have any ideas?ThanksKent

Hello,I am very new to Audition.   I am making a voice track for a word book.I have 38 topics with various words. For example:  The Alphabet - then it has 26 clips                       The weather -  8 clips (8 words)                        The familyand so on... I want to make 38 tracks - for the CD - with each track - with pause for each word.  So that the CD won't have too manyIs it possible to make the 38 tracks - but each word for each topic will have pauses. So the teachers can pause / go back / go to the next wordI don't want to make all words a clip, and each clip a track would mean hundred of tracks...Please help me.Thank you.

Hello everyone,I`m starting with Adobe Audition CC 2015.2.1 and I have a very basic problem: when I use the selection tools (lazo - marquee - time) in the frequency window when I release the mouse the selection disappears. I can`t fix the selection and I can't drag the selection elsewhere. Basically, the hand icon that allows you to move the selection never appears and the selection disappears as soon as I click elsewhere in the workspaceI know that Audition is a partially destructive editing program so I`m sure that this problem has something to do with that. For that reason, I tried to save the audiofile I`m working on before starting to work on it but nothing changed. I`m sure that this is a stupid and easily solvable problem but so far I couldn`t find a solution.Thank you for your help,Ben

i want to convert an old itunes library of files from mp3 to wav.  Was hoping i could just drag the root folder onto audition's batch process window and have it drill down and recognize the files.  It doesn't.  Instead it seems i can only add FILES, not folders.  NCH Switch does this, but I don't want to have to pay $25, since I already have Audition.Any ideas? Am I missing something?-bewildered in bedstuy

I have a problem, when I record my voice usually sounds fine the first few times, but when I've been recording for a long time and I play what I've recorded there's this sound, like a little glitch (is not saturation or a volume problem), and sometimes only happens in specific parts of the song but sometimes this sound appears in the entire song. So I've got a Premier Pro CC project where I have then launched the audio from PP in Audition CC.I have about 20 audio clips to work with of the audio from a camera using a Rode mic. In Audition under Essential SoundI click Reduce Noise and great it fixes my problem......however at the start of EVERY clip it is not fixed, but for the rest of the clip it does. Why on earth is this happening and how can I fix it?Note - I did mix down the clips to one track, opened that in Audition however the Essential Sound menu told me "no clips selected" (even though I had the entire waveform selected - isn't that a clip? I tried going via the Effects menu to reduce the hiss/ noise and the presets did not seem to work as well as the repaired part of the Essential Sound menu option for the 20 separate clips. Been searching for an answer on this for a while.I import an mp3 to my Multi-track Mixdown session. When I double click the file and listen to it in the Waveform editor, the audio quality is significantly better and cleaner. Imported audio file has no effects or changes on it. The multitrack session is 44.1 and 32 bit.Wondering if there is anything I am doing wrong on my end or if there is a setting I am missing.

Hey, i've been trying to get this effect for days now but can't find anything online.I want to make it sound like the sound is coming from a specific direction. (Yes i know what panning is)I do not want the sound to come more from the left or right, i moreso want the sound to enter the ear at a different angle.For example to sound more like it is coming from the front (directly into your ears), or from behind (so you can hear like it is behind you)Now that i think about it, what i want is almost a surround sound effectLike from this song: Oh Wonder - Without You - YouTubeThe males voice sounds like its coming from the sides, while the female voice from the center of your head.If anyone has any info on this, that would be great! I just tried to uninstall and reinstall Adobe Audition CS 6. Now I have the message, "Installer failed to initialize" on my PC, Windows XP. Any suggestions? The help page isn't helpful at all and now I can't ever reinstall the program. I'm pulling my hair out. Please help me!

Does anyone know how to open the MT Power Drum kit VST in audition ? i know how to use it in the likes of T5 DAW etc, but for the life of me i can not find a means of opening it in Audition, i can see it listed as working in the plugin list, but actually opening it....no idea, can anyone help ?

Not very experienced with Audition CC...I have several audio files that I've put together on an edit timeline with the "Open Append" command. Is there a way to export that timeline to a single file and have the markers be chapters?Thanks

I have been using Adobe Audition CS6 for years and just a few days ago a new problem developed. I go to Multitrack and them Mixdown session To New File then Entire Session and what used to take 5 min now takes hours and it only mixes down a single track. I can't clip the beginnings and ends of songs any more or add effects or make the mix louder. Basically, the program is useless to me right now. The mix I'm doing right now is way less complex than some of the other mixes I've done. I need help A.S.A.P.!
