Is it known thing and I can't do anything except turning the mask into square first?
Hello, I'm trying to use the spline mapper grayscale node. When I connect a grayscale node to the Color Map Input, nothing happens. I've confirmed that the Spline Mapper Color node seems to work correctly when I use a color map.
I set up the P4 version control script path according to the official technical documentation. After that, I added and submitted the package file. During the submission process, I always reported an error. ive noticed that when removing an input from a node that has a connection it doesnt remove the input/break the connection automatically? not even with the multi_node_preset. we have to break the connection and then increment/decrement the input number by 1 for it to update. regards,phil
You have a display mode for the Boolean parameter, called "side by side". It does not display correctly in Painter. Can you please fix this, I often make instruments for myself via SD.
Hi, I am trying to load a substance 3D designer file into substance painter and I have this error message:"[EngineProcedural] Failed to decode Substance.resource://your_assets/headLight_generator_controls_v001/headLight_generator?version=987d39414efaa9cf2fae535744e6046c24fc6c59.sbsar" It's not the first time that I experience this issue, the only workaround I found is to copy past all the nodes and redo all the parameter exposition. But in the case of this one it's kind of a complex one and if someone have any idea on how to fix it I'd be glad to have some insight on how to do it.I have no errors in substance designer, everything works nicely, it's just when I export a .sbsar and load it into painter it doesn't work, but the .SBSAR works in substance designer!If someone from the support need the original .sbs file please send me your email and I can email it to you.Thank you for your support!
Hey I have an issue with Substance Designer Exporting textures all in lower case even when I am giving it Upper and lower case in the Output name.
I am trying to leverage graph/node input paramter to control the blending mode of blend node. Seems it cannot work, looks like all value above 0 is treated as 0, so it's always the defalut "Copy" mode. Here's the version information
I always want to fix the docking of the Console window to check the logs, but it gets undocked every time I restart the application. I'd like to know if there is a way to fix this problem, and I hope this will be fixed in updates if it's possible.
Can we please get an update for Substance Automation Toolkit to work with the latest version of Substance Designer? The current relase of the Substance Automation Toolkit is only compatible with Substance Designer 12.4.0, but the latest release of Substance Designer is 13.0.1 as of this request. The last update to Substance Automation Toolkit was on 03-01-2023 according to the change log, so that's over 4 months behind.
I am new to Substance Designer and I am having some issues with it on my M1 Mac. When I create a new graph and start adding shapes, everything works fine at first. However, as I add more nodes, the Blend-2D view stops updating. If I single-click a node, it does not show the composite of the previous nodes. I have to double-click a node to make any node to show at all. I am not sure if this is a known issue or if I am doing something wrong. Is anyone else having this problem? Is the Mac version of Substance Designer super buggy? My Mac is an M1 Ultra with macOS Ventura 13.5.2.
I really wonder why this simple baking process take sometimes the hell of time.Initially I thought it was something wrong with my computer but this year I got some on my students reporting the same issue.Am I the only one that noticed this issue here?I'm using an up to date software and Nvidia driver on windows 10.
The boolean buttons are often getting converted to this thing (see attached image).They still work as 0 and 1 but its quite annoying for my team.Initially I thought it has to do with the size of properties panel in painter but that is not the case. Also.. I can't share the .sbsar or .sbs file (NDA) plus this situation is kinda random (but often) so creating a dummy project having this issue is not feasible at this moment. When I use the 3d texture sdf node and 3d texture volume render node to generate a 3d volumetric effect; the 3d texture sdf node is always black. And 3D volume render node turns to red. After the node turns red, every newly added node becomes red too.
Hey there, So as is the nature is seems with adobe and legacy software every effort has been made to obfuscate and demoralise those who previously purchased software outright and need access to the exe. I'm a Substance 3D lndie license holder, however I'm installing onto a new PC and need the exe's. The substance 3D legacy website is down and I am unable to access the software. Can I please get some help with this, and for the sanity of all others could adobe please but some effort into having clear webpages/locations for legacy software like this to be downloaded? Because this is madness.
The stripe node is working properly in other graphs but top 2/3 part is missing in my specific graph.v12.3.0 build 6140

I have a large .SBS library for a project that i'm working on, and after auto-updating to 13.1 all of the graphs CTD upon opening after the updater gets done converting them. Log shows no errors, just immediately cuts off. Rolling back to 12.4 allowed me to open them again. Something with the new update seems to be incompatible with my library, would really appreciate some help.
Hi, I´ve been trying the new spline and paths nodes, they are incredible and can buiild awesome things with them.The problme taht i found is that i was trying to build a smart material with them, but when i publish it as a .sbsar, on painter i have the error [EngineProcedural] Failed to decode Substance. if im using this new spline nodes.Is it somthing taht you guys are aming to fix? Hello !It often happens that when I'm working on a designer, I can't make Redo. The Undo function works fine, but the Crtl Y shortcut has no effect and the top left button is grayed out.This happens frequently, but I can't define the cause.I've encountered this problem using Designer on several different PCs, but always with the same (professional) license. I can reporduce this bug with a simple shape, applying RTAO node and tweaking the falloff distance. Machine will reboot. I've also noticed this in painter with some older files, once I load them machine will re-boot. I suspect it's something to do with my GPU (Drivers are up to date) or when Substance calls upon the GPU for certain functions. All ram tests come up with no issues. My config,Windows 11 Pro - OS Build 22621.184813th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K 3.00 GHz128 GB (128 GB usable)NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 24GB - Geforce Game Ready Driver - Version 536.23
On a PC, create a standard gradient linear 1 node and feed it into the input of a tile sampler. Set it up so you can see the tiles without any additional rotation. The patterns you see in the tile sampler should all be the same orientation as the original input. White top, black bottom. So when viewed on a PC the tiles appear the correct way up.But share that material to a Mac and they're flipped vertically or rotated 180 degrees. So either -- the tile sampler is flipping the tiles or the default linear gradient on Mac is vertically flipped. I've not got access to a Mac and the artist I'm working with can't use designer.
My Substance 3D Designer is fully up to date but when I come to use mg_dirt I get a warning that its got an error. That contrast_luminosity cannot be found, yet the address its pointing to ... C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Substance 3D Designer/resources/packages/contrast_luminosity.sbs ... is correct.
