Bridge

I originally set my Adobe Bridge temp folder location to a folder that I no longer use. I was able to reset it to the new folder, but now every time I load Bridge, it regenerates the older folder in the original location. Anyone know why this glitch is happening, or how to clear it? In preferences, the new folder location is set just fine, so not sure where this old directory is persisting in the Bridge config.

I currently am using Adobe Bridge 2019. It works fine except it doesn't always show all the thumbnail images in a folder and shows only a generic jpg place holder. I was in the process of switching to Adobe Bridge 2024. Problem: Some of the keywords I added in the 2019 version don't appear in the keyword list in the 2024 version. Surpisingly, these missing keywords do show below the inage in the 2024 version but not in the keyword list. Any help with either of these problems would be appreciated i.e.:1. How to get all images to appear in the 2019 version and not just the generic placeholder.2. How to get the 2024 version to recognize new keywords added in the 2019 version and add them to the keyword list.Thanks,Bob

Hello All, I am trying to copy an image to another folder and am receiving the below error message.  Appreciate any input and advice.   Temporary work-around is to open the image in Photoshop and resave to the new folder. Thank you.

This is more a rant than a question.  But after 30 years in photoshop, I opened up Bridge, and the whole interface is changed.  As a pro photographer with a very tight workflow, I now struggle to use Bridge frustrated with work piling up.  And mind you I simply need a row of small images with a large image to select, so simple, the filmstrip option in the older versions....which you can't by any means make happen in one click...why did they change that????  I by some magic get that workflow set up with panels, then flash it is gone, back to another setup of panels that does not work for me.... Is there any good video to explain how these panels work and how I can make them work easily and then lock them?  I am really confused and simply need this to work asap so I am not spending 90% of my mental energy fooling around with panels or dreading opening the bridge not knowing what config it might be in this time or what accidental keystroke sends the whole thi

Using Sonoma 14.5 and Bridge 14.1.0.257: 1: All my photos are on ext. drive A. I also have an ext drive that backs up Drv. A called Drv. B.  When I open Bridge it displays all photos on both A and B (Drv. B are all dups). Can I tell Bridge to ingore Drv. B? Looks like I can set it to access all ext. Drives or no Ext Drvs but not pick and choose Ext Drvs.2: Also how do I get Bridge to display all photos on a Drv without having to go through each folder?   

Hello Adobe!Regarding the betas. Ok great you are fixing bugs of stuff that have been reported.But whats going on with the HUGE problem with performance? Are you still working on this or have you given up?? This is REALLY important for you to be transparent about. Is this even fixable, as you said it stems from the new foundation? We had several video-meetings so you are aware of the problem that pretty much the entire community is experiencing. WE need to know if YOU can fix this!Otherwise we need to find replacements!Adobe, please respond. I'm trying to open a png in Camera Raw on Bridge but it's not giving me the option to. (see first image). Ih I have a subscription to the complete Adobe Cloud apps including photoshop. I have tried opening Bridge, opening Photoshop, closing and re-opening Bridge, but nothing changed. The second photo shows that i can open the camera raw preferences, so I don't know why it's not an option? Please help! Thank you! 

 random PS file thumbnails are generating highly distoreted thumbail prviews.thumbnail 1 and 2 are of the same image. one is loading from a PDF file and the distorted one is loading from the PS file.I am on a M1 Mac16GB RAMOS 14.4.1 (23E224)Bridge 14.0.4.222

I am on Mac Sonoma and Bridge 2024.Have reset the preferences and purged all local cache files.  I selected the thumbnail of the image and was able to open the menu under 'Lable' , but it did not respond to my selected rating.  Grateful for your advice.

I'm trying to find a way of searching for files on my hard drive using key words. I have a structured list of my photographs on my hard drive that I usually browse with Bridge.. The number of photos has been growing over the years and I can no longer rely on my memory to find pictures on my hard drive list. So I thought of using Lightroom Classic to asign key words to my photos. If I do this can I use Bridge to search for photos with particular key words that I have asigned in LRC? Currently, my preferred work flow is to browse with Bridge to the picture that I want to edit and then open it in Adobe Camera Raw, do my edits and then open the picture in Photoshop for further work. But I am finding that I am spending more and more time browsing rather than editing! I have tried asigning some key words to pictures imported into LRC, by way of experimentation and then trying to see if I can use the advanced search options in Bridge. Not sure when this changed, but it's very annoying. When an image is selected in the content panel, applying a keyword, filter, etc, changes the "focus" from the privew panel to the subsequent panel. The result is using the arrow keys to selecte another image no longer works. While this may make enigneering sense with diffrent panels, Bridge is one program. The arrow keys should always select images unless an the actual area of the panel is selected. See the attached video of this behavior. The origional version of Bridge didn't do this. This behavoir wastes time and is annoying. To duplicate:1) Select an image in the preview panel2) Apply a keyword, filter, etc.3) Use the left, right, up or down arrow keys. Note how the arrow keys just navigate in the panel just used. This is useless behavior.

Loupe movement in Bridge is "sticky" or "jercky." When using the mouse OR the trackpad, the speed of the curser needs to reach a certain level before the loupe will move. Once it does, it "jumps" too far.There is some kind of bug or issue with the loupe where it ignores low speed mouse moements or something. This makes the loupe view less useful. This has been an issue for at least a version or two. To test:1) Select an image (more than one helps to exaggerate the issue).2) Enable lopue by clicking once in image3) Try to move loupe slowly.4) Notice nothing happens until you move cursor faster. Repeated clicks are randomly needed in the content window after scrolling. Please see attached video.

Beta 14.0.0.57: Locked images can be deleted in full-screen mode. This is a problem. When viewing in full-screen mode, one does not know an image is locked, so this is a problem. Previous versions of Bridge didn't have this problem. Previous versions of Bridge did not allow locked files to be deleted in full-screen mode. Video attached.

I am looking for a way to edit the units shown when doing a batch rename. It defaults to pixels, but I would like for it to output the Height x Width in inches instead. I have already changed my preferences in the Metadata tab to show dimensions (in inches), but it doesn't seem to have worked. Is there any easy way to go about this?

I am labeling some photos from my trip on my laptop. But when I get home, I want to pass all the photos on my desktop to edit them. I wanted to know: If I copy the photos to my desktop, do the labels and ratings passover too? Can I view the labels I put on my laptop on my desktop

I've had a ton of issues with both Bridge and Photoshop crashing over the last few months.  I've uninstalled the entire creative cloud and all apps, and reinstalled them, but they're still crashing.  I have a 2019 MacBook Pro, and all specs support the software. What is the issue??  There isn't a warning, error message, or anything.  They just close, then pop up with the box about sending reports.

If I photograph with Canon R5 and fisheye 8-15 mm. fixes bridge my files. Right when they come in they are "round" like the jpeg files, but after 3 seconds they straighten up. Can this be changed?

When I connect iPhone or Camera via USB, Device not found since the latest Sonoma update. Tried Bridge beta, no luck there. Found something in Known issuses in Apple help. Do not upgrade to Sonoma 14.2 yet.  

I absolutely hate the updated Camera Raw editing.    Very user-unfriendly!!!  Please change it back.  I was in the middle of working on wedding pictures when the update happened.   All of a sudden my workflow slowed to a crawl.  To have to figure out where everything is. PLEASE CHANGE CAMERA RAW EDITING BACK!!!

I'm running Br 14.1.0 on windows 11 64 bit. Recently Br stopped displaying file names below thumbnails and right clicking on a thumbnail does not have an option to rename a file. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Br twice without saving preferences but this hasn't helped.  Can anyone suggest a way to fix these two issues?  Br seems to be operating normally except for the above problems.  Thanks.

I currently experience a strange effect:When I rename and save a "normal" jpg file I had exported from Lightroom (2560*2560, with Meta data) bridge "blows up" the image.From before 4.4MB the image now shows 26.5MB!And size increased from 2560x2560 to 5971x5972!See attached screenshots.How that? What's going on here? I checked settings and disabled some Meta-parameters; and also all references to raw data I found (that was my first idea that Bridge might save as raw, what imO would be stupid 😉 ).I used Bridge many times before and never had this kind of problems!I this the reuslt of the new "AI era"?Thanks for any help/suggestion.I helped myself in sorting in Lighroom, buf prefered continueing using Bridge in future...Hans
