Steps to reproduce:1. Open an AE project that has linked PPro comps2. Open the corresponding PPro project3. Work in PPro on the PPro project4. Notice that PPro is suddenly very unresponsive5. Think "Ah I know this old chestnut!" and pop over to AE to be greeted with that very familiar "After Effects (Beta): Unable to allocate 1.000 MB of memory..." message. Think to myself "1.000 MB"?? I have 128GB in this machine!6. Dismiss the error - sometimes there are literally dozens of them, and holding Esc dismisses them quickly.7. Check in AE that the one open comp is nothing outrageous -  it's a short (~4 secs) 24fps 2160x2160 MP4 with a subtle position & scale move on it, and Cache Frames When Idle is OFF.8. Sigh, and resign myself to the fact that, like many other users (judging by the number times this has been reported), I'll have to live with this. I'm using a Mac M2 computer running 15.5 (24F74)AE 25.4 I've been playing with publishing FBX with alternative animation takes from houdini, meshes with bone captured skin. mesh , rest and animation. The takes are no longer appearing next to -namebelow animation options. I have gone back to 25.3 and they have returned 🙂 Thanks John 

Verison; 25.4Platform; Windows Constant lag whilst trying to preview project file despite changing resolution setup to a custom 6x6 and making the compostion setting smaller. Also allocated more RAM (16GB), Enabled Multi-Frame rendering, all other appilcations are closed, drivers are up to date, cleared all cache and GPU acceleration is enbaled.

After Effects beta with roto brush and background text glitches. I have deleted the cache and restarted the application as well as the system, still the same issue.

With the latest update to Ae Beta the parent link icon is missing so I can't parent a layer with a track in a null.

Jetzt brauche ich auch keine. Hauptsache die Kasse klingelt. Keinen Cent Wert! Ich muss es leider nur ausführen. Verschwendung genug!

We updated to v25.0 in our facility and to our regrets found out that the keyboard shortcut to open FX Console does not work on a text layer if the Properties Panel is opened. None of it's keyboard shortcut options do in that state. I then tested the same in the current beta and it still does not work.   This bug is only present on Windows machines. Mac works fine. v24.x did not suffer from this issue, there must have been something that changed behavior there.   On any other layer the shortcuts simply work even with the Properties Panel opened.

Steps to reproduce:Create a shape layerDraw a shape on itAdd a RepeaterAnimate the Copies gong from 0 to, say, 10Ensure the Repeater's Composite is set to "Above"Add a Wiggle Transform with a Wiggles/Second of 0 and set its position to, say, 100,0 Result:As each extra shape appears, the already-drawn shapes move around Expected:Shapes already on screen shoudl remain in place. If you change the Repeater's Composite to "Below", the shapes do not move - this is "as expected" behaviour. Adjusting the Wiggle's Random Seed does not help. Attached project shows the issue - change the Repeater's Composite to Above or Below to see the difference. System info    Application: After Effects (Beta) v25.4.0.30    OS: Windows v10.0.19045, RAM: 127.91 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 32

After effects will not open. My device meets the requirments to use After effects and all of the other adobe apps I have work fine e.g illustrator,photoshop,Premier pro but one day after effects stopped working The splash screen will load then disapper or The splash screen will glitch and not allow me to close it meaning I have to use task manager to close it - photo of the second outcome attached. It gives me options to start in safe mode or reset prefernces but none of these options work and I do not have any plugins installed  I have repeatedly uninstalled and reinstalled and even updated to the latest version v25.2.2 However even switching to older versions does not work. Here are my system specs - Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHzInstalled RAM 20.0 GB (19.8 GB usable)System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor I have even tried the Beta AE but it still will not work I have tried both opening

Hello. I m using After Effects 25.2.2 Build 2. I import an fbx file with animation, but the result are very inconsistent.Yesterday when I imported an fbx with an animation, under animation tab, the name was there and I could preview the animation. Today, same file, same animation, the animation tab appears, but the name of the animation is missing and it doesn t work. If I make a simple cube in any 3d software with an animation and I import it, I can see it, animation tab is there, but there is no name of the animation and it doesn t work.Same inconsistency for the environment light. I have an hdr in the scene, I try to use it as a source for an envrionment light, in one day I can choose the hdr that is there, in other day I cannot, it is not showing. After some clicks, it takes into consideration the light, but still without showing in source.Do you have a fix? Should I try the beta version? I cannot work on a serious project and one day the animation to not work. Thank you.

Hi there,I'm running into an issue with the Toggle Button in my scripts. The image buttons no longer highlight when toggled like they used to in AE 2024. Recently this error has started happening very regularly for me.It normally happens after adding an Ai file to my Ae project.I have tried adjusting my memory cache preferences in different ways, but the error continues to persist.

I'm having trouble getting After Effects to output consistent color that matches the Composition window. It doesn't matter if I toggle off Display Managed Color, or add a QT Gamma Compensation LUT during the export process. I've tried all different codecs. All of my exports look low-contrast and have a different gamma than what i'm creating in the program. Is adobe working on this? What can be done???  OSX 13.6.4 (22G513)After Effects Beta 25.3.0

Hi,   We've noticed a critical bug in Essential Graphics. The text is not updating outside of the EG comps when it's changed in the source. It updates the color but not the font size or type or other aspects. This problem wasn't present in v23 but seems to be in 24.x all the way up to this beta.   Steps to reproduce: - Create comp with text layer with any formatting. - Promote 'source text' in Essential Graphics of that comp. - Make another comp and put that setup comp in it. - Change the EG text to something else or link it to a new source text of a text layer. - Change the font type and size inside the setup comp. - The updates are not reflected outside in the other comp.   This has been a workflow breaking issue for us. Project made in 23 are completely broken and are only fixable by going to every place where the text has been adjusted and re-read from primary comp then apply the adjustment again. This is a no go for projects where such things are referenced over 100

(which even happens in the official version 25.1) but here it's more constant because as you can see I'm rendering my video and I get this error, and they are just aligned clips without any effect (well, just one, the "twixtor pro" effect) which doesn't take up much space! but still it tells me that I'm out of memory idk.. I have 24 gb of ram of which I have assigned 16 to after effects (leaving 8gb so that windows 11 runs correctly) also even if I add the maximum it still shows up "even though it's a super light project" I'm also noticing that pressing the "space" key to preview has a delay of about 3-5 seconds " it seems that it lacks optimization in the render, I don't know,

3d camera tracker keeps giving timed out while obtaining dynamic link , but i can use it once if i restart my pc then it starts bugging out

I'm not sure if it's something to do with preview caching, but if I leave it on in the background, my PC (it's a pretty good gaming PC) becomes unbearably slow. My PC froze for 3-5 minutes today and I couldn't even close After Effects.

the viewer flickers when moving objects

When i Import a 3d model into AE Beta it doesn't show up. The controls to move it around do, it's like it's invisible. Does anyone know a fix?
