Audition

Hi, Edit > Interpret Sample Rate is grayed out.Method (A). I'm trying to speed up the playback of a file so that I can log it for a podcast faster. I do this in Waveform by (1) changing Interpret Sample Rate and (2) adding markers. When I want to edit in MultiTrack, I save the track with the markers and open in Multitrack (I think, I haven't gotten this to work yet). However, I can't speed up the playback within the Waveform mode, because Interpret Sample Rate is grayed out. Method (B). I also know that you can speed up playback in the Multitrack mode by (1) enabling global stretching, (2) stretching the track to less than 100% and then (3) adding markers. However, this method does not work well. After 1, 2, and 3, when I (4) stretch the track to 100%, the markers do not move with the stretched audio. Any suggestions?? Thanks!Daniel

I've used the analyzer for years to help me isolate that frequency that is horrible.  However, now I'm only getting frequencies from like 1k and above.  I've zoomed out completely, adjusted settings but nothing ever shows me all the spectrum.  Any ideas on this one?

I've been trying to save my files as "Save all audio batch processing," and I'm  getting a black screen overlay on top of the adobe audition session its place. Any ideas to overcome this? BTW I'm on Mac.

Hi all,Today I've recorded quite a lot of stuff in a multitrack session. I've clicked "Save" from time to time and even before I close the application for sure.However, when i open it again, most of the recordings went missing! and I can't even find them in my source folder!What I've done different this time then before is that I've changed the names of the recordings, but all of them are lost!Only those which haven't changed the names are here.I'm using Scarlett Studio 2i2 for the interface.Is there any method i can get my recordings back??Thanks in advance.

HiI'm working in the latest Adobe Audition CC2017.1.1 (build 10.1.1.11), on a new MacBook Pro (OS Sierra).The vertical (amplitude) zoom tools are not working in the Waveform Editor. They neither work by clicking on the zoom in / zoom out tools, nor by using the shortcuts for these functions. This renders any spectral editing and use of the spectral editing tools pretty much useless.Is everybody else having the same problem?cheers

I'm just getting started with Audition and decided to try the Record and edit music tutorial only to find that the files they require you to download in order to follow along do not exist. Just wondering if I'm alone in this problem or if I'm missing something obvious. If anyone knows where to find the files please let me know, thanks!

Hello folks, looking for an answer to straight forward question.If I copy multiple tracks that I'm working on in a session, to paste to a new session, will the clipboard still honour this if I close the program and reopen it?I'm trying a sneaky workaround for a problem I'm having....did a lot of work yesterday but it won't save...all files in Alert State.I think that's because my backups and temps weren't synching with Google Drive very well. I have re-directed them to my Creative Cloud, now that I made space there.SOOOO....I won't lose my work if I can copy this and paste it into a new session. But what I don't know is whether or not the clipboard still functions if you quit the program and reopen it.Does anyone know that, or willing to test this out on a dummy project? Hi! I'm in need of adobe audition, i can't seem to set it up through OBS. I've tried to fix this like 5 months ago, nothing worked and i just gave up. I do not have the time to spend it to watch tutorials on how to set it up, if someone knows how this works and knows how to make it work through discord, OBS etc. Comment, give me somewhere to contact you like on discord, steam or any other platform. Hi!I'm new to Audition so am looking for help with what I assume is very basic. I have a Premiere project that I exported to Audition as a sequence. I want to clean up loads of timeline clips with the noise reduction inside Audition (tried the one inside Premiere and that's just not very good quality). So here's my problems:Problem 1:After exporting the sequence from Premiere to Audition some tracks seem to be at least 6db louder then in Premiere. Settings are: "Selection: Entire Sequence""Render audio clips" is unchecked (does Audition maybe not open these effects? Could this be it? Should I render the effect?)"Send clip volume keyframe Metadata" is checked.Problem 2:How do I select clips from the timeline and put the in the Batch Process panel so I can apply my favourite Noise Reduction settings to those clips?Thank you for your help!Sami

Hi there,I've just started using Audition CC to edit oral histories.  Some of the audio is slow, so I've 'stretched' the audio, in multitrack, to speed it up and added cue markers. When I un-stretch it back to 100%, the cue markers move from the time I marked, when the audio was going at a faster speed.  Is there a way to overcome this i.e. when I un-stretch the audio back to 100% to have the cue markers stay where I placed them when sped up?I hope this make's sense.Cheers[Moved from the non-technical Lounge Forum to the specific Program forum... Is there a way with Adobe Audition to make your voice sound like Genji's? It shouldn't be difficult, but I can't exactly pinpoint what to do.....(I also asked the same question on Yahoo Answers and got an incredibly comedic response actually)

I have an audio file that's about 1 hour in length. I've dropped it into a Multitrack session and edited down to 1 min. I need to sync up some video to one of the edits.How can I find the timecode of where the edit begins in the original audio file? i.e. in the Multitrack, the track is trimmed to start at about 30 secs into the original audio file, I need to find the exact time of this start point in the original file!

Hi,I'm putting together a short film and wanting to take care of audio myself. I imported all the clips from my sound recordist into my Premiere timeline under the corresponding video clips.Each sound clip comes spread over 5 audio channels. I need to tidy this up and only need a stereo mix.Can someone tell me how I can mix these down into one stereo channel? Cheers.

Hello community,I've run into a recent problem exporting "stems" in Audition CC 2017 in the multi-track editor.  After recording clips on two or more tracks, and then bouncing those clips to new tracks, when I choose to "export" the entire session, and then choose the individual bounced "stems" in the export dialogue box, the system starts to render the stems and then crashes.  An Adobe support customer service agent created a recording in the multi-track editor and was able to reproduce the same error.Any ideas or updates on why this would occur?Rhett

I've installed a purchased voice from cereproc.com, however when I try and add any text using it's voice it gives me back a really deep sounding voice. System voices are working fine and the Cereproc voice works fine when i'm using it on my computer. Something happens as I'm trying to work it with Audition, any guesses as to what it may be?

I am having problems.  I get to 94% installed and it tells me I need to close "safaricloudhisto" to continue.  So that is as far as I have gotten.  I tried turning off Safari but that makes no difference.  How can I successfully reinstall.  I have tried to reboot. no good...  anyone out there who can assist please.  I called Apple but all they could tell me was that they did not have anything named safaricloudhisto so I need to ask Adobe...  Adobe... well I got no response...

Hi everyone,The title basically sums up the problem I'm having. I frequently use this effect to create smooth transitions between tracks with different tempos. However, the process seems to be somewhat inaccurate. For example, if I had "Track A" at 140 BPM and wanted to transition out of it into "Track B" at 150 BPM, I might take a section of Track A, and make it go from 140 to 150 BPM (in terms of percentages of course since that's how the effect works), and take an equal section of Track B (in terms of beats) and make it also go from 140 back to its original tempo of 150 BPM. Sometimes the effect works fine, but several times it doesn't work as well, which is a shame because I would love to use this effect more often.Any tips on how I could make this effect be more accurate besides setting precision on high? Maybe even some suggestions on how I could achieve this same effect but with some other more accurate method?Thanks for your help!

HelloI have a job to convert  analog Super 8 film. The subjects were filmed and the sessions recorded on cassette tape.  What I must do is sync the audio to subject. In this sample I can as is evident in the start of the segment sync the audio to the subjects lips. Later the audio slips out of sync. I started at the beginning of this 19minute film recorded 1971 where Margarete introduces herself 'I am Margarate...." and using the Alt + arrow key moved the audio left and right to find her lip sync. Is there a method in Audtion CS6 where the whole of the audio matches the speaker? I think I am  missing the obvious and seek advice here in this forum.Thanks

I am using Audition cs6 on win10 and connected to a behringer x32 via the behringer ASIO firewire card. My problems is that I can record all 32 channels fine, but I can not playback at all. I have selected the ASIO driver and configured the input/output on all 32 channels. Mackie control is set to MIDI in and MIDI out but still not sound. What am I missing?BTW, i have set the X32 to received it input from the DAW card configured in auditionAny help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to install audition CS6 in my macbook and after I download the 387mb dmg file I click on install and an error message pops up and says "We've encountered the following issues  Installer failed to initialize.  This could be due to a missing file.  Please download Adobe support advisor to detect the problem".  I am in real need of this working in my macbook, can somebody help me?  (also, I ran the adobe cloud cleaner tool as well) Jim

Is there a way to cut out all similar Audiospectra of a Track and put them on a separate additional new Track.Once you marked a specific pattern of audiospectra you can tell Au to learn the pattern for Noice-Reduction/Soundremoval - but I would not only remove it but cut it out an put it on a separate Track (of corse remaining the original timemanagement).For example: I would like to split a track of clear speech and end up with several tracks - each containing only a different syllable/speachsound over the whole time - is there a automized way without doing it manually for each syllable? - I know it is hard to differentiate between the harmonic sounds like A,I,E - but it doesnt need to be that accurate and even the sound quality of the output-tracks doesnt really matter - the tracks would later be used to trigger shape-keys in a 3D-Modell via F-Curve and to help with the overall lipsync-animation.I really would appreciate your help.THX!Deutsch:Ich möchte eine Audiospur (klare Sprache)
