Hi there, I've recently downloaded and installed the Adobe Audition 3.0 software released by Adobe in 2013 for free, and unlocked it using the publicly accessible universal serial number. But now I have a massive problem. As soon as I want to start the program, the following error message appears (see screenshot): "Adobe Audition could not find a supported audio device. Please check your device settings." My laptop runs under Windows 10 Education (Version 1903). All audio and device drivers should be up to date. What can I do to get the program to run (several boot-ups, shutdowns, uninstalling and reinstalling attempts have already been tried)? If you need more information, don't hesitate to ask. Many thanks and best regards! PS: The installation itself was complicated enough: When I tried to run the "Audition 3.0 Setup.exe" file, a window appeared where I could select the language - but after the selection nothing more happened. Instead I had to inst
Some 3rd party fx plugins result in an undesired fade-in after Applying via the Effects Rack in the Waveform Editor.I demonstrated the problem in an attached screenshot and audio file, in which I generated white noise and applied the effect. This issue is repeatable even when the mix within the plugin is set to zero. The fade length ranges from 100-1000ms depending on the plugin. I've experienced this with Valhalla VintageVerb/Delay/Ubermod (supermassive works fine), Arturia Spring, and SoundToys FilterFreak among other plugins. Most plugins work fine (no issues with FabFilter, Goodhertz, others). I experimented, applying the exact same processing to the same files using RX10, Logic and Ableton and this does not occur. I've experienced this bug for years now and have reported it many times. I've also reported this to Valhalla and Arturia. Please fix this!
Hello, I have a problem with my audition 3.0, I install it in my new PC (Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series ) with windows 10 and i keep getting a Microsoft visual C++ Runtime library error. I have installed all Visual C++ Redistributable. Uninstall and install again. but haven't manage to fix it. It doesn't create the setting folder in the AppData folder so i can try the method of deleting or renaming the folder. I installed it in a friends computer with windows 10 and it seems to be working fine there.Any help is appreciated Best RegardsLeoOperating system: Windows 10 homeprocessor: i7-7500URam: 16GB Graphics: Intel HD graphics 620
After a year of flawless movement, Audition's playhead today started moving jerkily. For any audio editor to function AT ALL, it has to have some graphical element (Audition's "playhead"), that moves instantaneously along the waveforms, matching the sound being played over the PC to the waveforms associated with that sound. The work I do in Audition is IMPOSSIBLE without this most basic function. For the first year of steady use, Audition did this perfectly. But today, mid-session, it shifted to jerky movement. Now it jumps position every 200 to 400 ms, then freezes in the new position, motionless until the next jump (200-400 ms later). This started occurring midway through Audition editing work on a single .wav file today. One moment the playhead position was moving normally. The next, it only moves by jumps and freezes.I had nothing else running on my PC. I have not recently installed any new hardware, software, driver updates, or accepted recen
After I click on "Save as", the recording goes to my file. But where do I go to bring that recording back so I can edit it? Thanks!
Greetings! Can we expect a new edition of classroom in a book series for Audition this year? I'm seeing the last one was published in 2018. thanks! -BB
Hey All, I am new to Audition and accidentally deleted an effect preset instead of removing it. How can I restore this deleted preset? It is a default preset that came with Audition- I didn't create it myself. Thank you!
I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I've been doing Zoom Adobe training with someone who uses two screens for their administrative workflow. The issue is, when they open an Audition project on their end, the multitrack window is blank. We did find a blue multitrack option in one of the left hand panes. But when they click on it, it opens the multitrack in a separate window, sort of floating above the background screen. Is there a way to embed the multitrack window back into the multitrack screen? I'm sure it has something to do with their use of duel screens, but I have no clue how to fix it. Joey
Greetings, Just yesteday, and last night on a different machine (which hasn't been updated yet), the Denoise plugin was working in the multitrack session. Now, with the recent update, the DeNoise plugin only works for waveform, but sliding the 0% to 100% noise reduction back and forth, regardless of the targeted frequences, removes no noise at all when using in multitrack. This appears to be a bug, considering is was working on two entirely different machines (one in the network zone, one outside the network zone) very recently.
Pretty new to Audition, but climbing the steep hill as I edit an audiobook... I am wondering if there is a toggle or something so that I can see the 'edges' of clips (say, pasted in room tone over top of heavy breathing) in Wave form editor? In multi-track (this is not a multi-track file, just a mono) I can see the edges and slide them, but in Waveform, after I past in a clip, there is no visual evidence I made the paste? Or if i wanted to paste in some intro/outro music and add a fade in/out - without edges to the clip I can't adjust the fade? I must be missing something obvious. Either in setup or the workflow of Audition. Thanks.
This is making me a little crazy. Intermittently and with no apparent reason, pinch and zoom will just stop working temporarily in Audition. I can scroll and otherwise manipulate the session, but cannot pinch and zoom. If I bring the pointer up to the zoom bar I can use that, but can't zoom from the trackpad. If I click around in the timeline and just keep pinching and zooming it eventually comes back. I'm going a little nutty here. Anyone have any suggestions? Running the latest version of CC Audition, 22.5 on a 2017 MacBook Pro.
I have been adjusting my audio hardware preferences to assure I have the laptop speakers selected as the default output. I'll get about a second of the WAV file to play and then no audio even though the level bars are moving. I was using a preview file from Adobe Stock, but I don't believe that is the issue because I opened an old Multitrack from a different project with no stock, and the same results happened. I am using the 2024 version of Adobe on Windows 11.
Using Audition build 24.0.3.3 on Windows 10 Pro 22H2 When I'm working in an Audition multi-track session, I'll sometimes accidentally hit the "M" key to leave a marker when I have a clip selected. Usually I either meant to put the marker in the project and not the clip, or meant to hit a different key or combo, but now I have a marker INSIDE the clip. Even if I immediately UNDO and the marker is no longer there, Audition still insists, the next time I save my project, on re-writing the clip to disk. This is incredibly frustrating because A) nothing has materially changed about the file, B) it takes a long time to perform the save on a 2 hour audio block and takes me out of my flow, and C) I'm usually working in MP3, meaning it's re-saving in a lossy format and losing some data.
Hi, I have trouble, I have bought 110 new UAD plugins bundle and got them successfully into the Audition, but it appears that the list is too long to show everything in the selection window during choosing plugin. And what is worse - this list in unscrollable, so I can use barely half of it. Can anybody help me, Thank you.
I feel very comfortable if Audition can copy paste the effects from one clip to another clip directly without any preset options as like premiere pro can.If we open a audio clip from premiere pro to audition, that clip will be exported and opens in audition. I don't know if this can be possible or not, but.. If the clip can directly open without exporting, then we can also modify the clip timings. i.e: In and Out extensions/ Trimming or extending.
Issue: Audition does not show any markers in the Markers Panel when adding markers to a multitrack session.Audition Version: 23.3.0.55OS Version: macOS Monterey 12.1 Steps to Reproduce: Create a new multitrack session and add audio file to a track Add markers to any point in the timeline and Press M to add a marker. Expected Result: Audition should list the marker in the Markers Panel where you can edit its position (and end, if ranged marker) and change its type. Actual Result: Audition creates a marker but not list it in the Markers Panel, even after restarting the application.
Someone posted about this issue previously but it didn't appear to be resolved and now I have the same issue.I'm getting no sound on Audition 3.0 during playback. The waveform is there but no matter what I do I can't hear anything. I also have Audacity on this PC and that works fine, along with other programs. Have I missed something really obvious? I'm using Adobe Audition 3.0 and my PC is a Dell (Inspiron 3650)
My saved wav form was 30.4 minutes, the radio says its 20 minutes what could have happened?
Audition 2024MacOS Sonoma After a recent system restore from a MacOS Time Machine backup I am unable to successfully launch Adobe Audition. The application will launch and get hung up at the initializing (audio devices) stage. I have tried launching the app while holding the shift key.I have uninstalled the application, restarted my computer, and reinstalled the app. Crash.Used the CC cleaner, restarted, and reinstalled the app again. Crash.
Hello, I am super super new with this software.I have some issues and I can't record above 15hz and my client ask me to be 20hz and above. Also audition doesnt let me record or I have a hard time to record. All the files I upload are set up at 15hz. It is set up at 48000, mono like my clients requested. What are the extra setting should I do to make it work ? Also, how do I record or convert in wav ?
In every other piece of professional audio software I am aware of, I can share effect presets with others by finding the file, such as "giant_reverb.pst" etc., and sending to someone else who drops it in the same place on their computer, or imports, or whatever. In Audition 2018, these seem to be stored in a big single XML file. Can this really be true? Is there no way to share? I just spent all day creating presets to share with a co-worker, but now I find there is no way to share just the relevant presets without sharing the rest. This is a stunning omission IMO, and not realistic for a product that could be used by multiple people in a company, studio, band, etc.
PLEASE can we incorporate folders in Adobe Audition for basic organization! We need to properly collect similar audio assets together, the majority of which have very disimilar file names, into nicely organized folders so that sound design isn't a completely nightmare in Audition.
Greetings,I know that Audition's multitrack feature has a nice option to import multiple tracks either on a single track in the editor, or if you hold the alt key when you drop in the imported tracks, they all go to their own track.Importing Multiple TracksImporting Multiple Tracks while holding the Alt Key (or Option, for mac users) What I am wondering if there is a way to import tracks to the multitrack editor such that each import is on its own track and adjusted in the timeline to the end time of the track directly above it? Like this:For context, I'm editing recordings consisting of multiple takes. I've already spliced them up and ran a batch process on filters for them and the easiest method for me to listen to the takes when choosing the best one is to stack them like this. However it gets time consuming to adjust their location in the timeline. If there isn't a way to do this, would Adobe consider implementing a feature like this given that the lengths of the tracks ar
Creating a feature that allows the history to be exported to a text format for Adobe Audition or to be embedded in the metadata of the processed audio (similar to what exists in Photoshop), this would allow seeing exactly what was done to the audio file and provide traceability to the changes, in the forensic field it would be very helpful.
I am using Adobe Audition 2020 to record podcasts. I am using an audio interface Behringer U-phoria UMC404HD 4 channel. When i tried to record in audition, it only has 2 audio input channels, but we use 3 mics. All 3 mics are plugged in the interface but only the 1 and 2 show up in mapping. I tried downloading and enabling ASIO but Audition still only shows 2 channels. I then downloaded an older driver version from Behringer (the new edition driver only enables 2 channels at a time.) I now see all 4 lines in the Audio Hardware section (I am using WASAPI and the interface) but when i go to Audio Hardware Mapping, it still is only 2 channels. I feel like im missing something. Can someone please help me get the third mic to work? We use the waveform audio file, not the mutli track session.
