Every other time I open Photoshop on my desktop I am greeted with Error 205 and forced to close. I know how to fix the error at least for the current session by using command prompt to clear the Credential Manager storage for all the Adobe apps. It's gotten to the point though where I have had to save the fix on a notepad on my desktop because it happens nearly every time I open an an Adobe application (especially Photoshop it seems). I'm not asking how to fix it for this current session but how to fix this full stop, or if not then to at least bring it to the attention of someone at Adobe. This is ridiculous that I should have to run commands through command prompt every time I want to open one of their applications.

Tried to reset all settings, clear all caches and full re-install — result is the same.

 

Not sure when exactly this started, I think I skipped a version, but it's happening in 25.11.0 and I don't think it was in the earlier 25.x versions. Basically the bug is that Undo and Step Backward now do the same thing on a Curves layer, whereas before Undo would only undo what you just did. Clearer with an example:Old, expected, behavior: 1- Go to an exisiting or new curves layer. Let's say there's a point darkening it at 128 in 120 out.2- We want it a little lighter and redder. Click the point at 128 in, press the up arrow 4 times, so it's now 124 out. 3- Go to the Red channel. Create a new point, move it to 128 in, 130 out. 4- It's not red enough, shift + Up arrow, so it's 140 out. 5- That's way too red, hit Undo, the point is now back at 130 out, and you can tap Up a few times without shift til it's right. New, frustrating behavior:Steps 1-4 the same, but when we get to Step 5:5- Hit Undo, it brings the curve back to where it was in Step 1 (same as Step B

Splash Screen and then wheel of death.  It stops while "reading preferences"Working Professional here, im in the middle of a big production and everything is stopped because of this. We have people on set waiting. I don't need to say how stressed everyone is at the moment.Anyone knows a quick fix? 

When I try to use the generative fill tool the loading bar appears and when it reaches 100% it disappears and nothing else appears. Solutions? 

When working on files with a grain layer (gray layer with noise and g.blur smart filters) at the top of the file I often get gray blocks when I try doing any sort of pixel based adjustments--paint, clone, heal etc--below. This has been going on for years.

I have a brand new computer with Win 11 Pro. AMD graphic card and Intel graphics are all updated with latest driver. The Photoshop; adobe Premiere PRO, Lightroom are all downloaded in latest versions. They all have issues making them impossible to use after immediate freez or no longer can be operated for various reasons.I have tried a long list of suggestions from community and Adobe and elsewhere where people has tried different ways to fix Photoshop freezes. I have downloaded the Adobe creatice cloud diagnostic tool - a tool that diagnosting Adobe premiere issues, and the tool reported that an Intel graphic driver should be updated. I did, but the tool still complains about this driver. I have double checked that it is the correect version. I think I have tried everything Adobe has suggested, including deselecting GPU and multithred, started PS without plugins, running the program as an adminstrator and a lot of other advices, and I have also installed a early version of P

Hello, for some reason my shortcuts in photoshop are not working on my laptop. For all the other Adobe apps its fine, also if i work on my home desktop I have no issues. I have already scoured this forum for a solution but have yet to find one.  Any tips are highly appreciated.  

PS Latest (Beta and Normal Version) crash when opening a JPG, but not PNG? Windows 10.

Hey everyone... I'm working with a .psb file, with image dimensions of 48000 x 100000 pixels. Now, if I want to change the dimensions of the image, going in through the image menu, selecting image size, and then manipulating the dimensions, it works just fine.  However, if I try to use the transform panel, I get "a value between 4 and 32000 pixels is required". I thought that .psb files were supposed to allow manipulation of images larger than 32000 x 32000. If so, why am I getting that error? It gets really frustrating when I try to add something to the existing image and the x and y coordinates for the new item is past the 32000 limits.    I'm running the latest version of Photoshop (23.4.2) My laptop is an HP Omen 17t-ck0000 (I9-11900H, 64GB ram, RTX 3070 w/ 8GB ram) I'm running Windows 11 Pro (version 10.0.22000 build 22000)  

Since updating PS, my Nic Collection brushes are not working properly. A few times, an entire filter has not held on a photo edit. There is definetly something buggy with the newest update. Hoping this will be addressed and fixed.PS2024 version 25.11.0 OSNic Collection Color EffectsBrushSee effects while brushing, then the effects disappear. Cannot toggle the button on/off to see layer effects at this point. 

I recently made a huge mistake by cleaning up my icloud on my phone and inadvertently deleted all the folders on my desktop... I used my time machine drive to restore my Mac (never done this before) and didn't realize it's really like starting over..  Meanwhile, my exsisting catalog are not properly responding (Hundreds and thousands of editing lost 😞  Anyway, i created a new catalog a few days ago for a job and this morning went into edit and that catalog just disappeared. tried searching for it - but no luck - Help Please? 

How does the AmberVec pen work with Photoshop? Ideally, I want to use it to draw like a tablet. But Photoshop is not letting me use any of its tools with the new pen, or my touch screen. I am using aWindows 10 Pro tablet screen. It should work, right? So what's the issue. Thank you in advance.

suddenly transform and free transform which I use a lot are not working and became deactivated. can someone help me to solve it?

One of the great things about doing a quick export as a PNG in Photoshop CC was that it would automatically save the PNG in the same folder as the image currently being edited. That made it a simple task to type the keyboard shortcut of your choice and simply press enter to save it alongside the current image.   But, no more! Even with the Preference "Export" - "Export As Location" set to "Export assets to the location of the current document", the Export location defaults to the last location used. I have tried resetting Photoshop preferences to default but that has not helped.   Please, can we have Photoshop do what it's being told to do -- save the asset in the location of the current document? Quick Export is not longer a quick export if we have to navigate a drive's file structure to export the image to the same folder as the current image!   Photoshop 23.1.1 Release Windows 10

Version 25.11.0 Windows 10 pro Ver 22H2I have just noticed that when i save a psd file to a tif, the date/time stamp does not reflect the moment of saving, but some past date instead. I have been prepareing some files forprinting in tif format, and the dates that have come up are shown in the attachment. All the fiels here were saved over the last couple of days. I have no idea how to rectify this! Please advise me, thanks.

Hey there,I’ve changed to a MacBook Pro M2 Max shortly and the first week of editing went completely fine. I’m editing off of an Samsung SSD external drive and mainly working with psb files sizing between 3-6 GB. Since today I have an issue with three out of 13 psb project of a series of product shots, wehre I can’t open the files anymore and getting this message: Could not open “Filename.psb” because of a program error. I’ve tried it with PS 2024 and and the newest Version of PS (Beta). And I’ve tried to go back in versions as well. Deinstalled, reinstalled … Nothing seems to work. I am working with PS now for over 10 years and have never encountered an issue like this. Is anyone here, that can help me fix it or has an explanation what and where it goes wrong? Looking forward for your help! 💛

This more a negligence complaint than a bug report. The Problem:In compressed files (PSB, or TIF and PSD with any compression options turned on) the bottleneck when opening and saving a file is your processor's single-threaded performance. You will never get anywhere near the throughput of even a slow hard drive from 10 years ago. I've read lore that there are computer science reasons that this kind of compression can't be multithreaded. But I doubt it's true. For one, a friend who's a developer and imaging engineer doesn't believe it. For another, I've run tests that show Photoshop can't even save two entirely separate files simultaneously. If you have multiple images open and hit save one after the other, they will still save one-at-a-time. We know this can be multithreaded. Adobe's own lightroom will make each image its own thread and distribute to all the processor cores available when importing or exporting.  Evidence:I made multiple copies of a 1GB image. This

To report that the gradient tool doesn't work in the latest version of PS. When I click on the tool, I have a message "program error". The program doesn't stop, but I can't use the gradient tool.I installed the previous version, and the tool works.

Hello everyoneI recently encountered such a problem that when converting an image to black and white, such artifacts appear on the canvas (as in the screenshot). This problem began to appear 1-2 weeks ago. After the last update. If you go back a step using the "history", then in the "navigator" the picture is displayed normally, but the canvas remains the same. The problem does not always appear, but usually when using the command "ctrl+shift+u" and if you remove saturation through "Hue/Saturation". The image itself was uploaded to Photoshop using Bridge. Usually, similar errors were removed by disabling GPU Compositing, but this time it did not save. I will be glad if someone knows how to solve this problem. Thanks!
