HiI can't use the lasr version of Character animator because of an upgrade of my old computer.I use version 23 which works fine. After I tried the puppet maker the move of the head of the puppet stopped.The caliberation doesn't work to.I uninstalled the program many times and installed it again, but the same problem.Can you kindly help me, please.

I've been using Character Animator's "Compute Lipsync Take From Audio and Transcript" for quite a while now, and I've noticed that, almost always, it fails to detect "w" in words that starts with it (i.e. what, where, etc.). I don't know if it is just me, but whenever I use that feature, I would have to go back from the start of the timeline and fix the "w's". My Lip Sync's Viseme Detection is already cranked up to the max in my Preferences settings. I don't know if there's like a fix for this or this is just how it is right now (if it's the latter, hopefully it can get fixed).

I recently opened a Premiere Pro project that has Character Animator dynamic linked to it...and that link was no longer working. I tried relinking them and got an error that says "Adobe After Effects 2023 must be installed to import this file". That doesn't make a lot of sense, consider that I'm not using After Effects and because I do have the latest version of After Effects installed. Any way to fix this?

Anyone else having trouble with their scene all of a sudden looking like this?

The camera works with all apps but on Adobe Character it just shows "Waiting for Camera".Have troubleshooted and can't find a solution.I'm on Mac OS Ventura.

I have never had this issue before but now I cannot export a scene from CA to AME. I am using a Mac Mini M1 with 16GB of memory.I have used a similar puppet before - it is 17mb photoshop file. The animation is not complex. The stage is quite big 2000x3000px and it a transparent background but I tried adding a green screen and it still did not work. I then downloaded Chloe and made a test scene with her but it would not export.There is no error message in AME, I just see the programme trying to encode the file but no thumbnail. I left it for 7 hours to see if anything happened but still the same thing in the morning. There is a file in the save point with 1mb of information.I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling CA and interestingly, Chloe test scene worked but then once I tried to export my other scene, it would no longer work, back to square one. Not sure what to do, whether this is a compatibility issue with the M1 chip but I have exported clips before.

When I try to upgrade to the pro version I get this error message that appears.Thank you for your help.

 I cannot create or open a new project, please help!!I've been stuck with this problem for a couple of days now, losing valuable time.I've tried to update installation but this did not help.

I don't have issues on my Mac but on my Windows computer, the scene gets wonky when moved from CH to ME.  Part of the left side is now on the right side 

I'm at my wit's end with this problem.  Char Animator lip sync is throwing in S visemes at the beginning of my words and in between words.  The audio is super clean. I use an audio booth and a high-end mic, and it's audio engineered to be clean. If I try to use a loaded transcript, Character animator crashes 10% through, even though it's only a 5-minute animation. My computer is a high-end gaming machine just bought this year so it's not a processing power or memory issue. I've altered the lip sync settings changing the db muting and the viseme detection and the problem doesn't improve.   I loaded an overly noise reduced and noise gate processed audio test file, and the same problem happens. Here's a screen capture of the issue. I'm using an HP laptop and when select the puppet in the character animator, I got the GPU error, my system had DirectX installed. Anyway to fix it, so I can use the character animator application? The screenshot attached with all the system configure/settings Thanks,  

I been using character animator for 2 years now. never had an issue with the program till these past few weeks. i keep getting these errors. wont even let me rig my character. I am not using any cloud services. i am on a desktop and everything is in my internal hard drive. I un installed the program 3 times. I installed an older version of character animator to see if that would work but no luck. i keep getting this error with any version of character animator.  

I jhave a Tonor, I've used it before, but everytime I turn it on in Animator It makes audio very badly distorted until I turn the mic off..  When I try to record on.Any Audio is very badly distorted it also becomes very badly distorted.

Not sure what's wrong I have been trying to explore exporting videos in different dimensions than the usual hd sizes, 1920 by 1080, Switching it up to something like 1080 by 1920 vertical video for Instagram and the likes. Having a weird black line running through from top to bottom and the video shifts to the left and repeats on the other side of the band

I am getting an error every time I open this app on my pc. I was surprised to see that I have the pro version as well, so anytime I click to move back to starter, I will see the following error. I have tried deleting all my projects, restarting my pc , and ensured this was installed locally on my C drive. anything else?This is my file structure btw  

I've been using Character animator in After Effects for about two years, and something unusual has just started happening. Not sure if it's a bug or if it's an issue with how I've set it up. In any Character scene that I create, the character model is always placed in the centre, and appears in the centre of any preview. However, when I export this scene (either by linking the Ch file in AE, or by rendering out from Character directly) the character model suddenly moves to one side of the screen and overlaps across to the opposite side. I've had a look and there are no hidden objects in the character model, and even if there were, surely the Character preview would show it. This happens with every character model that I've tried, and happens in different After Effects projects. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Hi! I exported a .puppet file and brought it into a new project, but one of the shareable puppets within the main puppet is not showing a file path for the original file and the "edit original" button at the bottom of the project panel is greyed out. I'd like to edit the original file, but can't figure out how or where it's connected to the artwork. Anything I can do to fix this?

Wassup yall I hope you are doing goodI have a problem.I can't tell why, when i export my scene with Media Encoder, or when i charge my scenes to After Effect, the image of the video is "strangely" separate (exemlples in the images bellow). Plus, In Ae, the separation changes in depend of the resolution i use (watch the images) but never get fixed, welly framed.BUT when i use tho option quick export in the menu, the image of the video is welly framed (no separation).I'm using Ch 23.1, I've tryed to unistall and re install the app, the bug is still there.I need to charge my Ch scene in my Ae projectCan someone help me please ? 

I have written here several time about how if I use the program start a puppet, turn off the program and come back to it days later the program won't open or recognize any of my files. I have had a few response talking about how where I save my file might be the problem. This makes no sense to me as that no other program has ever had this problem. I have attached images of what the program is saying. Can someone please tell me what I need to do, where I need to save my files, or if there is a person I can talk to for help thank you.

I updated Premiere Pro today and now I am having issue with Dynamic Linking Character Animator scenes.  Is anyone else experiencing this?  It was working fine before I updated, now there is a difference between the scene before importing to Premiere Pro and afterwards.  I'm super frustrated right now because nothing that worked before is working now.

I know it's complicated, but until recently, I have been using a puppet with this rig structure just fine......With the Frontal view tagged as "Head," I could get the extra head tilt. And to use Body Tracking, I simply untagged this Frontal "Head," and CH wouldn't get confused. But this no longer works; perhaps coinciding with the addition of Motion Library? I've tried multiple ways of restructuring it, plus removing different tracked handles, and the character's torso either pins to the background or does something like this...And this does not happen with Body Tracking off, even with Motion Library on and the Frontal "Head" still tagged. I have not found an example puppet with all these aspects combined (multiple character views like Standing and Walking + extra head tilt control + Body Tracking) so if someone has one, please post the rigging structure, if you would. Hopscotch is close but doens't have multiple character views. Removing the Standing view may be my only option. It see

I have had several problems with this program since I have started using it. Most times when I close the program for the day then reopen it the next the file I was working on it won't recognize the file. I have unistalled and reinstalled the program several times. When I reinstall and open the program it is a 50/50 whether the file works. Most time I have to reimport the AI file which means I have lost all of my rigging. This have become a work flow nightmare. Two steps forward two steps back. The other issue I am having is when the program is working I cannot hear the audio at all. Not if I am listening/watch a playback after recording, and not if I import a file. I am using many other Adobe products and the audio work on all of them. I am using a PC, Character Animator version 23.1

I'm having an issue with exporting scenes in Character Animator. The screen will shift to the left and roll over on the right. I have tried to reinstall the program. Install the latest graphic driver for my Ninvida GPU. Attached is a picture of whats happening. I'm not getting any errors. Not sure what's going on. It has always worked just fine.

I've been working with this character for days and shot many scenes with it.  After removing independence from an object (hair), it got hung up and started not responding.  After roughly 10 minutes of waiting, I restarted Character Animator and my computer as well.  The scene opened back up ok the first time, then hung up after switching to rig mode.  I restarted again and troubleshooting led me to clearing the cache (Alt and Refresh Button) which caused it to be permanently hanging up in the scene as well.  I restared and opened an older character with no issues, but the important character I'm currently working on now crashes Character Animator.Please help.

In character animator, everything is set to 1920x1080 for the scene, when I transfert through Media Encoder, the background image appears to be cut off and repeated towards the right. The left side of the frame has been cut off and moved to the right side of the frame. Artwork is all centered in Ch at 1920 x 1080 as you can see. Here is Media Encoder version and settings and what the Mp4 ends up looking like (note the background line to the right): Here's the source from CH:Can anyone help me with this issue?Thanks,Bill.
