I've just discovered the existence of this shortcut but unfortunately, it doesn't work for me.
Hi, I've just updating Photoshop versión to 23.0.2 and the Mac Os to Monterey. I've an issue with the cropping image tool. When i choose it, the image become all grey, without the any posibility to use it. The issue disapear if i choose any other tool. How can i resolve it ?
Two images open. Eye dropper tool. Info pallet reads image that has the focus. If you click and hold on the other image to get a reading Photoshop freezes. Happens every time. Tested on two Apple computers. Photoshop 21.1.0 OS X 10.14.6
I have been trying to work on a keyframe painting this evening on Photoshop for my iPad, but I cannot because after this new update, of which I was given no warning, Photoshop continues to crash and won't save any progress I have made. It has crashed three times so far and I have not been given the option of the crash report dialog box after any of them. Please answer urgently, my employment literally depends on this device.
Windows 10 For better understanding i've added a video, also the import time is very slow. https://youtu.be/Y9c96ylYE4I
No idea for a title that better describes the issue. If I'm in PS and I press the shortcut for a 'brush' type tool (dodge/ burn/ brush/ clone etc), when the brush of that tool is large enough to touch the edge of the screen (in the used zoom setting), PS instantly switches back to the previous tool. Not every time, but often enough to be very annoying. "Solution" in that case is to either zoom out, or press caps-lock (so you don't preview brush size). AFAIK, this issue has existed since at least Photoshop CS6. PS CC 24.1.0, OSX 12.6.1 on a MacStudio (before that it also happeneed since PS CS6 on a MacPro and previous versions OSX).
If I have a rectangle Live Shape with round corners and use the direct selection tool to select the anchors point to one size only, when I move them using the shift key, the entire rectangle is moved, instead of only the side I had selected. Same issue, if I use the arrows keys on computer to fine-tune the positions of it. Tell me it’s a know issue and not as designed. That’s why I asked if there is a way to turn off Live Shape.
I use Photoshop to color architectural drawings, exported from AutoCAD as PDF-files. I usually choose the 'open as smart object' with the crop-to-media setting to import the drawing in the correct scale. Lately, when i do this, Photoshop opens the smartobject scaled and distorted in the wrong canvas-size, which poses a huge problem for the drawing-scale if not discovered before the graphic work has been executed. Is this a bug, or is there a work-around?
Hi~ I am a developer focus on cep and extendscript for times. I found a bug in CC2022 when exporting layers. I want to export a layer with gradient fill from PS in scripts, sample as below: my steps in scrip are: 1. duplicate the layer to a new document 2. trim the transparent pixels in the new document 3. save the doucument with app.activeDocument.exportDocument api and below are my script: function duplicate() { var desc1 = new ActionDescriptor(); var ref1 = new ActionReference(); ref1.putClass(app.stringIDToTypeID("document")); desc1.putReference(app.stringIDToTypeID("null"), ref1); var ref2 = new ActionReference(); ref2.putEnumerated(app.stringIDToTypeID("layer"), app.stringIDToTypeID("ordinal"), app.stringIDToTypeID("targetEnum")); desc1.putReference(app.stringIDToTypeID("using"), ref2); desc1.putInteger(app.stringIDToTypeID("version"), 5); app.executeAction(app.stringIDToTypeID("make"), desc1, DialogModes.NO); } function
I swear that before the 2019 update photoshop would let me move the anchor point when resizing something, but now that "box" is grayed out. Also there isn't an anchor point showing up when I go to resize something. Specifically, I'm talking about that small "dot" that would show up in the middle of the object you were transforming that you could move to the top corner or anywhere in general.
I am not able to select anything but "Create Frame Animation" in the Timeline. I am trying to create a Video Timeline, but not using Frame animation. This option isn't in the bottom left or top right of the Timeline menu. I have tried resetting my preferences, uninstalling and re-installing, creating a new document, and converting all layers to smart objects, and none of those have worked. I have a macbook pro with macOS Big Sur version 11.2.3 with an Apple M1 chip. Thank you for the help!
Version of the app: Photoshop v24.0.1 Platform and OS version: macOS Monterey v12.5.1 Basic steps to reproduce the problem: Open Untagged RGB PNG image Edit > Convert to Profile... > sRGB File > Save File > Close Expected result and actual result: Reopen file Expected: file should retain color profile (needs to be embedded) Result: color profile has not been embedded, remains untagged Work Around: File > Save As... - allows you to check the embed profile box Solution: emed profile box should be checked by default as in Photoshop v23 Embed via saving with a script may also not be working currently.
When creating an artboard with a gradient fill, adjust as needed, then export via export artboards to files, what exports doesn't match what is shown in PS. This is in PS: These are the settings: This is what it looks like when exporting:
Recently I just did an update of Photoshop to V22.3.1 After I launched PS, and then go to the performance dialog box, then noticed that it can't detect my GPU GTX1050i. This was working fine with the previous version of PS. I suspect that the latest update had something to with this problem. Thank you BR, FS Wong
Hi, I noticed weird and a very troubling bug: When I use the type tool and type i.e. April 10-12 2022, the date format changes automatically to April 2022 12-10. I'm running MacOS Monterey 12.0.1 & Photoshop 23.0.1
Hi, I am experiencing a high level of instability in Photoshop with the program crashing several times per hour of editing. I previously had issues when using an older video card that I described in another post. Since then I have updated to a new video card, a 4070, but am seeing just as many or more crashes but under slightly different circumstances. I have attached several files to this message including my system information (the full text file and a JPG of the key hardware), a screenshot of my PS Performance Preferences and GPU Compatibility Check, and 3 crash reports . These reports have come while I have been using the latest version of PS (currently 24.5, one crash report is from when 24.4.1 was the latest) and the latest Nvidia Studio Driver (currently 535.98, though my crash report from 5/14 was on the previous driver which may have been more stable). I have installed the latest Windows Updates and BIOS for my motherboard. Although I have 3 crash reports below that I s

Just got the new update for Photoshop v23.0. I cannot use the object seletion tool anymore without Photoshop crashing after a few steps.
We have a system that cannot save to our Avid Nexis SAN in Photoshop, only save-as. Mac OS X 10.14.6 w/ latest patches. Steps we do to reproduce:1. Save or put a PSD (Photoshop) file on any Nexis workspace.2. Make any change to the file in Photoshop.3. Save it. [Evidently, when choosing Save, Photoshop creates a temporary file alongside the original, named e.g. “Adobe Photoshop 20219283749326576223”. Normally, the user would see this file for a fraction if that before it overwrites the main file.] We get the error: "Could not save ___ because of a program error."The temp file is created on the workspace, but is not removed and stays there, and the main PSD file is not updated (saved).Consecutive attempts cause the same behavior and temp files would just pile up. This never happens when saving to local drives, only the Nexis. Other apps and file operations to the Nexis work fine. This mostly occurs if the file was already saved in the last minute or so. So t
This comes up a lot in the U2U forums with every new release, and has done so as far back as I can remember. When an old version is uninstalled after the new version is installed, file associations break and cannot be restored. It seems the old version takes file associations with it on the way out, leaving them orphaned. What makes this an urgent problem is that the CC app does exactly this when "remove old versions" is checked. When I want to remove old versions I always do that prior to installing the new, and it seems to me the CC app could do that too.It seems there are several different registry edits floating around, and users recommend one or the other in the forums depending. Which is the correct one? What do I tell people on the forums? Two recent threads:https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2415195https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2547864
View > Flip Horizontal now flips not only your canvas, but the entire photoshop viewport, causing my canvas to jump a huge distance when I use it (unless my canvas is lined up perfectly in the middle of the screen, which it almost never is). I was forced to spend my morning un-installing and re-installing older versions to try to find the working version I had been sitting on for a long time (22.4.3) which has the correct functionality for View > Flip Horizontal -- the canvas flips visually in place, without jumping across the screen. Please, PLEASE fix it. I am paying for an expensive Photoshop subscription and I'd like to use new features, but I can't when necessary functionality is broken in new updates.
I have a couple users where the History Log stopped working after the update installed today. If I disable the log then re-enable it it will work until Photoshop is closed. It will not log anything after Photoshop is relaunched though. The app is set to auto update through the Creative Cloud launcher.
Current latest PS version is 23.5 And Object Selection is really slow. It wasn't like this until the early version of PS 2022, but it's getting slower and at 23.5, it's really weirdly slow. I thought there might be a speed difference between turning on and off the option, so I compared it, but the results were the same. Precise previews for 16bit document on/off Native canvas on/off Multithread compositing on/off Use Graphic Processor on/off Image Processing- Select Subject(Device , Cloud) : I don't know if this affects object selection, but I tried changing options. The size of the test image below is really small. 1000px x 667px (sRGB, 8bit document) The reason why I tested it with a small image was because I thought it was because of the large image and the number of layers. But if you look at the gif image below, you can see a huge difference in loading and speed This is Photoshop 23.5's object selection. Even though the end is
Just today, I updated to macOS Monterey and now I am having problems opening vector smart objects in Photoshop files. If Illustrator is closed, when I double click the smart object (or choose edit contents) Illustrator will launch but the file will not open. If Illustrator is open and I try to open the smart object, I get a Mac error window that says "The application "Adobe Illustrator 2022" can't be opened" with a -1703 error code. I'm using Photoshop 23.2.1 and Illustrator 26.0.3, which I went back to after seeing the problem first occur in 26.1. The computer is iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch 2019 | 3.6 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 | macOS Monterey 12.3Thanks in advance
When I try to open the Portrait Pro Studio Max (v.22.2.1) plugin in Photoshop (v.23.1.1) it crashes. Anyone else having this issue? Is there a workaround?
