To reproduce:Open "Delete Silence" tool and select some sane thresholdsSelect ~60 min or longer of audio and click "Scan"Detected silence segments include long sections of audio, as if the thresholds were invisibly changed. The number of segments detected is also much smaller than it should be.If you reduce the audio selection slowly (e.g. from 60min to 50min, then 40min, 30min, etc.) and scan at every duration, at some point, it will start working correctly again. Number of segments detected goes from something like 26 to 498 when I shorten the duration from 34min to 33min. This makes no sense, because it longer duration must have more segments.From the behavior, it seems like when more than 500 segments of silence are present, it gives the wrong result.

After importing a file in Audition (26.5), when I close the application, the audition.exe and crashpad_handler.exe processes remain running forever. AI reports the problem to be an Adobe bug:free_adobe_read_context shuts down a tokio runtime from a DLL-unload / atexit destructor, which isn't safe during ExitProcess. Im working on a translating voice over project. the video reference with the audio track im translating freezes and goes black, audio keeps playing but nothing shows on video panel. i need to see the video to make sure i am doing the voice over properly. any ideas as to why it happens?it will start playing good and about half way through it stops. i listen to the audio only to do voice over but at times it wont match the video. for example they pointed to the camara to talk to audience i didnt know and it was way out of sync. 

In Audition v26.0, the Frequency Analysis scan results (Channel 1 / Channel 2 / Average) displayed frequency and amplitude values with fixed 2‑decimal precision. This made the data easy to read and compare, especially when calculating channel differences or EQ adjustments.Starting in v26.3, the bottom portion of the Frequency Analysis panel began showing full floating‑point numbers (e.g., 43.5744743347 Hz). This is a regression from v26.0.In v26.5, Adobe fixed the top readout so it’s rounded again, but the bottom table is still unfixed and continues to output raw float values. This makes the scan results inconsistent and much harder to use for workflows that rely on stable, fixed‑precision numbers.Request: Please apply the same rounding/formatting fix used for the top readout to the bottom table of the Frequency Analysis scan results, restoring the v26.0 behavior (2‑decimal precision).Thanks for looking into this — it’s a small UI detail, but it has a big impact on analysis workflows.

When I attempt to use any UAD plug in, the software immediately crashes. This has never happened before and started with the latest update.  

Using virtual WASAPI cables to use two USB mics in Audition, but has problems with Audition’s WASAPI inputs, and crackling sound on recording.Steps to Reproduce: Route a USB microphone(s) through Elgato Wave Link virtual mixer. Set Audition Audio Hardware to WASAPI. Select relevant Wave Link Stream/s as the input on each relevant track. Record audio or listen through monitor. Audition completely unusable. It launches, displays the Learn Panel, and then freezes within 5–10 seconds. The UI becomes unresponsive: Menu items turn gray, the Learn Panel shows a blue highlight border, and the application stops, freezes my entire system & requires a hard reboot. This happens with every single launch, even after “clean” reinstalls and resets!I have fully uninstalled Audition, Creative Cloud, and all other Adobe apps. I have manually deleted all Adobe folders in Program Files, Program Files (x86), AppData, (Local and Roaming) removed leftover CEP, CEF, and WebView2 components, and reinstalled cleanly.Additionally, I have deleted all workspace files (except a custom “NoLearn” workspace created to attempt launching without the Learn Panel,) and edited AuditionPrefs.xml to disable it and set NoLearn as the default. I have deleted recovery files after each crash, and even attempted Shift‑launch to bypass previous sessions.Further, I have renamed Learn Panel extension

Since my update to Audition v 26.3 the Amplitude Statistics display shows my display has changed to show more digits than before, changing from 2 numbers after the decimal point to 15 numbers after the decimal point. I can't seem to change it, very annoying as I have to stretch the column width open to see the first digits before the decimal point, plus it won’t keep the column width every time I go away from it.

This issue has been known for years, but Adobe refuses to fix it.  We pay good money for your products.  FIX THIS ISSUE…When running Audition in Windows on a high DPI monitor, with the display set to any scaling other that 100% or 200%, the playhead changes width each time it is stepped through a waveform.  Wide, narrow, wide, narrow, etc.  100% makes everything way too small, and 200% makes everything too large.The only “fix” is to set the application properties to override the high DPI scaling behavior, but this makes some elements of the UI too small.  We should not have to do this on a modern, expensive application.  PLEASE FIX THIS!

I have to change the media type and then I am able to do so.

Audition won't open FX3 top handle mic audio when 4-track recorded (XAVC HS)—works fine with dual-track. Workaround: exporting tracks individually in Premiere Pro, which wastes time. Any fix?

FYI, bug stills present in the latest Update (Win x64).Repro steps :1. Use the Paintbrush tool to erase some freqs in the Spectral view2. Immediately Zoom-out or Zoom-in the Spectral view with the scroll-wheel3. Bug: Audition freezes for a while then crashes.4. Issue appears both on a Laptop (Intel CPU/Gfx) and a Desktop (AMD CPU/Gfx).

Hello,On Windows, some of us install our Plugin Files & Data in a dedicated External Drive for speed and safekeep, instead of the default path.Issue:Audition looks only for .VST3 in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3, and assumes the custom locations specified by the user only have VST2 (.dll) files.Not sure what was the logic behind this decision, but that’s most likely an easy fix.

Adobe Audition's Delete Silence feature doesn't understand the concept of silence or sound in hour long audio clips. It'll scan and leave me with basically the entire track set for deletion. (FTR, defining silence "For more than 2000" does work, but it's not ideal since it leave a lot of silence that you would otherwise want gone). 2026-07-18 

Audition 26.0.0.56 does not work properly with Huion Keydial Mini on Mac OS 15 – buttons execute different functions than assigned (it works fine on Audition 2025 though)

After choosing a time frame, scanning it through frequency analyzer window and then clicking copy all graph data, when I pasted I just got one row with 4 cells containing Freq, left, right an mean (it’s a stereo WAV). All data are just not transmitted. I fixed this issue by downloading an older version, so I believe it’s a new problem.

As of June 17th 2026, the tools and edit is not working I don’t receive an error but the menu bar is just blank sometimes it’ll come up, but when I hit “organize” the next screen is blank I’ve done all the things.  Updated, uninstalled, reinstalled.it’s still happening  

I regularly use several apps in parallel when I’m working with audio (Audition, Cubase, MATLAB, Amazing Slow Downer, etc.) and often, when I switch back to Audition, it has stopped responding, and requires that I do a Force Quit to work with it again.A second bug related to this: when it happens, and I double-click the file I was working with (to restart Audition), I’m told that a previous session ended unexpectedly, and I’m offered the Later/Delete/Open choice about what to do with the recovered session.  Since I want to ignore the recovered session and start over (with the file I’m trying to open), I select Delete, but this results in an empty session; I have to quit and double-click the file again.

When opening various VST plugins (from UAD to FabFilter), the plugin interface screens are blank. Just black. If I close the plugin and re-open, they are normal. I can still execute the plugin from the blank screen, but obviously can’t adjust anything. This just started happening a week or so ago.

Auto Save is not functioning properly in Adobe Audition. It fails seemingly at random. After hours of continuous work and attempting to open a version from five, ten, or twenty minutes ago, I navigate to my Auto Save folder and there are gaps of two to three hours.I am running version 25.0.0.56 on a 2021 MacBook Pro, Tahoe 26.5. My Auto Save folder is set to Documents/Audition Auto Save on my MacBook internal hard drive. I am working on the sound design of a feature film broken up into five 20 minute reels, and each reel is its own project file. I am referring to Multitrack projects, and the issue of Multitrack projects not Auto Saving. My Auto Save settings are to save a backup every three minutes, with a maximum of 10 files. I should also note that the limit of 10 does not hold true either, necessarily, sometimes it is more than 10 files. I first noticed the Auto Save malfunction when anyone would--when I messed something up, saved, and wanted to revert to a version from five or ten

Every time I double click a track on the multitrack view to edit it in the waveform view, and then try to record, the input level halves or is reduced even more. If I go back out and then go back in to record again, the input level gets even smaller. This bug is HUGE and is ruining my workflow.
