Bug Reports

Hello. I added some plate polygons to add some flair to the model. Then I added a color material to the plate polygons and baked it again. However, doing so caused the previously normal drawing to collapse.I checked it several times, and it was the exact same model except for the plate polygons, and there were no problems with the color material. Therefore, I consider this a bug.

I need help fixing issues with the latest version of Substance Painter. It's becoming almost impossible to work. The first bug I encountered was objects becoming transparent when I scrolled. Annoying, but not too much.I also have different channels that disappear randomly in certain places, but hiding and redisplaying the materials is usually enough to fix it.The most annoying one is this: when painting in a mask, visual bugs appear, but more importantly, what I've done randomly disappears. (see in the video)  Sometimes it suddenly becomes very pixelated with no way to go back. Substance Painter 11.1.2Windows 11

For bake maps imported at file creation, the auto-updater doesn't do anything either by itself or when manually clicking update assets. The only thing that reloads that map is the old method of right clicking and choosing Reload. Substance Painter Version 11.1.2 Build 5115Windows 11

Has anyone encountered issues upgrading from v11.0.3 to v11.1.2 (any version above 11.0.3)?Specifically, I am getting crazy black and white striations in my viewport when in 'material view' mode (see grabs) when opening in v/11.1.2This only happens with some of my projects (about half of them). All of the projects I have tested were completed in v/11.0.3, and textures were successfully imported/applied to the same corresponding meshes in UE5.A few notes:- All of my projects (good and bad) have the same color management settings (see grab)- All of my projects Channels (good and bad) are perfectly fine in isolation.- The only thing that chills out the 'striations' is turning off 'Activate Temporal Anti-Aliasing' in the Display Settings. This only chills them out a little though, just enough to see materials peeking through the harsh white lines.I have tested every variable I can think of and have reached a dead end in my brain.

Hello Together, I would like to request a free educational License for the Substance Suite via this site of yours: https://substance3d.adobe.com/education/I know that i once already acitvated this license, but i want to renew it!Unfortunately, when i put in my adobe email, it says "request succesful" but no Email shows up in my Email Server. I tried using different accounts but the problem consists. I also tried putting in an E-Mail not connected to any Adobe Account ,in my case educational, inside but it didn´t help.I saw in other forum threads that this is not a new Problem. But I also saw someone from Adobe, that asks for their E-Mail, in Order to help. That would be great!Thank you

Hello. Since version 11.1.0 I noticed that pen performance is much worse compared to version 11.0.3 (tested both in identical scenario). While on a new file it not as obvious, when complexity increaseses pen strokes with Windows Ink enabled are very unresponsive. Turning Windows Ink off or using mouse for painting makes the strokes smooth again (losing pen pressure in return). This is not the case with 11.0.3 where brush strokes are responsive regardless of Windows Ink status.GPU: RTX 5090CPU: 13900KRAM: 128 GBSSD: Corsair MP600 ProTablet: Huion Kamvas 24 Plus

The options in the common baking settings are greyed out until you provide a high-poly mesh, even if you switch on "use low-poly mesh as high-poly mesh".  Specifically, the match by name settings are needed as I have lots of meshes imported at once and use that feature to separate them when baking AO. Currently In the past: Version 11.1.1 build 5024Windows 11

Hi,Why does the perlin noise texture fill only the shape of the first uv island when dropped in? When I move or scale the noise, this seems to only affect the original UV island shape from when it was first imported. It's as though it has a mask already on it. I can't see any other layers or masks affecting this. I have just drag and dropped to the model and selected height. Maybe there's a workaround or something to get this dealt with on my project.Any advice much appreciated!

^ i know this is  top 1 is not a bug its a UV issue any idea how i can fix this ??---------------------------------------^ this 1 is a issue that came from 11.1.1 Update a bug for the Path Along Tool i already did this 2 times and double checked the longer i use the tool it changes to some odd Wooden Tool for the Height Map..... i even keep on checking ever 5 min.. until 10 min mark every thing changed to WOOD style so i went back to Brush style didnt have any issue..... I hope this gets fixed before 2025 steam version expires because i use this tool alot.......... i didnt have this issue on 11.1.0

I'm using the Steam buy-once version of Substance 3D Painter 2023, but suddenly a mysterious update pushed itself out, upgrading my current project to 10.1 and rendering it unusable—even though I never subscribed to the latest version. When I try to open the project, it says “Version mismatch” or “No license available,” so I can't access it. Thanks to this, my work data vanished. What the hell is going on here?

The app launches but then when it starts to initialize , my guess is that it is crashing aon a missing file or wrong directory .Again the app worked fine a few months agoI have attached the log file

Anybody know how to fix extremly low res of the preview stencil when using projection brush/tool ?It wasnt like this in older versions Here a random example, the text becomes almost illegible, and it gets worse the higher  the resolution of the projection, sometimes turning into just blocks of color.

In the latest version 11.1.1, when using "Use Low Poly Mesh as High Poly Mesh" for texture bakingThe Self Occlusion selection failed in Ambient Occlusion/Curvature/Thickness The behavior of "Only Same Mesh Name" is identical to that of "Always". The attached image shows the AO baking maps in different Version.

Ever since I updated Substance Painter to the latest version (11.0.0) I haven't been able to open my recent project, doing so causes the program to crash.

Hi!Im using substance painter 11.1, win10, geforce 3060ti latest drivers. When i use Projection tool, its just grey. I dont see any aplha/texture aplied to projection.

Stencil not visible in projection painting in mask paint mode. Stencil is visible if projection painting on a material paint layer, however shows up as gray square if projection painting in a mask. Steps to reproduce:  1. Add mask to any layer.2. Enter projection paint mode 3. Add any texture/alpha/image to grayscale input.4. Cannot see stencil in 3d viewport This issue seems to only affect painting masks as all other channels seem to work correctly. Gray square shown below, but grayscale stencil for painting is applied. Painting on the actual stencil STILL WORKS CORRECTLY, its just you cannot see the stencil you are painting

Hi everyone! Since the last update 11.1.0 the program crashes for everything. It happens when opening and closing tabs, and when the program has to process and load the blue bar at the bottom, as well as when creating new fill layers and many other things. It also crashes when changing texture resolution, etc. It crashes practically everywhere. I'm using a laptop with the latest Nvidia Studio 581.57 video driver. It worked without problems for years until this new Substance Painter 11.1.0 update. My laptop specifications: - Asus Strix - Windows 10 Home - Intel Core i7 7700HQ 2.80GHz - 20GB RAM - Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 4GB - 1TB SSDI submitted a report from Substance Painter when it crashes, but I haven't received a response. I don't know if anyone else is experiencing the same problem. Thank you very much!

Substance Painter crashes on my Mac Studio M1 when I save the file. I have erased drive and installed OS Sequoia 15.7.2I have installed Substance Painter. It still crashes when I try to save the file. ???

Running version 11.1.0 and Substance is stuck saving file. Has been "saving" for about an hour now, which far surpasses the usuall 10-20 seconds. Thinking I'll need to force close but hoping there's a way to resolve this without corrupting my file?

Heya hope you guys doing well 😄 I am currently using Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 (21H2) with all available updates and the latest security patches installed. This version of Windows is still officially supported by Microsoft until 2032, which is why it is used widely in environments where long-term stability is required. With the release of Substance Painter 11.1, I noticed that the application no longer installs on Windows 10E LTSC, as it now requires Windows 11. This is surprising because LTSC 2021 is the most recent long-term support release of Windows 10, and it remains fully supported for 7 years. I am writing mainly as a private user, since Windows 10E LTSC is my primary operating system, but I am also looking into this issue on behalf of several companies I support. These companies use Windows 10E LTSC for the same reason: long-term stability and guaranteed support. Many of them rely on other Adobe applications, and the sudden restriction to Windows 11 is creating complicati
