disclaimer: I believe I haven't grasped yet the basic concepts of sharing and file management. let's start with the basics. We have 10 people with full CC subscriptions, with a library of few thousands photos. We need to share this library, including meta-data.The pics could then be used in an Adobe project (PS, AI, InD), or downloaded to use elsewhere (eg: powerpoint). I would like then to have an interface where I can search images from this library, based on metadata, proprieties.[nice to have ] I would also like to have auto-recognition, a là google photos (face recognition, colors, environment, location), and search by that.I would then like to have a web based interface for at least searching/downloading.What is the best channel/tool to manage such shared libraries ? is it bridge, or am I looking in the wrong place? (Elements? Lightroom?)If it's bridge, does it cover all the above, or should it be integrated with other services?thanks in advance
It's time for me to once again vent my frustration with Bridge [2021]. Ah, the good old days of Bridge CS5... I am [still] on MacOs Mojave (I generally avoid OS upgrades until the "last minute" as I rarely gain anything worthwhile while risking breaking my workflow). While the Bridge 2020 became relatively stable and usable (albeit with glaring ergonomic problems discussed in another one of my threads), the 2021 "upgrade" is just a pain in the a**e. With the disasterous release of Photoshop 2021 (where it could no longer even save a file!!!) and it taking some time to be fixed and stable, I was compelled to keep Ps and Br for 2020 and 2021where I would wait until there was a proper fix for Ps 2021 before uninstalling Ps 2020. Anyways. I have installed/uninstalled Bridge 2021 a couple of times to see if it would fix its unreasonable apetite for CPU - even once it has seemingly calculated the thumpnails for a folder, it continues to hog the CPU for at leas
Running Bridge 11.0.1.109 on Big Sur 11.2.3 For some time now when I copy or move files using Bridge, the progress bar advances at most 5% to 10% and no further and does not reflect the actual progress of the action. It does go away when the action is complete but I have to open the finder to see just how things are progressing. Bridge's indicator is not reliable at all.
in Bridge CC2018 wurden Einstellungen wie Metadaten Vorlage - erweitertes Dialogfeld - Unterordner erstellen usw. von der letzten Verwendung gespeichert - in Bridge 21 muss immer wieder alles neu definiert werden . . . kann man dass umstellen ??
Hello, I've been using bridge for over 10 years now. This issue is a new one for me and has been happening for the last year or so. It's random but often enough to be a nuisance. When renaming a folder, the renaming quits part of the way through and hold with the renaming dialog box sticking. I have to force quit Bridge and then my files are partly named and the rest are an adobe extension. Then I have to manually reorder the images and then rename again.
How do I completely disble stacking in Bridge? It is stacking files that don't belong together. I want to turn if off completely.
Hi, I'm having trouble finding out something that should be simple.I need to make a contact sheet using Br, where both file name and dimensions can be seen below each picture. Can't find a way so if anyone does, please help.If not available, Adobe, please update Br to be more efficient as doing the whole process manually is time consuming and technology should be here to help, right?🙂
While on my last trip, I accidently setup my camera to take Raw + small jpg. No big deal, that isn't too much memory, so I didn't really worry about it. When I got home, the jpg files were copied to my hard drive along with the raw files. So, I went to delete the jpgs and I realized something. Bridge runs very fast when it's drawing thumbnails and previews of small jpg images. I got to thinking. Wouldn't it be cool to make a script that would take your raw+jpg from the camera and convert each pair into a stack with the jpg on top. This would enable bridge to run much more quickly since it wouldn't need to render all those raw image thumbs and previews. Hmmm....now where to start....I looked around at the scripting language for photoshop. since I have written a little bit of javascript, I thought I would start there, but I can't find where the stack property is kept in metadata or the DOM. Any ideas of where I might turn from here?
I was contemplating getting a newer operating system as well as a newer Mac in the near future and ran Go64 which reports what programs are 64-bit and what is 32-bit which would no longer run. It reports, in part, that while Adobe Bridge 2021 version 11.0.1.109 is a 64-bit application, one part of the program, Photo Downloader is still 32-bit and would not work. This sub-application is version 8.0 and dates from 2006. First off, what does it do and secondly will it get an update to something newer so it will continue to work in Big Sur and beyond?
I am using Adobe Bridge 11.0.1 with iOS 11.2.3. When I open a RAW image the toolbar controls are corrupted and don't display properly. I deinstalled and reinstalled both the bridge and photshop to no avail. I will post a screen shot of the tool bar. Woulod love to get this to work right if possible.
Anyone have thoughts on why Bridge, for me, is slow to start regenenerating new thumnails after makng adjustments to files? My senarios- I open a bunch of raw files (25-100) from Bridge. Opening them with Adobe Raw. I edit/make adjustments to files I've opened, save adjusted files as jpgs to a different hard drive, click "done" in Adobe Raw, go back to Bridge and wait for the thumbnails of the files I just worked on to regenerate new thumbnails that reflect the adjustment I just made. I sometimes have to close/open Bridge to get the thumbnail generation process to begin. Once the thumnails begin regenerating, the process continues quickly and smoothly.
Hi there,As I have stated in my initial response. Adobe Bridge is not completely free, however, it can be downloaded through the Creative Cloud desktop app. As long as you’re signed in to the Creative Cloud desktop app. And yes, you'll be able to use certain features in Bridge which doesn't require you to have or launch a qualifying product.Regards,Sahil
I upgraded my Nikon D850 to a Nikon Z7 and Bridge is no longer converting the raw NEF files files from the Z7 to DNG files upon import. With that said, the stand alone DNG file converter application will convert the files, but that is a longer work flow that I'm used to. Is there a solution to to this issue, or will it just take time for Adobe to catch up with the Nikon Z7 files?
I'm building a website for the sale and digital download of my images. I'm using Envira gallery and related plugins, WooCommerce and the WordPress environment. I've created galleries using low-res, watermarked images that are right-click protected. The browser can select images which are automatically placed in the cart. My problem is linking the high-res original images for download, to the low-res images they've selected from the gallery. Thus far, it seems that I must create links for every single one of the thousands of images...one by one. Is there any way to link the images in any of the outside applications such as Bridge or other Adobe application that will transfer into the Wordpress environment? Can it be done in bulk, matching the images by filename? Something tells me this is not the proper forum to pose these questions, but I'm not sure where elese to turn beyond the limitations I keep facing in the Wordpress support environment. Any advice or referral would be g
Anyone else having issues with how slowly Bridge is operating?
Hi there,I just installed the new 2021 version and my first impression is that it's extremely slow.Even when browsing files it freezes for a second or two. When try to open a file in Photoshop it takes ages, as well...Very boring! Do I need to change a setting or two?I run it on Windows 10 and have 16GB RAM. I had no such problems with the previous version.Thank you!
Have the latest version of Bridge on my Mac, which is also up to date but every time I go to use Bridge is comes up with an error message and I have force quit it to get out - what is going on? Is there any help for this?
I know the title sounds strange, I'm still open to suggestions as to how to tackle what I'm trying to do. But basically, I wanted to do a workaround to write metadata for some file types, namely, I wish to add keywords and some notes to audio files or file formats that don't normally support them. And I thought that I could create a file with the same name as the file I'm interested in, but append "-meta" at the end. So I'd do something like:- MyMusicFile.mp3- MyMusicFile-meta.jpg (still checking which file format has the best metadata compatibility). And edit the "-meta" file information accordingly, which works well enough for my purposes. The only issue with this, is that if I make a smart collection that targets the information for the "-meta" files, the non -meta file won't be added (as expected). My idea was that I could add this as a custom script to enhance smart collections, that upon finding a file named "-meta" before the extension, it will look for a file in the
What has caused my Bridge window, regardless of workspace, to appear essentially black (see screenshot)? And why does the name of a recently viewed folder appear in the title bar of this useless window? Is there something I need to reset? Reinstall Bridge? Thanks for a wise answer.Loren
A huge disappointment and a waste of time calculated in days because a basic functionality that does not work in Bridge. I wanted to apply a Copyright on several of my photos which already contained different information in several other fields. So I selected several photos, I applied the Copyright, in the field provided for this purpose and after applying, Bridge deleted all the information that was different from one photo to another, in all the other fields . It is, however, a basic principle. If the information is different, do not delete it, but only do not touch it and apply only the value to be changed only on the field that I have modified. I lost the equivalent of a week of work due to a ridiculous bug in a basic function that Bridge does not support. What disappointment and rage I felt when I saw this silliness of Bridge. I am really angry with Bridge and Adobe for that, which makes me pay for this product, which makes me very efficient all the same.
In allen anderen Bildbetrachtungsprogrammen habe ich ein normales Bild. Das Einstellung muss ich für Adobe ändern?Vielen Dank für Eure Hilfe.Martin
I try to unstall but still cannot open it.
Why did Creative Cloud symbol in appears on upper right-hand corner in Bridge?
Hey there, I attached a video to this post to show you what I mean. I would like to have my content window thats on the right side of the screen to be bigger and show multiple images in multiple rows, like it did when it was smaller. When I pulled to the size I want, it just dont want to show me multiple rows. This is driving me crazy because it is not very fast to just see 10 images at once in comparison to maybe 50 at once do sort them out . SincerleyMatthias
Bonjour. Merci Moved from Using the Community (which is about the forums) to the correct forum... ModTo ask in the forum for your program please start at https://community.adobe.com/
