Dear all, I'm creating a custom metadata extension for Bridge and I've a little question..I want to be able to add localized metas. The output would be :  <dc:description> <rdf:Alt> <rdf:li xml:lang="fr_FR">Description en fr</rdf:li> <rdf:li xml:lang="oc_OC">Description en oc</rdf:li> </rdf:Alt> </dc:description> Showing example with DC but would be applied to a custom namespace..Using the CC2014 UI SDK and did not find anything about that. Or missed it 😛Thanks a lot ! 

Hi, there About bridge's zoom function,Because the “magnifying glass” function is difficult to use, I want Adobe to make improvements. It was another product, but righthemisphere's "Deep exploration" was easy to use.(now, SAP Visual Enterprise Author) or, If there is a good way to zoom in and zoom out comfortably, please let me know. 

Hi, My images in Bridge are all in the Hidden folder. I cant get it back. Is there a way for me to stop my images from going into the hidden folder. 

Seem to be unable to do clean install of Bridge. What I have right now seems to have some corruptions. I use Revo Uninstaller which removes (I thought) 100% of any software. I want to start clean without any old preferences or old metadata settings in the new install. I clicked no to carrying over preferences and settings every time a popup window asked. The new install is the old install, everything followed! The problems the corruptions are giving me are I use to select a metadata template before downloading from the Flash Card. Now, I select before downloading and then, after downloading, I have to highlight all thumbnails and select the template again for that templete to work. Bridge just decides to download with whatever template it wants. Second problem this corruption does is I used to be able to click once on a thumbnail to work on it. I could double-click to open in Photoshop. Now, if I highlight a thumbnail anywhere (frame or image or file name) Bridge launches Photoshop, la

This is a pretty minor annoyance but it's been coming up for me a lot so I thought I'd post about it. I'm running Bridge 2020, though the same issue existed in 2019, on an imac running osx high sierra. This only occurs when I have multiple windows open in bridge.When I right-click an image and select purge cache for selection, after the thumbnail refreshes if I then immediately hit space to see the image full-screen, bridge will switch to a different open window and show whatever image is selected in that window at full-screen instead.

It used to be that when I hit space to preview an image full-screen, the mouse would disappear when the image came up. At some point that stopped happening, was this a change in Bridge or did I inadvertently change a setting?

When I batch rename selected files in Bridge, it's not renaming some files at the end of the batch. So I'll re-select those ones and try and batch rename them, and it'll do rename a few of them and then leave off some at the end again. It's also changing some JPEG files to CR2 files when I batch rename. 

I've posted a few days ago regarding my Bridge 2020 taking forever to load previews. Seems like the reason it's taking forever is because the previews are HR. I tried switching to Preferred Embeded but it won't switch, even though it says its on Preferred Embeded I still see all the HR previews loading hence it takes forever to generate previews. Any help would be appreciated.  Tried all the obvious fixes, nothing is working. I'm on Win 10, 64GB Ram, Inter iCore7, 6GB Ram video  So far tried rolling back to Version 19 of Bridge and PS, same result.  Thanks

Since updating to Bridge 2020, I have encountered nothing but problems.  Before Bridge 2020, I could open a folder of images in a few seconds.  Now, it takes three to six minutes to open a folder. Then, the process of generating previews (which previously took a minute or two  at most) essentially is never complete.  The program keeps telling me that it is generating previews for the next ten to fifteen minutes, at which point I give up waiting and try to open the images I need in Camera Raw.    This is usually a mistake, because about half the time, when I process the image I want and try to open it in Adobe Photoshop, my whole computer goes nuts. Bridge freezes; Camera Raw freezes.  I wait for five minutes or so.  The freeze is still on.  Bridge says that it is "not responding."   I try to close Bridge and Raw.  Nothing doing.   I go into Task Manager and try to close Bridge and Raw.  Nothing doing. 

Hi, the new version of Bridge is really bad. I have no idea how that program got passed Beta tests? Adobe, do you need help with Project Management? Feel free to give me a call 😉 Anyway, to the issue. When opening the Photo Downloader and selecting "Browse...", the navigation tree is corrupt. Many icons for different locations such as Documents, Downloads, etc. are replaced with black square boxes. Also, I can't navigate to my network mapped drives as Bridge just crashes when selecting one. Finally, like others before me pointed out, settings aren't saved.These issues makes the program unusable. How do I revert back to 2019? /Andreas

When editing images I jump from image to image by using the arrow keys of my keyboard. It takes about 2-3 seconds to jump to the next image.This is horrible. When I perform an action through Tools/Photoshop/Batch/(action), the new saved file loses its star ratings. If I perform an action by just opening a file in Photoshop and saving it, the star ratings remain. What's going on with Batch, and how do I fix it?I've been using Batch to do various Photoshop actions for years and it's always kept the ratings. Then I updated to 2020. After update to 2017 on W10 no more thumbnails for Canon mxf files.In other words cannot play any video.Anyone?

So everything was working fine with bridge until yesterday, when I try to preview RAW files (.NEF) the preview has some weird artifacting on it. Thought it was a problem with my graphics card but no other app does it and everything else works just fine. Any clues as to what might be happening? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice and it doesnt seem to do anything. Also my computer is new so this problem looks like a software issue.  

My 2012 LATE Mini is running AI CC as just purchased two weeks ago. Mini is running 16 Gigs of RAM and  has a 500 Gig SSD My good friend who uses PS has been after me to downlaodd and install Bridge to help me find files faster than manually scrolling and searching. Can anyone send me a link to the proper version of Bridge since my OS prevents me from simply downloading the version featured on Adobe's site. I use AI and an older version of PS to do repetitive engineering/art projects so my knowledge of AI is very specific and limited. All I wanted to do with Bridge is greatly reduce the time it takes to find old files created in AI w/o having to open the files........most of them done in earlier versions of AI, mostly 5.1 CS and 6 CS...... I want to be sure that I'm installing the correct version of Bridge for my OS. I'm too old and am retired, don't want to have to keep the OS upgraded to the latest and createst from Apple much less Adobe and al of my other appls.&

Can someone please give me a basic discription of what Bridge is and why to use it? I'm a photographer and have read up on it plenty but still unsure why I should consider adding it to my workflow. In the past, I just proof what I want to import into LR and just import the rest.... 

After the completion of a series of AI files I would like to see them as a group. To see how they work as a group Bridge is ideal. However there seems no consistency as to how a file is displayed in Bridge. Same size artboards etc come out differently with different borders etc. Any Ideas?

Hello, Since reinstalling my Mac and install Adobe 2020 - I can''t preview videos in Bridge. I hear the sound, but I only get a blank document in the Preview Pan. Help me out here 🙂

Is is possible to lock rating stars or labels so that any other users can´t delete it? Even when they open and re-save the file?Or is there any other feature that can be locked this way? Most preferably a feature that can be set in bulk and filtered in Bridge.Thanks

Hi, we generate tons of illustrations using Illustrator CC, so I started creating a keyword list in Bridge to make searching for stuff easier (the purpose of keywords, of course). I didn't want to get too far in without testing, so I applied a single keyword to an .ai file and searched. No result. It won't find the file. However, if I apply the same keyword to any raster image (.png, .jpg, etc.) it finds the file no problem.  I didn't get any errors when I applied the keyword to the file, and it shows up when I view the Metadata in Bridge. So why won't search find it? Leads me to believe that .ai vector files won't work with keywords. True, or am I just doing something wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Selecting individual PDF files from Bridge with the image processor.Using default setting without changing size just to open PDF and save to JPG.When processing the images are getting distorted according to the last image saved in photoshop and not recognizing the correct size of the PDF.To solve it first I have to open a PDF image and save it in JPG to use the image processor and then it recognizes the size. In other versions of Photoshop this had been fixed. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I work in an office where we are asked to use InDesign 2019 because all of the workstations aren't ready for 2020. My workstation (iMac running OS 10.13.6) downloaded 2020, and as long as I start 2019, my files all open in 2019, so no problem there. But today I discovered that when I select images in Bridge and go to Place in InDesign, it launches 2020, even though I have a file open in 2019. I tried the suggestion in this post:https://community.adobe.com/t5/Bridge/Bridge-2019-gt-Place-in-InDesign-2019-not-working/m-p/10398127#M13281…but it didn't help me. To be sure, I launched Bridge 2019 just in case I had inadvertently started Bridge 2020, but I'm sure that I can't do it from Bridge 2019 either. I could uninstall ID 2020, but I'm hoping there's a solution that I can leave it for when we do all start to use it. Any thoughts?

I installed the update to Bridge.  Now it does not show my desktop files.  Why?  How do I fix this?
