How can we generate noise from a sample, please? Thanks anyone
Hi,I have problems with lag/latency/delay when scrolling and zooming in Adobe Audition CC.It is really bugging me, as I can not work very fast.I am currently running Adobe Audition CC 2017 10.1.1.11 on a late 2015, fully specced iMac 27". I have tried deleting cache-files and have also looked through my settings, where everything sems to be as it should.Do any of you have a solution or tip that might sort it out? Thanks in advance,Magnus
Hello! Every day I find out for myself something new in the field of audio post-production. And this community helps me a lot in this! Thank you! I finished mixing the first feature film with surround sound for the film festival. And I have a couple of questions about how to properly use the reverb for mixing.I have different tracks with DX, FX, MX. And now I need to add to them different types of reverb (room, street, echo). I have only one SEND channel with Altiverb in Pre-Fader mode, which I can connect to each track in Adobe Audion CC. It's not clear to me how I should switch to another type of reverb, if for example on one track with a dialogue, I have a voice that's on the street, then in the room. Same thing with the effects. I need to quickly switch. And this greatly hampered my movement. After all, as far as I understand, it's best to use reverb on the SEND channel, than on each individual audio track? All my dialogue tracks are sent to DX Bus. From there, I'll connect the SEND
Hi all,I'm a vfx artist but lately have been doing quite a few small jobs shooting and then editing - go to whoa. Being from the visual side audio is definitely not my strong suit so hoping someone has some advice on a problem I recently encountered. I recorded a speaker (a sort of Ted-talk style presentation) on a Rode SmartLav mic recording to an iPhone. While most of the recording was great and just needed a bit of noise reduction and balancing there are maybe up to a couple of dozen of these massive glitches or dropouts (sorry I don't know the correct term for them) that appear scattered through the timeline - seemingly at random. they are very short duration but massive. They don't appear to be pops or plosives or where he's bumped the mic or anything or where there's loud laughter from the crowd or anything like that. Speaking as a visual guy, I've found Audition a great tool - being able to paint on the patch you want to manipulate?!! AWESOME!! It has done an impressive job of c
Hey there Adobe users,I have some audio that sounds clean for the most part, but there are a couples of places where the mic just goes crazy and there's a huge static spike, sometimes it's when the person isn't talking at all. That's easy to fix, by just bringing up the orange and purple noise graph (don't know what it's called), highlighting the static spike, and then deleting that portion. But other times it's when the person is talking, I am guessing that because the spike in static may land in the same frequencies as speech, it's going to be hard to isolate it and remove it, correct? And the first spike is probably unworkable, but what about the second slight one? Please listen to the excerpt below, and suggestion some possible fixes.Vocaroo | Voice messageThank you!EDIT: Tried using the healing brush, but that sort of just smudges all the frequencies together.
I've been having an issue the last few weeks, where when i'm in a multitrack session, and i'm using a rack effect multiband compressor track FX, as soon as I put the track into write/touch automation mode and then touch the fader, the FX disappears, even though it is powered and looks like it should be working. I'm using the latest version of Audition on Windows 10 PC.The only way to get the FX back on it, is to stop the track playing and turn the track automation to read, then change the compressor preset to something else and change it back, but again when I put the track back into Write/Touch or move fader it loses the FX again. I'm only using the volume automation lane.I deleted my Audition settings data and created a brand new session and still can replicate this bug.Have also tried this on a Mac using the latest audition and can replicate the bug there too.Can someone else replicate this?
Hi All,I've scoured the forums and discussions to see if anybody is having the same issue as me but I can't seem to find any. I'll try to explain it and see if anyone can help.I recently got some new equipment to setup a podcast at my work. I'm no audio engineer but I was able to set it up and successfully record our first podcast. I have 4 Audio Technica BPHS1 Studio headsets that I use as mics. I feed those into a Tascam US-4x4 Audio interface that then feeds via USB into Audition to record.I was able to record 4 guests speaking just fine, no problems there. Audio sounded great. My problem is playback. When I playback the audio I get a strange hiss that only comes up whenever someone talks- its not a background hiss (like an AC unit) or constant hum- it's almost like it's attached to the vocals themselves. When I was recording it was crystal clear, but on playback and on the mixdown .wav file, the hiss is there. So at first I thought I had a bad mic and I started soloing some tracks t
I have a WMV video track and its playing back real choppy.I have about seven tracks of audio (not heavy FX on them) and my video track is the top track. It starts out playing OK, then after 30 seconds or so, really gets choopy and starts to miss chunks frames.I played back the same video in Windows Media Player, its fine. I have a multitrack project open in Reaper on the same machine with the same video, its fine. This seems to happen in Win10 more,... in Win7 the same project with CS6 seems to be OK.Any ideas?
I imported an audio file with some female vocals in it to Adobe Audition. Then i analyzed this file's pitch and recorded my own voice in Melodyne. I raised pitch to the same level as in the audio file and then imported it to Audition. I opened frequency analysis for audio file and clicked scan selection to get average frequencie levels. To me it seemed strange that all the frequencies were below -40 db. Then i clicked on different spots on audio file and it was same, altough frequencies varied they never got to positive range. But nevertheless i wrote down all the frequencies and their amplitudes and opened 30-band EQ for my recording and applied these amplitudes for frequencies. But then when i played my recording it was complete silence. Altough the frequency analysis was quite similar to the audio file. Can anyone tell what did i do wrong? Or why amplitudes are so low? Sorry for my bad English. English is not my mother language. Thanks in advance
Hello^^ 2 days ago I got the demo version of Adobe Audition CC 2017.My Problem is, when I go to the Plug-In manager, there are many Plug-Ins shown, which are not functioning? Also, there are just VST3 Plug-Ins and no VST Plug-Ins?Can Adobe Audition just go with VST or why are my Plug-Ins not working?I hope someone will reply soon and sorry for my bad english^^
I wanted to use Melodyne in Adobe Audition CC 2017 but it is not there so where can I get it?Sorry for my bad english^^
I am just looking for an A to Z list of steps while editing my podcast. I've been at it for almost a year and I still don't know exactly what I should do initially. For example (I have done normalizing, dessers, match loudness, etc.) I still don't know what I should do first, second, and last. I would greatly appreciate a straight forward example to work off of.just to give an idea of my set up I have a small room that has acoustic foam on the wall, we use condenser mics, and an H6 ZOOM.
In Premiere when the timeline is playing, if I click later in the timeline the playhead goes straight to that position, I can then press play again and the timeline will play from that position. This is a great way to be able to skip through clips and get a quick idea of what is in it.In Audition though when the timeline is playing, if I click later in the timeline instead of the play head moving I get a second semi transparent playhead (dotted red line vs solid red line), and if I then press play again it simply pauses. Is there any way to make Audition's timeline to work similar to Premiere's?
In older versions of Adobe Audition, when working on a track, the window title for audition would show the name of the track you were working on, or "untitled" if it hadnt been named yet.Now on the Editor tab, you get that information, but the Window title for Adobe never changes. Is it possible to get that functionality back? I've looked through the settings and cannot find something to enable this.

Hello. I am using a MacBook Pro and I'm currently working on a movie trailer project in which I am providing the voiceover by selecting Effects > Silence in the Waveform Editor Tab. But after that, I want to reverse the process. How do I do that? Thanks in advance!
So I sent in a sequence from premiere and I noticed that all of the clip volume envelopes (Yellow lines on clips) were set higher than default first off. If I match to 1770 loudness preset, the clips are super high. Any tips here?
I work with broadcast television, and it often happens that the producers will make changes in video and audio, in the (almost) finished product.I don´t want to make the sound all over again just because there are changes in premiere edditing along the way ..I'm not very experienced in audition yet, hope you understand my question?
hola¡ tengo el problemas con el adobe audition. cuando lo estoy utilizando me sale el aviso que dejo de funcionar. por favor si alguien me pudiera ayudar con esto se lo agradeceria mucho.
Hello.I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch, mid 2012, Mac OS Sierra: Version 10.12.5 and I have a question regarding Audition CC. I currently working on a project that involves adding soundtrack to a video movie trailer and that part worked out just fine. The problem is, every time I attempt to save my project in Audition and transfer it to iMovie, the file is greyed out. I tried saving the project as a "Save As" but the only format it offers to save it is ".sesx". I also attempted to save it by exporting as: File > Export > Multitrack Mixdown > Entire Session. Unfortunately, that didn't work either. I even attempted to use WinX DVD Ripper for Mac as a way to convert it into an MP4, with the same result. Grrrrrr!!!! This is very frustrating considering I put a lot of hard work into this.Is there some way to save my project in Audition and then transfer it to iMovie or is this an option that Audition does not offer? If it's the latter, am I better off just working on my project entirel
Hey all,I'm fairly new to using Audition, and I've noticed that when I'm recording an audio channel, videos in my web browsers (like YouTube or Twitch) stop playing. When I un-check the record box in audition and refresh the webpage the video begins playing normally again. Does anyone else know of this or how to fix it/stop it from happening? It seems very strange to me. Thanks in advance!
I'm trying to record a track and just recently downloaded Audition. When I create a new audio file and record, if i jump up pitch just slightly then it jumps up more as if there was already autotune. I'm trying to record pure natural vocals and for whatever reason they are enhanced the second I record them? Does anybody have a fix for this.. maybe it's in some settings I don't yet know about? Help is appreciated!
Hi, i need to know if Adobe Vocal Spectrum allow to get vocal spectrum of a voice (audio file or real time voice as input) and, moreover, provide API (possibly REST) to work with the results.Thank you a lot guys.

Hello all,I have just opened up Audition CC 2014 and got this error dialog. "Audition's primary temp volume cannot be found. Please review Audition's disk cache preferences"Would I be right in saying this error has occurred because the disk cache hasn't been created properly when it loaded? When I look in Preferences > Media & Disk Cache > Primary Temp, I see that the link is pointing to version 6. Am I supposed to create this folder myself? I am a bit confused. I'd appreciate any help here.Cheers,Ben.
