I have encountered a problem - when I have multiple different texel densities on UV islands, Painter incorrectly renders normals.This is a test mesh in Blender - the rectangle has denser UV [2.5x to be exact]:  Here we have incorrect normals in Painter with a visible rectangle:  But when tessellation is on, height displacement is calculated and rendered correctly: All mesh maps are baked.It seems to me that the quantity of decreased normal is directly proportional to the ratio between the two texel densities.This is a substantial problem since height in Painter is ubiquitous.

Window handles (splitters/resizers between panels) are very unresponsive or difficult to grab and move. This affects all resizable interface elements (e.g., viewport/panel dividers, layer stack, properties panel).This issue has been present across all recent versions of the application. Given the current subscription cost (€25/month), it would be reasonable to expect a more polished and production-ready user interface. This behavior feels more like that of a beta version, and it significantly impacts the user experience on macOS.

Substance Painter always crashes whenever I try to increase my texture set resolution from 1024 to 2048. I can't even just export at 2048 because it will also crash doing that. Before setting my texture set at 1024 to work on, it was at 2048 and it kept crashing on me whenever I reopened the project and did anything regarding certain layers. I finally got around that by setting the texture set to 1024 but now I can't bring it back to 2048. I have reinstalled Substance Painter. I tried some solutions that worked for others, such as disabling "Hardware Support Acceleration". I constantly use "Save and reduce file size". In the shader settings, I have set the Specular Quality to "Low (16 spp)". Nothing solves this. It always starts with the green loading bar then after 5 to 10 seconds it closes on me. Also, I sent my instructor, from a course I'm taking, my project and he had no issues exporting the texture set at 2048. My PC specs are: RTX 4070 Ti, Ryzen 9 7900X, 64 G

Hello! I'm having this issue with laying some stitching over some denim material. The problem is that it's not layer properly over the height/normal of the underlying fabric. In the official tutorial it's just laid on the materials with no problem but when I do it the stitch doesn't override the height information. What happens then is that the fabric yarn goes over the darn stitches. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Here's the problem and my layer structure for reference.

Hello. So when I attempt to export anything with the 2D View export preset (whether 1 fill layer or anything bigger) , it exports a blank / black map and freezes the entire program. I've noticed this also only happens after I bake (the bake settings are barely changed, only the dilation width and use LP mesh are ticked) , if I attempt to export with 2D View before baking it exports fine.  I have tried reinstalling the program, changing the bake settings, and messing around with the export padding, but none of it has worked so far.       

when drawing with the path tool, if you navigate with the 3dConnexion mouse, the 3d camera turns off. if I do not restart the program, it does not come back.

I wish to open a substance file my friend had sent me but it says i need to update my substance painter to verison 9.0.0 to do so. There is no update button on my steam 2022 substance painter help tab. I dont know what to do.

I just upgraded to the latest version of SP and wanted to try the Automatic CageThe moment i enable it the Bake Selected textures gets disabled even though it generates the cage in the preview . After this switching to any of the other Cage options keeps the button disabled , if i close the baking menu and then reopen it with my cage set to Distance Based it keeps the button disabled.I need to close SP and reopen it for the button to come back as long as it was set to Distance Based.I do have an error when loading the highpoly , it doesnt seem to be an issue when i baked with Distance Based Cage[Scene 3D] [GenVertexNormals] : unable to compute normals because some triangles were too small in mesh Head_High1

In Substance Painter, I can't render with graphics, my graphics card is 5080. When will the new version of Painter come out that has the updated iray version.. Because I heard that iray should be version 2024.. This problem is also in Designer.. If possible, prepare an update for this problem for 50 series graphics cards as soon as possible.. This is a very big problem for users.

Issue: Adobe Substance Designer 2025 (IRAY) Never Starts Rendering (RTX 3090)Problem Description:IRAY rendering never fully initiates in Adobe Substance Designer 2025 (Steam). What material is supposed to look like compared to what it looks like on the model....Have all the quality settings maxed out...  this is with roughness to max, it should also be matte. not look like wet slop. All pro materials behave in a similar way.

It seems python any plugins I try to use doesn't work. Substance Painter version is 10.1.1, installed on Win 11 Pro 23H2, even after clean reinstall of SP, scripts still doesn't work. Ofc I put plugins in correct folder, double checked. One of the scripts I tried is from here https://helpx.adobe.com/substance-3d-painter-python/tutorials/creating-a-python-plugin.html, But plugin doesn't load, no custom_export in Python menu, nothing. I included error message.

Every time I open Substance Painter or access adobe.com this warning shows up. It's weird as it doesn't show up on my mac, only my windows pc. I've done virus scans with avast, avira, malwarebytes, microsoft, f-seure, microtrend, etc and it doesn't find any virus. I cant find anyone else having this issue online, so I dont know if its like malware related, a false positive, or if the SSL really did expire. # Update - I spoke to support, they said its a false positive. Please contact norton and get it sorted. You don't want all norton users to see these messages. 

the occlusion looks broken after bake the mesh ,the uv of the mesh doesnt look overlaped 

I have discovered this twice today after many hours of painting several lines across my spaceship model to create panel lines. It will seem as though everything is working fine, but at a certain point I will realize that detail I have added will just disappear. I save often, and the lines will still be present after saving- I'm not sure when it is happening or what is causing this work to disappear. I did not reimport model at any point- it was imported when I originally created the Painter file. For the layer, I am using a fill layer with a black mask and painting the lines as white lines to the mask, rather than painting in a regular layer. My next step will be to just use a regular layer, which may or may not fix the issue. The model has a fairly large set of UDIMs (41 total). Is Painter just unable to handle that many UDIMs (sized at 4k)? Or has anyone else experienced this before and found what might be causing it?

I got an error when doing bake ambient occlusion. the AO display looks inappropriate, with strange patterns, completely unable to detect the angles on my object. On all the 3D objects that I use, the results are the same. Here I give an example of only using a cube because the results will be more certain, it is impossible to experience a wrong backface or UV. but the result is still like this. what do I have to do ? This bug occurred suddenly. 

Hello. This is ongoing issue for almost a month ( I checked previous threads ).1. Nothing in spam folder2. Code can magically be send manually by a support team member, but not automatically.3.  Identit-e support team told me that issue is purely on Adobe's side.   Why this is not fixed yet? If you want to force student to buy product instead - don't give them false hope and just say so.

Since the latest update of Substance Painter I keep getting the white wall of never ending sorrow. The white fog of a crashed start. I have a Huion drawing tablet that I used with all the previous versions.... until now. The only solution I have found to be able to run the program is to 3. Reset Interface:If the problem is related to window placement, reset the interface to its default layout within Substance Painter's settings. I do this by deleting a folder within the reg edit and delete a preference folder. This resets substance and as long as I have it load on one of my main screens (not the tablet) it loads up. I have to do this everytime - this is ridiculous! I dont have any trouble with Photoshop so why am I getting this issue with sub painter. I have the latest Huion driver and Ive been through your conflict list. If it was anything else it would not load at all - it is down to that folder having to be deleted everytime. Please can sombody give me a more permanent sol

Hello,  I have followed other forums about this issue but to no avail. I've tried creating multiple diffrent emails (both gmail and outlook ones), I've tried using diffrent search engines in case that was interfearing, and I've even gone through old emails to see if there waas a way to request it from there, but again, to no avail. Dose anyone know a fix for this? I'm able to put all my details into the "submit your request" section, but im just not reciving the confirmation email after checking my spam folder and everything.  Thx,  Matth

Hello, I successfully entered my email to apply for the Adobe Substance 3D Education version, and the page confirmed it was submitted. However, I never received any verification or approval email, even after checking all folders (inbox, spam, etc.). I contacted customer service, but they said the education/free version is not within their support scope and told me to ask here instead.

I've submitted 2 seperate gmails to test this. I've waited 2-3 days, yet I have recieved nothing. Nothing in my spam nor junk files. I've tried to resubmit the request, yet it says "UniqueID already exists".  So I'm assuming the request is still being handled, but I doubt it should take this long. 

(I'll replace it with a link with the same symptoms instead of a picture) Every time I bake, I get a weird pattern during the baking process and it doesn't bake very well. It only comes in Ao, curvature, and thickness. Is there a solution? On February 4, 2025, a post with the same symptoms as mine came up and I heard it was an Nvidia driver issue. Is there an update on this issue?
